My take on this? It's time for Tom Holland's Spider-Man to shine in a traditional, standalone Spider-Man movie. From Civil War to space adventures, he's been part of larger-than-life narratives, but he's yet to experience the classic Spider-Man tale swinging through the Big Apple. While the initial divergence from the norm was understandable, it's time to return to the essence of Spider-Man.
I express my desire for a street-level Spider-Man story, devoid of heavy MCU influence, allowing Tom Holland's Spider-Man to truly stand on his own. No more multiverse mayhem; we've already got the spectacular "No Way Home" for that. Save the multiverse for special events like Secret Wars, and let's not dilute the uniqueness that made "No Way Home" a groundbreaking experience.
If there's room for expansion, I suggest exploring classic Spider-Man elements, perhaps introducing Venom and symbiote storylines. A Spider-Man-centric crossover with Venom could be the perfect compromise between a street-level story and an expanded universe.

The ending of Spider-Man no way home promised a classic back to basics Spider-Man story I want that enough with the multiverse movies
I agree I want a Spider-Man that’s grounded in reality, and the Multiverse Story line is getting repetitive.
One of the things that excited me about the ending of no way home was that it felt like it was going transition into something with a vibe similar to the 1994 animated series. I really really hope that my hopes come true.

I completely agree with you Sean, I don't want to see Tobey & Andrew in Spider-man 4, if they want to bring Tobey & Andrew back into the MCU again, save it for Kang Dynasty & Secret wars cause I would love to see them in thoses Avengers movies, & them being in these films would let Tobey & Andrew's Spider-men work with other marvel heroes for the first time
I agree, the next one should be a classic, small-scale Spider-Man story. If Sony wants to do more with Tobey & Andrew then uncancel their sequels. As soon as No Way Home came out, there were hastags on Twitter where people begged for those movies so there is a demand for (at least) one more film for those actors.
Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire have even said they would do a Spider-Man 4 if asked so it's on Sony to greenlight the project. Probably a similar situation for a The Amazing Spider-Man 3 where it just needs to be greenlit.
Just don't do No Way Home 2.
Funny how you mentioned how people probably want the same thing for Amazing Spider-Man 3, when more people wanted Andrew to finish his trilogy more so than Spider-Man 4. I remember #MakeASM3 was so big, that Sony themselves acknowledge the hashtag.
If they decided to go with a Spider-Man 4 in the Toby maguire verse, they could do a Spider-Man family type thing. Other than in the comics, and as a side character in beyond the spiderverse, they haven’t really explored that much yet and with Toby and dunst being older it would be the perfect opportunity

Sony has apparently never heard of the law of diminishing returns, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was true.
Kingpin is one of the most interesting villains in the MCU, and Kingpin started off as a Spider-Man villain the comics. His main role might be being a Daredevil villain, but the Spider-Man cartoon from the 1990s and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse proved that Kingpin can still work as a Spider-Man villain.
I think Kingpin would be cool in a Spider-Man movie. BUT there are ways they can do it right and ways they can do it wrong

Totally agree here. I really would love to see Tom Holland by himself without connections to any of the others. We need a classic street level spider-man story facing a villain we haven’t seen before (Scorpion)
I'd love to see a movie open up with an elaborate sequence of Spider-man robbing a bank or something only to reveal that it's Chameleon.
I want more of a street level story. Kevin Feige at least knows that's what fans want for the fourth MCU flick.

No Way Home set up a grounded neighborhood SpiderMan story that doesn’t have to involve other MCU characters because they don’t know him. Tom needs his own unique film.
Realistically even a grounded movie will have MCU characters, as a crossover was part of the original deal (Iron Man, Fury, Strange) and daredevil feels super likely HOWEVER this time I hope it feels like Spidey can stand on his own alongside DD rather than feeling like a mentee. Even when he was young in the comics what made him special was that he was still a superhero who could compete with the big leagues
I don’t have a problem with crossovers as long as they don’t over do it. DD would be a good one.
Basically... any MCU from now on should be mostly about hero fighting the threats that came within earth and less about space or alternate universe (maybe exception for upcoming Secret War and Deadpool 3 cuz they finished filming that)
They didn't necessary have to go "dark and gritty" like Craig's James Bond movie, they just need to do like in most of the early/Phase 1-2 MCU movie where most of the villains are came within earth and that will make the villain from outer space/alternate universe feel like a serious threat...
I really want Spider-Man to fight Kingpin at some point.
Typical Sony. They love to react without much thought of the long run. No Way Home also set up for a street-level sequel, so it would undo the ending of that film and become inconsistent with itself.
I don't care if Daredevil is gonna appear in Spider-Man 4, what matter is its a classic grounded street level film just like the raimi trilogy, and the amazing Spider-Man duology

Either way this movie is going to be like an event regardless if it's grounded or not because the same leaker that said this about Tobey and Andrew.
said that it will be grounded with characters from the defenders and antman and that kingpin will be mayor of NY and make illegal all the vigilantes out there.
He also said that Kevin feige is fighting for a villain from the Sony spin off universe that we haven't in live action yet (probably kraven) to be in Tom's universe.
He also said that the vulture and probably his gang will come back and they won't need an introduction but we have villains that work with kingpin in the comics like scorpion, the prowler, tombstone like into the spider verse and also hammerhead.
This movie could possibly have 8 villains and I think that is insane.
You have vulture, shocker, the thinkerer, prowler and scorpion from the first movie and we know they want to introduce another villain that very well could be kraven and I'm forgetting tombstone and hammerhead.
And I honestly don't want that don't get me wrong I also Want a grounded story but I don't want it to be another event.
I'm fine if you introduce black cat, Gwen, Harry and have a few villains here and there but I think Marvel is worried and feel that they have to do a more ambitious movie thanks to no way home.
I just want a grounded Spiderman movie with Spiderman characters and villains, is it that hard to do without a big event?

Sony just Chill smh…but Daredevil definitely needs to be in it classic team up…I loved it in the 90s cartoon.
This could not be more unnecessary. For one bringing Tobey and Andrew back takes away from what makes no wau home unique and special but mainly, after no way home, it NEEDS to be a grounded street level Spiderman movie. The movie needs to focus entirely on Tom holland Peter Parker. It needs to be all about him and how he is moving forward and living his life, as Spiderman and a person, after losing everyone he knows and loves. Bring Tobey and Andrew back in secret wars, that makes sense and I'd be very happy with that but they don't need to be in Spiderman 4
How about this. We get a street level MCU Spider-Man movie with Tom. If Sony wants to do another multiverse film, they can do it with Tobey and Andrew. Maybe when Dr Strange sent them back another magic user abducted the two Peter to his universe because he needed their help for something.
I feel like the Mulitverse stuff should come back in Spiderman 6. The ending of NWH sets up Peter at his lowest so it makes sense the next one should pit him against Scorpion or Kingpin

I loved No Way Home. It was an unforgettable experience. When I look at it objectively, I do kinda wish it was filmed not during Covid, was able to incorporate the other heroes in from the beginning, and had a director with more visual flair to his movies.
If you want to make that kind of movie you gotta make it now while Tobey is still relatively young looking.
The way I see it, you can always make a grounded, simple Spider-Man movie. They’re not gonna stop making Spider-Man movies after this so they might as well make the time crunch one first.

Honestly for SPIDER-MAN 4 I would like to see a more grounded story with daredevil,kingpin,scorpion that sound like an ideal Spider-Man 4 if they really want Multiverse events they could do a 80/20 where towards the end the spidermen come back and it somehow connects with Avengers 5.
I’m surprised that it isn’t the other way around with Marvel wanting to do another multiverse story again, considering their current saga is the Multiverse Saga!

I have been wanting a classic Spider-Man story with Tom Holland since Homecoming.
No Way Home set that up perfectly so it would make sense to finally see a more grounded and street level Spider-Man 4 with Tom.
Although I would rather not see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back again, simply because No Way Home was such a special film seeing all 3 versions of the character together for a once in a lifetime experience!
I would still be happy to see them again if they were to appear in Secret Wars or something.
But for now, I am officially becoming bored of the repetitive multiverse stuff…

Part of the contract Sony made forces Marvel to add at least 1 other hero so unless they make a new contract or Marvel gets the full rights back, there will always be at least one other hero in his movies
But that’s honestly fine because Iron Man, Strange, & Fury never overshadowed Peter it’s all still Spider-Man centered stories
It really depends what's the idea, the movie could be grounded for an hour and then go multiverse for whatever reason, I don't think it should be dismissed, we don't know and there's no denial these three guys had chemistry.

Honestly, it’s to the point now where if they do multiverse I might not watch it. Why redo something that was so special the first time? I think friendly neighbourhood spiderman is the way to go

I would do Peter at ESU meeting Mary Jane, Harry Osborn and Gwen Stacy. take videos of himself from J Johan youtube show. One of the teachers is Miles Warren. Now the plot Johan go a scientist in New York and uses criminal Mac Gargin and makes him Scorpion. Peter trying to live his life and create an identity and make new friends at college and pay his one bed room. Scropion fightSpider-Man and loses but survives. Then mac goes insane and want to kilk Johan. This movie is about Showing Jay the error of his way and making Spider-Man a champion of the people.
Street...please. 4 can lead into another trilogy, so there is time for a revisit to the cosmos and multiverse in 5th or 6th film...
I am with Feige and Holland wanting to do a street level film, another Tobey and Andrew team up sounds as desperate as Marvel Studios considering to bring back the original 6 Avengers back for another Avengers movie. I prefer we get a Tom Holland Spider-Man 4 where he fights Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin teaming up with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.
Imo Spider-Man 4 is kinda make or break for Tom's SM. It was cool how they gave him such a long origin story but now we need to see him be classic NYC's Spider-Man on his own

I haven't seen the last few seasons of Flash. That's why I didn't cover it before. At this point I'd need to rewatch the entire series to do a ranking and that's not possible

I agree with you minus the venom stuff. Not sure if it’s just because of the recent game but I’ve never enjoyed a venom story whether it be his films or spiderman 3 or the game. One of my favourite things about Spider-Man is the villains are somewhat relatable and a lot of the time come from a similar place as Spider-Man (e.g. science experiment gone wrong) and you can sympathise with them they just went down the wrong path. To me there’s very little interest in an alien goo that mind controls someone

Realistically speaking, other MCU characters being in the movie is very likely. However, it should be characters more so associated with Spider-Man. Characters that make a lot more sense for him to crossover with in New York. Perfect example being Daredevil given their history throughout the decades in the comics and animated series. The two of them, New York based heroes, teaming up against someone like Fisk who’s running for Mayor, makes more sense and feels like a more authentic crossover
Yeah, that works, as long as Spider-Man remains the main focus, which he has in the last three....
Do you think they could do a Spider-Man movie with him as the focus while still using Charlie cox’s daredevil. I’m struggling to think of a way they can integrate daredevil without him being a major focus and allure of the movie while also having him be more than just a cameo. These two characters have so much potential together and they are very street-level heroes, but I don’t think they can do it without Daredevil stealing the stage.

I think daredevil would be exception to what I said. He’s a lawyer and a hero on the street level IN NYC who also has Kingpin as a villain. That provides a number of options which feel organic

Only trouble is is that secret wars is not a sony film, its completely disney's box office revenue. Why would sony want to wait until someone else makes all the money for their characters again? I fully agree with u tho. If they can fit spiderman 6 in before secret wars then maybe another multiverse before the full team up but not yet, I hope they go street level, spiderman isolated and fighting a classic villain not tied to any other superheroes (except maybe kingpin)

Here's my take: I wouldn't mind if they did something multiverse related in the mid/post credits scene, but if there's going to be any multiverse, leave it at that. Heck, I'd even love to see Tom Holland team up with Charlie Cox so we can have the iconic team-up between Spider-Man and Daredevil, but keep it grounded.

I wouldn’t say it was my least favorite but I definitely don’t think it’s the masterpiece so many proclaim it to be. Everything in the film is pretty convenient and for the nostalgia sake. Yes, I was ecstatic to see Tobey and Andrew again but the setup to there could’ve made more sense and played out better…
Its the only live action multiverse movie that works. The Flash and MoM could not copy its sheer awesomeness or dramatic moments

@@j-zhirngaming9550I think it would ruin the ending of no way home. Plus, there are so many different love interests for Peter. Pick a different one. I find Zendaya’a MJ to be bland and lacking any personality
