- Here we have the 2nd part of this two part audit taking place outside this government contracted business. After my initial interaction with the owner, I moved to the corner for a better vantage point to see when law enforcement might be arriving on scene, however the owner came out once again , this time with two others as he continued with his claims of my disrupting his business. After another 20 mins or so I informed him now that he was wasting his own business day , by continuing to be outside with me which was now easily between 30-45 mins total. I asked for confirmation if police were on their way, informing him that I don't run from law enforcement. He wasn't able to give the confirmation. At one point, his buddy assumed a car parked next to the business was mine so he went to document the plate, however I was parked over a block away . As it appeared that police would not be showing up , I offered a truce for each of us to go in opposite directions. But for some reason his ego wouldn't let his go inside. finally they retreated back around the corner & I took the opportunity to wrap it up at that location.

The fact that he has an auction coming up is an indication his business is in decline. With this kind of confrontational action, it's a sure bet he's hiding something his business is doing that's illegal or breaches the contracts he has.

Why don't people like him realize that when an auditor come around ,it's like free advertising. Go say hi, tell him about your business and let it go at that. When he come off as an ass like he is, that could turn off possible clients. I watch a lot of these and yes, there are ignorant auditors as well but this one isn't one of them.
That presupposes that these guys are aware of auditors and would have the wherewithal to behave that way. But auditors bank on the fact that most people aren't aware of them and their tactics.
I've seen that a few times, it is not only the right thing to do, it looks great. It was a Sandwich shop, the guy walked by said "Wait here" run inside and came out with a sample. Then talked up his place and gave a brief history of his establishment.

Don't think that other auditors won't gather and show up. And some of them are not as nice and passive as Chris, some are aggressive and provocative because they do desire he screws up so they can sue the crap out of him.

i would put his company info on the video more prominently so the public can respond to what they see from a company that does business in your area. I think the public responds appropriately and organically to bullies and those that harass if one thinks it is that. Appreciate you staying calm and cool, you engaged him more than i think he deserved. I would also suggest that you get one of those sticks where you can extend your camera in height and then what can he do. I would love to see you revisit this place and have 6 other auditors come with you. That would be must see tv , lol.

It is a shame that what is fundamentally a hard working business owner who probably respects and follow the laws has got himself so wrapped up in his own ego he can't do the right thing.
