    When I go into my local weed dispensary, I could care less if someone sees me go in or not. If you're that paranoid maybe you should not be smoking weed in the first place.

      Their cameras are for security & one of the many reasons while im recording in public , so is mine when someone approaches me

      @@johnsampson6387 yeah like vids from 1990 that everyone posts and no one in the background cared..I’ve seen them. I had some skate videos like that, even some rc ones from public, and no one cared about the camera. It’s a weird thing to do approaching someone just making a video …

      Actually, no. The Federal government just decriminalized Marijuana, a few days ago. All Federal Marijuana laws are now defunct.

    I counted at least ten cameras on their building. LOL. Just tell them, "If you stop filming me, I will stop filming you." That usually shuts them up.

      There's 6 or 7 in the extra parking in the rear, alone....and 6 or 7 toward the public entrance, and at least 6 to 10 more in the building's front facade.....

      How does she know her security cameras and computer network are not compromised? When was the last time she paid for an outside audit/pen test? Does she have the appropriate documentation to prove it to her clients? I really doubt it.

      That is exactly what I was thinking the other day. Everytime I watch an audit and I see ladies behind desks or security guards etc.. I am so grateful that they will be supplying us with entertainment for much of the foreseeable future.

      She never demanded anything, she just asked (which is completely lawful). Distracting is up to interpretation. She is allowed to stand on the property wherever she wants, just as the photographer is allowed to stand wherever he wants on the public sidewalk and film. She did nothing wrong, she just didn't know that he was allowed to I'm guessing.

      Chris Bowman, What ? Train the dispatchers properly ? Maybe a poster board close to the dispatcher work station ! With questions for dispatchers to ask ... what sidewalk is he on ? What kind of camera does it look like. Why law do you think is being broken ? Have you ever read the constitution? Have you read the FIRST amendment. Can you read ? These questions should resolve 90 % of the calls and eliminate MILLIONS of dollars of WASTED on needless PUBLIC SERVICES.

    The employees did good and not one was rude. They asked nicely and didn’t know what to do when told no. Once they called the cops and got educated they left him alone. That free bottle of water offered was to save face.

    The nerve of these people…”our guests don’t want to be filmed”. I guess they don’t otherwise ever leave their house. There are cameras ALL OVER these days. Banks, grocery stores, and many more places, including traffic lights!

    It really was absurd how the one "guest" asked the dispensary to obtain special treatment for her in public (tell that woman on the sidewalk not to take my picture...waaaaaa!). The guest can just put a bag over her head if she's that shy. I got a kick out of how dispensary personnel approached you again at the end, to conduct damage control. :D I think you're right that 911 told them there is no crime being committed, so no police will be dispatched.

    She is WRONG . The California law doesn't state that the I'd must be scanned it states that the dispensary only has to verify that you are 21 or older. They scan fir for marketing purposes.

    Overall that was quite positive. So many people are brainwashed by TV cop shows, they don’t know what Rights they, or you, really have, and God knows government run schools aren’t going to teach them. Respect and politeness are great tools to educate, although admittedly going scorched earth would be extremely satisfying on the egomaniacal tyrants from time to time.

    They may be concerned because many of these cash only shops are being robbed now that weather is good. High security alert and trying to protect the interest and safety. You might also be a federal revenuer. I was surprised security was so kind. They will need to put up a fence if they don't want customers being filmed coming and going.

    When a person says they will have to get the "authorities" involved, they have admitted that they do not have authority over you. They must call the "authorities" that they are subject to. It's wonderful to live in a place of freedom, where no one has authority over you if your actions are lawful. The more people that start living in the place of freedom they were created for, the better this life on Earth will be. The true purpose of government is to insure that we live in peace with one another as best as possible.

    when armed private security comes out onto a sidewalk, its dangerous, they clearly don't understand where their authority is... I also did not see a photo ID on his exterior, which most states mandate private security display on all but raingear, and at the minimum should identify upon request their name and company they work for as a requirement of their state license... I wish more people looked into their state laws on private security, and start filing complaints with the licensing agency to revoke their status, make them unemployable and lose their state license if they want to play cop or threaten to call them...

      @@rogerdehaven5603 do you know the history of Marijuana? Not only is it not addictive, it has medicinal qualities. The only reason it was outlawed is because hemp can be used for paper, clothing, etc and the forestry barons did not want to lose money. Funny how alcohol is legal and it contributes to hundreds of thousands of deaths every year. Nothing personal, just trying to educate. 👍

    That's one of the nicer looking dispensaries. They made some effort to theme it which isn't that common. I kind of get why they are a little paranoid with the amounts of cash they deal with.

    I find it hard to believe that someone that fought for their cause for years ( legalization of pot), would call the cops on you for expressing 1st amendment. The same law that give them the right to have cameras pointed at sidewalk. Smdh.

    The ladies asked polite. The fact that you have a right to film does not mean you have to. In the first part of this video the photographer just acted like a spoiled bully: "It is my right so I don't care about your feelings". Security guards and LEO's are fair game (photography wise ofcourse).

      Those magic little words.. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.. Just another way of saying yes it's legal for you to preform your actions yet i don't like it so you must stop.. You should do everything you are by law legally allowed to do.. They will try to find a way to stop you from doing anything you are legally allowed to because THEY don't like it.. If you don't use your rights.. They will take your rights because they don't like your actions..

      @@FirstAmendmentRights If you have 1 million dollars on your account, yes! Otherwise the bank probably will politely, at first, decline your request. But this is not the same as filming in public. In my country you have the right to film in public, but that doesn't give you automatically the right to publish. People have a right to object to publication. You could have simply not include those ladies in your video, because they clearly did not want to end up on RUclips or any other platform. You could have still make your point about public photography with the security guard and, if they had shown up, the police.

    I give credit to both sides. The audit went super smooth. Once the dispensary made the call to sapd, they were educated and offered an olive branch at the end. (Bottle of water)

    this happens all the time. watch any auditors videos and the business owners never seem to realize that the sidewalk is public and not their private property
    also i give the auditor here props for having the law on public photography printed as a hand out for the uninformed...

    All in all, they handled it pretty well. Everyone was fairly polite, and once they checked the law they didn't give you any more trouble or do anything stupid. Good job Tropicana! If only everyone was that cool about getting educated. You also have to give her props for offering the bottle of water, she didn't have to do that.

    I've NEVER once felt the need to demand what someone is doing in public however if I owned a business or worked at a business and i saw someone outside with a camera I would take that as an opportunity to promote my business in the best light possible. You never know how many 100's of 1000's of people will see the video. Free promotion is the best 😁

In fact, citizens will call it "rude and/ordisrespectful" - the Criminals Operating in Plain Sights (C.O.P.S) refer to this as "noncompliance, causing a problem, disobeying a PO and also call it disrespectful". Where TF and How TF have people been raised or spoiled to the point where "ASKING NICELY" grants a presumed "YES" reply. Realistically, that's not a questing in THEIR INFLATED MINDS and EGOS, in their thwarted and obscured sense of entitlement in THEIR perception of "REALITY", the QUESTION was actually a COMMAND.

      BTW, piggybacking off of the last portion of the audit you were making comments about their change of hearts - so, because you conducted yourself impressively well, I bet when they called the police and were educated like you mentioned, I can ALMOST GUARANTEE YOU 💯 that the employees gears started turning in their brains and they began thinking 🤔 "well, he never said he was here for anything bad or nefarious... it is 4/20 Nd we want to bring in customers and have a POSITIVE perception to the public... why did I (the lady) assume he was doing something bad?! ... afterall, we did have dialogue and he wasn't rude or disrespectful... what if the way I conducted myself today gains traction in the public and the potential customers start to associate the business with a negative stigma?! I mean, I don't know who he is and what if he has a large following..."
      Bet that's why she came, offered water and the security guard was probably talking to the staff too and heard their concerns so he ALSO wanted to make sure he didn't shed any negativity on the business

    I saw one video of this where the auditor said "As you know marijuana is federally illegal, Im documenting this facility for a public report to make regarding the federally illegal activities that are occurring here".
    They freaked out and were panicking because they thought feds were about to raid them and shut down everything.
