I love this but I do have to make people aware how powerful this is. I've been on a healing journey from past trauma for years and got into yoga again due to this channel. I tend to suppress my emotions because I'm used to being in an environment where I'm only safe when I do that. When doing this yoga, I never cried. But after a whole month of doing it at least 3 times a week, I'm suddenly finding to correlation between this yoga and the amount of times I took time to cry. One of the things my therapist suggested me to do is to practice sitting down with negative emotions because I have an instict not to do it. And I dont look forward to it most of the time. But this month its been easier to cry since doing this yoga. Highly recommended but do with caution. Make sure you're in a safe comfortable environment to fully feel the effects of this yoga

So do you mean to say that you didn't cry _while_ doing the yoga, but maybe later that day or week? Because I also did some somatic release asanas yesterday afternoon and didn't feel any emotions, but cried profusely in the evening. Also, I didn't seem to find any improvement in a painful adductor immediately after the exercise, but after the evening cry, I did! Just wanted to know other people's experiences too regarding this

    • @friskaxzy3399
      @friskaxzy3399 6 месяцев назад +10

@@orangenerator yep! Personally, I didn't cry during the yoga. Its a fair assumption to think that each person reacts to these differently. I sometimes dont cry later in the day. Maybe tomorrow or the next week. But I can definitely say its easier to get in touch with my emotions when I can cry. I havent done this yoga in weeks and I havent cried for a month I think.

I enjoy the fact you let me stay in a stretch for ample amount of time instead of switching it up so fast. It’s frustrating when I’m following a video and just get into the pose and it’s already on to something else. Thank you for allowing my body to feel each pose sufficiently.

I finished pelvic radiation therapy at the end of 2023. I have developed a painful stiffness in my hips from the radiation (confirmed by my medical team). My oncologist offered drugs, I told them that would be my last resort. I have never done yoga, but I was able to follow your video all the way through, making adjustments when the stretches were too painful. By the end of the video, I began to feel a bit better. I look forward to making your video part of my healing journey. Thank you so much ❤

Never give up as I broke my hip in the (my shoe stuck to the floor whilst I was in flight). After replacement I was told by drs not to exercise in the gym again. Instinct kicked in. I was guided by Ex. Phys to exercise gently in the gym, stretching abductors and ligaments nicely, and my strength began returning. Pain ceased after 6/12.
These exercises are superb for all health levels but vital for hip or any joint situations. Recommended and listen to your body. Brilliant Kaitlin, thank you.

Thank you Thank you Thank you. I cant say that enough. I found myself pausing a lot to stay in the poses longer because my body said so. The outer hip stretches!!!!! I've never felt that before. I know what my trauma is and for the first time I felt some release from my hips which is where I store all of my trauma. I will be doing this often(maybe everyday) after my somatic workout. I'm determined to get my body out of freeze mode and get back to myself. Thanks again.

I absolutely love this video. I’ve been doing this somatic yoga for 6 days sometimes multiple times a day. I started because of the trauma I wanted to release and then I hurt my back and this yoga literally took all the pain away every time I would do it so that’s why I did it multiple times a day. Well this evening my back and hip was hurting so bad I started the yoga and I finally got the emotional release I’ve been waiting for. I cried uncontrollably for a time paused the video so I won’t miss any of the positions and just felt the pain and trauma leaving my body. Even the spot in my hip seemed to immediately lose the pain I’ve had all day. I will continue to follow your RUclips channel and look forward to more emotional releases. I’m working on healing so I can be a better me. Thank you for posting your video.

Right now is the beginning of a brand new life for me. I was also able to understand my past traumas as well as heal my past traumas. I believe God brought me to this Channel for a reason because this is something I don't do. I pray that all who has done this may experience the same.❤

I did this for quite a bit yesterday night. It's been heavy for me. way too heavy. and when I did this, no tears came out. I felt like crying, but I had no tears. I still felt numb. even though in me, is an ocean of sadness, anxiety and alot of words. yet I could not tear up.
today, after a therapy session, I just felt like bursting out in tears. I just want to say, it's okay if you dont cry or express anything whilst doing it. But, make sure you are ready and open to these big feelings afterwards. Make space for it.
cry your eyes out if need be. just cry. just cry. theres no weakness in crying. thats how your body releases and feels better. theres no limit to crying. Life has been tough on you, be your support.

I finished the video and felt very relaxed and a lot of the stiffness in my body went away with the stretching but I didn’t cry or get emotional. Or so I thought. I was scrolling on TikTok after, when a video popped up of someone singing Ave Maria and I just busted out in tears as I was listening to it. I started reflecting on how I need to be more kind with myself, in the sense that I’m very hard on myself, emotionally and mentally. Bottom line is, it felt good to let it out.

I want to thank you for posting this yoga session.
My hips and lower back have been messed up for weeks and I find this so freeing and helpful.
I have ADHD along with menopause 🤪 so sometimes 5 minutes can seem like forever but I always make it through the 20 minutes easily and rarely look at the time.
I’ve been doing this session daily which also helps my procrastination because it’s just my go to without having to scroll through many different choices.
    Thank you again.

I really want to thank you for this ✨️ I live with CPTSD and have a body that is so contracted. Not gonna lie, there was alot of discomfort, shaking and ragged breath but staying present and connected to my body was able to happen. My indicator of trauma release from the body isn't crying, it's actually laughing and as soon as we lay on our backs, bam- laughter 🙌
    And your dog, omg 🥰🖤

Hi- I’m Laura Lee. This is my first time doing this practice with Caitlin. I am just 10 months of an abusive situation that tore me down on all levels . I could not do all the poses due to tense muscles, so I adapted as needed to do the stretch. I was only able to complete ten minutes of the session, but I already feel the release in my body and emotions. I will be back tomorrow! Thank you 💙

I didn’t think I had any emotions stored in my hips. Felt really good going through all the stretches. And then when I took my first deep breath in savasana, I started crying. Did not expect that at all. But felt so good to release those emotions. Thank you! I’ll be coming back for more!

I don’t know but the pigeon pose brought up some emotions and tears started to well up in my eyes. But I couldn’t cry. I am amazed that I could even get this emotional with yoga. I will keep doing your videos and I hope the buried emotions trapped inside will begin to come out. Thank you for this.

After diving into trauma and how our body stores trauma I now can explain that uncomfortable feeling in my hips during childhood.. I feel sorry for myself for experiencing such at that lil age. When i was doing happy baby pose my legs were shivering... And now after completing this session it feels good physically and mentally i feel all of my emotions are gushing but are unable to come out

I’ve been doing exercises for hips and lover back for a while now with the intention to release trapped emotions and trauma, and the exercises shown are good, BUT it feels like hiit workout the way we switch from one exercise to the next without any focus on the breath, intention and, in fact, release. Emotions need time to be processed and released, it’s not a race to do as many exercises as we can in 20 min, but to be present in the postures. It’s nice to have someone guide you through it while you follow a class/session

I was shocked and confused when I finished the video and started crying super hard. Came to release some hip tension and instead unblocked a sea of emotion I didn’t know was welling up inside of me. What an interesting experience this was for me 🥹 thank you 🙏🏻

I've been hearing about this sort of exercising since a while, but I wouldn't ever believe it does something. It's only my first time trying, and I started feeling a great pain in my chest, couldn't breath, and then.... It came all out, my inner pain. My tears ran down my cheeks. It's like a big weight went out of my body. It's really a thing that must do. What happened, is A REAL. Hopefully that I'll reduce my inner pain soon with this one.

I must have super pent up emotions because my experience was nothing like the comments, but I did enjoy this video very much.
I felt fear (of my knees locking - something that has happened many times and is super painful) during the circle movements.
I felt panic a few times throughout the session.
And during pigeon pose (the hardest for me) I felt the massive urge to flee. Literally. I stayed put, though, and tried to breathe through it. I even tried to throw out some words of encouragement to myself like “You’re okay” and “You’re safe right now.”
I’m not sure what, if any reactions are common with these videos but I look forward to more.
