They can only help in finding the perp *after* the fact. But they do not stop crime on their own. That is one whopper we have been told. Another is that corporations that set up cams can be held accountable for what happens with the footage. You can complain and they have to delete your image. So they tell you. And the moon is made of cheese, do you want a bite? The third whopper is that when the government - specifically law enforcement - takes pictures of you you can complain and file FOIA requests. Try getting the bodycam footage of your last traffic stop. You can count yourself lucky if the bodycam was even active at the time...and the footage did not get "accidentially" lost. There is even more hoops you have to jump through. But at least with corps and cops you have the "chance" to get your hands on their videos, you do not get one with a private citicen with a cam. FOIA does not apply to private individuals. So whatever the cammer captures he can do with as he pleases. There is no way for you to invoke any rights that you do not have in the first place against him. And THAT is what many people see as irksome. Against a cop or a corp you can file a complain, but against a cammer in public? No way, Jose. And because they can't get any legal recourse they try the morality approach. "Think about the kids....This is harassment..." And then they downright lie. "You can't film here.... I did not give you permission/consent....You have to bow to my will....We feel threatened..."

The disabled person may "seem completely fine" - and, perhaps they are, since they have a "shorter walk" using the disable parking spot. As a Catholic and attend mass regularly, i wouldn't be offended by a person on a public sidewalk filming. The auditor making a comment about the no trespassing sign and saying "what are the hiding", that to me is offensive. That trespass sign is there for the purpose of warning anyone causing any disruptive actions on church property will be dealt with legal action. There has been lots activists come to services, for the purpose of disturbing the services, vandalize property and assaults. Not all Parishioners are alike, some take offence at being filmed, they are wrong when the are in public, and they should just ignore it, let it be, 1st amendment activity, but they same 1st amendment activity of the parishioners should be protected from activists coming into the services and disrupting them. I have no I'll will against peace full auditors, I will simply ignore them as if they are not there.. if some goes and confronts them, they become the goat, and the auditor gets to post (his/her) video of that goat.

This now makes multiple videos where I see an expensive car, in a church parking lot, in the handicap space. This is combined with the driver getting out and walking around, seemingly completely fine. One must assume there is a mental disability, I guess. Although that brings their ability to drive safely into question. I’m certain their handicap wouldn’t be a lie, right?
I am disabled, I still park out because I am of the mindset that just because it hurts to move if I don't I will loose the mobility I have. I know a lot of people who have disabilities you can't see but that does not mean they are not there. At least he recognized he had the right to film and was friendly about it. I am more upset by Mr. Communist and his lack of understanding the first Amendment.

@David - People who can afford expensive cars have disabilities as well. Many people with disabilities may not be obvious to others. The disabled person may "seem completely fine" - and, perhaps they are, since they have a "shorter walk" using the disable parking spot. However, watch that same person have to walk 2, 3, 4 or 5 times the distance - and you may begin to get a clue. The best advice here is... MYOB!

As a Catholic and attend mass regularly, i wouldn't be offended by a person on a public sidewalk filming. The auditor making a comment about the no trespassing sign and saying "what are the hiding", that to me is offensive. That trespass sign is there for the purpose of warning anyone causing any disruptive actions on church property will be dealt with legal action. There has been lots activists come to services, for the purpose of disturbing the services, vandalize property and assaults. Not all Parishioners are alike, some take offence at being filmed, they are wrong when the are in public, and they should just ignore it, let it be, 1st amendment activity, but they same 1st amendment activity of the parishioners should be protected from activists coming into the services and disrupting them. I have no I'll will against peace full auditors, I will simply ignore them as if they are not there.. if some goes and confronts them, they become the goat, and the auditor gets to post (his/her) video of that goat.

No one is going to mess with you. If you come to cause trouble, ie vandalize, destroy, disturb services ECT, then you will be asked to leave, and if you don't, you will be trespassed. In the city I live in, there has been many parishes vandalize. Just last year some a**ho*e burned a whole wing of the Catholic high school that I had graduated from. This person broke in, and set it on fire for what ever reason, we have had many vandals on many church properties here in town, all across the country and all across the globe. It's are first amendment right to worship as we please, as long as we aren't violating any laws.
