- We were in Fullerton documenting outside First Christian Church just off Harbor Blvd, in the heart of the downtown area. Soon after we were there, members from the congregations began arriving for a service at 10am, along with another morning service at 1115am
We had a lengthy interaction with the pastor from the church, expressing concern over our documenting & mentioning a tragic shooting that took place at a LGBT nightclub in Colorado Springs . At the time when this footage was captured, we were unaware of the events that unfolded from the night before that was covered by news agencies.
Soon after that , another woman placed a call to Fullerton police dispatch because of our presence on the sidewalk. Kudos to the officer who arrived on scene in his interaction with us.

Its hard for me to believe how people think its ok to walk up to other people and question a complete stranger about what they are doing. When did it become acceptable to expect strangers to divulge what they are doing to appease their curiosity?
It is the same as an aggressive person walking up to someone and questioning why they are going to a church and why they have a bible. Stay classy san diego

Two faced people are definitely not a rare commodity.
Because the smile is a disguise, these people are insane. I mean all of them are adults that believe in an imaginary friend. There is no logic that can reach them unfortunately.
"Bitter distain" is a bit over the top. One woman did call police but other than that there was not much hostility. Some frustration, they did not want the attention but nobody was exceptionally rude or hostile.
The clear distinction between people who live in fear and those who live in love, kindness, joy and compassion. We shape our own realities folks.
If anything, it's obvious that the church menbers have had little experience of hard knocks in life. They are the type of people who call on others to do their dirty work.
It amazes me how some people have the mentality of comparing people with cameras to tragic incidents😞
What’s most bizarre to me is that they are acting like First Amendment Rights is a threat to the LGBTQ+ community when she is a nice, respectful transgender woman filming peacefully.

The general public is misinformed, not just the church goers
I used to love the Universalist Unitarian Church, but then they showed their true colors... the opposite of the inclusive, loving, tolerant folks they claim to be. It is sad to see so many churchgoers acting demanding and hostile.
If you thought somebody was about to start shooting you, would you walk up to them and start asking questions, and agitating them?

It's quite interesting insight that everyday violence anywhere for different reasons is always somehow justified reason to intrude on peoples Rights.

*When there's such angst against someone recording from a public sidewalk from so many people at one establishment one must ask; "WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?". A consistent reaction like that from so many people simply implies they're hiding something they don't want exposed.*
Boy , they don't like when you don't answer all there questions satisfactory. That one girls face came up smiling , then when you didn't answer her questions, she went from smile to looking like she smelled something horrible .
When you want to meet a bunch of crazy people, just stand in front of a church and they will come .......

I must have missed them returning the God bless you and happy Sunday greetings that you shared with them!! I attend a very small no. Denominational church and you can rest assured that if you said God Bless you to any of our members, You would get the same type of greeting, God Bless would definitely be in part of the return greeting!!

I'm guessing you are a regular at whatever church you choose to attend.
The same right that let you choose that church is the same right that lets him record.
That's one of the things that disgusts me with religion in general. Zero understanding that free religion, speech and press are all neighboring grapes in the same bunch.
If you can't speak about your beliefs, to as many people as possible, you aren't free in your religion.

Of course, all of you guys have different focuses, but it's great to know that there are true patriots out there doing this work. There are plenty of guys out there that do the in-your-face, rude kind of audits, which I suppose have there place, but I prefer your style. Thanks for what you do!
Great list of auditors, as this one is too. I would add "Honor your oath" to that list as well as "Bay Area Transport" All those mentioned know how to handle themselves as true professional auditors.

Interesting people! Also something you can tell people as Cameras has also help stop crime and saved peoples lives. It has also help the police catch suspets. Love your audits. Keep up the good work.
I genuinely have no problems with people being curious... We're all human and have a natural curiosity about things that are out of the ordinary... But when curious people start to act like interrogators... That's when it starts to cross the line between being curious... And having them act like they're performing an interrogation... Some of the Church regulars definitely knew what you were doing... As seen by the one individual who knew that playing copyrighted music would result in a possible RUclips copyright strike... But not only can you mute the music... But there are computer software program's available that can remove or overwrite any copyrighted music... I've actually seen other auditors using this software in their videos too... And although the officer did well here... He failed to deal with the illegally parked vehicle that had been there for over an hour... Usually if cops suspect that a vehicle was the property of an auditor... They'll ticket and tow that vehicle immediately... But because it probably belonged to a member of the Church... He decided to turn a blind eye... I agree that it wasn't exactly the crime of the century... But it would have been... Had the vehicle in question been yours... Keep up the good work FAR... Stay safe out there guys. 👍
Hello, Greetings from Colorado. I have watched a lot of your videos of Churches, it really is sad that so many members feel that you are doing something wrong, what the heck has happened to us. They all need to have a look into there own hearts.
Woman comes out with a big black robe and weird green cape with strange red markings and has the audacity to question what you are doing. Strange how they twist and turn everything to match their narrative and justify their fears.

Of course since humans are emotional by nature, logic doesn’t naturally apply to human behavior. But it is still fascinating to see these folks approach the photographers and try flawed logic to make the photographers stop. Further, they are clearly baffled when their flawed arguments are turned against them.
The interesting question from these videos is why so many have a negative emotional response to being photographed in these settings.
At my parents wedding about 7 decades ago, someone recorded guests walking from the church to the reception and my grandmother gestured to the photographer to stop. Yet in these decades since, that footage has become very sentimental because it is the only video of my grandmother.
Frequently prospective is required to draw a sound conclusion about photography.
You’re just like Long Island Audit and Bay Area Transparency. Professional and informative and firm. Defending our freedom. As a Christian myself, I find it rather intriguing as to why these church goers, especially a progressive church, don’t understand the 1st Amendment right to record in public areas. You deliver the message so well. Definitely not like those in your face and agitate kind of auditors who make the community look bad.

When I was a kid it was frowned upon to wear street clothes to church. I mentioned this during another auditor's 1A audit of a church. Someone decided to be a smart ass and say "well they say come as you are". True but coming to church in stripper heels is pretty tacky in my opinion

I just don't get it. If I was walking into church and walked past. I would ask if I'm messing with their shot. Then when you said your just recording anything you can see. I would break out into song. When else would I get the ability to perform on camera?

That wasn't very "Christian" or "inclusive" of the first congregant who confronted you, as he went immediately to attack mode. As for the minister who came out next, she seemed slow on the uptake, and she was trying to establish some similarity between you recording on a public sidewalk and a mass murderer. You handled the Crock Pot lady excellently! This "progressive" church does not impress me at all. They are not only uncomfortable people, they are UN-friendly. The folks from the church next door didn't behave any better. I don't know which place of worship was responsible for calling the police on you (an innocent party), but the officer who arrived was uninterested in your report of an actual parking violation.

Watch at the 14:10 time mark. I can read lips and the woman on the phone has called the cops and saying, "(Hello 911. Get her fast. Two people with cameras filmed church members without our permission. They won't tell us what they are doing. I'm scared. My friends are ae scared. Get here fast. This is the worst calamity I have ever encountered and I'm almost a grandmother and these people are scaring me. Yes, a camera. Oh, the humanity of it all Help!"
There have been a few places that you have been to that would be a joy to visit. Then, there are places like this that I would not choose to go at all. Pretty sad that it is a church that does not appear to be friendly at all. What an unwelcoming place of worship.
