Looking good ..love the fat spokes. I always enjoy watching the videos from people changing up their bikes it helps us with the details to avoid problems and see the finished look, enjoyed the video.
Looks good but I wish you would’ve shown a picture of the entire bike with the new rims on it. Instead of just showing that your front rim on that entire bike so we can see the full picture of the bike.
Wow! That's a great video. The replaced front wheel looks good on the bike and luxurious. I'm glad to be a friend of your great channel. Merry Christmas! 👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝🤝🤙👌
Two things the wheel is nice but you should have a greased the axle better because the factory doesn’t grease it properly and you need some chrome lower legs on that bike but other than that you did a good job happy riding
Great wheel setup! I have built a few Roadkings, that looks good. Good job with the video, one thing I would add, you should clean the axle, inspect and relube before installing. Cheers.
I used those fender spacers when I swapped on a 21" and my fender hit my area under the fork when I went over the first big bump....wtf....after I did the rim swap it left me no choice but to do a road glide conversion and now the bike looks sick
Well I'm glad you got it figured out. I've had this setup for two years now and its worked flawless. But there is always so many variables that come into play with customizations. The RK is one great ride though! Stay safe out there...😎🤘
Yeah, I've had zero issues with this setup. No rubbing or bottoming out, no handling issues, it just looks great, gets tons of compliments and performs flawlessly. Thanks for watching...👍😎
I know I'm 4 years late to the party, but I just gotta know, do you know the name of that wheel and if it'll fit an 08 RK because I need it. Like yesterday
@@charleshenson4183 what size Arlen Ness fender extension did you use (assuming there are different sizes)? I also want to replace a 17" front rim with a 21" just like you did. I have a 2019 Road King.
Made it look easy I’m pretty good with my hands I think I will try it what level of mechanics would you rate this project and what torque numbers did you tighten things at ? Great content 💪🏼
Hey Friend what size tire did you use on your road king when you installed the 21 inch? And did you change the rear as well if so what size did you go with? Thanks for all the great info and videos
Yeah, I was planning on it eventually but I since it's mostly unseen and I've yet to get a comment from someone in person about them being different I figured I'd just use the money for other mods. I do agree though about the OCD thing! 😄 Thanks for watching! 😎🤘
With the research I did at the time it was suggested that you use fender extensions or the tire would rub the middle of the fender causing damage to the fender and tire. I've had zero issues with this setup using the fender extensions. I hope that helps and thank you for watching!
Hello Charles, good video. I wanted to do the same to my bike. You mentioned the rim was 21" how about the tire size, is it 21" × 3.5" or 2.5". I just want to make sure the tire will not scrape the inner fender.
If I remember correctly it was 3.5" I do know you need to install a 1" fender riser kit to the fender to make sure there is plenty of room. This riser kit came with my tire when I ordered it from HogPro. I've had zero issue with rubber or the fender hitting the tree.
For cost reasons I just left it stock. Because of the hard bags, no one ever really notices. Now if I was entering it into shows, well that's a different story 😉👍 Enjoy the ride! 😎🤘
Nice video! I just did the same wheel on my 10 street glide. Well I see allot of people just drilling the fender holes to 3/8 inch. Well I tried that and still didnt have the tire to fender clearance. Did you have issues with the risers causing your fender to meet the bottom of the fairing? That's my concern with a riser kit
Zero issues with the risers hitting the lower fork brace. I was afraid of that as well but it's been a non issue and I've put 8k on this setup with numerous trips as well. Besides having some issues with the solid rotors that I recently got fixed, I've been very happy with the setup from a look and ride-ability standpoint. 😁👍
Yes the rim is 21". As for lowering the folks, I was planning on possibly adding a 18" rear rim to level everything out but to be honest, besides raising the front in just a tad, I haven't really noticed any difference. I ride pretty aggressively through the twisties and I was concerned this setup would impact the handling but I was pleasantly surprised that the bike still handled great at high speeds and in the twisties. The only handling change I noticed was at low speed in parking lots but I got used to that after a ride or two. Thanks for watching! 😎👍🤘
Nope, mine is tubeless. You just need to pick a good manufacturer though that puts a thick band of silicon over the spokes on the inside 😉👍 Thanks for watching!
Yes you do. When I ordered the rim/tire it came with the fender spacer kit. Two chromed brackets that raised the fender I think an inch. I've had zero problems with the fender hitting the triple tree or the tire rubbing after putting 10k on the setup. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Nice video and good job. I got rid of all the black tywraps and replaced them with stainless steel tywraps I picked up at Home depot.
Damn bro you made it look too easy! All your choices look badass! Would you mind sharing a link for all accessories!
Should have installed
Chrome Sliders with that nice wheel.
Keep maiden going, hell with that damn baby metal. Kool vid

Don't trip out when you gotta brake hard and dent the top of the fender on the crash bar. Common with that set up. Looks rad tho.
I will continue to follow your videos
Beautiful instructions 👏🫵👍
Great video. I would like to do the same with my 2009 Road King Classic. What size tire and what size rotor? NEW SUBSCRIBER! 👍🏽🤠 3/22/23

Did you have to have the fender extensions?
Would have been a good time to change those ugly lowers to chrome. Looking good!
Always looking for upgrade to 21" not 23"...
And i like stock fender.
Nice to know we can use that extension

Thank you for your Support 👍👍
Great teacher
Did your fender get a huge dent from the crash bar after this fender riser install?!?!

Nice T-Shirt. Some great riding in Leaky.
Thanks for this video, Bro. Who makes the fender extensions you used?
Arlene ness

Excellent looking, enjoyed the video.
Is this spoke rim available for Royal Enfield classic 350 which has 19 Inch front and back rim of 18 inch.if available what is the price
Brother if i did this yet my front new 21 fits and goes around the block but..... front wheel when is jacked up doesn’t spin what does that mean
If I have a 21inch should I go with a 23 wrap around fender or will a 21 work with the space
Where is part 1 ? What is the brand name of your wheel ?

do you need to lower the front end when installing a 21 inch?
Looks Amazing.
Nice, makes the bike pop.
What is being done wirh rear wheel-tire setup on these..leave stock?
Great video, love that look, thinking about doing similar on my ultra
Links to parts plz
Thanks
21" diameter. What width is that wheel? 3.5"? I'm curious cause I'd love to do this to my bike.
It's a 3.5" since that's the biggest I think you can go with most 21" Rims. So far seems to grip and handle pretty good. 😁👍🤘
I have a 97" FLSTC Heritage Classis, what will the wheels run me price wise more or less?
Check amazon i paid 1660$
Thanks for the video awesome looking bike ! Is this wheel size 21 x 3.5 ?
What are those caps called.
caps lol
That look pretty darn sweet ... good work..
Thank you Sir!
That is gorgeous bro
Amazing work and I’m thinking of doing mine a similar setup , what was the rotor size you used ?
Damn good looking. Nice work 👍🏻
Thanks man! And so far I couldn't be happier with the handling and how it rides. 😁👍🤘
What company makes the wheel?
Looks awesome! I wanna do this to my RK, but my OCD will drive me nuts w/o doing the rear too!? (even though mostly unseen)

Thanx for the quick reply! Hey, if it's good nuff for you, then it is for me! 👍🙂
Do you have to add the fender extension thing ? If you go 21 front btw ty i ended up getting a good deal on some dna mammoth 52 spoke

Did you change front springs?
I did not and in my application I've had zero clearance issues. It did though raise the front end of the bike about 1/2in.
