They didn’t want to pay Herschel…they would rather pay him as a voice actor which is less money, it was probably a studio decision
They couldn’t recast black panther because he has the clause that he can only play black panther
Dude !! you look like Macaulay Culkin :)))
Love that this video about post-credits scenes included a post-credits scene. Well done all.
Came here to say this. Excellently executed gag
Fax
In Eternals, while not a post credit scene, it could be classified as one. When Arishem appears, that was hands down, best scene of post end game. And boom, never heard from again.
‘Black Widow’ was the intended introduction for Valentina, but when the movie was delayed a couple months she debuted in ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ instead
6:06 Funniest moment in a Screencrush video for a while. Makes this set feel original and alive
You're so right about the venom post credit scene! They knew what they were doing for sure
The problem with all the new post-credit scenes can be summarized really simply imo:
They used to always, no matter what, tell you when/where the characters would return next, and they don't do that for everyone anymore.
When is Starfox coming next?
When is Clea coming next?
When is the Eternal in the ocean going to matter?
Etc.
Let it marinate, the old post credit scenes were not much better
@@mitchelltythe old post credits with Thanos were gold
Ok Doug's CG-eye joke was absolutely precious 😂
I loved how you had Colton and Doug in a post credit scene. The Screen Crush-verse is well and up.
You're right about Venom being a bit of a disappointment in No Way Home, Ryan. With that film being about the Sinister Six, only having 5 antagonists was a bit of a letdown especially since the writers said that their original plan was to have Venom heal Toby's Peter since he's the Peter the symbiote knows about from Spider-Man 3. No Way Home was amazing, but that was a missed opportunity.
A bit of a disappointment it was awful..
my theory is that venom was a backup plan in case the other spidermen and their villains didn't want to be in nwh
One thing people need to remember is the fans ruined tht bc once they did have venom in no way home everyone leaked it so they had to stop it
The payoff in Hawkeye was fantastic, if for no other reason than it gave us the "Sriracha" scene between Yelena and Kate Bishop.
"You're so fuuunny, Kate Bishop"
I love how fans don't let post credit scenes actually fill it purpose we waited 6 years for Thanos to appear on the sceen after a post credit scene
All the films were tied into thanos and the stand alone films were actually good and brought the other main characters into their movies or joint movies. Not to mention the characters AND actors were already known
Thanos was in GOTG and the end credit scene in AOU
What those 2 said
I will never forget that scene.
I had come back into the theater just to see if there was one, while my significant other took our boys out to the potty.
Then it comes up and I just started saying, “No way…”
And when he said it was to court Death…
Man, that moment meant so much.
I checked, Avengers was 2012, and GoTG was 2014. and the beginning of Avengers was clearly introducing the big Bad, Thanos, via mention and his subordinates. the post credit scene finally showed his face
I'd love to see a video of you rewriting these post credit scenes to something that actually makes sense.
@@siddharthsriram2685look I agree with you but the mid credits of seeing the council of kangs is good becusse it will show who will be the villains of avenegrs the kang dyansty
@@siddharthsriram2685the sarcasm lmao that scene was so cringe
I wonder in the second post credit scene... quil's granddad is holding a newspaper saying "ALIEN ABDUCTION... Kevin Bacon shares all" hahahaha!!
Most post-credits scenes don't serve a purpose nowadays. I think that's the problem. Before Infinity War, we actually cared for cameos, that trope has become old. So, when they don't have a "cool" cameo to show, they just do a comedic scene, which usually doesn't resonate great with audiences.
Most people didn’t care or even know what they were seeing with the cameos. That’s a lie
Ok I’m typing this before the video starts. Am I the only one that hears black widow say “At least recognize me?” when Bucky is attacking everyone in Civil War? Like when he’s triggered as the winter soldier. I always felt like that was a hint that black widow knew the winter soldier at some point when she was working for Russia.
Could be from The Winter Soldier when they interacted
Winter Soldier shot her through the stomach to kill her asset. The “No more bikinis” line in TWS was true.
The Dumb and Dumber drop was just perfect! If I wasn't already a subscriber I'd be in a heartbeat. That part brought me back to being a kid and watching that movie for the first time in theaters. ❤ Keep up the good work SC team!
Thanos tease is my favourite post credits scene - genuine goosebumps when I first saw it on the big screen. In my opinion it can't be topped.
I've never been that much of a fan of the post-credit scene. Nick Fury in Iron Man is great, and Thanos showing up in The Avengers was a fantastic and meaningful surprise. Infinity War had a great lead in to Captain Marvel and no small part of why that movie was a hit. Otherwise, I don't much care for them. A few, like Age of Ultron's Thanos, Mordo in Doctor Strange, or Talos in Far from home were confusing, misleading, or undermining.
Exactly he just be complaining about everything now. He was cool but now he's weird.
Let me thin Thanos killed half of a universe what he do ? decres half of paradox in time then HWR slash Kang can create hes sacred time line bcs all universe was halfed less paradoxes or how it was called "variants" occure🤣 and then Loki take the lead. 😂 Thanos >HWR/Kang>Loki 🤣 MCU is so simple for me almost boring. 😆Hmm did Thaons start Infinite war / Kang wars by his actions ? 🤣Avengers defeat Thanos 1 fo 16(or 14 mln trys cant ramamber now) milions trys /universes / infinity 🤣 or how dr Strange count it 🤣 Then Kang wars is Thanos fault.

Did you need a paragraph that long for that?
Colton has seriously been killing it writing these new episodes. Thank you guys for cutting back on the guest commentary. Keep up the good work guys! Best show on RUclips. Come to San Diego during Comic Con for the next live show!!!
My recent favorite post credit scene was young T’Challa😢
I'm gonna send this to a friend. I been telling him exactly this because i get annoyed with this phase post credits not paying off. I miss the early phase post credits
That black widow post credit scene was completely resolved inside of the Hawkeye TV show
By the time Thunderbolts roll it around it will no longer be relevant because all of the somatic issues of that scene have already been dealt with
Big thumbs-up from me, thank you for this critique and recap!
Props to including a good post credit scene in a Post credit scene video clip.
Your post credit scene was the best of all of them. Chef's kiss.
I loved this one. SOmetimes I think that the later post-credit teases have been more about piling on heroes. It's as if they're in a hurry to get ownership of, say, Hurcules, or The Blck Knight before they have an MCU story to actually tell.
ok, the one thing about the Wandavision you didn't mention - ok, 2 things. 1) that they re-cut it with new music (strange's theme tucked in there) but also that they re-cut it with that 'shimmer' happening down the left side of the screen over the mountains before closing in on the house.
I get that maybe it was a tease for Mordo, or Strange himself, but there we are - the first version simply teased Wanda and the Darkhold. The second version teased something more...that we didn't actually see anything come of.
That blue Kang in the stadium looks like a screaming Sylvester Stallone. Can't unsee it.
*The 2 Quantumania post credit scenes were some of the most exciting ever*
The D&D reference is the greatest thing you've ever done.
Ever.
This video was a worthwhile watch 👍🏼 things have been a bit shaky lately
I do think that part of this is just there is so much content that it's taking longer for them to get sequels and from that longer for them to get payoff.
I can't wait to find out where the post credits scene on this video leads to. Will Colton find out he's trapped in the tv? Will he escape? If he does escape, will he convince Doug to betray Ryan and join forces with him? Will Screencrush send a Christmas card to Heavy Spoilers?
So many exciting questions
thankssss i have been saying these things about the post credit scenes for months now
Hopefully one day we get a post credit scene teasing that marvel studios is making an actually good movie.
That Dumb & Dumber skit was amazing! Colton screaming guys! guys! so funny!
Please Disney, hire this guy and save the MCU
Excellent video!! I agree with virtually everything that was said.
I watched Black Panther twice, both times drunk, and both times balled my eye out throughout 80% of the movie
THANKS for this, Doug and Ryan!!!!! Even though this sounds very whiny (which you've doing a lot lately), you are right.
That Black Panther end scene had me in tears movie was really good for a marvel film
Appreciate the shout-out to the writer of the video. Nice touch 👍
Your videos are just amazing 🤩
The best recent post-credits wasn't even after the credits: the Young Avengers tease in The Marvels
I was just about to saw the same thing. Absolute BEST credit scene in a really long time.
When Dough said “ Eternals Sucks” I had to replay that 5 times. Hilarious! 😂
Great video!
What's the worst Marvel post-credits scene?
Doctor Strange 1 since it was just a scene from Thor 3
Multiverse of madness.....very very end...."it's over"...I mean what the actual f...
Talking about the recent ones, the post credit of Multiverse of madness has to be the most lame and pointless one in all of mcu.
And if we include mid credits as well, then LAT disappointed me, the way they portrayed Hercules.
The one in Thor 1. Ruined the shock of Loki's suicide. Loki should've only been shown again in the Avengers. The credit scene should've hidden that Loki was alive.
lol.😂”touch blue make it true”
Weren’t they always just easter eggs? Avengers Initiative. Thor’s Hammer. Thanos reveal. The Twins. What was better then than what we have now?
Just got some shirts for friends from screen crush. Thanks. Always great content.
The very first post credit scene (Iron Man) teased something that didn’t happen for another 4 years. Feels like a lot of McU fans have trained themselves to only appreciate instant or quick gratification. It’s exhausting.
“This is my son, Skarr”
AHHHHHHHH🤣
I once attended a screening of Cabin Fever at CAA and the director started screaming at everyone bc the house lights came on when the credits started rolling. “Turn the lights off! Don’t you idiots know there’s always a post credits scene!”
OMG!!!!!!! Finally! I’ve been wanting to see Colton (?) in that little tv forever
Man, how are the Doug jokes always so good! I crack up hard at least twice a video from a back and forth with Doug.
The Let there be Carnage and No Way Home mid credit scenes were collaborated between Sony and Marvel Studios. I believe this will be addressed in Venom 3.
They thought nobody would realize when they say "major role" to three jonathan majors characters
1:45 that ding gave me a legit jump scare lmao
The post-credit scene at the end is hilarious!
“It really slapped” guat 😂
0:39 Real Sam Rami fans appreciated this.
There doesn't always have to be a movie about something they can always have a character mention something that happened outside of a movie or series to include this event in the multiverse.
Interesting post-credit scene at the end of this video. Was it perhaps teasing that Colton will appear at the upcoming live show? Or that he won't be able to because he is in the errr ON TV?
My big take away is that studios need to stop pretending to have a plan ,and actually formulate a plan.
I'd like to see a screen crush video, mentioning all the the heroes (and villians) that is on the slate, introduced, and announced to be in the MCU. Seems like so many, from She hulk, scar, potential young avengers, moon knight, etc etc.
I literally rolled my eyes @ "C.G.EYE" 😂
HEY COLTON ! YOU MADE IT IN AN AWESOME AFTER CREDIT SCENE !!!!!
Valentina needs Allegra (for her snotty nose) de Elaine. That's gold. Bruce Campbell as a French man, that was copper
Nailed it!!!!🎯🎯🎯
dont forget that they teased the existince of Baldur, their other sibling, in Loki season 2
"Sometimes it pays out to be pacient" was one of my favorites
Ironically, the one DCEU post credit that actually paid off was by James Gunn with The Suicide Squad teasing the Peacemaker series
Been following this channel for while and only now just realized that Doug refers to Ryan as 'Person'...for some reason i just thought he was calling him 'Percy'? as if that was Ryan's name and i never even occurred to me to question that 😂... Anyway, great video.
Great video
Love that Porco Rosso clip in the beginning
I just went to Merch store to sign up for Dougie. Says closing today (12-14-2023), but also says SOLD OUT Will not let me signup Any second chances?
Either tease a movie already slated to come out next or within the next 6 months, or don't tease anything. Hearing the hammer hitting metal at the end of Endgame after the credits has been more exciting than any other post-credits scene since then.
Best Postcredit scene since Iron Man 1😅
Greetings from Germany 😊
You skipped the young avengers set up post credit scene! It was one of my favs!
Hahahah I fucin love sc. that battle was worth it 😂
I don't think Jane in Valhalla was intended to tease her in future movies. I think it was intended to commend all those who fallen while fighting a valient battle with cancer.
Adding all these characters for secret wars. Actually just worked out for the perfect backup plan as kang just got fired.
I think they should do a Watcher type of movie where the Watcher just watches and narrates a bunch of scenes from the post credits and to tell their story to wrap them up or to connect the dots for all of them. Squeeze them in with mad action in short story form. Maybe like 6storys in one movie, with cameos of major characters like Spider-Man, hulk, cap, iron man, etc.
that's what-if binge watched
YOU CAN'T TRIPLE STAMP A DOUBLE STAMP!!
The aimlessness of the phase 4-5 post credit really exposes that there is no outline connecting the projects together and that they really are just winging it and it isn't working out.
Firstly love and appreciate your work brother. I disagree with recasting Tchalla. A varient, his son or mysteriously bringing back Killmonger is the right way to go imo.
No one can replace Doug.
thank you for taking me back to grade 2 times infinity
9:31 HEY! I'm the guy in the theater who tells all the people sitting around me who people are! YOU have no idea. I knew it was CLEA, as I told everyone BLACK KNIGHT was the Avenger who was in the entire duration of the ETERNALS movie. I give the MCU credit for throwing in characters from the comics....as foreshadowing.
I think it’s also easy to look back and see the meaning. I don’t think you would have said the same thing during that time. 7 years Lester we might say. Ahh I see. All of that does make sense. Who knows though. Love your videos!
Great video thank you to Everyone who made it possible post credit scene should keep it simple like a hammer out of nowhere and nice saved at the end Doug that was close 😅
Yeah I honestly just thought Blade was forgotten about during this hero fatigue because it’s been so long since we’ve seen anything about it and I could immediately tell it was a Blade tease but yes I did know blade was in the works.
Quantumania had by far the best post credit scenes out of anything post endgame and it’s not even close.
Nice post-credit scene!
great post credit scene on a vid about post credit scene
Well, at least you really nailed your post-credit screne
7:58, there is a clip labeled "Tampon" -- it should be "Tampopo"
I've been thinking AVX would fit into our current trajectory. I'd love to see a Phoenix 5
Before post credit scenes led into the next movie, now it's like MCU just sticks anything and everything in a post credit scene just to cover their bases for whatever the MCU decides to go with next.
I don't understand inserting at 8:51 a brief shot from Deathly Hallows, Part I in the middle of that discussion of Peter Parker being forgotten by everyone. Who was being forgotten in the Deathly Hallows scene?
Wait so could the Fantastic Four film take place in that Rama Tuts universe ? Yo that post credit scene might be more fire than we originally thought !
