- I was recently in Fullerton Ca. gathering photos and videos outside this local bank. I had a couple interactions from a couple different employees, one even wanted me to leave the public sidewalk. One customer gave me the "1 finger salute" from across the lobby inside .

I loved they way you made her feel stupid without saying "you're stupid". Genius! I love when the cops don't come! You CA folks have really gotten the word out to the police.
I love that the cops don’t come too, and pretty soon these auditors will have no reason to do this anymore. They won’t get the pathetic attention they want.

It's almost like there was a problem, and once it is fixed there won't be a problem anymore.
Cops are less tyrannical that other southern and northeastern states except for the LA sheriff department.
These people are so confident that they will get their questions answered and get people to do what they ask and want.
This is a bank. This is the White House. This is the Supreme Court. This is Buckingham Palace. This is St Peter's Square. This is the Sydney Opera House. Banks really don't have the same status.

I love it when they make the 9-1-1 call in your sight as if that's supposed to scare you off. Besides this is California where tons of tourists visit all the time. Seems they would be used to cameras by now.

I guess I'm trying to figure out what's so scary about somebody filming from a sidewalk in broad daylight? Anybody who was casing the bank definitely wouldn't be going about it that way.

The person doing the filming could be a 3rd party to criminals. Doesn't necessarily suggest they would be the ones doing it.
But yeah... it's silly to try to thought-police this type of "future crime".

The only concern I could see them calling about would be "maybe he's doing a recon for a robbery but that's a long stretch. If they dispatched me to this, I would just say first amendment audit? Stayed on the sidewalk ? Didn't threaten anyone? Ok later dude. Then go talk to the bank employees.

It always seems to be people over 40YO that want to give someone problems for recording or simply taking a picture smdh. It’s like they did grow up in a time period when jumping in front of a camera just simply to yell out “Hi mom” or whoever they wanted to give a shout-out to that might see it. It’s honestly so sad that they’ve gotten to be this way in such a short time…

Employees should be forced to explain, in detail, exactly how a photograph represents a threat to them or their business. They are simply incapable of processing the situation and realizing that no harm can come to them from the creation of an image of their building!
