  • This audit takes place outside this Chase bank location, with quite an interesting chain of events that played out . I was first approached by an elderly man questioning why I was outside the bank recording. Soon after, he went over to the security guard who was standing under a tree in the parking lot are, to possibly get some insight from him regarding what I was doing. The elderly man then returned inside the bank, to possibly go alert the staff about my presence on the sidewalk. The man and his wife eventually left & moments later a female employee made her way over to the guard outside . After a short discussion with the guard, both individuals came my way, with the guard approaching asking if I needed any assistance. I noticed he had a handgun in a holster, so I asked the guard to keep a distance from me as I didn't feel 100% safe with him off bank property getting close to me, as long as he had a weapon at his side. The female employee went back inside & approximately 15-20 mins later, an officer from Seal Beach P.D arrived on scene. Almost immediately after he exited his patrol vehicle, he began asking me if i called for service due to the fact the security guard had a weapon. I informed the officer that I did not place a call for police service , but informed him that I did mention what I said previously to the guard. The office then turned to me with what seemed to be a bit of an attitude assuming I was the one who called for service. I told him to check his call records for clarification to who placed the call. He then proceeded to speak with the guard, insisting that I was doing some First Amendment nonsense. I immediately called him out for that remark, then he said what I was doing was nonsense as if I heard him incorrectly, which I did not. I did obtain an incident # for the call. 2303-05952
    I also filed a FOIA request for the call record to dispatch for full clarification to who actually called...As of this day, I have not received further information about the call. I will keep you all posted if any further developments take place.

It ONLY protects cops when they do their job the way they were taught to do it. If ANY cop knowingly and willingly commits a crime against you and/or violates your rights, you can sue them and their department. And if you recorded them doing it, or if you have witnesses to support you, you will prevail in court. What about that confuses you. Excerpt, Public Law 108-447 Section 111 of Title I, Division J, of the Fiscal Year 2005 Consolidated Appropriations Act, enacted into law on December 8, 2004, instructs each Federal agency to provide educational materials concerning the United States Constitution to each employee on September 17 of each year.
    The Oath of Office and the Constitution. Each Federal civil servant takes an oath of office by which they swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. The wording of the oath that's used today was adopted in 1884.

    Cops said it all. The Constitution is non sense. Perfect interaction with someone excersising their right should have gone this way. Cop - Hi sir did you call? Photographer - No. Cop - OK thank you. Cop to guard - he's on the sidewalk taking photos, perfectly legal and within all Americans rights to take photos in public. I appreciate your call and in the future if you feel threatened go ahead and call, but if someone is taking photos in public, from public, just leave them alone, more than likely they will leave. Cop to photographer - thank you sir have a nice day, you shouldn't be bothered any longer. Photographer - you have a nice day too officer.

    Actually since the cop is acting in his official capacity as law enforcement he probably can't have as much attitude as he wants since there's likely something in his department's code of conduct about being professional and courteous to the public.

  • @deekae8010
    @deekae8010 Год назад +1

    I will say this, leaving all the attitude out of it... That actually was the perfect audit. The cop showed up to a call, got told he wasn't going to be answered, and walked to talk to another party. He told the security guard, "He can do what he wants." He could have left out his commentary, but after informing the security guard, the guy was within his rights, and there was nothing to see here, He abruptly left freeing himself up for real crimes and calls. I would rate a B, but I could have done without the smart-azz-ery, but hey, I'm not always rainbows and sunshine.l either.
