I honestly use my PS4 for both exclusives and multiplats, but I can understand why someone would own just a PS4 for the exclusives. It's not too crazy.

My PS4 is both really, don't care about any xbox exclusives tbh.. maybe state of decay 2.

State of Decay 2 is multiplatform, it's Microsoft's ploy to make you believe that the game is in fact exclusive.
As far as the poll goes, If you've got a gaming PC - you've most likely got a PS4 purely for the great exclusives. (Same with a Nintendo console) but if you've got a good PC, there's absolutely no reason for an Xbox One.
Little did we know that this was going to be the final regular appearance of Greg and Colin disusing PlayStation. This prospect breaks my heart.
Gonna sorely miss you, Colin! The banter and chemistry with Greg, the Grolin combination, the deep PS knowledge, insight and dry humor and Roper's (singular possessive) Report. Been listening for years since the late Beyond days. Not gonna be the same :/

I own both consoles. I don't play games as much as I used to. I use the Xbox for RUclips and Netflix, and PS4 for the exclusives (since they have the best ones).
It used to be more or less equal, but the xbox exclusives (like Halo) haven't been the same. PlayStation has exclusives that are some of the best games ever made
Alex Love Nothing will ever match the Halo that Bungie created. I don't care what anybody days, 343i will never live up to Bungie's legacy.

The Last Trap God Yeah Halo 3 and Reach were the peak. And original was big for it's time. While I agree 5 was craaaap!!! 4 was ok.
Bungie made Halo: Reach, a game which at the time was very disregarded amongst most fans. 343i may have fucked up the Halo story-line but they are responsible for creating arguably the best multiplayer in the series.

I plan on picking up Nier and Nioh together someday in the future. Want to play them really bad, but there's just too much goodness right now and not enough money. 2017 has been a legendary year for gaming, AND WE'RE ONLY IN MARCH!!! When was the last time gaming was THIS strong? New Zelda, Horizon, Resident Evil 7, Halo Wars 2, Gravity Rush 2, Nioh, Nier, the list goes on and on. Just amazing. This may be this gen's best year yet! Definitely one of the strongest years in my overall gaming life. lol
This year may overtake 2004, 2008, and 2011.
The Masked Demon If you can swing it I'd really recommend NieR, the demo was incredible. I was stupid and put off preordering and now giving in to scalpers for the CE. Nioh is a unique game as well, but the narrative framework in Drakengard and NieR is unlike anything else.

Vader announced a little while ago that he only has two years to live, so he retired from wrestling as a result of a warning from a doctor. However, he got a second opinion from another doctor that was more optimistic. So yeah, not dead, just dying.
As a black man, my favorite #blacklivesmatter media was the show Luke Cage, which was a black superhero fighting other black people in a black part of New York (even directed by a black staff). Being black/African American was a big part of the message, it just normalizes the black experience without making you feel guilty for being white. I love it and tell all my friends who like superheroes to watch it, and we have had good talks about it.
I agree %100 with what you just said. Im a white guy from UK and i really like Luke Cage. I did not feel under represented because of the lack of white people. It just happens to be set in a realistically black populated area. I really hope all this bullshit gender, race equalisation ends before i have kids.

Watching this last week not knowing this would be the last P.S I Love you, and knowing now what's happening I'm really sad this amazing part of my PlayStation life will be no more...

Guys, I bring this up as somewhat of a long time fan. I've been with you since probably the middle point of your run in Podcast Beyond, and when you finished that I followed you both here.
So when I say that the show has grown a little stale, I say it with love. Sometimes I hear the episodes and I feel like you guys just aren't that into it anymore; that you are slogging along. The passion might be missing, I don't know.
I have no idea what are the logistics involved in having a new guest every week, but that was always an incredibly fun part in the old show, and it was interesting seeing different people bouncing between your dynamic.
So this is my suggestion, because I believe it might make the show more lively.

I used to play games only on PC. Then I bought a PS2 for God of War and ended up buying a bunch of other games for the PS2. I kept buying RTS and FPS games for PC, but I would buy games like Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia for PS2.
Then I bought a PS3 for the Uncharted games and God of War 3.
When backwards compatibility was announced, I bought an Xbox One to play the Gears of War games and the Halo games not available on PC. So there are a few games that you cannot play anywhere other than Xbox, those being Gears of War 2, 3 and Judgment and Halo 3-5 as well as ODST and Reach. You can only play Sunset Overdrive on Xbox as well. Play Anywhere wasn't even announced until a year after I bought my Xbox One.
The same month I bought the Xbox One I bought a PS4 waiting for Uncharted 4.
I basically stopped buying PC games, because I don't have an up to date PC anymore, although I will update one day and still use it for RTS and FPS games.
I never cared about Trophies on PS3. When I started playing Gears of War on Xbox One, I started to become interested in Achievements. That led me to interest in Trophies on PS4.
I decided I like the Trophy system better than the Achievement system and I know that games generally look and play better on the PS4 than the Xbox One....so I buy multi-platform games for Playstation 4 and save exclusives for Xbox One. With Play Anywhere, I might not even bother getting an Xbox Scorpio, I may just buy a new PC.
Then again, it's odd hearing people who constantly claim that playing console games is so much easier than playing PC games say "why would you buy and Xbox when you can just play the games on PC".
PS I'll never forget the amazing times I had watching this show, XOXO.

I used to be a 2 console gamer. However, xbone has no system sellers this gen at all and nothing on the horizon from what I see. I'm not a racing game fan (forza don't matter) and Halo/Gears isn't good enough for my $$$$ and time. Ps4 has it all IMO

XX Albie I think what you mean is that it doesn't have games that attract to your preference. There are a lot of games that I like to play on my Xbox that I don't have on my ps4.
hahahaha don't think so, not even close. A gaming PC with a GTX 1080ti and 4k monitor would be my 2nd machine. Unfortunately, I've always been a console guy and wouldn't have the $$$ or time for all that anyways. To be blunt about Nintendo, they are shit to me. I wouldn't pay 10cents for a switch lmao.

I play my ps4 for nioh and bloodborne and ofc jrpg's, especially persona man im so excited to play that one persona golden was awesome.

I haven't watched the whole episode, but I wanted to give you guys props for the convo about the Horizon issue. It is without a doubt an unnecessary issue. I hope Colin is able to get that lady on for Colin was right.
Colin, No Man's Sky did a trophy change as well where you used to get creature trophies for scanning up to 40 different creatures. They changed it too scan all creatures on 10 separate planets which made it incredibly frustrating. Fuck NMS

I mainly play 3rd party games on my PS4, but I do appreciate the great exclusives, that sticking with my go-to brand of consoles provided. I've actually never even touched an Xbox, nor will I do so, unless some life changing comes out.
I would also like to note, that I did not get my PS4 for an exclusive. I got it for the superior version of AC4 and I didn't even play any exclusives until Bloodborne came out over a year later.
i mainly play pc. but i play my ps4 every other day to play with friends or play some ps4 exclusive games. i plan on getting an xbox one when they release games i want to play. i might get the switch but im not that big on zelda, but what ive seen looks really good but im not gonna buy a system for one game. i mostly play single player rpg games and fighters.
My PS4 in my primary console for multiplats and exclusive and I just got a switch for exclusives, I had a XB1 for like a month but just couldn't get on with it or even use it.

Might have been said already but HBO is on Playstation Vue now (and Showtime). It's included with the Ultra Slim package! I've also used Vue and it's great i plan on subscribing at some point!

Its more likely that the host of the show is always on the left side, at least thats my opinion. gamescast, ps i love you, gog, and colin and greg live were always host on left.

Don't Worry You can't argue quality of a subjective medium. Even the best MMO wouldn't appeal to me because I don't care about MMO's. PC exclusives by in large are MMO's and MOBA's. Which is cool if that's your thing. Console exclusives tend to be more story driven. They're different. For my money, PC has nothing that can compete with The Last Of Us.

Vue is amazing. And they just added Multi-Screen.
I got Vue when they had the big expansion... they had 3 packages. Maybe it's not like that anymore but the "way too many packages" complaint.

I mainly play on PlayStation 4, and PC. I sometimes play my WiiU.
My wiiu is essentially a Nintendo exclusive device.
I had an Xbox one, then I stored it away as I never play it and increasingly Xbox one games are coming to pc as well.
I may eventually get a Nintendo Switch if it builds up a compelling library, but so far too many factors keep me from even contemplating getting it.
As for mobile, I only play on 3ds really. I never touch my vita, and while I have games on my iPhone/iPad I'd much rather just read on them, listen to audiobooks, or watch a movie/show.

I would say ps4 was finally worth buying this year. Xbox live will always have superior online so that is my multiplayer box.

I pay for PSPlus because I want to play my games online. The free monthly games are a bonus. PS owners had a great ride on PS3 with no subscription needed for online play..... we all knew the free ride would we one day.
Previous gen, played 3rd party games only on X360. Bought a PS3 in 2010 to only to play PS3 exclusives. This gen, play vast majority of 3rd party games on PS4. Bought Xbone to play multiplayer games with friends (they all on Xbone).

BTW, Colin, there are A LOT of people who's defining feature is their sexuality. Because it is such a taboo (still today) they make it so in order to normalize or demonstrate how easy-common-natural it is as in a way to Resist-Reflect mentality.
Just like many people consider their defining feature to be "im into sports" or "Im into gaming" or "im a black male" etc.
There are many, I'd dare say there are more gay people defined by their sexuality than not.

The reason why I only use my PS4 for Sony exclusives is because almost all my friends are on xbox. Still needed to pick up a PS4 because the exclusives are amazing.
If they're serious about Colin leaving, the whole company is screwed.

got both console's, for Xbox I only have gears 4 that comes with all the other gears games that are backwards compatible but digital, also got all halo games that we're bundled with my Xbox one S.
I still have the OG ps4 soon to upgrade to the pro, I pretty much have every game on ps4 well the games I purchased like horizon zero dawn, bloodborne, dark soul's 3, mad max, batman arkham knight, the witcher 3 + digital downloads and a shit ton of playstation plus games i've saved!
if anyone wants proof I have both console's i'll gladly put up pics or video of them either on my Twitter or my RUclips account because I know people like about this all the time but I have proof!
100m+ is pretty much guaranteed for PS4. It'll be 70m by the end of this year, with titles like God of War, Detroit, Last of Us 2, GT Sport, Spiderman, Death Stranding, Days Gone, Kingdom Hearts 3 etc to come. In addition Sony are now super aggressive with pricing due to the X86 architecture facilitating huge cost savings compared to PS3's Cell.
