She and Matthew were my favourites on the show. Such a unique energy with those two. Also, I hope this doesn't come across as weird, but I have to say it's great to see how gracefully and beautifully she has aged. In other interviews, she's talked openly about her body insecurities over the course of the show and after seeing many in the industry - including her co-stars - not being able to deal with aging and resorting to plastic surgery, it's kind of nice to see someone in Hollywood NOT going the Botox route, if that makes sense? She is and was a beautiful woman, and I'm glad she didn't artificially try to change that.
As John Candy’s character said in Cool Runnings, ‘if you’re not enough without it, you’ll never be enough with it.’ Never a truer phrase uttered in film.

If you're a fan of Matthew Perry, go see his not-very-well-watched series Go On. It's only 1 season, but it's the same kind of humor he's an expert in. Damn. What Conan said about it’s nice to have people happy to see you, but it doesn’t fix anything is SO TRUE. All the money and fame in the world won’t repair what’s broken.
Friends was no doubt THE comedy show of its time for a number of reasons, but in my opinion it was Mathew who carried the show through the seasons and fittingly, he got to say the final line of the show.
The reason "Friends" is so beloved is not because it was a funny sitcom, but because it had those elements applied to the action of a group of people becoming exactly that in front of our eyes. How lucky we all were to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
When I wake up at 2 am and my head starts looping on bad things I open my phone and pick up where I last left off on an episode of Friends. Two or three hours later I'm waking up for the day and it's still there, playing quietly near my pillow, keeping my mind peaceful. Thank you so very much David, Jennifer, Matt, Courtney, Lisa, and not least of all Matthew 💜 as well as the producers (David crane, Kevin Bright, and Marta Kauffman) and the writers.
I've not watched Friends since Matt passed away. Friends was my happy place, and now Matt's gone and after reading his book watching Friends makes me sad.

Yeah, same. I watched repeats all the time, but I just realized I haven't seen a single episode since I heard he passed. Didn't even realize I had been avoiding it. He was only a year older than me. He went too soon.
Friends is one of those series that comes from left field with the Sun behind it so it's completely unseen until it hits you, lays you out flat and you spend the rest of your time watching this surprise. One of the funniest TV shows I can remember and it was because they ALL did such an amazing job while making it look effortless and natural. 6 bumbling Friends bouncing through life clueless in many aspects and unknowingly wiser about others. RIP Mathew, you gave so many people the joy of laughter even while you yourself were hurting. You saved many lives with the medicine of your humor, more than you ever could realize. You shine bright in the memories and forever will continue to bring Joy to those who watch you.

@@taylorscott4174 No he was on the ropes and needed urgent help as he was never seen in public like that before. I mean he couldnt talk properly in that Friends reunion so they all would have been aware. They could have stayed with him or visa versa. You know you have real friends when they do that sort of thing.
@@CoffeeOneSugar Get off your high horse buddy. You don’t know if/when/how they tried to help. And again, you cannot help someone who does not wish to be helped. Matthew had millions and means to do what he pleased. They couldn’t force him to do anything. If you think addiction is solved that easily you’re very oblivious and ignorant. Even if they got him clean that time, they can’t babysit him 24/7. He got clean many times and couldn’t stay clean. It is not their fault and he is not their responsibility.
Conan’s too
Matthew Perry, a comedy genius who will be forever missed❤❤
Conan dropping the whole "Famous doesn't fix you" thing mid convo was unexpected, but boy am I glad I heard that right now.
I think being famous hurts people money can sometimes help
I genuinely think it would kill me, be careful what you wish for
@@bluecollarmenproductionsand being famous for having money is probably the worst. Probably. I wouldn’t actually know. So…maybe.
"This is just clear broth" was a brilliant metaphor by Conan, and a very Irish one too! 😁
@@bluecollarmenproductions Money (in moderate amount) can OFTEN help, not just sometimes. It's when/if people start putting money to a wrong use, that's the problem.
Lisa Kudrow is what you call someone with character. Great human being always loved her.
I like Lisa Kudrow, she seems like one of the most real actors in Hollywood.
Just research a bit and you gonna find out, sadly no.
@@Thor_Asgard_ couldn't find much, just one rando mad at her but basically nothing
@@Thor_Asgard_ Research what/where? Can you name credible sources about what's wrong with Lisa Kudrow? I'm sincerely curious.
I have never been a fan of "Friends", but she seems like a nice person.
hardly. I was stand in 1994-1996. She was as phony as the rest of them
Wow. I bet watching it for the first time without Matthew being here is emotional but also heartwarming as you get to see how funny and talented he truly was. I can't believe he isn't here 😭💖
I watched some episodes after his passing and it hit me hard emotionally that Matthew is gone. I'd be laughing but it felt really bittersweet. He really was a brilliant comedic actor.
Rip Matthew Perry
You gave us so many laughters growing up!
My fave character from any show ❤
Lisa a beautiful soul, and so naturally beautiful ❤
The fact that these two used to be in a relationship; Can come together to share their experiences in life during and after their relationship..I am sorry but this is wonderful. Remembering Matthew like this is so lovely. Thank you Conan and Lisa. xxx
Conan, you just articulated how I have been feeling. I finally got what I had been working so hard for and it didn't fix what was broken. It is really challenging.
I’ve also been there and I’d humbly tell you that opening my heart to God has helped me so much.
@@EthEdr i was going to say the same! I really am not trying to be preachy at all. I've also been watching a lot of Charles Stanley here on youtube (he passed away last year) His sermons are very practical & have been helping me get my life back on track.
That Pokémon card won’t heal you, bro 😉
Weed and s'mores help.
Oh man. She commands the room like a queen! And her words about wondering "if everyone loves you, then maybe you'll love you" hit me like a punch in the chest. How profoundly sad, and yet so well put.
I will forever miss Matthew Perry...listening to them talk about him so fondly makes me so, SO sad...
😭😭😭 The influence Friends had on my life as a lonely, 19 year old mom with a deployed husband can’t be measured. This show saved my life and kept me going. I’m 39 now and I still watch it on repeat all of the time.
Yes, I was not just brought up on, but brought up by Friends. I miss Matthew terribly.
❤
I watch it every night.. It's what I fall asleep to..
It's my comfort zone..
I had bad dreams for a few months after Matt's passing..
They have such a great connection and respect for each other - I feel like there's a timeline in the multiverse where these two ended up together.
Very well said!
I always thought she was the prettiest.. I think all six of them were gorgeous, they just had something unique about them individually..
I fully agree, she has aged wonderfully and more importantly, gracefully.
Lisa kudrow you are a wonderful human being. RIP Matt, I loved his work. He'll be missed.
if i was getting paid 20 million in royalties per year, i would be wonderful too.
As John Candy’s character said in Cool Runnings, ‘if you’re not enough without it, you’ll never be enough with it.’ Never a truer phrase uttered in film.
I love her... so warm, genuine, present, comfortable in her skin... brilliant! :)
Lisa is aging so much better than poor depressed Jennifer Aniston😢 depression and infertility really aged her badly and she doesn’t have any family or even a boyfriend. Lisa is really more lucky😅
NO. ME
Oh God .. shut up..
Matthew and Lisa's characters were always my favourite...they just seemed to be the most naturally funny actors/characters in the show.
If you're a fan of Matthew Perry, go see his not-very-well-watched series Go On. It's only 1 season, but it's the same kind of humor he's an expert in. For more dramatic chops, his work on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is spectacular (try to ignore the preachiness of the writing towards the end). Love Matthew's work in both.
Also the newer 'Odd Couple' TV show.
I had forgotten about Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip...that was a good show! Great cast including Perry for sure
He was wonderful in The West Wing.
Go On is so good! I found it after he passed and was so mad I didn't find it before.
Studio 60 is one of the best shows ever put on cable tv. It was too good for the mass audience.
Lisa and Matthew had my favorite moment in the show playing "sex chicken" to keep Chandler and Monica's relationship a secret in Season 5. Rest in Peace, Mr. Perry.

Wow what she said at the end was profound and something I’ve been realizing about self-love lately as well ❤️
Matthew, Conan, and Lisa are my favorites. And it makes me happy that Lisa and Conan are speaking about their happy memory with Matty.
Goodness me, what a lovely and sad conversation. Great to listen to this, felt terribly authentic.
NO WAY. ITS EDITED FOR US PEASANTS!!!!!
She is just such a beautiful person with a heart to match. ❤
Friends was no doubt THE comedy show of its time for a number of reasons, but in my opinion it was Mathew who carried the show through the seasons and fittingly, he got to say the final line of the show.
"Where?"
@@wowkirWhere? What?

The reason "Friends" is so beloved is not because it was a funny sitcom, but because it had those elements applied to the action of a group of people becoming exactly that in front of our eyes. How lucky we all were to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
I love Friends and watch it constantly. I love Phoebe - her character was such a compliment to the rest of the cast!
I love Conan and Lisa. It's nice to watch them talk and be friends. They are good people, and d class acts all the way. These two do good in the world, and I appreciate it.
i shaped my humor off alot of comedians and comedy stars. Mathew was definitely one of them. One of the funniest people we got to experience. RIP and thanks again for the laughs as well as the great acting.
My daughter was on Friends and I can honestly say, they are wonderful people.
Wow, this interview has done it.
I can watch Friends again.
I just couldn't bare it after Matt's passing.
Yeah, same. I watched repeats all the time, but I just realized I haven't seen a single episode since I heard he passed. Didn't even realize I had been avoiding it. He was only a year older than me. He went too soon.
Same
Lisa so pretty I can watch her talk all day! Love her voice her laugh!
That laugh at 00:12 ♥
Friends is one of those series that comes from left field with the Sun behind it so it's completely unseen until it hits you, lays you out flat and you spend the rest of your time watching this surprise.
Yay Lisa Kudrow ❤️❤️
The comeback is unbelievably good, finished it in 2 days! She’s so good
I know I cam way late to it, but it's really unique.
I am one of the lucky ones that watched this show premiere each week and it was a huge part of my life, I planned to stay home to watch it, no DVRs and to me it's the best comedy show ever on tv
Ssme. It was an Wednesday evening with Friends and 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996 in my country).
Same here! I totally remember seeing the first episode of the show when it premiered and talking to my friends about what we thought of it!
@@PhoebeFayRuthLouiseI was just talking about this versus my 13 year old nephew. We always had something to talk about in school on Friday (Friends), and then on Monday about the movie we saw over the weekend (like Titanic or Armageddon)…listening to the same Backstreet Boys or Blink-182 CDs. I feel like kids that are my age that I was back in ‘98 or ‘99 don’t have even close to that common bond no matter who you were.
Same, I always made time for Friends❤
Same. As a 90s kid i got to grow up with the show and experience new episodes every week watching with my brothers.
Her laugh is still all that precious! 🥰🥰😀😀
i love lisa so much, shes such a gem
I’ll say this again, it’s a crime that Conan wasn’t the person who made the reunion show with them. Especially since he did a wonderful interview at the end of season 10. The last official friends related project is 50% awesome memories with the actors, 50% cringe fest. 😢
I would imagine that seeing him in those episodes could be hard but also such a gift. My father died almost two years ago suddenly and I treasure the video I have of him dancing. I wish I had taken more videos. Now I do it all the time with the people I love because the pictures are nice but don’t capture the essence of the person like seeing them talking, laughing and doing what they love ❤
Big hugs to her and the other cast members ❤❤❤❤
She is so smart. I love seeing this convo.

Great interview!! Mathew was so brilliant and funny 😢💜
I am an alcohol and drug counselor and a therapist. I am so grateful for this clip and I plan to share it with the men that I work with who are struggling with chemical dependency and mental health issues. This is not the first time that Conan has been helpful in my job. I often suggest that my clients listen to the interview that Howard Stern did with Conan. It's human to believe that some achievement will make everything okay. The truth is that we can love ourselves right now, we can connect with contentment, we can be grateful right now. This is not to say that we give up all achievement, all our dreams for ourselves, but we don't fool ourselves about what they will do for us. Thank you, Conan and Lisa!
Such a great interview. Lisa is so funny, no wonder Matthew said in his book that she was the funniest woman in the world ❤️

She's always been my favorite "Friend" I adored her quirkiness and embracing of things not traditional. IRL, as in this interview, she does not disappoint. She seems candid, real and very grounded. I'm so sorry they've all lost this beautiful person in their lives. He was a gift
