Man those wheels make a huge difference on the looks of that bike!!!
Thanks TJ...seems like I waited forever to get them knowing it would change it drastically ...now moving on the front end.
Just bought a 2003 softail with a numbered paint job with only 14k ml on it so I can do what you are doing as a winter project. am a older disabled vet so most if not all this work will be done at the dealership but at least I will know what they are doing because of your example. love the work you do and the great advice you give. great video and thanks.
First off thank you from one vet to another for your service! And thats awesome man...this bike is turning out pretty cool...I hope yours does as well!
What a great video! Nice to see someone understand and utilize torque wrenches. I am surprised by the amount of folks that don’t use them.
Thanks for checking it out Jason! Much appreciated sir!
Steve, I believe your channel provides some of if not the best instructional videos available. I like the way you include torque specs on nearly every bolt. The new rims and tires really make that softail stand out. Good stuff here.
Thank you David! Much appreciated for your support man! Lots more to come!
@@sikbaggers great video can you please let me know what spacers you got
@DENNIS SCOTT Bite me.
I love these softail videos. I have a Deluxe and I'm getting a really big shopping list.
Hey Scott...thanks for checking them out man...the bike still has a lot to be done to it...we'll be moving up to the front end next. I appreciate you
Your how to videos are excellent. I like the way you go through and explain the steps.my next project is going to be putting my panhead motor and tranny in a new rigid frame with the DNA fat spoke and new springer.I will be looking forward to your how to videos cuz I want this scooter done right. Thak you.
Your tutorials are the best, clear and concise and very informative. You blokes in the US know how to customise a bike. Nice one matey.
Thank you sir and thank you for checking out the videos...much appreciated! Cheers!
Damn, that's a night and day difference look! Wheels look awesome. I just bought a set of these (but in black) for my black and chrome 2016 Road Glide Special. Can't wait to get them installed! Great video!😁👍
Thanks for checking it out Mark! Love the wheels..had a small issue with the reatr offset but DNA is making it right...details in an upcoming video.
Spokes and chrome…diggin it ! Great video . That is a really great look.
Them fat spokes changed the bike for sure...lots more chrome coming!
Steve, thanks for the video. I'm doing a similar build on my 18 FLHC and some blacked out DNA wheels would be killer.
Thank you Jason! Yes sir the dna fat spokes are killer ...I have a buddy that has his in black on his SG...and its tight!
Really appreciate the video, you explained important procedures to install correctly
Thank you for checking it out Manuel! Im glad that it helped you!

@@sikbaggers Hi one question where did you get fender raiser can't find them anywhere?Would appreciate it if you could help thank really enjoyed your videos.
I love what this channel does and gives me all sorts of confidence to do my road king. Love the rims but my only questions is will that 21 ride differently from the stock, considering changing mine.
Firstly thank you for the kind words...much appreciated and glad they are helping...Anytime you change a wheel size it will effect the way something rides..now that being said going to a 21 is a very minimal change...just enough you will notice but not enough that you cannot ride anymore. We go from 19's to 26's on a lot of the bagger models and its still very ridable...the first time you ride it, its slightly noticeable because its a change..but the second time you ride it itll feel like its always been there.
What an awesome detailed video!
Thank you Steve!
Gr8 video..lots of information. Thanks..
Dude! That chrome wheel with the whitewall is sweet. That'll be a nice replacement for my 01 RK spokes with whitewall. Nice work brother
Thank you Michael! Ive been waiting on those wheels and spacers for ever lol I knew it change the overall look of the bike once I got them on.
It’s really good work bro. So can I ask you question please? What is best tires for the DNA fat spokes and what size are the tires? Thanks 🙏
New to the channel. Really like the video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for checking out our videos man. Much appreciated...we have a lot of videos but if you have any questions I try to answer all comment here.

I love the video you do And how you explain it to us Step by step you do a very good job thank you and God bless I just so wish I could afford that air ride for my Harley-Davidson Softtail Standard
Thank you Damien...Im still on the fence about that air ride for this bike...I agree it is pretty pricey.
Hmmmm....Wow ! Incredible bike mechanic for sure ! Explains procedure with extreme knowledge ! Sure wished he was from masachusetts ! I would have him do the same thing to my bike !
Thank you Doug...glad the video helped and thank you for checking it out!
Just bought a 2013 softail definetly need those spokes
The fat spokes really make the softails look great! Thanks for checking it out!
I have those same wheel set up on my 15 road glide ...great product...just have a problem with brake squeal when the brakes get wet

Awesome video Steve! Like mentions in the video reach out to Ledsnbaggs for your spoke wheel setup. Several different color options available! Front an back or just the front! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks for the hook up Eddie! You made the ordering process painless as usual.
What size did u go with Steve I have the same model bike. Just want to make sure it fits. Did u say 18 x 3.5 or 5.5 in the rear. 21x3.5 for the front?
Great video. As always very helpful. Do you recall what size hex bit you used for the front rotor bolts? I started to use a 3/16 but was concerned that the bolt head was starting to strip when I torqued it down.
Torx T40
Another great video. Gonna look great when it's done. Just curious about that flannel though? Where'd you get that from?
Thanks man...yeah its getting there...have some front end work coming up next! The flannels are Dixxons. I have about 20 of them lol...once you get one you just keep buying more..I love them.
Were you saying that you can use the factory wheel spacer off the hun? Or do you recommend just buying the spacer kit from Harley? If so, what is the part number?
my friend, you are a cool dude, thank you for your work.
hey thank you and glad to help!
That looks awesome! What do you think running just a spoked front wheel on an ultra limited would look like?
Ive seen guys run just the front wheel in spoke...your bags hide most of your back wheel..I dont knock it..both wheels arent in everyones budget at one time. I will say the spoke wheels are tons less than a forged or billet wheel though...you would be surprised at the cost.
Great video
Great video broski!!

Had some spacers with a key notch on both the rotors and the spacers and was wondering what the where used for,I installed my front wheel and didn't notice them in the wrapping, they went on a 2000 flhr I figured they where for abs
Oh and great video
Great video - thank you!

Sorry for the late reply, I just got back from Sturgis but thank you for checking it out Robert!! Much appreciated!
Flush mount front axle really clean up the front,v twin makes a inexpensive one that work s
thought about it...I have flush mount son both baggers now..love them..maybe sometime down the road after we get the big stuff done.
Great video .. would you know what size rear fatspoke would go on an 07 Roadking FLHR currently has a 16 standard.. already has a 21 fat spoke front ?
thank you and you can do an 18 or a 16 on the rear...there is plenty of room.
Love the video
First of all. Thank you very much for your informative videos. I am a do it yourself guy and a little guidance goes a long way...
If I may ask a question,... Are the fender risers mandatory for the 21" wheel install?
Thanks!
Charles
Thank you Charles! So I added the risers just to raise it up some. I've seen people run it without them though.
Hey Steve great video. I'm also thinking of changing out my stock wheels on my 2017 Softail Deluxe FLSTN. The only thing I'm worried about is going with the 18" rear tire and keeping the factory fender. Is there enough room for an 18" tire on the factory fender? Also how wide can i go with an aftermarket tire? Thank you!
Hey Paul...thanks man...you will see here real son in a future video I went with another set of wheels and went back tot he 16. While there is plenty of room for the 18, the softail have a weird offset and it comes pretty close to the fender and while im positive it wont ever hit, I dont like it. I would just stick with the 16 rear and change the front to a 21. No need to change anything else that small of amount of change will not effect the way the bike handles..so no need to drop the front end after adding a 21.
good day. I am a fan of your content, you helped me with many tips for my softail deluxe 07. I have a question and I hope you can help me, I want to put a 21' rim but my question is if I have to necessarily change my rear wheel to 18'? Unfortunately I don't know how to speak English and I'm trying to understand your entire video.
No you can just keep the original wheel or size.
That drilling out also applies for 19inch factory fenders also?
Nice video! I heard you say that you placed a 21" rim/wheel on the front, but what size was the back?? you probably mentioned it in the video, but I'm pretty sure I missed it.
Thank you Marlow...I may have forgot to mention it to be honest...but I did do a 18 on the rear.
What wheel size did u do on rear and hub size? What hub did u use on the 21 front? I was told if u drill out front fender holes to 3/8 u dont hv to get the raise spacers for fender so it doesnt rub and bubble paint. Bike looks sik. Should hv my 03 heritage done this week. I got 21 3.5 frnt and 18 3.5 rear.
Yes you can drill them out,..I choose not too because I'll be selling this tin set very soon and I dont want the holes hollered out (coming soon video) And I got the 21 front and 18 rear with a low profile tire...that will come into play in a later video.
Hey Steve ,
What bars are those on that viscla?
What a a difference with those wheels looks great!
Hey Omar..right now are stock but I have 16" apes going on very soon...got all the cables, chrome perches, mirrors, grips etc coming up very soon! Wish I could have done it this week but ive been pretty busy so itll have to wait another week.
First off thank you for all your help with these videos. My question is I’m wanting to do a 26” spoke wheel in front but all I see is the bearing is 1” but the axle is 3/4 (per internet) is there a sleeve or new axle to get a 1” bearing wheel to fit my 2002 heritage classic flstci ???
No you just change the bearing to one with a 3/4 inside diameter.
26" is ridiculous tho
Hey you have the part number for the front wheel spacer from Harley ? Thanks
This was an excellent and informative video. Thank you for the cool work. I truly love that T shirt that says, I Void Warranties. Gotta love it!. Do you take in bikes to install wheels just as you've done here? I have a 2009 RK classic and it's beging to get a set of those DNA wheels. New SUBSCRIBER! 👍🏽🤠 7/13/22
Hey thank you! And thank you for checking it out...I do some i house stuff for locals around here but I dont take in a lot as its just me working
I recently did the DNA 55 spoke upgrade along with some chrome lowers etc. I didn't plan on dropping the bike as I like the added height for the corners., The problem I have is the jiffy sand needs to be extended, no one does a 1" extended for the 2008 heritage? Do you have any resources for extended versions of the kickstand?
Hey john..I sure dont man...I would check at the local HD, if you havent already..they have access to most after market parts from Tucker...if anyone has one tucker will have one
Dammm.... nice wheels .... Bike is looking good
Thank you Angel! Really changes the look of the bike for sure.
really much more beautiful🤩😍👍
Thank you Marco! Love them....really changed the way the bike looks.
I’ve been riding for 7 months and have a 2005 Deluxe, I looks way cleaner without that “hubcap”. It would look great if you could have one on each side though. Also would you say the fender riser is better than drilling the bolt hole larger and racking the fender forwards to fit the new wheel?
I agree with the hubcab...I really dont like it..but its really whatever look your going for..its classic heritage style. You can do that mod...I reallyt just wanted this build to be clean..and the cleanest way for me to do that was with the spacers...but yes that is an option for sure.
Amazing videos !! Hey I have a 883 iron H&D !! I whant to swap the pen wheels !! And o whant those Spoks which I order to my ride !! Thanks
Hey Gilbert..thanks for checking it out! These spoke wheels really change the looks of the bike!
Great video. I was nervous about removing tires and wheels now I have this video to refresh my memory. Thanks
Youre very welcome Robert! Pretty straight forward and youll do just fine! Glad the video helped!
Question, I have a 2009 softail deluxe and I’m thinking about putting the same wheels, do I have to put the fender riser?
well for a few bucks, I did...however if you read some comments here that were left there a few guys saying you don't and all you need to do is drill the fender mounting holes to a 3/8 hole you can mount it. I haven't tried it as I don't want to drill this tin set.
What a fantastic video, 🤟
sorry for the delay, catching up from our Sturgis trip..but thank you for checking it out! much appreciated and grateful to have helped.
do you have the information on where to purchase the chrome washers and bolts (for the pulley) and the chrome rotor bolts for the front and rear? DNA only offers stainless steel.
I got mine at HD
what tires did they come with ? how are they holding up ?
Hey boss. I love the channel. I got a DNA front wheel for my 96 road king and after I installed it I noticed the brake pads are pushing hard on the out side of the rotors and barely on the insides. I can’t get any wider spacers in there. I measured the space between the stock rotors and the space between the rotors on the DNA and the DNAs a 1/8 wider. How can I correct this? Thank you!
Hey chris...thank you man..much appreciated! if you are spaced out as far as you can there isnt much else you can do. I would contact DNA and tell them and have them make you a new wheel and get the offset correct.
How do I determine which size rotors to order for a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic?
11.5 inch but there is a difference on the bolt size so the front and rear are not the same..just the size.
What's the size of the wheel and tire for the rear?
Hey Steve, I am considering the same wheels for a 2014 road king. Do you have to lower the shocks to get this back to a stock stance and level? Also when going to larger wheels are you having to recalibrate the speedometer?
With the set up I used, no...I used a low profile rear tire. so it really only raises it a tad...and that wont through off your speedo by that much..not even noticeable really.
@@sikbaggers sounds good. Did you lower the suspension at all to even the stance back out?
Great video.
Thank you Brian!
Hey I have a 2015 heritage do you have to raise the front fender for the 21 inch tire ? Thanks
Had a few guys said they didnt raise it but I did....got a new cholo fender on it now so I already removed all that but it seemed there was platny of room in there to not raise it.
Good info, great video. Anyone ever tell you that you sound just like John Goodman ha
Listen, I have a 2007 wide glide a built 96. I have these rooms on my bike with Dana installation be the same as the softail installation and another thing. Do you have a video on your front end where it’s not so high in the front end
yeah installation of the front wheel is pretty similar across all touring and softail models. NOt sure what you mean on not so high in the front end?
I'm getting ready to do my new dna wheels. Can you reuse the pulley bolts?
For the price I would get new ones.
Are dna rims directional? I had my tire mounted and the valve to fill tire is on the clutch side, I have seen other on the throttle side. Plus my rim is marked left but arrow on tire will face backwards
not sure on that to be honest...give dna a call and they can help you better than I can
So, one question, is a moto brake system like a regular vehicle system? Do you need to take any caps off to allow pressure reduction when trying to compress calipers before reinstalling calipers onto the bike?
its virtually the same thing but its quite a bit smaller so thats how you can usually get away with not taking the caps off to push the cylinders back in...the system isnt under as much pressure as a car. That being said the HD Service manual says take it off....do most of us that do this every week take it off? Not usually.
Whats the part number for the front chrome wheel spacer? Everything I find online says they won't fit my bike? I have an 08 heritage
not sure just call HD and ask...they can look it up
How do you know what spacerw to get and use for a 21" rim.
How thick was the rim you used?
I have a 03 softail with a 21 x3.25 but unsure if i need the spacers 😅
whoever makes your wheel will either work with OEM spacers or they will provide you with the proper ones..99% of the time it will work with OEM spacers.
What tires did you go with?
Do you have a part # for the front spacers? I tried calling several Harley parts departments in my general area and none of them have been able to help me.
Thank you in advance
These are the ones my HD ordered.....its a spacer and a cover for the ABS spacer www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/Domed-Front-Wheel-Spacer-Kit/p/43300010 be sure to check under fitment to see if it fits your bike.
Steve, I got the 16 inch fat spoke from DNA for my street glide. I'm running into an issue where the valve stem is too close to the spoke and I can't find an adapter thin enough to fit. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

The front wheel are with the holes for a dual rotor set up. After putting it on the bike I noticed that the offset is different. Im a 1/4” off on the right side of the bike. In ur opinion do you think they sent the wrong wheel or can I just get a spacer kit to fix the problem ?
I had the same issue on the rear and even have another video on my channel about it. Sent it back 2 times and took about 2 months to finally get a wheel that had the correct offset.
@@sikbaggers thanks. I’ve been on the phone with them. I have to call back and talk to the tech department. Looks to me like the spacer would work it out but I’m guessing the wheel will have to be sent back. Thanks for the reply. Keep up the great work !

On a Softail if you drill fender mounting holes to 3/8 is all yoh need to do. Most times you don't even have to so they. Don't need fender risers to run a 21 on a Softail.

I love the chrome rotor
How many miles do they stay nice for
Thank you...chrome forks, cables, levers, perches, mirrors..all coming up...the parts are here and will be shot in the next few weeks. The polished rotors wont stay nice for long if you ride your bike...the insides do but not the part that pads ride on..its the nature of the beast. However it still looks better than the bare metal rotors even after the part the pads ride on get scratched.
I have the same set up with a 21" front and 18" rear on 2006 Heritage. I used the organic pads and mine are still beautiful. My buddy used the standard pads and they tore the heck out of the rotors almost instantly and they make a squeaking squealing noise when the brakes are applied and an occasional squeak while ridding. They say the organic pads don't have as much stopping power, but I have not noticed. Awesome video SIK Baggers! I wish this would have been available last year!! I made the mistake of putting the rear rotor on the front wheel not paying attention to the rotor bolt hole size as they are different. I had to buy another set of rotor bolts. LOL.
