"I Don't Give You My Consent To Film Me Or My Customers"

- This audit takes place outside this Starbucks location where I did my documenting from the public sidewalk. I was encountered by a classic 'Karen" who rolled her window down stating she didn't to be recorded. I informed her that If she didn't want to be on camera, she shouldn't roll down the window & get the attention of the person holding a camera. She was about to pull out of the driveway into traffic, but decided to get out of her car partially blocking the pedestrian walkway, & walked back to the pick up window to complain about my presence recording. She eventually got back in her car & drove away. I was also met by a possible supervisor of the coffee shop stating that he didn't give consent to document himself or the customers. I retuned that logic to him , stating that I didn't consent for him to approach & talk to me, but he did anyways, so consent isn't really needed 😂 Eventually a Sargent with the Orange County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene & proceeded to go inside the back door to speak with the supervisor who called for service. This was an obvious fail for the calling party & a pass for the sheriff's department coming out to this call in how he handled the situation.

My go to specialty at Starbucks IS TO NEVER GO TO STARBUCKS.
You don’t want to pay $10 for a burnt coffee loaded with birthday cake? 😅
Ive only ever bern once when someone gave me a gift card
Me too😂 never been myself and really don't care too😊
I wouldn't pay for there over price coffee.
When I lived in Colorado I liked the cookies they made at Starbucks but not the coffee. The coffee I liked from there was so sweet I couldn’t stand how sweet it was. I’d shake from caffeine and sugar. So I’d make my coffee I liked at home. And eat the cookies I got at Starbucks with my coffee. lol I’d go and get a couple of packages of cookies and the lady in Starbucks would ask me if I wanted coffee? I would say no it gives me the shakes woth that much sugar and caffeine. She would just laugh. lol
She smiles and says she will call the cops because she doesn’t get her way. Ignorant and mean human being.
Apparently, when she complained to the truck driver, he TOLD HER she was wrong (1A), and to leave or be arrested.
not sure what she think the police gonan do to them
I am amazed at the number of people who feel they are entitled to answers from anyone in public. Who the heck do they think they are?
They think it's illegal and get scared. It's more about ignorance than entitlement.
It's good education for them and good content for us :)

After Starbucks received all the bad press for the racist call to the police on the two black men, this is not good for business. Time to educate all Starbuck managers that filming is not a crime and the police should not be called to the establishment. I have drank coffee every day for the last 50 years, in my opinion Starbucks is overpriced. BOYCOTT STARBUCKS!

@ahjaanugh,
***“After Starbucks received all the bad press for the racist call to the police on the two black men…”***
You’re most likely referring to the NJ incident.
If you stop watching media, and get the ‘facts’, you’d learn the ‘truth’.
That was not a racist act (or a racist call) to the police.
The manager’s call to the police was right on!
However, the ‘woke’ management at Starbucks fired her. She sued the company, and then the Jury learned the facts…and awarded the judgement in her favor.
Why don’t you, Mr. Woke, look up ‘what amount’ the Jury awarded her!
(I can tell you this, but I want to make this a ‘teaching moment’ and see if you can learn how to ‘find facts’!)
Perhaps, after finding facts, you can leave your original statement ‘as posted’, and add an apology to that Manager!
I like that: 'I don't give you consent to talk to me' line. More auditors should use it!

It's always amusing when people smugly say that they're going to call the police. "Hello, officer? That person is obeying the law. Arrest them!"

It’s bad enough when these entitled silly goobers walk right up to you to say they don’t want to be filmed, it takes a special kind of idiocy to say that while driving away inside their car. They all actually want attention.
So many believe that they can't be captured by a camera in public, where they are surrounded by cameras taking their picture. I wonder why so many of the mopes subscribe to that privacy in public notion.

Deputy Donut still couldn't resist throwing in a "stay on the sidewalk and off private property" directive.

She seemed to be mad at the world; she's found the perfect occupation that fits her personality.
You would think if he understood you knew your rights that you would know to stay off private property and restricted areas!! They just can't help themselves they have to get a directive in there somewhere just to feel superior to you!!!!!!

When you said that the jeep was not blocking the sidewalk, that gave me a thought that when Nick comes out again if he does, tell him you’re doing a survey to see how many Starbucks customers block the sidewalk while exiting the establishment and causing concern about pedestrians and the handicap. Give him something to think about. Same thing for someone who blocks the sidewalk and insists on talking to you, mentioned that they’re blocking the sidewalk and you’re doing a survey thank you for participating.
I like it, yt650!
Tell Nick you're going to file an ordinance request to the city, to have Starbucks install 'don't block side walk' signs at the exits.

Or how many car going through the drive in have no front car license? Answer: Two, the Tesla and the car with the dog.
More proof that the audit community is making a difference!!
How the cop had to waste tax money to come tell the guy at Starbucks that this is just another good ball with a camera wanting someone to show him attention. Don’t give it to him his video will be a lot shorter.
Imagine patronizing a company that overcharges you for a product and refusing the rights of their employees from organizing a union for better pay and benefits.
Unions are not a right. And neither is pay and benefits. But yea....Starbucks suck ass.
I’ve noticed you’ve become more assertive although still polite. That’s good. For what it’s worth, I do think you should tell people that calling the police is a waste of time because public photography is legal and constitutionally protected as freedom of the press. Great job. Keep up the good work educating Americans about civil liberties one person at a time.
They need to hear it several times from an overweight, gun toting, badge wearing, donut eating expert, and even then they don't like the explanation.
Argue with people?,
😂 does the ppl who come up to the cameras live under a rock? To say you don't have the right 😂,to film I'm calling the police, okay like having a camera is a big deal
It's better this way. She gets to audit the cop and the people who called will get an education they remember through an embarrassing situation.
If only the Karen's worked this hard to defend our rights.
Total 100% Karen. She goes out of her way to create a conflict and then runs to someone complain about it.
Police dont have to respond to every call .they choose to respond because a camera was involved and cameras are public enemy number 1
And a camera only shoots film not ammunition. ..
Mmmmm we've got two calls an armed Bank raid or a guy with a camera !!!!!!!!!!
Cops frequently do not respond to calls. Their argument that they must respond is a lie. But American cops are habitual liars.
Yeah, to the law enforcement and people who have no idea that it is a constitutional right for anyone who wants to ! Cops are afraid they will be recorded abusing someone's rights or breaking laws themselves or just being themselves as corrupt individuals!!!!!!
Too effing bad.
If someone is threatening you, police sometimes won’t even come out unless you’ve been physically assaulted, but they come out for cameras in public almost every time!
When will people learn? If you ignore the person with a camera and go about your business, you are virtually unnoticed and quickly forgotten. If you go out of your way to confront the person with a camera, you become a RUclips thumbnail forever. Silly rabbits.
Also, one thing I never do is thank cops. Notice as soon as you had him roll down his window to engage you, he started spouting directives. Every last one of them has a superiority complex, they cannot help themselves.
