Kevin Feige and Tom Holland are 100% right and I'm on their side. I really want this next Spider-Man movie to be a grounded street level story for the character and I don't want both of his movies from no way home to Spider-Man 4 to be back-to-back massive crossover events because that just sucks all the magic out of them. Sony is just taking the lazy and worst route by trying to repeat the success of no way home and it's going to be the downfall of his Spider-Man if Kevin Feige and Tom Holland can't save this. Sony continue to make the worst imaginable choices for the Spider-Man character and his rogue's gallery. Sony.... For the Love of All That is Holy, can they just give the live-action rights to Spider-Man back to Marvel because what the actual hell are they doing? They can keep the animated right so they can keep making masterpieces with the spider verse movies but these live action movies are insults to cinema and honestly I don't think the comic book genre can survive Sony's mishandling of these characters.
Something different would be nice; but the audience might see a story on a smaller scale as being unimportant.
They're probably going to do Spider Island, or something crazy like cross over the Web Warriors into live action and fight the Inheritors.
They're kind of setting that up with Madame Web.

I agree with the street level crime fighting, but it's a hallow shell to do so. Of the three Spiderman, Holland was an avenger, fought Thanos, was dusted, revived and fought Thanos again, saving the multiverse in its own way... the other two don't compare. At all. Even a little. They're just butt plugs in comparison. After the last spiderman movie, Holland has not only fought Thanos, he fought all the previous spider billions that couldn't even stand in Thanos shadow... so... wtf is the argument? Where's the comparison?
While I agree with the need for a more grounded film, I understand where Sony's coming from. They think that a multiversal film will bring in a billion plus dollars at the box office, while most of these other films are a bit more of a gamble. The problem is it doesn't mean that most of us really want to see it even IF we pay for it. The only thing that it would prove is that we want to see another Spider-Man film.

I would have paid actual money to watch Colton’s pitch about the Sony universe in theaters. This was way better than anything we’ve actually gotten over the last few years from Sony themselves.
I get the feeling Miles Morales will enter our live action universe and then be the main Sony Spiderman.

I honestly think they should hard reboot. Sony’s universe is dead and maybe there could be another universe with Miles Morales as the main character. Or just Peter, jeez, someone just please stop Sony!
Sony has been so mindbogglingly stupid greenlightning all these terrible movies. Just let smart people make your movies for you, whether that’s getting Marvel studios to do the creative, or getting your animation department to work with clever writers. Like, you are not good at this, people.
Knowing Sony they will continue what they are doing. They are planning to make a Morbius 2. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a movie about the Wall.

The ideal solution, I think, would be for Sony to let Marvel studios handle the direction of their spider-verse. Have there be more connective tissue between the projects. Honestly I think both studios would benefit greatly. They could make Knull a big bad.

The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, there was no one left to stop AVI ARAD from ruining everything

Since Venom knew who Spiderman was but Eddie didnt...would be a good opportunity to Make Eddie's universe the same universe as the new Ultimate Spiderman comic that just came out. Reed Richards prevented Peter's spider bite in that universe until Tony fixed it. Could work with an "older" Andrew Garfield variant.

As a Marvel comic fan growing up, I love seeing all of these awesome characters on the big screen. Yet, it does make me sad to see how they (Execs.) butcher the personalities and motives of our beloved characters. I wish these companies had amazing and creative people behind their projects, just like everyone at screencrush. The theories and plots y'all bring are always fresh and relevant, whereas what these movies show are pale and oblique. Y'all would kill it in the movie industry :(. Go screencrush!!!

A theory I heard was that Vulture wasn't misplaced by Doctor Strange, but by the events of "Into the Spider-Verse". In "Across the Spider-Verse", Miguel's task force is finding and capturing villains misplaced by the super collider in the first movie, the first one we see being a version Vulture!
If venom 3 plot that comes out is true then no wah home and innto the spiderverse happen at the same time. Will also explain why harry tasms harry and topher grace venom was not inn no way home
It is very unlikely I will ever see another Sony Spider-Verse movie in theatres unless they somehow get their shit together. That goes for Kraven and especially for Madame Web. I'll stream 'em eventually, probably.

Two sides with one coin, one being marvel studios, sometimes good, sometimes bad of Sony, making good Spider-Man films made some poorly made mistakes.
Will never forgive them for not making Carnage rated R, and on top of that killing him off. Maybe hopefully can see him again via multiverse

Your pitch sounds awesome, and if I were a movie exec (surprise, I'm not) it would have been a fantastic plan. Plus, since you start with Venom Kraven and Morbius movies that stand alone fairly well without needing to feel like they're just a set-up for the team-up. It also succeeds in making Carnage a big-bad, which is a major issue with the current version losing so easily.

For me in these spider-man villain movies, I was looking forward to seeing them actually be villains. Example I think Morbius could've been so much better if they went all in on turning Morbius into this Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde character, with the Vampire half being a monster that feeds on civilians and human half trying to stop it. In the end Vampire would conquer the human half and continue to go off and feed on innocent people (post credit scene being a tease to venom or spider-man tracking down Morbius).

Sony needs to just let go, at least with the live action movies. At this point Venom feels more like a fluke, and what could have been, if they had their shit together. Whoever is handling their Marvel movies isn't doing a good job. And with the animated movies... a hands off approach, just let the animators do what they want, they clearly know what they're doing.

With the introductions of Madam Webb and the "Web of life and Destiny", I'd like to see the Sony Spider-Manless universe explore why there is no Spider-Man and the consequences of that fact. Introduce the fact that there is *supposed* to be a Spider-Man, but that for some reason there isn't.
Actually, now that I've typed it all out, it would make a lot of sense if it was revealed that the Spider-manless universe is the Earth-42 that Miles is in at the end of "Into the Spider-Verse".

So much of what you want is interesting from a writing perspective, an art perspective. But the money determines that, not the art. There won't be more Morbius because it flopped so hard.

Bring back Andrew Garfield. That's my answer to this problem. Garfield can reference the events of No Way Home if SONY still wants to drop teasers, while also having his own story where he's given a second chance at being Spiderman. The fan base is there. The interest is there. He's not too old. Make it happen, SONY.

What I don't think people realized was that if Andrew Garfield did an awesome job in the MCU, HE wasn't the problem in "The Amazing Spider-Man" duology...it was the writing and directing. Hence, Sony not knowing what they're doing with live action Spider-Man without Kevin's input/help.

I kept saying this since No Way Home first released, but we need a major Spider-Man 4. And I mean a *SPIDER. MAN. FOUR.*
Sony wants Spider-Man so bad? With the popularity of Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield after No Way Home, they could have EASILY allowed Andrew Garfield to finish HIS trilogy, as the only Live Action Spider-Man not to have a complete trilogy. Connect it the Venom-verse, LET Andrew Garfield Spider-Man fight HIS alien and it just happened to be the same alien that Tobey Maguire Spider-Man fought, but this time it's Tom Hardy's giant Venom and not Tobey's skinny Eric Forman Venom. With Venom in the Venom-verse teasing the multiverse, this would be a great way to connect the dots as Andrew Garfield just returned from the MCU, was hinted with fighting Venom by Tobey and now has to fight his own universes version of Venom.
THEN you cap it all off with *SPIDER-MAN 4* as the 4th installment of EVERY Live Action Spider-Man that even features a cameo from Into The Spider-Verses Miles Morales' Spider-Man to defeat the Multiversal Sinister Six. Who could be the villain? Mysterio, Rhino, Kraven, Doc Ock, Electro, Sandman, Shocker, Carnage, Venom, The Lizard, Ned's version of the Hob Goblin, The Green Goblins both Harry and Norman. But the main force behind this Multiversal event could either be Kingpin or give us a variant of Mysterio that ACTUALLY knows magic in his universe and is the Sorcerer Supreme. Ultimately taking his universes role as their Dr Strange and causing the Spider-Verse to become unstable and we see it collapse. That is if you want another Multiversal event from Spider-Man.
This is what I want from another huge Spider-Man film, it would be too much like fan fiction, but I don't care lmao.

MCU Spider-Man vs. the Sony-Marvel Characters

Sony should have done a live action version of Spiderverse. Have Tobey Maguire have a teenage daughter be Spider Girl and have him be a mentor and help. Put Andrew Garfeild in the Venom Verse. Make a Spider Gwen movie. Have Tom Holland still in the MCU but bring in Miles. Put a Sinister 6 villian in each movie. Have a part 1 film movie were the Sinister 6 gangup on one or two Spiderpeople then they bring in all of them to fight the Sinister 6 in part 2.
That was really good. Always bugs me though cause you will find theories like videos on this channel and others that really get into the story and try to predict what everything means (see trailer breakdowns before Morbius) and the stuff you guys come up with is light-years ahead of what actually happens. Sometimes wish these movie studios would get their head out of their butts and hire people who know the stories, even just as consultants to make their movies make sense...

My only issue with these film ideas is that 2 films will be the exact same story. Kraven hunts a villain but doesn’t realize they are being framed before teaming up with the them to fight the real villain. There has to be better ways to get these guys together.
The best thing that could happen to the spiderman IP would be if Sony relinquished the rights and vowed not to ever make another spiderman movie again.
As an apology to the fanbase they could release a short clip with jared Letto waking up and realizing Mobius didn't really happen, it was all a dream.

I love the idea of Andrew Garfield in "Venomverse". I think they need to expand that, and like your suggestions. I also want Another Tobey film. Madam Web uniting them again w or wo Tom. Sony has had so many opportunities here to give us what we want and make a ton of money, but... Also should have explored all symbioses in a trilogy saga where Venom loses badly in part 1 or 2 like Empire Strikes back.
The more wide perspective the more choices are in view for a specific goal

Love you Colton! i’ve been saying this and complaining about it to whoever will listen me. i think all the sony adjacent spiderman films are terrible. yes even venom. it was written so so poorly and the morbius post credit scene make me so mad it makes me start to sweat when i think about it. sony stop trying to grift off the mcu! anyway thank you saying what ive been thinking.
Easy fix just follow the absolute Carnage blueprint that opens the door to Knull, or do a superior Spider man arc where Doc Ot becomes Spidey. Marvel and Sony has to keep it simple

Wait, Dr. Strange's spell made everyone across the multiverse forget that Peter Parker exists and is Spiderman. That applied to villains in other universes. They made so many jokes about all three being named Peter Parker, so wouldn't their universes' friends and families have forgotten them too? Stephen really is the biggest threat to the multiverse. (Good news for Miles, Spider-Gwen, and all the non-Peters, though, I guess.)

Sony should just use Andrew. Bring him back in Madam Web. The Venomverse and previous Spideys exist in the multiverse. Just keep using Andrew. Or use Tobey and Andrew. Keep making The OG and TAS. Between the MCU and the Spiderverse we understand how it works and the fans will be able to keep them separate.
Honestly Colton is not good at rating movies but when it comes to writing videos and pitching theories he’s almost unmatched. Pretty much everything he said here I agree and the pitching of the anti-hero Vemon universe is too good to ignore.

I remember the first Venom idea was an R Rated cosmic horror and that was changed. Venom was ok, but there was lot of potential lost. Morbius, too. R Rated would have made it more fun and gave a vampire movie some blood.
