In the final battle in 2018’s Black Panther, T'Challa was forced to kill Killmonger.
Moments before Erik’s death, T'Challa offered to heal his cousin, but Killmonger refused, he didn’t want his life saved only to spend the rest of it caged in a cell. And this was Killmonger’s end.
But the multiverse is vast and filled with infinite possibilities, and there is an Earth where T'Challa made a different decision, he saved Killmonger.
Would Killmonger join the fight against Thanos? Could Killmonger be redeemed?
How would he deal with Namor and the war with Talokan?
If Killmonger survives, then the most interesting story is the aftermath of the snap. A dark time where half of all life is gone, including T'Challa and Shuri. A time where Killmonger can either become Wakanda’s new protector or the most deadly villain on the planet.
Thing is that this is Killmonger, so he might take over, kill the Avengers and turn Wakanda into a galactic empire.
So let’s ask the question - what if Killmonger survived….
So let’s begin at the moment Killomonger removes the spear from his body.
While Killmonger is still bleeding to death, T'Challa decides to save his cousin.
He believes that letting his cousin die here will be repeating history. His own father’s decision to kill his brother, turned Erik into Killmonger.
And now T'Challa feels obligated to be better than his father and give Erik a second chance.
T'Challa calls Shuri and urges her to help him save their cousin’s life.
At first Shuri refuses, arguing that they should let him die after all that Killmonger did and all the people he killed.
But T'Challa says that Erik is their family, and he deserves a second chance, the opportunity that was robbed from him when he was a boy. T'Challa says that they must aspire to be better.
For too long they closed their hearts to the suffering of those outside of Wakanda. And if they let Erik die now, they only prove that he was right.
Reluctantly, Shuri begins the operation.
Killmonger is mortally wounded, but the heart shaped herb’s superhuman effects keep him alive. And with Wakanda’s miracle tech and Shuri’s skills, his life is saved.
T'Challa isn’t naive, he knows what Killmonger is, and that it will be a long and hard road to rehabilitate him.
Since he cannot trust him, he puts Killmonger in a fancy prison that overlooks Wakanda’s sunset.
But when Killmonger finally wakes up, he sees the room as nothing more than a cell.
To Killmongers surprise the heart shape herb effects still run through his veins. T'Challa explains that the herb’s power is the only thing that keeps Killmonger alive. This is why he didn’t remove it from his body.
Over the next two years, T'Challa visits him almost every day, giving Killmonger something he lost when he was a boy - love and kinship.
Killmonger won’t change that easily though. He sees T'Challa’s good intention as weakness, so he starts using that, believing that it’s the one way for T'Challa to let him out. And once he’s free, he can finish what he started.
But before he gets a chance, Thanos happens.
When the Avengers call for Wakanda helps against Thanos, T'Challa considers letting Erik join the army. But eventually T'Challa decides that there’s too much at stake and he simply doesn’t trust Killmonger yet.
Side note. When planning this What If, we wanted Killmonger to fight Thanos, and even give him a redemption story. But going in that direction feels too predictable and it will only cheapen the story. We went the other way.
And so, as the battle for wakanda begins, Killmonger watches it all from his cell, witnessing everything.
Seeing the armies in action, Killmonger actually is rooting for Earth’s forces, but only because he wants to use such an army to achieve his own goals.
But just as it looks like the day is wone, the snap happenes. Killmonger stands at his window, watching in disbelief as people start turning to dust on the battlefield.

This is probably the best concept for another Killmonger Whaf if but the MCU still treated Killmonger with the utmost respect. The only bad thing they did was kill him off but even the character seemed like he was ready to die

Yeah to bad T’Challa didn’t kill Killmonger
Killmonger should not have died. He should’ve been left alive, healed and been a member of the thunderbolt Ross team. I can understand Killmonger‘s anger. The racism that he seen is unfathomable. He didn’t want to kill everybody he just wanted to bring his “justice“ to the world because of injustice toward his race and culture. I can understand being that angry. He could’ve been the MCU’s version of Black Adam. If Black Lighting was in the MCU instead of the DCEU, he could’ve reformed Killmonger and put that rage and anger toward helping his community like Black Lighting did for Fremont. Also, they have an actor at the quality of Michael B Jordan should be in the MCU. He is a great actor.
Holy Sh!t that was awesome....Kilmonger is irredeemable..and that post credit scene of Hulk coming back for Kilmonger was epic asf....

I loved the first Black Panther. My favourite part was when Erik yelled "it's N'Jadakin' time!!" and proceeded to monger kills across the globe
I love these videos. Could you do a "What if steve failed returning the stones?". It would be cool to atleast explore what his journey was like and what the outcome would be if he failed.
One of the best untold stories including Spider-Man 4💯
First, the Earth would be consumed by Dormammu. Second, Malekith would be pissed, staying in his Dark Hole forever. Third, Ultron and Vision would have never been born and Wanda and Pietro would stay normal people, but in this timeline they're already dead because of the Dormammu thing.
Overall: Earth is no more, but things in space are pretty nice, considering Thanos being dead and all-powerful Infinity Stones being gone. If there is some fundamental law of the universe regarding Stones being present in order for it to exist, then that universe collapses also.
There would be no racial tension or sexism. Come on!!!
I love that idea. I remember watching them send only Steve back and I was thinking how badly he could mess up destroy multiple entire universes yet there’s this wholesome happy ending? Hope they revisit that “mission” more someday

If Killmonger survive, he would have killed Namor, there's a scene in the movie where in the ancestral plane he suggest Shuri kill Namor.
Namor would destroy him lmaoo, Shuri beat him with smarts and killmonger would just try to fight him thinking he could handle a hulk level superhero lmao
@@gucciguzmane Killmonger is more calculating and cunning than that, the Black Panther and What If proves this fact. How do you think he was able to infiltrate Wakanda expose TChalla father murdering his father, and challenge him for the mantle, which he won fair and square.

@@gucciguzmanenot true. Killmonger was confirmed to be an expert tactician in various (if not nearly all) military/combat strategy. This was explained in the first Black Panther when they brought up his profile and furthered when they explained his intention for burning the herbs and showing him explaining his strategy to takeover the world. Killmonger was far from some brute. Even in his combat, we saw him attack the vulnerable spots on T'Challa during the challenge to hinder him in the fight; again, proving him strategizing. With this considered, it is reasoned that if (and certainly, when) Killmonger discovered Namor's weakness, he would've exploited it; whether he thought of the idea for the oven or if one of his appointed-lieutenants would've

I believe Killmonger could still be alive. One glaring thing about when he meets with Suri in the ancestral plane was that his hair was a different style and longer. It couldn't be a continuity error. I believe T'Challa wouldn't let his cousin die and escape justice from the living (he didn't with Zemo either). With Wakanda's medical advancements I think it's possible they put him in an induced coma due to the severity of his injury or to buy time to figure out what to do with him. While in that coma, his soul would have access to the ancestral plane like what we saw in BP2.

If I was writing black panther and I didn't have any oversight, I would have T'Challa delay killmongers attempt at the throne so he'd have a chance to get to know the people he planned on leading.

Only problem- killmonger destroyed the rest of the heart shaped herb. They wouldn’t have had any left for him, as proven in BP 2 when the only choice was to synthesize a new one
The point was that it was never taken out of his system
IN REALITY, A SUPER ADVANCED SOCIETY LIKE WAKANDA WOULD NEVER BE IN A SITUATION WHERE ALL OF THE HEART SHAPED HERB WAS DESTROYED. THEY WOULD HAVE A NUMBER OF FAIL SAFES IN OPERATION SO IT WOULD NEVER BE COMPLETELY ERADICATED. SPECIAL FORCE FIELD PROTECTED VAULTS ONLY SELECT FEW KNEW ABOUT WHICH KILLMONGER WOULD HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF.

Omg. This was the best thing about marvel heros to arise this year. Dark themes and plot twist are missed in these movies so much.
I believe he could've survived and when he was 'buried in the ocean' he was actually healed by the powers he had. Namor could've found him and he shows him the way to Wakanda! But by having him at the Ancestral plain they confirmed he's dead. 🤷♂️

I really like your commitment not to redeem Killmonger! Let's keep our villains villains. How about a "What If Thanos's dustings had been reversed?" That is to say, what would happen if the ones who turned to dust with Thanos's snap had instead been the ones to survive, and vice-versa? Would Endgame have played out differently if the other characters had been the ones trying to reverse the snap's effects? For one thing, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner wouldn't have been around to invent time travel, so even if Scott Lang's story had still worked out the same, who could he call on to make this time heist idea happen?
Still have Hank Pym and Steven Strange. Could introduce Reed Richards as well.
They have pym, Reed, Shuri, and Parker.

I imagine it would be a struggle for Pym, since he was still trying to get a better understanding of the Quantum Realm at that point. But Janet could probably help. None of them even knows of the existence of Reed Richards, though.
