This might be just recency bias and with everything going on with DC and Warner Bros but I truly think that Tyler is my favorite Superman just because how amazing he is and how great the show is. Like those final minutes when Clark is in space and ge powers up form the sun and his love for his family and that final shot at the end was so hype
Tyler is also my favorite superman 😄👍
@@dylancahill6522same
I felt like he was my favorite after season one aired, but two full seasons later I can stand behind that statement with complete confidence.
Didn’t finish season 1, but the positive reactions make me want to dive back into it! Its rare for a CW DC show to have 3 solid starting seasons.
Season 1 is worth it. From Season 2 on the Sub Plots get realy annoying but the Superman Storylines get pretty good. Its a pretty weird watch cause 50% is awesome and 50% is Trash.
This season was such a massive step up from season 2. I’m so glad I gave it another chance.
Did not like season 2. That was a let down
What?? Season 2 was awesome.
I love this season and the fact that this show Superman and Lois went with a very mature heavy subject matter with cancer plotline with Clark and Lois on this show was pure genius and such a amazing story in my opinion and the fact they handle this story the right way is amazing at least in my opinion, also another bonus adding in lex luthor on this show is pure genius i love it so much that I am very excited for season 4 it's going to be really awesome and tons of fun at least in my opinion.
I loved Season 3, it’s a step up from last season, and the story and characters were compelling to me from beginning to end! I can’t wait for Season 4!
Well that’s good. Cause season 2 was a downgrade for me.
@@ultimateslinger9857 It definitely was, especially because they focused on that whole Teenage Drama BS. Season 3 has also annoying SubPlots but they realy deliver with the Superman Storyline, so its part Awesome and part Shit.
This is one of my all time favorite Superhero seasons. There are seasons of other shows that have better action etc, but this season felt so real and grounded(even the crazy stuff like Pias Powers etc) and I loved that. It was a very smart way to deal with budget cuts and still deliver an emotional story on all fronts. (Like I still sometimes enjoyed Flash in the later seasons, but they often tried CGI stuff that was way to expensive for the budget that they had and the drama they did do was mostly not great)
It was great to see two actors from The Walking Dead come back to TV and have a huge role in this show, liked this season a lot especially that final shot at the very end.
Oh dang! I didn’t realize until reading this comment that Tyrese was in the show. I knew Abraham was but was like “Wait who’s the other” then remembered the Tyrese actor. They both were very good.
I love this season and how it handles the canacer storyline and portraying it in a very realistic away. It shows the strenght of superman in his goodness. The doomsday fight was awesome. I'll be honest watching this cancer storyline and it made you realize just how tough cancer can get between married couples. My dad had cancer like a few years ago watching this season brought up so many memories of that
Damn sorry to hear that bro. Hope everything is ok now with your dad and fam 👍 I myself had cancer when I was three up til I was four. Histiocytosis. I don’t remember much but my parents tell me constantly how scared they were for me. It was more taxing for them, so I get what you said completely.
@@NinthShinigami everything is good now. Thanks man
I liked season 3 a good bit, I was very frusterated with season 2. Season 3 was a pretty solid season!
I did find the structure of the season to be a bit odd. The stuff with Lex Luthor felt like the epilogue to season 3, not the finale to season 3.
When you combine the final two episodes of this season with the short run 10 they got renewed for they have almost the same number of episodes to wrap up the Luthor story as they had to wrap up the Mannheim story with a slightly larger budget for those two episodes. So maybe instead of season 3 and 4 it's more like season 3pt1 and 3pt2.
I think that’s exactly why they did it like this
Unfortunately, CW doesn't want to expensive TV like S&L anymore and they're gonna focus the network more on cheap reality TV from next year onwards, which also meant that all of the supporting cast of this show has been cut down to only S&L and their two kids. I really think they were going for their version of a Reign of the Supermen story next season as they've already done Eradicator, Steel and next season would've had Superboy go full swing because Superman wouldn't be around. But the Steel actor, Wolé Parks, is being cut from the cast due to the budget cuts and for the same reason, Tal Rho probably won't return as well (or at least, they won't be in S4 as much as they initially planned them to be). These budget cuts really came at the wrong time as I think this wouldn't have affected S3's plot as much as it will in S4.
The ending was weird but it was so damn cool seeing the final fight and the cgi was pretty good for a CW show
Episodes Ranked
13: Collision Course (Lois tries to crack one of her old cases)
12: Head On (Lois goes to Bruno’s jail to investigate)
11: Forever and Always (Peia beats cancer because of Bruno)
10: The Dress (Lois doesn’t wear a dress because of her cancer)
9: Of Sound Mind (The assassin’s identity is revealed)
8: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (Our heroes plot to defeat Bruno)
7: Closer (Superman fails to fight an evil assassin)
6: In Cold Blood (Clark has nightmares about Lois)
5: Injustice (Lex Luthor escapes and begins his reign of power)
4: Complications (Lois gets a life changing cancer surgery)
3: Too Close To Home (John Henry gets kidnapped)
2: Uncontrollable Forces (Lois discovers she has cancer)
1: What Kills You… (Superman fights Doomsday during the meteor shower)
The Best Season Ever I Love Season 3 Of Superman & Lois 💯💯🔥🔥🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
This season was much better than last season imo I really really loved the storyline with lois, thank you for this video so glad that you are still watching the show ❤
I think with this version of lex they were almost going for a netflix kingpin vibe. It’s pretty cool so far though
I feel like one of the only people who really felt like it was really lacking in Superman stuff and it felt more like how the flash became more about the side characters than Superman himself. I understand it’s Superman AND Lois but I didn’t feel like there was enough Superman.
Yh agreed
They probably already knew that they would get even less episodes next seasons than this season, but they needed around 12 episodes for this Lex and Doomsday storyarc, but could do the Intergang storyline in 10. You also can't switch them since one leads into the other. So they just started the story arc earlier.
Reminds a bit of how the show the Expanse is structured. It's a book adaption and they knew that 10eps were not enough to introduce everyone(+ a few additional storylines) and tell the whole Book 1. So they ended the season about 2/3 through Book 1 and the first 5 eps of Season 2 were the rest of that adaption. That meant that Book 2 was the rest of season 2 and the first 6 of season 3. (they managed to stay 1 season per Book after that)
completely get all of your points about this season. its funny, cuz my main complaints of the first 2 seasons was that the season ran too long, with it's 15 episodes. But this season actually felt abit too short, especially introducing Lex really late into the season. The way how i see it is that the last 2 episodes of this season, are basically the teaser for s4, which the prospect of s4 is interesting, because of the budget cuts, and how they have to weave in those actors leaving, and make it make sense, storywise.
however s3 overall, was fantastic to me, and the most emotional season of the show. it also further establishes that bitsie tulloch and tyler hoechlin are the best lois and clark out there. so as long as they are in the show, i'm game.
plus, that cliffhanger really makes me want season 4 now!
I watch the seasons when they drop on max. I've been enjoying the show, agree with you about season 2 being not as good, but glad to hear they step up in season 3. Surprised and happy to hear they got renewed for season 4
They kinda built the tension with Luthor as the big bad with them finding out the Manheims framed Luthor for Moxie’s murder and Peia saying there’s no one she fears other than Luthor even though she has powers to easily kill him. Luthor’s mind and resources is something you want to avoid.
I think there’s two reasons for how the season ended-1 season 3 was 13 episodes instead of 15-2. Negotiating has been going on for longer than we know and season 4 is 10 episodes. These two episodes allow for a longer arc for season 4.
I have been anticipating this video
They probably didn’t know if they would get a season 4, and wanted to do Lex and doomsday before the end.
This show is pretty awesome and I love every main character character (except for maybe jordan)
I think they did that to prevent a possible cancelation, they left everything on a massive cliffhanger in the hopes they'll be renewed for a final season
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion- but I MUST disagree with your opinion that a cliff hanger revealing Lex got out of prison would be more interesting than what they actually did in Superman fighting doomsday ON THE MOON as a result of Lex’s plan trying to kill him. I think fans of marvel have gotten used to cliffhangers meant to hype up certain characters, that a lot of the time, do not meet the hype at all. Superman and Lois took a different approach in not falling flat on it’s face and doing the most it could with the budget and time constraints provided in order to retell a comic book story in an engaging and unique way. I wouldn’t care about them showing a shadow figure of Lex in Superman and Lois more than they already did in the first episode of the show. But I would care about them showing me a Lex that makes threats to Lois and her family in their face, takes ownership of a prison while being held captive, and becomes a mercenary to bizzaro in order to create doomsday. That’s the DC I love.
I like your Noelle pfp 🔥 Black Clover is great imo 👍
@@NinthShinigami love me some bleach in your pfp 💪
I guess my point is that it's weird to start a new story with 2 episodes left. Resolving this seasons conflict introduced a new conflict...Luthor being released. SO you end on that cliffhanger because the end of season 3's story is the beginning of the Luthor story. So this felt like starting season 4 early.
It's not a Marlel teasing a character thing. It's a story thing.
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout true, I can definitely respect that feeling. But if you’ve heard the news with the mixups going on with CW’s renewal on seasons, the state of Superman and Lois’s season four is extremely unpredictable with the cast being cut into 25% of what it originally was just to meet the budget cuts. As a Superman fan, the only hope is to remain cautiously optimistic.
@@Josh-md1bc thank you bro 🙏
I don't know if the ending of this season was somehow influenced by the decision to cut the budget and cast for season 4
I think the way they ended season 3 was the writers and producers way of forcing cws hand to renew
I know nothing about the show nor have I seen it, but it sounds interesting. Glad that the fans of this show are enjoying it
Comics Doomsday isn't a character that works in a television medium. Smallville changed that character to be almost unrecognizable, Justice League used him sparingly, Krypton literally kept him on ice most of the time. This is probably the best possible use of him considering a realistic TV budget.
At first I thought Jordan was being dumb and it was forced cw drama, but when you think about it he isn't very loved at this point. Parents always away, brother busy with a job & when they do hang out its with other people as well, including Sara & I don't have to explain his problem there. So its understandable he would want to dive head first into the fame aspect of being a hero.
Honestly might be my favorite live action Superman project
Any plans on ranking the 3 seasons?
It was announced Season 4 is gonna cut all the side characters and lex is gonna be a regular along with the Kent's.
I really enjoyed the season and the story was great and it was great to see superman fight doomsday!
I feel like the the final two episodes were there to make sure they have a good budget for the next couple seasons.
I think it’s because they are closing out certain characters as not all of them will be returning for season 4
Better than any disney plus marvel show except maybe loki. I liked falcon and winter soldier too but this show is structured better as a tv show while still being an epic story.
I loved this season. It's the best season in my opinion by a lot
I agree, the last 2 episodes felt like the start of season 4
Damn might need ru check this out
Im so glad they do rely on name drops and cameos. Its "SUPER MAN AND LOIS" i really like this show.
Superman is very Best heroes than batman can rescue very fast around the word, a savior in earth and universe
great video
I think that in season 4 you can have doomsday handle superman. And have lois deal with Luthour
I honestly had problems sticking with season 3, the situation between Sarah and Jordan was very jarring, and I couldn't shake the disconnect with the character of John being entirely different actor. I get that the boy had his reasons for leaving the show, but it was just too jarring
Loved this season and I still got the last 3 episodes to watch.
Season 3 is really good! I like Jordan.
Season 3 was the best season yet. Amazing story line.
Btw this was a great return to form still some inconsistent plots like last season they didn't say lex was in jail this long also on the first season I could've sworn they said he was dead then this season they kept saying he was innocent yet there's a recording of him confessing so at least it was a contradiction
The confession was faked by the wife. That was definitely discussed.
Cool but we don't have cable now.
One of the best interpretations of Superman
I really hope superman doesn't die in the first few episode of season 4. Maybe at the end since season 4 is the last season.
happy this show didn't go bad like all the rest of the CW shows.
Better than the movies 😅
This take on Lex Luthor is interesting; I don’t know if I like it yet.
They must be listening cause it's supposed to be ten episodes for season 4
I think season 4 will be “the reign of the supermen”. Which is why this 3rd season final felt rushed
I miss Jordan Elsass us Best acting as Jonathan Kent
Steel wouldn't be a regular next season so it would've been hard to do a reign of superman
Which goes back to all of this being odd. They picked a strange way to do it. They literally have one of the key characters from the followup to the doomsday fight on the show...and he's not a regularly next season.
I loved season 3, I loved every season but season 3 is the best season as far as I’m
Concerned, the thing I’ve always liked about this show is it’s a family drama at its core first & a superhero show second, when the writing is good the super hero aspect isn’t missed, like in episode 7 Superman wasn’t in a single second of the episode & I didn’t miss him cause the writing & story was so good.
This show makes Superman look like a Supersimp
It’s called the CW season 4 curse for a reason
CINEMA
There were a lot of amazing things about the season, but it’s got to get away from the CW. Because it definitely CW’ed in a few spots throughout the season where more mature writing would be able to handle the teenager cringe fest better.
It gets so lazy and cliché when it’s all about them constantly misunderstanding each other and not being resolved.
Everything with Superman and Lois Lane was fantastic and Tyler’s Superman scenes were absolutely incredible!!! Not to mention his amazing portrayal of Clark as a family man.
I was most annoyed with these 4 things.
1. Jordan was training in the fortress for half the season and I feel a massive opportunity was lost not to continue training and help people to wear he was awarded his own real superman suit in the new fortress along with THAT F*CKING HAIRCUT HE SHOULD’VE GOTTEN WHEN HIS GRANDFATHER TOOK HIM TO THE DAMN BARBER!!!
2. They need to start giving John his powers now.
In the comics he has powers and I’m not saying one has to be evil and one has to be good, but the decision for John to still not have his powers at all, at this point, has put the writers in a tough spot because they don’t know what to do with him.
3. Absolutely stop with Jordan and Sarah not ever understanding each other.
The writers had absolutely no idea how to make that work and they’re the ones putting the two together all the time whether they’re actually together or not.
It’s a cycle that never actually resolves itself and
it’s so lazy and cliché.
4. Tired and cliché over the top villain performances.
Aside from the entire cancers story and the villains involved in that scenario, most of the villains, most of the time, act, talk, and demonstrate almost the exact same demeanor and mannerisms as the next. It’s hard for me to take any of them seriously because I can already predict how they’re gonna look, move, and speak.
It’s almost as if they purposely had a three point checklist of how every villain is supposed to act in the series.
The show is good for what it is but it has the potential to be absolutely amazing all the way through. The writers just need to leave their CW thinking caps at home.
Here’s to hoping that they can iron out those cleats and not CW all over the place.
I still have a soft spot for season 1 but this is the best season in the show
Loved it!!! Somehow Arrowverse needs to continue!!!
the cliffhanger made me mad
Does everyone like the new Jon Kent? I think he is great but not as cute looking. Do I think it is an improvement from season 2? Yes. Do I think it's an improvement from season 1? No, not as compelling and that's okay. I'm also not sure about the new Lex Luthor. After all, wouldn't he be the same actor from Arrowverse? Since, this is a spinoff shiw from that. I think the producers just wanted 13 episodes. They wanted to get to 13 and they didn't care how. It's lazy and sloppy and I don't get why they do that but that is the modern day hollywood today.
See i wasnt going to watch this know interested this series
Superman and lois is my favorite show!! (didn't even mind season 2, still the worst season though, but still not that bad)
This season was perfect to bad jordan gonna get recast
I actually saw Jordan Elsass last night at a press screening. He lives in the Austin area, and I've seen him at a couple press screenings.
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout yea apparently he can’t make it Canada or something for next season
@@michaelatkins3384what do you mean? He was already recast. Are you referring to the character Jordan or the actor Jordan Elsass that previously played Jonathan in seasons 1-2.
@@arfhat89 the actor the one with no powers
I thought season 3 was a huge drag. Every episode was 80% sad Lois cancer crap.
Skip the all the episodes except the last 2.this season was awful
I found this season to be the worst of all of them. It felt like there was such a decrease in quality of writing and the show was turned into such soap opera that it was difficult to get through. Last two episodes are what was the saving grace for me and while it was a strange way to end it, I like the set-up. And man, with most of the actors not returning, I am hoping that this season is
much less of that.
Agreed. Every episode was 80% sad Lois cancer crap. I would watch old lady soap operas if I wanted to see that.
your point was redundant af, review what you watched. not repeat over and over about the pacing.
Point taken
I didn’t like season 3, I had to abandon the show. I didn’t like how they portrayed Lex Luthor. I agree Jordan is a very annoying character.
Was the best season, arguably. Also the jordan character makes especially with the mental issues he has.
Both Jordan and Sarah were meant to be annoying this season since they clearly kept making poor decisions and needed to be set straight by their parents. It’s different than making an annoying character and then rewarding them in the show for their behavior like how the Flash show has done with Iris.
first season gave me hope
but it went down the hill with stupid plots that had so many holes, and then season 3 cancer gimmick to draw more viewers.
that bull crap of its not fair to use kryptonian technology to save Lois.
not to mention all this feminist ideologies been written in the show.
as well as having the little millennial 90% of the time been right on how they speak, argue and behave towards parents and other adults.
the adults most of the time being at fault and corrected by this kids.
BS
and pleeeease don't get me started on the inconsistency on how this Superman is handling villains and scenarios.
this is a SEASONED superman. he should know better.
I guess in this earth he is STUPIDMAN
INCONSISTENT! INCONSISTENT! INCONSISTENT!
This season was great.... more or less character delvopment and yea.... we kinda felt more of Smallville this season which I liked
12:04.... 14:12.... 15:09.. they probably did that underneath the belly of uncertanty if seaseon 4 was going to happen
Yeah I'm not gonna watch it and I'm definitely never gonna watch another review by you. I'm not gonna watch Superman to To know how cancer affects a family. And it's something that's actually very treatable nowadays so you're making it seem like it's way worse than it actually is yes it sucks but considering it's treatable at this point you're making a bigger deal and it should be go do some research and I can see why your channel doesn't have a lot of views I can see why you don't have a lot of subscribers. You're pushing the woke bull crap and nobody wants to hear about it
Haha
First off, 20,000 subs is not a small number. If you have over 10,000 subs you're in the top 10% of RUclips channels.
Second, this is my second channel. My main channel has 270,000 subs. That's the top 1% of RUclips channels.
Third, if you think I'm pushing "woke bull crap," that's a YOU problem. I'm a libertarian in Texas. If you watch my videos and your take away is that I push some sort of woke agenda, that means you've gone WAAAAAY too far down a rabbit hole where you're on a witch hunt.
This is a review about a season of television which you apparently haven't watched. And you think I'm push wokeness because I thought a plotline about cancer worked. That's weird.
They kinda built the tension with Luthor as the big bad with them finding out the Manheims framed Luthor for Moxie’s murder and Peia saying there’s no one she fears other than Luthor even though she has powers to easily kill him. Luthor’s mind and resources is something you want to avoid.
