    My first bike is a 2007 road king 👑. I was leaning towards the heritage. ended with the king.
    Absolutely love the bike in the highway. Does really well in corners. Very impressed with the bike. One thing i like a lot. Is that theres no fairing. Window on for weather riding and removing for putting around the streets bar hopping..

    At 62 years old and owning 31 bikes since the 60's, my wife said my next one would be my last. So, after much research, I decided on the RK. This bike is great as is, but you can also put a shark or batwing fairing on it, put a trunk on it, etc. Jack of all bikes.
    Great video ICR!

      Thank you Sir! Yes, that's one thing I liked about the RK is it's like the Jeep of HDs. You can go so many ways with it that it really gives you some options! Even when I was making this video I was thinking about what would make me go from the RK to a Road Glide and right now it would be nothing. Besides the fact I love the way the Road Glide looks, I really don't need all the crap on the fairing as all the tech I need is on my phone and helmet. So for now I'm a happy RK owner and will be until it's time to retire this baby. Thanks for watching brotha!

      @@IronCrossRacing Another video I watched about RK's also mentioned like you did regarding the stereo/gps thing. Seems like many people upgrade their bikes to get the newest radio and gps technology. On the RK, you just go buy a new gps, headset, speakers if you want them, whatever. Cheap compared to replacing a bike.

      62 and your next bike will be your last? I'm 77 and L have had 6 bikes since I was 62. Still have: Valk. Fat Boy, GW1800, BMW K1200 RS ST1100 and a Honda Rebel for around town, when a cage just won't do. Don't give up. You sill have a few more bikes in your future. Tell your wife, "when a man quits buying different bikes, his soul is dead!" She will understand when you want a different bike and don't get it! Here's hoping when your 77 you will still be riding those different bikes! (with your wife on the back!)

  • @rebyl54t

    I know we all have our own likes etc but one thing I noticed about your Kury highway pegs was how high they are. I have exactly same setup and have since I bought the bike but have my pegs set low on the bars so I can put feet on pegs only if I wish but I can also rest my heels on the floor boards and the ball of my foot on the pegs which I find great on longer rides, I also removed my heel shifter 10 years ago. I am looking forward to my new 2020 RK but will sure miss this bike, lot of great memories on her...be like breaking in a new woman I suppose, but not an expert there, been married to my wife for 45 years....got married at 20 yrs young

    Great video! I love the look of the RK but people been getting in my head about having to have a fairing. I never listen to music when I ride but people swear for longer trips you need a fairing. Now you’ve got me back to leaning towards a RK. ✌️❤️

    • @IronCrossRacing
      @IronCrossRacing  3 года назад

      Thanks for the comments! The RK is one great bike and totally comfortable for long rides. You just need the wind deflector fangs on the forks to eliminate the wind buffering and adding a Clearview recurve windshield with air pass through helps as well. I've ridden in hot, cold, rain and the road king is as enjoyable to ride as any fairing bike. The biggest benefit is the reduced weight, cost and you can remove the windshield for a more in the wind experience 😉 Thanks for watching! 😎🤘

    I LOVED this video! I have never really considered the road king until this video, but there's actually a ton of reasons why this is a cool bike. One reason I like it is that it's got a non obtrusive windscreen for touring and doesn't have a massive fairing. I'm just watching the 5 things you hate...haha Chur bro! 👊💕

    • @IronCrossRacing
      @IronCrossRacing  5 лет назад

      Thanks Mrs KR! Yes, this bike is a blast to ride and is much more controllable at speed than you would think. I'm not the biggest guy in the world but besides just needing to have some skill maneuvering it at slow speeds, it practically drives itself and require very little input. Thus said, don't be intimated by the weight as I think this bike could be an option for almost anyone (plus its so versatile!). The only thing to look out for is the height but depending on your inseam, a lower seat could fix that issue. Thanks for watching and I'm glad you liked it! :-))
