Perfect. Just the info I needed. Who ever left a thumbs down is truly a negative spiteful person, this is a very well done professional video. Can’t be more clear or better done. AWSOME. Thanks again😊👍🏼
Dude I just looked at a 2012 rk classic in Reno and it had a 21" dna mammoth front wheel. The freakin paint was bubbled right where you said. There was a kick ass lookin one on American Motorcycle Trading Company's yt vid and the salesman pointed out the same thing on a rkc with a 21" wheel and same exact bubbling. The salesman didn't say what it was from. Well done video. Many thanks.
Just put a 21” on my 2003 Road King. This video saved me a lot of hassle and disappointment. Worked like a charm. Just have to remember to tilt that fender forward during future maintenance if I take it off.
Thank you for this informative video. I'm sure you even asked this a hundred times but could you tell me the style of the 21" wheel, the rotors, and where I might be able to purchase them for my 2015 Road Glide? Thank you
Great video! I'll be doing this on my 2012 RGU in the next week when my 21x3.5 wheel gets in. I'm trying to figure out what tire size to run so I don't rub. In the video are you using a 120/70-21 or 130/60-21? Thanks
I own a 2002 fxst softail custom with the 21 " front wheel. The custom like mine came factory with a fatboy 16" inch wheel (solid wheel on the rear) I am wanting to put a fat boy 16" inch wheel on the front. Im trying to find out if I need new spacers and a shaft to do this
Just drilled out my fender mounting holes 3/8", Tilted it, and put a 21" wheel/tire on my 09 Streetglide. I had a question about fender to tire spacing so I did like Robert said and called HCC customer service. Even though they still have the video on their website customer service (?) said they no longer support that or have any information about doing that swap?? So if you do this you are on your own.
So you take off the fender to drill out the holes on the forks to a larger diameter to give it play and adjustability? Also the only reason I haven’t done it on my streetglide is because I’m afraid if I get a blow out when I’m fat from home that I won’t be able to get a replacement 21 inch tire at a nearby Harley dealership. Do they carry them?
Great video and a perfect example, its common nowadays to run a 21" in the front even on a bagger such as your example, but its also a common topic of discussion regarding performance and stability of running a 21" front wheel and potentials for decreased performance and the feared death wobble. What are your thoughts on this?
I’ll just bring my bike to y’all. Ha. I’m in New Braunfels. Probably also to have 10” apes installed as well. On my ‘09 Street Glide, what’s the biggest wheel I can go with? I’m looking at a 19”
Do you recommend a lowering kit on the rear to help with handling when you bring the front up? Great video! It's nice to see someone do them this well!
@@onOnewheel_jay Big help! I just retired and am finally getting to this in the next couple of weeks. I appreciate the info. I assume air shocks but what / where to source?
I have a 2002 Road King want to install a 21 inch wheel I always thought I had to rake it or bolt on kit but a shop told me the same method you showed so if they do it correctly I shouldn’t get no fender rub ? And how is the handling will it make a difference in a negative way?

great fender mod tip. what tire did you install? i realize it's been a while since the vid but want to make sure the fender mod will work with a 130 / 60. thanks again for the tip
Hi great video. I have a 1998 road king I want to put a 21" dual disk wheel on my bike but I'm having a hard time finding one and I was told I would need different spacers do I buy the rim rated for a 2000 model if you could give me some kind of info that would be great thanks

My buddy has a 03 ultra classic non abs with a 21 in wheel and hes talking about trading the bike in and selling me the wheel will the wheel fit my 08 street glide with abs if i change out the bearings
I know this video is a few years old, but wondering if maybe you could help me with an additional question. I've recently ordered 21"from wheel and an 18" rear wheel for my 2005 Road King Classic. (Upgrading from stock 16x3 front/rear). What size tires should I get that would be similar in overall size?
AWESOME VIDEO... I'm doing plenty o up grades on a 98 road king. i need al the help i can get!!!!!!!! every bolt i take off results in more parts i need lol. but my 21 inch spoke wheel i orders came with spacers. I'm not sure which way to install them.. help[?

Good evening sir, I have a 16" FLHTK, I had a Colorado Custom 21" 18" Combo, which did not work very well as the front wheel was out of whack... The micrometer showed variations from 4.040 - 4.069 in various spots on the front wheel and handling was a nightmare.... What are your thoughts on this setup providing maybe another vendor.... Thanks in advance!!

Got my 21" wheel installed on my road glide last weekend! It's hard to right on the freeway though, feels unstable at highway speeds, like it wobbles. Doesn't feel smooth like the factory wheel. Could this be a balance issue on the front wheel?
I have a 2006 street glide and putting 21 wheel on but seems like the right side spacer has a gap compared to the left side.. any advice greatly appreciated
The video was great, but one thing, you mention to tighten the front pinch bolts to a torque 130+ and The dealership said these are only about 20 lbs. I snapped one and could not see how you would torque it more than 50 before doing that again. otherwise It was a very helpful video and I give it 2 thumbs up
I think the editor might have confused inch pounds and foot pounds. 130in/lbs is about 11 ft/lbs. But since he used an impact gun for "torque to 50-55 foot pounds", I'm disinclined to follow his exact procedure even though the video is helpful.
When I did this install I must have done something wrong because I had to get a bunch of shims when I tighten my forks at the end my pads were rubbing real bad on my calipers and I had to spend hours trying to shim it out. ?
Will this work just fine for a 2011 Softail deluxe. Waiting on the fenders to be finished up with custom paint job before installing. Concerned the fender will be too low now that I have the wheel/tire here. It is a 21 3.5. Thank you
One Question , do i need to cut off the stud/bolt that holds the extra decorative chrome bumper on the ultra classic fender? I'm afraid that stud will rub but can't find any info, seems everyone removes that extra chrome fender bumper, but i don't see any thing about the remaining stud. Thank you so much for this video brother. Got it all done, just waiting for the wheel to show up.
I had harley put on a 21” on my Street Glide they used risers and dented my fender when I hit a pothole, very disappointed they did not know about the dent on my obsolete painted fender
+Jeff Martin any touring model (except CVO ) from 2013 and older will take on a 21” wheel just fine. Fender brackets will raise the fender too much and dent the fender like you have seen, CVO models require special brackets.
