Every day Greg Miller, Colin Moriarty, and Tim Gettys talk about the biggest stories in Video Games.

Colin is literally wrong about the PS2 being the worst Playstation console.
its OBJECTIVELY better than the PS1... it plays both PS2 AND PS1 games. its plays DVDs AND CDs.
It literally does everything the PS1 does and more.
Code: Marla he's talking about ps1 vs ps2 games
xXCeraiceXx Then he should say that the PS2 has the worst library. Not that its the worst console as that just isnt the case.
If a kid who wasnt gaming then had the option of buying a PS1 or a PS2 today then the PS2 is the obvious choice.
you know what, thats a fair point.
Another person that doesnt know what "opinion" means. I agree PS2 is the better generation but each to their own.
Neil Evans I completely understand what "opinion" means. if he had said the PS1 is bettee than the PS4 then that would be a fair opinion, but he is objectively wrong about the PS2 being better, as it does everything the PS1 does and more with no draw backs (as far as im aware).
its like saying that £5 is better than £10.
Colin is affected by Nostalgia more than Bruce Wayne is affected by his parents death
Twilight Princess is better than Wind Waker. Come at me.
to be truthful I don't think people care anymore, but for me i enjoyed wind waker more than i enjoyed twilight princess just lil bit more.
Jacob Irvine I think TP and WW are about tied but yeah I'd agree that TP edges out WW by just a little, both great games.
Twilight Princess is the best!
No way! THIS IS SACRILEGE!
Why do we always have to pick one over the other. They are both 10/10 in my book. Love em to death.
Bloodborne is PS4's best exclusive by a mile.
Turdsley Dude yes
Turdsley It's not even close in my book either, and I love The Uncharted series also. But Bloodborne is on another level.
Maybe its not that unpopular of an opinion.
Maybe not on this channel but I would say a lot of people out there would agree including myself
Wait, this is a controversial opinion? I thought this is widely agreed upon. (disclaimer: huge Souls fan here)
Here is one... Nintendo has never had a good controller. Ever. The Gamecube controller is an absolute travesty of design... Colin was wrong.
SiLenT366 Lol now that I think about it I agree
What's wrong with snes/nes?
SiLenT366 lol, I would say PlayStation has never had a good controller
SiLenT366 snes and nes controller was revolutionary and game cube's was the best of that gen by a mile.
Mason I prefer offset thumbsticks than PlayStations controllers but the DS4 feels awesome
DOOM's multiplayer is actually really good. Why is getting hate for getting free content? For attempting to make the multiplayer incredibly fun.
"Jet fuel can't melt steel beams" killed me. lol
Everything Greg said was incredibly stupid.
"controversial"
"That doesn't mean you get to just say anything you want to me..."
"It sure as heck does!"
Peace Walker IS THE BEST MGS Game. I totally agree with him. And MGS3 is ultra overrated.
I love MGS3 because it hold up very well... well the updated HD version is very well. I do agree though that Peace Walker is the best though.
Colin is on a tear recently about how, basically, you shouldn't waste your time playing games. Don't bother beating them, don't bother with trophies. "I just don't care!" Seems to be a pretty drastic 180 from the Colin that started at Kinda Funny. Anyone agree there?
Here's a few of my unpopular opinions.
Super Mario Sunshine is the best Mario game ever
I love Resident Evil 5. (Also love RE1, RE4, RE7)
I think Bioshock Infinite is better than Bioshock 1 and 2
I think Fallout 3 is extremely overrated
I love Star Fox Adventures (Should note that I haven't played it since 2002-2003 lol)
Watch Dogs 1 is better than Watch Dogs 2
Half Life was amazing for it's time. But that's it.
Totally agree with you on RE5, thought it was a solid one! Gets a tonne of hate!
Preach that Bioshock Infinite. The story and characters were far better in Infinite and I felt more immersed in the world's atmosphere. Burial at Sea then fleshed it out and it just completely sold me.
RE5 is one of the best coop games ever made IMO. I also agree with Bioshock infinite being better
100% Agree with Mario, Bioshock, and Fallout 3
Yea resident evil 5 hate is a little much and fallout 3 as good as it is doesn't hold up as much as you'd think, watch dogs better than watch dogs 2 sounds crazy to me though imo
Colin is just wrong by saying games back in the day were better than today. It's just wrong. All he remembers are the hits. But there were so many awful titles on NES, it's ridiculous. Just watch some Angry Video Game Nerd episodes and you'll see. Today, we get like three real bad games a year max, all the other games coming out are either okay, good or freaking great.
RedVIII completely agree. Superman 64 happened!!! Lol
Saying the phrase, "I wanna like it", is just a way of saying you went into something with high hopes, and you got let down. That's it. It's a nice way of saying you didn't like something, without shitting all over it.
Starts at 1:00
The Last of Us is an extremely average game.
odd way to spell mario
+Japan has the best games Mario is the most famous pioneer of video games... You couldn't be more wrong about that.
ed1rko17 The Last of Us also had an extremely average story. The acting and characters are the only reason people think the story is "amazing."
Brandnew No they aren't the only reason people think it's great. You shouldn't state that like a fact.
Oh you did not just go there!
Agree with Colin on not owing it to anyone to finish a game - I got to the final boss in FFXIII and gave up playing it - I wasn't invested and I feel no guilt in not finishing it.
The complaints of FFXV in chapter 13 are over blown in my opinion. It's definitely bad level design, but if you let that affect the rest of the game, you're missing out on a good addition to the franchise. Colin, I think you'll enjoy it, it's nostalgic, and my favourite FF since IX.
Agree with Tim - MGS4 is the best in the series.
Agree with Greg - jet fuel can't melt steel beams.
Colin would hate 15 at a certain point. Its more than whatever the hell Chapter 13 was.
TheBleachj16 maybe he would, it's a perfect example of a game that went through development hell with a lot of missed opportunities in terms of lore building.
I'm really enjoying it though, mainly for the world it's set in, and the fact you can cruise (or fly) around with with the old soundtracks.
One thing Colin would definitely love is the story behind the making of the game.
That jet fuel joke by Greg made my day :)
90's Disney console games are so underrated. I almost never hear anyone in the games media bring them up. Toy Story, The Lion King and Aladdin were classic Genesis games imo. I guess being a 90's baby, I was the core demographic for those games.
JP Kyza 💯 agree
Here's my Controversial Gaming Opinions:
1: The Uncharted series is vastly overrated (UC1 boring, Uc2 8.0 great, Uc3 8.5 great, Uc4 9.0 amazing)
2: Xbox One has a better catalog of games that speaks to me more than PS4 but Ps4 has an awesome lineup too.
3: Halo 5's Story: Not as bad as people say it is, it went downhill a little when Master Chief went to Genesis [IMO he went there to early]
4: The Evil Within & Alien Isolation : Not all that good (BUT) great scares.
5: The Last of Us: amazing but gameplay isn't all that impressive.
6: Mass Effect 3: Awesome game, the ending was good.
7: The COD franchise is great.
8: RE6 Leon's campaign better than most RE games.
Here's some extra that probably aren't Controversial: People are being way to hard on Xbox and Nintendo, on most videos on ps4 games or reviews on websites. Most of the time its people talking about how much worse Xbox is than ps4 and not talking about the game itself, even though i'm not a big Nintendo fan I've seen the same thing about them too, its quite tiring (IMO) seeing all that crap.
I would add Naughty dog and Tlou with your #1
i agree with 3 & 4 as well.
I agree with ur first 2.
Baytuh to me halo was never a great series, just generic multiplayer shooters. Yeah uncharted is a little overrated, but xbox's games list is just awful to me right now. They need good new IPs that they actually expand on.
Baytuh bruh how can you say Xbox has a better catalog... I could agree maybe in 2013. But today? U wilding
For my tastes Xbox one has a better lineup of games coming.
"Jet fuel can't melt steel beams." LOL. Not laughing out of disbelief, just laughing at how off guard that caught me hahaha. Ohhhhh Greg, good shit!
Its crazy how people complain that they want a proper WW2 shooter but don't actually *REALLY* want it. They want to hate just to hate. Case in point we have games like Sniper Elite, games in Kickstarter that's taking place in WW2 is getting hate for not looking like COD, etc. People make up your mind!!!
Yea people don't know what they want especially when it comes to games, like next thing you know they're going to say every game needs be fast like doom then that we'll get tired of that and a strategy game will come out and that will be the new trend
Brent Bradford Exactly
Eric Nick I know when I say I want a ww2 shooter, I talk about a game like Battlefield where I can storm the beaches with their frostbite engine. Battlefield 1 definitely scratched the itch for me on that.
I like how each day's Gamecast is slowly shaving off more and more of the intro theme before jumping into the discussion
For me, Last Guardian was 90% smile on my face 8% figuring out what to do, 2% frustration. Reminded me of raising my puppy so maybe I "got it" more than others.
I honestly think PS3 was the best Playstation console too since to this day it is still the ultimate "Playstation hub" to having the most access to all the Playstation gens that came before it. You have your PS3 games, there were many quality PS2 IPs that were remastered, and basically all of PS1 is natively backwards compatible on the console. Add a PS4 on top of that, you only need those two consoles to have access to the most of Playstation's history. Not to mention, PS3 was the home to many of my favorite games and especially exclusives and was the console I started broadening my horizons to play a lot more games.
I can only think of 2 for me.
1. I hate Overwatch, I didn't have fun with it at all.
2. MGS4 is my favorite
Colin was RIGHT..Mario Sunshine is the best dude. My first Gamecube game.
"I want to like it" is like saying; "I want a have a good day", knowing that there could be an issue with the situation.
Here's one: DriveClub is the best racing game this decade
Plywood Pasta I think Driveclub is one of the best for sure, but in pure fun factor, Forza Horizon has it beat.
My controversial thought:
The games that have shaped gaming culture in the past 10 years have been...PC games.
Our TV shows made fun of World of Warcraft, our sisters loved The Sims, and our kids played Minecraft.
From pewdipie to esports, from RUclips horror games to Hearthstone, from indies on Steam to Overwatch and survival games like Dayz.
We don't want to hear it, but those were the iconic games, they were the Marios and Pokemons, the Metal Gears and the Halos of this decade.
colin cracks me up "i wana have a bad day, I hope this meal sucks "
COD : AW, BLACK OPS 3, INFINITE WARFARE, MW remastered have some of the best campaigns in all video games in this generation
I love that Colin says that you don't need to play a whole video game in order to understand it, but the amount of times he ridicules people by saying "90% of people who talk shit about Ian Rand never even finished the book!"
glad to see the podcast hasn't changed at all. 3 guys each having a monologue. there is never any discussion.
Unpopular Gaming Opinion:
Everything you like sucks.
Everything I like is the greatest.
Here's mine:
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is the best 2D platformer ever made.
"Jet fuel can't melt steel beams." I nearly spit out my tea lol! Well done Greg!
Missed opportunity when the guy didn't refer to them, collectively, as Grimlin.
Colin, you should check out the album Freak Out by Frank Zappa. It's what influenced The Beatles to make Sgt. Peppers. Zappa is the most underrated musician/composer/producer/conductor of all time.
Alan Garcia Don't eat the yellow snow RIP FZ
Badger Moring We didn't have no LSD back in Joe's Garage
Solid segment with some solid discussions, fellas!
Good point Greg had about the fact that most people pay for games and expect more than 15 minutes out of it. And this is why I love you guys because Colin immediately says, good point. Keep up the great work guys.
PS3 is all the more impressive if you consider it's messy launch and how far they modified the hardware and software to make the PS3 what it was on year two!
I agree with Colin. PS3 is my favourite game library ever.
final fantasy xv has one of the best endings in games
Colin the reason you say you "want to like" something is because people tend to try to write you off or dismiss you offhand by calling you a "hater" or a "contrarian" or some shit. You say that to try to preemptively stem the tide of whiny fanboys attacking you because you don't mindlessly love everything that's put in front of your face. A lot of people feel like they have to add that disclaimer then they criticize Nintendo.
I've gotten every achievement in Army of two the devils cartel and the 2010 medal of honor game. I enjoyed those games fully and occasionally go back and play them.
I'm with you on the Gamecube Colin. I got my first job when Gamecube was out and bought almost every title I could get my hands on. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System and I-Ninja come to mind when I think of some of the obscure 3rd party games that I enjoyed that nobody seems to remember. Viewtiful Joe was amazing and stylistic and inspired me to write my first review on Gamefaqs. Skies of Arcadia: Legends and Tales of Symphonia birthed my obsession with JRPGs. Killer 7 was introduction to Suda 51's insanity and I've played almost all of his games since (playing Let it Die now). Prince of Persia was a damn masterpiece in platforming. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, regardless of popular opinion, made me love Sonic again and I spent way too much time in the Chao Garden. Ikaruga kicked my ass and reminded me of the tough games of the past. Throw in all the great 1st party titles like Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime, SSB Melee, F-Zero GX, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario TTYD, Pikmin 1 &2, and so many more and you've got a damn fine console.
I like how they end the intro abruptly now.
The cutscenes in Metal Gear 1, 2, and 4 are so numerous and lengthy that going by the percentage of content in the average playthrough, those entries in the Metal Gear franchise should be listed as Anime and not videogames.
Skyward Sword is a good game
So much good idea in the back half. I hope BotW is as innovative without being as linear.
@@gogglebrains so, was it?
Mario Galaxy 1, 2 and Mario World 10/10.
Here are some of mine:
-FPS games shouldn't feel more like COD, they should feel like Unreal Tournament.
-Platinum Games can truly be one of the best developers, when they actually try.
-Sleeping Dogs is better than GTA and Saints Row.
-MDK needs and deserves a sequel!
TIL: colin is the definitive gaming hipster.
I'm glad they remember they get games for free. It really does affect critics when they don't pay for games.
If there's one thing I'd defend, it's Skyward Sword.
Yes the beginning is slow.
Yes motion controls aren't always perfect.
But after that game has the best combination of boss fights and dungeons, along with plenty of things to do and upgrade. The story sequences are fantastic and it actually has really cool characters, with Zelda, Groose, Impa, Ghiraham, etc.
If you haven't played it, go try it and forgive the first few hours for being slow.
That's also how I feel about Twilight Princess, too, since it has the best dungeons and fantastic boss fights. That opening takes forever though lol.
Since we're doing this, I'll add some:
1. Tomb Raider 1-3 have aged like fine wine.
2. Shadow of the Colossus has too many fundamental flaws to be considered a timeless classic.
3. The Last of Us actually has great gameplay. Harder difficulties especially change it significantly, and for the better. As a whole, TLoU is so much better than Uncharted that I can hardly believe it was made by the same company.
4. Uncharted 2 becomes a drag to play by the second half, and the writing in the whole game is abysmal.
5. Deadly Premonition is one of the best games of all time.
6. Half-Life 1 is better than Half-Life 2 by a pretty large margin.
Dude in the middle has such a myopic view of games in 1994. PC gaming and arcades were awesome around then.
Controversial preferences in the Fallout 4 / Witcher 3 debate:
-I don't enjoy the Witcher 3 at all*. I don't find the combat or RPG mechanics very fun or compelling, I couldn't care substantially less about the protagonist, and the side-stories are well-told but not enough to justify the time investment. (*Edit: I love the boats.)
-Fallout 4 is my favorite game to come out since 2011 by a significant margin, some of the most fun I've ever had in a game. I love the shooting and movement; the freedom to customize your weapons, armor, home base, and particularly your character build to a huge degree from the very beginning of the game; how the themes of hope and restoration expressed in the main storyline and soundtrack are reinforced by building and networking new settlements, reorganizing the Minutemen, and bringing some semblance of hope and order back to the world in a much realer way than you ever experienced in FO3 or New Vegas; and how the characters are much better fleshed out than in previous Bethesda FO/ES games (not saying too much, I know).
Overall I'd say Fallout 4 is at least as good as all other Bethesda games since Morrowind, and for me completely blew the Witcher 3 out of the water.
Might as well add a few:
1) The plot of Metal Gear Solid and Kingdom Hearts series makes sense.
3) Zelda lore is uninteresting. I understand liking the games, but not the die-hard fandom.
3) The Last of Us deserves all its praise and its multiplayer is underrated.
Colin is nuts lol PS2 is arguably the greatest console of all time. But at the same time I understand his logic that it can't get better after a masterpiece is created like Super Mario World or Link to the past. Greg MGS3 was incredible I don't get how you can say that it's boring..the boss battles the camouflage survival aspect hunting for food...i was absolutely blown away my first time playing it
...I thought the beginning of Wolfenstein TNO was pretty great? Scaling the walls of a giant Nazi castle and blasting through its hallways? It was exactly what I wanted from a Wolfenstein game.
"ME3 had a great ending and the PS2 is worse than the PSP?" Ouch
I agree with Colin about the stigma that people have to prove that they are a real gamer by forcing themselves to play games they don't like. It's cool to stop playing when you're bored.
thank you tim , mgs4 is the best mgs game period .
absolutely
Metal Gear Solid 3 is easily the best in the series.
ivan gonzalez I think so also.
It's absolutely totally derivative off of James Bond. Peace Walker is superior in every way.
ivan gonzalez Agreed, the hunting, steath system, soundtrack, setting etc was great.
thats not really controversial i think a lot of people really like mgs3
I guess I'll never understand the love for Peace Walker. I hated grinding through the mech battles.
Though it doesn't bother me, I felt it was worth mentioning that Greg always says 'da da, da da, da da' as opposed to 'etc'. :P
Skyward Sword is probably my 3rd favorite Zelda games, but most people seem to not care for it.
MGS4 is my favorite game of all time.
What did people hate about he beginning of Wolfenstein? I know it gets SO much better when the narrative kicks in but I thought the intro was over the top action and a lot of fun!
9:22 is the shit I stay subscribed for
Greg is the fucking best. Fuck the haters.
RicoSeattle what haters really though? he has hundreds of thousands of fans , I don't think any "hater" population can stifle that
JD Marshall HATERS= The people that have different opinions then them
My main unpopular gaming opinion is that I am a big fan of sports games and usually buy them annually. I do understand that to some the iterations yearly from theses game are considered minor tweaks or roster updates. But there are hardcore fans such as I who appreciate them. Yearly I wait in anticipation to see new modes, feature and if they modified specifics players characteristics. I feel sports games are underappreciated in this industry.
don't trip Colin, Super Mario Sunshine is literally my favorite Mario of all time and it clearly is the best 3D Mario
I personally hated my Gamecube. Especially when I had my PS2 right next to it.
What Greg needs to realize is one bad part/chapter/gameplay mechanic/etc. can ruin a game for many people. Even if the rest of the game is great. One fly in my soup can ruin a whole bowl of really good soup. And often times the so called 'loudest critical opinions' come from a place of frustration from people who want to love the game but can't because of certain specific things about it. I loved Mass Effect 3, but that ending...that definitely soured the experience.
Persona 2 Eternal punishment is the best entry in the series. :P
Not gonna lie, I agree with greg on MGS3 and peace walker. I recently went back and played both of them and I fell back in love with peace walker and remembered exactly why I stopped playing MGS3.
Now if I was gonna say which shooter I think is best I'd have to say SOCOM 2 and 1, in that order. The amount of mechanics that SOCOM introduced to the shooter genre that other games adopted from it that are still around is huge. IMO SOCOM 2 and 1 are the most influential shooters ever released.
skyward sword is the most underrated zelda and criminally shit on for no reason except "i dont like motion controls"
I had no idea Twilight Princess wasn't popular? :O normally when I see ranked lists it's in the second or third spot for best Zelda game (excluding the 2D ones), plus Midna is really popular.... IMO a controversial Zelda opinion would be admitting Ocarina of Time is overrated, badly dated, and shouldn't be considered the best Zelda game ;) ....
TP is probably one of the best received..
It sucked but luckily fishing was mostly optional though.... besides the tutorial bit in the beginning and the reekfish part :/
OoT/MM still holds up pretty well imo for me, only issue is the piss-poor projectile aiming.
The second topic is a really important conversation.
Although i was disappointed with No Man Sky, i honestly don't see why the the Devs are receiving so much hate instead of actually critiquing them. They're even working on adding on content in the future. Why are we surprised that they escaped in to the quiet void.
By the way, Little Colin, kiddo, being critical and whiny does NOT make you special or above average, it only makes you whinier and critical... that's it.
Take care, my special snow flake colin xoxo
Colin you owe it to yourself to give Hyper Light Drifter another chance. It's right up your alley (gameplay, aesthetic, music, design). 15 minutes isn't enough time for it to sink its hooks in. Go back.
unpopular opinion: Starfox zero was exactly what I wanted it to be.
people who accuse others of going into a game wanting to hate it have to be in grade school. do any adults have time to do stuff that they don't like?
Get ready to eat crow Greg, boost mode will be a game changer.
Unpopular opinion time!
- Most of Nintendo's IP would be better off in other developers hands
- Zelda and Pokémon are super fuckin' boring
- Most open world games suck, especially ones developed by Ubisoft
- Single player gaming is better than multiplayer
Agreed about GCN over PS2.
Colin was speaking some real shit at the end there..
anyway some of my unpopular opinions
Assassins Creed 3 is the best in the series
The Halo series is overrated
The GTA 3 "universe" (3,VC,SA) has better characters than the HD GTA universe (IV, V)
Inside is the best indie game of all time (maybe this one isn't unpopular)
Shenmue still holds up today as one of the GOATS
As a whole, I haven't been impressed with Nintendo IPs since the 90s
Bulbasaur is the best Pokemon to start with in the original gameboy games
Battlefield has always had better multiplayer than COD.. although COD always has better solo campaigns
The Witcher 3 is overwhelmingly average.
And the last one, Far Cry Primal is a 10/10 gem. I absolutely LOVED that game.
JaySw34 Wow, interesting opinions. I feel ac3 is very boring. I'd like to know why you liked it. I payed for it so I got my money's worth but the majority of the missions seemed uninspired and the characters felt lifeless, there didn't seem like much in the world to discover either it just kind of existed. On the other hand Witcher 3 felt bursting with personality, intersting and diversed quests, memorable characters and a stunning lively world to explore, complimented by a great soundtrack and ambient noises.

Jay I have a soft spot for AC 3 because I'm from Boston, and I thought it was awesome to run around in a historic version of my hometown. I loved the combat, and I liked the pacing of the story. I love how you play as a boy who becomes a man in the midst of war. It also had some very memorable moments, such as running through Charlestown during the cannon barrage. That was awesome and will always stick with me. And I loved the vast frontier woodlands. Running around high in the trees while war waged on on the ground below. It's just a game that I look back on with fond memories. As far as Witcher 3 goes, it's not by any means a bad game, I agree that the game world bursts with personality, and the quest structure is ok.. But I wasn't really a fan of the story and where it really came up short in my opinion was the combat. I like fighting to feel fluid and brutal. The combat system just wasn't doing it for me... With all that being said I can still see why people like it so much. And it's not that I disliked it, I just found it to be an average RPG.
#3 is not unpopular and #6 is not an opinion.
President C4 You're right.. I edited #6 to better reflect my opinion
Playstation 1 is probably the best console ever. The birth of the 3d era was one of the most exciting times in gaming. The other era that I think was really exciting was home computers of the mid to late 80s. The 2 things these times have in common is that genres weren't calcified and an a game could be anything. Hopefully VR is another new era of gaming where genres can be redefined.
Super Mario Sunshine is not as good as Mario 64. Stupid imprecise backpack removed the most satisfying move in the game - the long jump.
My most unpopular gaming opinion is: MGS2 is my favourite in the series.
This is going get me in some trouble: I had more fun playing Final Fantasy 13 than Final Fantasy 6.
most people don't have the luxury to have enough games to just give up after an hour
My Controversial Opinion: people look at the older games way too fondly. Mario might've felt amazing but I don't think it compares to a game like Overwatch at all.
Most of these AAAs third party games are missing the most important thing which is fun, which is why most gamers complete those games only to show off they're "Gamers" through their trophies.
Overwatch isn't revolutionary and MOBA's are a trash genre when compared to other gaming genres.
1. Home Alone on Sega Genesis was ahead of its time.
2. Bioshock Infinite is the best Bioshock.
3. Shenmue was extremely innovative for its time, but it doesn't hold up today.
4. No Man's Sky should come to Xbox for $20.
5. Grand Theft Auto Vice City does not hold up AT ALL.
6. Final Fantasy Tactics is the best Final Fantasy
7. I agree with Greg. I can't get into Half Life 2.
8. Battlefront (2015) is a decent game.
9. I like Remasters. They don't hurt anything and come bundled with DLC. If anything, we need more of them (Jade Empire, please)
10. Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent game.
I just got Super Mario Sunshine and I started playing but I've run across a game Breaking glitch. Mario's FLUDD is full but it won't fire. He even does the animation to fire but no water comes out. Can anyone help me with this?
-Casual is the only enjoyable way to play real time strategy games
-Candy Crush is fun
-Sunshine is one of the best mario games and 3d world sucks complete balls
-Metroid Prime 2 >>> the first one
-Link to the Past wasn't that great compared to later 2d zelda games
-Majora's Mask didn't have much going for it aside from the story and it was too similar to ocarina of time
-Luigi's Mansion is one of the best games ever
-Donkey Kong 64 is terrible
-Overwatch looks ugly as hell aesthetically
-The trailer using a dubstep remix of seven nation army is a good reason to not buy battlefield 1
Unpopular opinions:
1.- Not ALL popular franchises need to be great (Assassin's Creed - CoD - Far Cry - etc) They are fun and very popular but mediocre, average. And it is ok. They don't need a Witcher 3 like Assassins creed or a Halo kind of CoD because then it stops being what it is and pretends to be something like Last of us or witcher 3 or whatever, and those games already exist. We don't need more of the best, we need more new things while we can still have the popular and beloved average stuff.
2.- The gaming community is one of the most toxic environments.
3.- I think Perfect Dark, Time Splitters, Fable, Age of Empires, Lemmings, Mercenaries and Dino Crisis should come back.
4.- Focusing too much on graphics and visual quality has maimed the writing and creative quality in most AAA games. (Either they invest time and resources on graphics and being top notch AAA 4k 1080p 60FPS or whatever or they come up with intelligent, beautiful stories, amazing characters and creative mechanics and features.
Finally someone said it! Peace Walker has been shit on by MGS fans for years. About time someone set the record straight. Oh, and I am totally not Likwid Snek.
When Colin talks about the first 30 mins of Wolfenstein sucking...what does he mean? Does he mean the first little segment with the turret section shooting all of those planes? Because that only lasts like 10 mins. Or is he talking about the entire first level, which lasts like an hour? I can't figure out when the game "gets good" in his mind, because there is no real break point at the half hour mark.
