- Donald Trump has survived an apparent assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania, where he was addressing supporters.
The alleged shooter has been killed, along with at least one bystander, the Butler county district attorney has confirmed. Trump was bundled off the stage by Secret Service agents five minutes into his speech. He raised his fist definitely as he was led away to a waiting car, with blood dripping down his face.

My understanding is that the shooter was quickly killed by security (likely prior to them removing Trump to safety). I am sure this will be thoroughly investigated with full reporting.

We don’t know who the shooter was or what their motives were. Let’s not speculate about who did this until we know more. If you are right about the shooter now, you will still be right in two days. In the meantime, close ranks with people of good will around the world. I’m a Canadian socialist, and I’m appalled by this & I wish Mr. Trump the best of health for his recovery. To you, an American, I offer my deepest condolences that this happened in your country, and I am very sorrowful for the families of those who were hurt or killed and I offer them my heartfelt condolences.
