Eventually I could ride for several hours through the mountains near my home in Australia. I credit the riding with my recovery both mentally and physically. Even if you only go out for 15 minutes at a time, it will help you immensely. Hang in there brother, ride you must, it's therapy for the body, mind and soul. 🇦🇺👍

That said I'm off for a ride. With my luck I probably have a breakdown now that I've talked smack.

@@davidefland1985 I've seen these replica builds, there are companies that make them brand new, not sure how well they fare like if they could be used everyday or more for show or occasional sunday runs but either way they look the part.
I love the Evo engines and of course the reliability but the older Harleys have so much character so ideally I'd love one that looks and sounds something like these old Knuckleheads or panheads but had the modern reliability, preformance and fuel economy of the newer bikes.
I suppose the Shovelheads are kind of a compromise of the two in a way, they do need looking after and know how but they have decent pulling power and they look and sound great..

My dad had a 67 shovelhead, purple, green, blue metallic chameleon paint job with ghost flames. Not sure what if anything was tuned on it, but I remember if he'd get on it, it would shoot some small flames out the exhaust. When he took it to Harley Davidson back in 2017 they just died to have it, and he went for it. Walked out with a brand new Harley with 0 miles and paid $250 cash. No payments just about an even trade. He's at the end of his riding days though, laid it down twice, second time didn't have the strength to get it off him and the exhaust sat on and burnt his leg until someone pulled over to help. He's 68 now he says his body just ain't what it used to be. He fixed the bike both times and no insurance since it was just him involved, so he's going to hand it down to me. 2017 with 187 miles, no dents or scratches, told him he should've kept the shovelhead to hand down to me. Lol.
