Hey Steve, let me start out by saying....Thank You for all that you do. Your videos, whether its a install how to or product reviews I ALWAYS come here first when I'm doing anything on my bike or about to buy something for it. I know that you've probably been asked this a million times already but what kind of lift table and jack do you use? There are soooooo many out there its hard to know what's good and I really value your opinion. Thank You for your time!
All of your videos are great and straight to the point. This one was right on time because I’m getting ready to add some new wheels on my bike. Thanks again
Those look awesome on your bike. Thanks for the video. You and a few other RUclipsrs have increased my confidence, and allowed me to do more of the maintenance and repairs on my bike.
Hi Steve.. great vids... this is where I come for instruction for my Ultra Limited. Time to change rear tire. Is there a reason why i would NOT remove the two rear shock bolts to allow the swing arm to drop further. I think it would make some of this easier... thanks again!
love these wheels. i’m currently running the advan black 19 inch wrap around fender. if i go 21 inch wheel on the front will this fender work or do i need to upgrade to the 21 inch fender as well? great channel !
Hey Steve I'm thinking about buy another bike probably a road glide, when rebuilding whats the best way to start from the bottom and work up or from the top down

bike looks great. i,m lookin for wheel sets 2020 EG standard its already a lil tall for me.If I add the 18 21 combo will that leave me room for a lowering kit if I need it? and thanks for the videos and your time!!
Thanks Cody! If you ever plan on running air ride or lowering your bike I would stay with the 16 rear. An 18 doesn't leave much room for clearance with a lowering kit.,..one good pot hole and your seat bolt nut will be in your tire.
Steve, thanks a bunch for the detailed instructions on wheel removal and installation. I intend to do the same wheel conversion on my 09 road king classic (21" front & 18" rear). Once installed, will my rear wheel bottom-out when I haul a passenger or do I need to have different air shocks to off-set the weight? I wouldn't want the rear to blow-out or bend the rear rim when hitting a bump while riding two-up. Thanks for your advice and informative videos. I value your vids; they are my go-to if there's anything I need to know about my ride. You do an excellent job pointing out the pros/cons of any bike modifications. I'm still undecided whether to get DNA's Rise wheels or DNA's fat spoked wheels. Do you have any preference over which type wheels? Have a fine week and ride safe. 👍🏽🤠 6/8/23
Yes...alittle update on that 18 inch rear wheel..I do not suggest it if you are running 2 up...I am 2up 100% of the time and I have since ordered new wheels from Sinister wheels and switched back to the OEM 16" ...the 18 leaves very little clearance for anything bigger than a mild bump in the road. I hope this helps! new video on the Sinister wheels will be out soon!
@@sikbaggers Thanks Steve. Great advice. I'll go with a 21 inch for the front and my OEM 16 inch for the rear. You just saved me money and possibly some serious grief. As mentioned, I value your advice. I look forward to your Sinister wheel video and hope you remember to address the rear wheel clearance issue for bikers who ride 2-up. Again, thanks a bunch and sure do appreciate you taking the time to respond.👍🏼🤠 6/10/23
When you are changing wheels and going to a bigger wheel and tire size do you have to do something with the ECM To keep your traction control and ABS working? I appreciate your videos.
Thank you! I've changed to 21 and 23's in the past but never changed anything. The sensor is on the wheel bearing which is the same, no matter what size you put on the bike.
Hey Steve, awesome video. I have an 11 RG and I was thinking of going from the stock wheel to a 23” wheel. Am I able to just slap that on or do I need to get some aftermarket trees for that. Also, will I need to change my rear wheel?
Hey awesome man...that will be great but yes you will need to rake your bike to do a 23...you can only do 21 with no rake. They do make bolt on neck kits for 23's and larger but they are pricey so be prepared. You do not have to change your rear wheel..the front rake will lay the bike out at optimal ride height for you with a factory 16 or 18 on the rear.
For 2013 and older bikes you can run the stock fender without risers but you will need to woller out the rear holes a little with a file and tilt the fender.
Steve, you pay attention to details when others don't, or just blow off those details. Not quality in my book at all. This a hats you a pleasure to watch, because you take the time for the details to help bike work come out right.👍! Doug⭐⭐⭐🏍️🤓🐻😁

Steve, great content. Question regarding the Rise Wheels. I am thinking about purchasing front and rear. The Rise is marketed by DNA and Mototek. I believe they are same company. How have they held up since install? Any issues with the Chrome plating?
lots of people run that combo and the jiffy stand can handle it...it won't break...if it bothers you the only real thing you can do is lower your front end an inch..use a kit like the progressive one-inch lowering drop-in cartridges.
Awesome video! I have a 2012 Roadglide that I’m considering putting a 21 inch chrome wheel package (21 &18) how much if any is the handling change or should i stay with stock? I think 21 “ would set my bike apart! Your wheels look Amazing!!🔥
After doing the 18 I switched it back to a 16 with the Sinister wheels that I have a video on. Nothing wrong with these wheels but I liked the sinister wheels better and chrome was much more clean. I've ran a 21 for years on this bike with a stock 16 on the rear with no handling issues..its not necessary to do a 18 because you do a 21 front and its also not necessary to drop the front end one inch for a 21 either. just do the 21 and stick to the 16 rear, its cheaper and the tires are cheaper too.
Looks awesome. I’ve chromed up my ‘20 FLHTK, Silver pine and spruce color, definitely want to do wheels, rotors, calipers up front, and white wall rubber.
Have you ever installed an extended brake pedal, with lower fairing installed?I think it will fit. However was curious if you have any experience with this.
Hello. Im sorry im going to sound dumb, but here it goes.. I was thinking about ordering those same wheel, but im so nervous about ordering them. Im trying to get the fart front tire done. I know nothing about this or what i need to look out for buying the wheel. ive heard people ordering the wrong things, or lacking.. now i know and love your videos, but i know theres a difference between 14, and 17 models. i have a 17 road glide special. in short. Do you recommend this same company for wheels for my bike?
Yes they make a great wheel...If you are looking for the fat tire set up it would be the same from 14 to 22...pretty sure 23 as well. The only thing you need to know when ordering your wheels is if the bike has ABS or not...that will change the bearing setup on the wheel. 2013 and older bikes will have a different axle...but 14 to 23 you are good to look at wheels for any of those years.
Good video but im running into problems, I got a 08 street glide that I'm trying to get a 21" wheel on. First problem was fender rubbing on the fender but I bought a fender riser to give me clearance but the big problem is the right brake caliper went on fine but the left side(bolt side) is no enough room to get the caliper to the screw position. I loosen the axle bolt which allowed clearance and the caliper went in place but when I tighten the axle bolt it trapped the rotor, wheel will not free roll like it does when the caliper is off. Feels as though the brake is always engaged. Mostly in the outside brake pad......have you experienced this issue? Any ideas on how make that work?
Hey Steve love the videos and thank you! I noticed you used Harleys rotor bolts. Are the DNA bolts not good? Also what brake pads do you use with the new rotors?
Good video. I just did a 21 on my front with matching rotors but I put new brake pads on mine. I thought with new rotors u need new pads as well. Maybe not but oh well they're on there now lol
I'm very upset with DNA products. Just built a 2006 Softail Deuce with a 250mm tire kit. Upgraded the motor with big cc's and layed down an awesome flake black paint. I purchase a new chrome DNA rear socket 70 tooth by 1 1/8 and 7 months later I see signs of corrosion and the chrome not looking that great. I paid $200 for the sprocket. Steve will you give an honest update about the wear of those wheels? I'd be interested in that kind of report. The wheels look great on the Street Glide.
I'm hearing bad things about DNA wheels. Is it only spoked rims having QA problems or is it also forged wheels. Wanting to go fat tire in front of 23 cvo roadglide but am leary of what I've read about them. Should I pass on them?
Hello Steve, I'm new to your channel. Great work and Thank you for your detailed explanations and the excellent attention to detail for us new Harley Davidson owners. Thank you!! I have a question concerning rear wheel I know the wheel is 16" on the back Will you be concerned with the ride from an 18" wheel and will that effect the rear air ride stance at all? also the wheels look killer on your Street Glide....
sorry for the late reply been down with the flu...the taller wheel has a shorter tire on it so its really only raising it about an inch so im not worried about that...the bike has handled just fine. of course you will have to be aware of it sitting higher so you cannot run as low in the rear or you will bottom out on the fender if you hit a big enough bump in the road.
So I have SMT21 and 18 in the back I can get those Chrome spacers from Harley I do have some spacers that I bought from JP cycles they're not quite the aluminum look but they're not the shiny Chrome look either I like the ones you have better so I can go to Harley and get those and they'll fit my 21SMT rims

Not to sound like a a**hole, but I noticed your Harley dealer mounted one of your tires backwards. Those rims are unidirectional, and the veins on the front are opposite of the rear. Don't know if you were aware, or even care. Lol. Just my ocd kicking in. 🤪

If not, I guess with the bags noone will see. However, judging by your comment that you noticed, I am sure you will make them correct it. 😆
@@sikbaggers they are actually on correct. The forces applied to the front vs rear tire are opposite. Where the rear is a forward motion they are mounted in that direction. The rear tread looks like its reversed by its stated on the side of the tire. The forces applied on the front tire are in the opposite direction. You are moving forward while your tire is, if you could imagine moving backwards. That is what makes you stop. Its the equal and opposite force. Plenty of articles on it. Lean angles also have effect on the tires. Hopefully I was clear in shedding light on the subject. Also I love your channel. I came from street bikes and just bought a 22' SG standard. Going with alot of advan and ciro products. Keep up the great work.

These rims are too expensive I can but 4 wheels for my truck for the price they want for one wheel give me a break
Apparently, you have never priced new rims for your motorcycle .... You are comparing apples to oranges my friend. Supply and demand. Fewer motorcycles than cars, and production is smaller and more expensive. Welcome to the world of customizing your sled. You are about to be really disappointed.
You’re Not covering if you have ABS! And the bearing difference! 🏍💨🏍💨
Why didn't you get the rear pulley to match?? SMH...
because you didn't send me the money....SMH.... you ever think maybe everyone can't afford the rear pully and the wheels at the same time? I bet you shake your head a lot since you talk before thinking.
You have a beautiful bike.
Thank you!
@@sikbaggers I have a question I have a Harley-Davidson Softail classic and it has spoke the rims it has tubes would you recommend me buying a Spoke Rim that's tubeless I feel very uneasy driving it especially a long haul because if I have a flat I feel I'm kind of screwed I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this.
Or would you just convert the actual spoke rim into tubeless.
