- This audit takes place from the public sidewalk outside Calvary Chapel. We arrived between worship times as one was letting out & the other was going to be getting underway soon after. Once we arrived & began documenting , one of the security personnel approached us, wanting to know why we were documenting & what. When I declined to answer & asked what authority she had to question what we were doing, she retuned back onto property & soon came back & had another individual with her. The individual who she returned with happened to be the head Pastor of the church, who was supportive of us exercising our rights , as he mentioned he was a former service member in our Armed Forces. Overall , we gave this church a pass , even though as first it seemed like our interaction with security initially could have easily been a fail.

The pastor was great. He probably should have educated the security lady before she came back out and got shut down in public. Otherwise,great response by this house of worship. Great audit FAR!

I know people that carry in church and they have all talked about sitting in strategic areas of the church in case anything like a shooter comes in.

@Jan Nowak I'm kinda with you on that. Sure, the pastor and his partners there talked a good talk, and I give them credit for de-escalating the situation. That said, much like we see with police, they pretend to be cool with what an auditor is doing, but behind the scenes will tell the reporting party "eh they're just trying to get a rise out of you - they do it for clicks - UNFORTUNATELY we cant arrest them".... I've heard it all before.
@@BlackAndWhiteBand yep very true. But there are some cops out there that do genuinely support auditors. They’re a rare bunch, yes, but they do exist. Long Island Audits actually did a ride-along with a police officer in Ohio or Illinois last year and attended a 1st Amendment training class as well. He takes auditing to new levels.

Well that actually took me by complete surprise! When they came out in numbers I thought "here we go again" but the Pastor was so understanding, knowledgable and disarming I would have been speechless if I had been there. I'm not a big fan of any organised religion, but I would quite happily have a long chat with that guy about it if he asked, he seems like a genuinely caring person.
Wow I nearly shed a tear when I saw how well that went. If all audits went this well you might not be making videos anymore. Bravo to all involved.

You what is strange is that they said she couldn't go in with her camera, but yet sometimes parishioners take pictures inside, during weddings,baptisms or other special occasions and some churches broadcast services online so what are they afraid of 🤷♀️
I loved everything about this audit! Pastor Eric is an exceptional human being, and he takes Gods word seriously, and it absolutely shows. This is how true Christians behave, because they are truly happy and humble. Honestly, I really think the church just hired this woman to be security, just to give her something to do. I mean look at her, she is not going to harm a fly, nor could she physically be able to. 10/10 for Calvary Church, great job guys and God Bless.

Not every veteran "fought for our freedoms" in the military, this is a cliche quite often used when we know not all wars the US participated in were about fighting for our freedoms...
I would posit that most veterans don’t actually fight for our freedoms and haven’t for generations

That old lady is a HUGE liability. I can't imagine who would ever give her a gun. Wow that is a tragedy waiting to happen. Honestly no one over 59 should be allowed to carry a gun for hire (police, guards, etc). They are just too old at that point.

I would tell that security guard, I don't answer questions, I am within my rights to film in public.She isn't law enforcement, she's a private security guard.A rent a cop.
That security woman is a prime example of what's wrong with society today....she comes out on a public sidewalk to talk to someone...asks 2 questions....they get answered and her next comment is "you're not answering my questions"?!?!?.... people like this are the example of perceived authority....they think anyone they address is supposed to bow before them....when somebody knows better....they walk away with their tail between their legs....how do people like THAT get approved to work in security positions? If an actual security issue came up...does anyone actually think THAT woman would be of any help at all? She could barely manage to get her questions out out her mouth.
It IS extremely hard re-teaching Old Dogs old tricks , much less new ones they have no interest in learning.

There were some good vibes emanating from this church, and the pastor taught the female guard a useful lesson when he gently stifled her. I was looking at the Calvary Chapel web site, and thought it interesting that they describe themselves thus: "We’re Jesus people, not religious people."
