- This house of worship audit takes place outside this Presbyterian church from the public sidewalk . I arrived about an hour before the 10am service began. There were already a few people on property setting up some equipment for outdoor viewing of the livestream bein broadcast on RUclips. I had a couple interactions from two different women. The first one was getting out of her car, curious about what I was recording & why. Being selective on information I give out, I let her know that I was capturing images & video due the the fact that it was a nice morning. She did invite me to join them for worship & I then asked if I could come inside to take some photos of the stained glass inside before worship began. She informed me that Id need permission from the pastor . She went on her way inside & eventually retuned to tell me that I could make an appointment with the pastor to comeback another time to document inside. I was content with remaining where I was on the sidewalk & decided to not make an appointment. A short time later a woman who was walking her dog on property, came to question me, asking me to leave & threatened to call police because she claimed that I couldn't record people going into church & that it was invading their privacy. After she got off the phone, she retreated back to her car in the parking lot, loaded her dog in the back and drove away , not before giving a cam back as she was driving past me. I waited for about 20 minutes after she called, however no law enforcement arrived on scene while I was there. My guess is that if she called police, they most likely educated her over the phone & she was possibly upset that she didn't get the answers she wanted to hear.

I suspect that the dog walker was upset because the dispatcher didn’t share her alarm at the hazard posed by public photography.

I just love when you say "God bless you" too all the people that come out of a church.
Very rarely do they say it back. It just shows the distaste they have in there souls for people that do not submit to the authority they feel you should.
And they spend millions of dollars on a church building and infrastructure. They are more interested in their display of "authority" than they are with lost souls.

@@choch2727 They DO spread the word outside the church with (at least) a hundred thousand dollar professional audio and widescreen video presentation each Sunday. I presume that their god prefers a more outdoor presentation than a stuffy indoor experience with commoners.

Any time someone says "can I help you?", you can bet your life they are not actually offering help. Why are these church people always so disingenuous?

Churches our the perfect place to do a story on our 1st amendment rights. What better place than a group of people who profess to love humanity and have nothing nefarious to hide. Not to mention both freedom of speech and religion are protected under the 1st amendment!!!!!

After all that, Karen has a blue line flag on her car. Just in case people don't know the history of the blue line flag:
It was created in 2014 after a series of police brutality cases. The flag was developed and used as a sign of support for the police in these and other cases where police officers were tried for excessive force. One of those cases was that of Tamir Rice. Tamir was 12 years old. He was playing outside with a plastic gun. Tamir was 5'7" at age 12, a tall boy. An individual called 911 and informed them of Tamir, saying they thought he was a juvenile and they thought he had a toy gun. The dispatcher left out both "juvenile" and "toy gun" to the officers. The police officer shot and killed Tamir within seconds of arrival. Video showed that the car hadn't even stopped rolling when the shots were fired.

One of the things that I've noticed from doing church audits myself, as well as watching other auditor's audits of churches, is that the people at these places seem to assume that because you're filming you must have an issue with their church. It's like, if I was not not filming and instead was looking at the church with binoculars, would they have an issue then?
Either way, regardless of whatever the issue is, or lack thereof, one fact remains the same. First Amendment Rights YOU are the top auditor in Southern California. Hopefully, we can all get together before I head off to the Mile-High City. That and drink some Margaritas 🍹. Alrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight!
They subconsciously know what they're doing is ridiculous. They're like 10 year olds who have an inkling that Santa isn't real but they still want to believe and not admit they were duped.

You can tell a lot more about church people by what they do in practice than what they assent to intellectually. For example, almost every church person/pastor will tell you that doctrinally they believe that salvation is not based on church attendance, but when you decline their invitation to join them for a "worship service" they immediately treat you like a heathen. A church building is a statement; it states boldly, "Come here to receive salvation and submit to our authority over your soul!" This is why they spend millions of dollars on buildings and infrastructure.

Our church would let them take pictures inside during the service. Many people do. We stream all of our services.
If you live in America you should at least know the "Bill of Rights".

I love when you do these church audits . As you said, there’s no bias either way in how you handle those audits BUT it just goes to show how hypocritical church goers can be. It even says it in their book to basically love one another and turn the other cheek and basically be kind to each other. To me that only seems to work in their favour when it suits them and not everyone else. You keep making your videos and we’ll keep watching, can’t wait for the next one ❤❤
Like I mentioned a few times before the only Church I go to is Church's Chicken to order that special a thigh,two legs, french fries,mashed potatos and a drink,sometimes I dare to order those spicy chicken sammiches they offer...

When the photographer shows the law and the woman calls police she is making a false complaint which should be prosecuted. Ignorance of the law isn't an excuse and examples will be the only deterrent

I'd like to see you tell the polite people why you're recording. That you're testing them to see if they respect your right to engage in a Constitutionally protected activity and to educate them about the law. That would satisfy the curious but you could still have some fun with those who get hostile.
If I do tell someone it's gonna be after I've concluded the audit , not during ☺👍
