Hey guys...I’m the guy that sold you this Road King! Times are better and I’ve bought another one. Thanks again for helping me when I needed it. God bless.
I’ve bought one too! 2007 cvo candy cobalt road king ( love it!!! )Especially on the Highway.. just drove it out to Pennsylvania everybody thought I was nuts because of the cold. Bought it from national power sports really cool guys.
@@millionmilesman Ok this is what I'm looking for😮... I found 2009 with 83,000 km on it Is it gonna last ? I mean is it reliable can the Engine do much more? Thank you..I appreciate it 💐👍🏻
With regular maintenance I don't see why not my Yamaha FJR 06 IV had since new has 165 thousand kilometres and still going strong I never have to ride it over 4000 rpm I'm nearly 65 not interested in speed these days a HD cruiser is a fantastic bike with great resale value
I put over 60,000 miles on my 2005 RK classic and I loved that bike. I had to give her up because of arthritis in my hips and feet; I had trouble moving her around. Last year, I bought a Sportster because sitting out good weather is freaking hard but I hated the Sportster. This year, I'm looking at a small Suzuki or something similar; I can't sit another Summer. I don't think this guy gave you a whole lot of info on the ride but I can tell you this; you can ride them all day and never get sore or tired. Those seats have got to be the most comfortable seats ever. They are awesome at cornering, I had mine easily scraping the foot beds even on slow speeds. I took her on the Dragon's Tail (US 129) in Tennessee and had a ball. And, one more thing...I would put some Vance and Hines on one. I had those on mine and damn, it sounded good. I truly believe you need some noise on one because it will get attention of those damn texters. Have fun! If you see an older woman out there on a Suzuki or Honda this year, don't hold it against her that she isn't on that nice Harley. I have to get back on two wheels and some of these foreign bikes only weigh 400 pounds or less.
I’ve owned four Harley’s! My first was a 1997 Sportster, second was a 2002 Electra Glide Standard, third was a 2003 Road King Classic, and today my current bike is a Gun Metal Blue 2003 Road King! I love the 2003 Anniversary Road King! The 88 Cubic Inch motor is more than enough power for me! I don’t care for a fairing or radio! To me, a radio distracts! I want to be able to hear the sound of nature around me! I simply love to take a nice ride! There is no better bike than the Harley-Davidson Road King!
I bought a 2005 roadking last year with 40k on it, it was already up graded with the screaming eagle 95 kit, s&s gear drive cams and also has a batwing fairing and tour pack, they also replaced the leather bags with hard bags and painted everything to match. also has cruise control. So it looks like a ultra classic but in 5 minutes I can convert it back to a roadking. I have already taken a cross country trip on it and I love it.
I have a 2001 RK classic love the bike too. Has to be the most comfortable bike I've ridden . I switched the front wheels with fat daddy spokes and the rear with a 10 spoke chrome rim. I had the original spokes loosen up and put me into a severe wobble, other than that I've had 17 years of pure pleasure ridding this bike. I have ridden from the East Coast to the West Coast and back four time on this bike with no problems except for a few flats through the years..The Mustang seat was built for the RK you couldn't ask for a better seat.
I'm on my 3rd Road King, a 2014 Police , FLHP that I bought brand new while working at a dealership. My 1st King was a 2000 model with an 88 bumped to a 95 with gear drive cams and Mikuni carb, it was a Beast. My 2nd was a 2005 Road King Custom trade in the dealer didn't want so I got it with 112,000 miles on it, cheap, it was bought new there and also previous owner gave me 100% of the maintenance records, it's still going and never been apart except for the addition of gear drive cams at 77,000 miles when the tensioners went bad. I've owned every H-D model and keep going back to the King.
I bought a road King because of the price. I wanted a street glide. I love my bike! So glad I have it. I ride it like it’s a smaller bike. It’s comfortable on long trips and still maneuverable in town.
Just purchased a2002 road king classic with 15.700 miles on it , still in new condition all original and just awesome on a highway it goes 80- 85 very very 8:37 smooth, and also perfect on back roads . The best handling Harley I have ever owned
I love my 2005 Road King. I added a detachable fairing, tour pack, hard bags, Rinehart exhaust, screaming eagle 6 speed transmission, rims, floating discs aaaand air horn. Made it into a dresser. I love my added items.
I own a 05 Road King Custom (88 Twin Cam EFI). I have the gear drive for the cam issue / Stage 1 Kit. I'm 180 lbs and this bike hauls me through the Colorado mountains with no issues (plenty of power). I have no need for a 6th gear.
Just wait till you're on a long highway cruise, that's when you'll use 6th gear. And at 180 pounds if it had any issues hauling you around then it wouldn't deserve the name ;) Have fun riding, and ride safe
@@equalopportunityoffender6732 ahh yeah I forgot that Colorado makes Utah look low lol my bad, glad you're cruising around and having a good time, and yeah with the mountains and area you're in 6th gear is probably barely used
I'm pretty sure the Road Kings came out in 1994, I had a 1995 Road King and have had 4 Road Kings, presently I have a 2016 Road King & I love it, they're Great Bikes, I enjoy Your Videos.
Fatguy I’m looking at a 2004 road king only 8563 miles on it I’m a 300 plus pound guy would this be a good bike for me ? It will be my first Harley I current own a 2016 zx14R it has 5000 on it . Bought it new . This bike would be for when the wife wanted to cruise with me . Just wondering is it a good bike.
1994 For the model year Harley-Davidson replaced the FLHS Electra Glide Sport with the FLHR Harley-Davidson Road King. The original Panhead-powered FLH Harley-Davidson Electra Glide was introduced in and takes it namesake from the model's electric starter. keep up the great work!
I'm an original owner of a 2003 Road King Classic in Silver and Black. The bike is awesome, I've lived off the bike on a cross country road trip for a month and was very comfortable. I did the cam chain tensioners at 40K. They looked to have normal wear. I think that this way overblown. I had AMS in TX. do their machining on the cam plate for increased oil flow and I think this is a good upgrade. I added a S&S 509 cam, and a Dynojet Powervision map by Fuel Moto and it's a noticable improvement. I added the Glide-pro stabilizing system with motor mount, RaceTech gold valves and Progressive Heavy Duty fork spring and serviced the rear shocks with heavier oil. I switched the brake fluid to DOT 4 and the front brakes feel much firmer. I'm so much happier with the bike now that after test riding a new Milwaukee 8 Road King, I wasn't impressed enough to buy one.
I bought my Road King in 94, 1st year. Only changes I ever made aside from adding some chrome, was to open the jet cause it seemed like it was always starving for gas, and make the bags quick release instead of bolt on. Less than 18k miles original and up for sale on Craig's list this week.
I bought a 2011 RK with 1900 miles on it. Seems as if most are buying Road glide or street glide these days. I love the fact that I can tour with the shield or cruise locally without it. Thanks for the great review.
The FLHS(Electra Glide Sport),was the predecessor of the Road King and was discontinued in 1993,making way for the debut of the Road King in 1994.I had an FLHS,it was a great bike,as is the Road King.
1994 first year for the Road King. I own a 2016 RK the glacier white and frosted teal. Love the retro color and look to this bike. My favorite so far. Had a Deluxe and an Ultra Classic. The Road King is my favorite. Great video
I've got also an 09 FLHRC. Love it. Last winter I revised the engine and upgraded to 103 cui and additionally ported the cylinder. Runs great. Fine torque. Live here in Germany and took my RK for a lot of tours throughout whole Europe. Nothing else but Road King.
You make an excellent point about the road visibility. I just love the feel of an open air bike with the road in front of you. Also, around town and shorter trips, you simply take the shield off and you have a great "wind in your hair" ride. Perfect compromise, just like the Heritage.
The end of last year I bought a 2009 Road King Classic. Metal flake purple over gray. She is awesome! I'm living the dream, Mother Nature is cooperating here in Montana, so we're on the road. I gotta add..your description of riding these beautiful machines is right on the nose.
Well my heart has always been with this line, the FLs... I rode a Yamaha Royal Star for years before I committed to a Harley, and used was all I could afford, so I got a 1990 ElectraGlide (80 EVO), and I loved her so much... however, that awful-looking box on the handlebars (with the gages) was having electrical issues that were too much so I traded her for the bike I have now... 1999 FLHR... It was upgraded with a 95" Screaming Eagle, and Thunderheader pipes. It is carbonated (Mikuni), and has a hydraulic clutch (thank God). I have done nothing to it since 2012, except replace the starter, drive belt, tires, and that speedo wire thing on the right side near the starter... as far as performance goes. And of course fluid and plug changes on the reg... Added the tour pack and hard bags (with the hockey pucks on top), but still have the same old windshield that is now cloudy... so it is almost like I have a batwing fairing anyway LOL... That cam chain tensioner thing makes me nervous because I have and am riding the hell out of her, and like I said, never did serious work on her, and never had anyone open her up. I personally put over 100K on her and I am wondering if whoever upgraded the TC88 to the 95 Screaming Eagle, also did cams, and if so, the tensioner as well, that you mentioned on used bikes with 30K-ish miles...
I will never part with my 2004 Road King Custom. That 88 kicks ass and as you said, goes plenty fast. Smooth ride and I’ve never missed having the 6th gear. I’ve got 16” apes on it which I prefer to the beach bars it came with but other than that it’s as it came and still running strong. I enjoyed your video, thanks for posting!
My 2006 Road King Classic racked up 85,000 miles on the stock cam chain tensioner. I upgraded it to hydraulic, not because it was shot, but just because I wanted to.
09 Road King Classic (FLHRC). Only has 26k miles and runs smooth and strong. Drove to Sturgis in 2012 without a glitch (3,698 mile round trip). Fun ride....scenic. Enjoyed your video and comments by fellow bikers.
I got a 2003 Road King Police last year, total classic with the hard police panniers and a big metal platform on the back. Over the winter I had the cam chain tensioners replaced. This year I picked up a 2019 RK Classic and did a 4,000 Mile trip. When I got back home, I was back on the 2003 and I swear it's more fun to ride.
I have a 2000 Road King Classic. I bought it brand new. Had the cam chain tensioner upgrade done with as S&S kit. Bike has been totally reliable. Even has the MM fuel injection and i love it. My bike has Cruise control. It can go 75 MPH all day. Absolutely excellent bike
Have a batwing and lowers on mine...we take long trips on mine and I'm done with getting fatigued by wind and weather...dont notice a difference on hot days
Why do people feel the need to rip on someone’s choice of motorcycle type. There are so many different types of bikes because people like different things, who the WTF cares what somebody else rides, as long as they are happy with it, F###off if you don’t like it.
True. I own an 08 Ultra Classic, an 03 F650GS, a 99 VF750C Magna, a 79 CB400T and a 75 GT380. I ride what I like and like all kinds of motorcycles for their unique qulaities. I just sold a 750 Katana and ill probably get another sport tourer or sport bike. No need to rip anyone or any bike. :)
Because no one likes to be ripped off! Harley's business model is to overcharge for an inferior product! Of course anyone can choose to overpay but for those that feel insulted by Harleys' scam model, then they will comment. It's the American way and right! Fyi Harley will mostly be made overseas, with a token factory in America to finish bikes on American soil to be able to claim "Amercan made" just closed a factory! It continues
Thanks for posting this video Sean. I pick up my 99 Road King Classic, Aztec Orange/Ice in May. Looking forward to the 6 hr ride home on it.A lot of great information on the Road King.
Sean the Reason the Dyna got the 6 speed 1st was Harley Tradition, when Willie G. Davidson took over as the president of styling the 1st bike he produced was the Superglide, it was the big twin 1200cc FLH Frame, and the sportster XLH front end, the Birth of the FX. After the 71 Superglide FX All new idea's were tested on the FX motorcycles ........FXE 1st Electronic Ignition, FXB (Sturgis) 1st Belt drive, FXR 1st Rubber Mount, FXD 1st Dyna Frame, thus the new 6speed was used in the FX motorcycles 1st
It was the hottest bike that year, they only made about 2200 units that year cause they were not sure it was going to fly, but it did,,,,now it’s still being made to this day,
I own a 2002 RKC, FI, BIG BORE. 84,000 miles. I'm the second owner my father in law was the first owner he put almost all the miles on, several trips to Sturgis and on out to the west coast from eastern Pennsylvania, never trailered. I just had the cam chain tensioner shoe changed to hyd tensioner ( versus spring ) it was a close call the stock shoe was worn. Looking at the service records I have it was the first time it was changed. What this tells me is service your bike regularly my father in law was a stickler for service paticularly oil changes.
i have a 2007 road king. looks just like the one in your video. it is a very fun bike. absolutely beautiful to look at from the street or while you are riding. very easy to ride. nice and torquey. can knock you back in your seat. fun. sounds good with some inexpensive slip ons. fairly simple bike. not complex. i find that i think about riding my road king 10 times more than riding my japanese sport liter bike. the only thing i don't really like is riding on the freeway. it feels a little unsafe over 65 mph, compared to my sport bike which is rock solid at high speeds. just a little too much vibration and what feels like a little bit of instability. but possible that is some kind of wheel alignment problem
So I have a 2008 Road King Classic with a 96 six-speed engine. I always figured the gear ratios were: 1st: 0-25mph 2nd: 25-35mph 3rd: 35-50mph 4th: 50-60mph 5th: 60-70mph 6th: 70+mph I usually upshift after cresting 3K RPMs. I don't think it's had any stage work done to it but it did come with a Screamin' Eagle EFI Race Tuner Kit but HD doesn't have a service record indicating that it was staged up or tuned. Please let me know if I'm wrong on the shifting range and RPMs.
I have a 2007 Road King CVO. Has the Screaming Eagle 110, with the stock Alcoa rims on it. Bone stock with Rhinehart pipes on it. I love this bike. Good video!
I had a 1984 shovelhead Road King. "king of the road" it said so right on the forks. Full dresser. It was nice, best shovelhead I ever owned. Frame mounted fairing. Twin headlights.
@@brianmaclennan5943 I stand corrected. 1984 Tour Glide Classic. It said "King of the highway" on the fork brace, under the frame mounted faring. That's what I was thinking of. Should've kept that one.
I have never owned one and never thought twice about it. I'm a fireman and I've seen SO many bad things with motorcycle accidents that I could not overcome. I'm 56 years old and I just bought a 2013 Road King Classic and I can't get off of that thing. I love the classic look of it and how it looks like a police bike. Should have done it years ago. God Bless and ride safe guys 🙏🏼
I own a 1969 Electra Glide, 74 ci, 4 speed, hard bags, windshield and no radio. Vibrates like hell and leaks oil. My father bought it new in 69, I took my test on it when I was 16 and I'm now 55. The only newer Harley I would consider is a Road King because it most resembles my Electra Glide. Clean, simple and no fairing.
I was glad to see our ride stiles are the same. Get the bike moving, right foot goes right to the highway peg.... That's me. I just bought a 2000 RK with 4000k miles on it. Its my first HD. I ef'n love it!
The cam chain issue on the 88s is a significant issue. But, the guys I know are getting up to 100K or better before they quit. My best riding Buddy, my cousin, his lasted to about 125K. He rides an 04 Heritage Classic he bought new. And, he went from the east coast to Sturgis in 2013, in pretty much two days. One leg was 1700 miles in 23 hours, straight. Then his motor died. I'm currently riding an 01 Nightrain, that I got w two years ago with less than 4K miles. Today, 2.5 years later, it has 25K on it. so, the cam chain issue is important but I think I got aways.
I ride a 03 Road King with 95 ci barrels,48,000 miles. Factory cam chain shoes. Still in great shape. Check wear every other service. No big deal 30 minutes to pull cam cover and check. Buddy had dealer convert his 04 King to hydraulics cost him $1400.00.
great video I have a 2002 88 cc motor its a dream to ride its got hard saddle bags air suspension its a dream to ride and I agree with you stay safe happy riding
I'm on my 2nd Road King. I picked up a 2006 in 2010 with 9,239 miles on it. I traded it in 2021 for an 2009 RKC with 5,533 miles. My 06 had 78,764 miles on it when I said good bye to it. They are great bikes. Essentially they are a stripped down Electra Glide. Thanks for the ride. Great vid.
How did you get the small accessory case mounted? I have an FLHP with a speedometer on the bars. Your case is mounted higher which would be perfect for me.
I have a 14 Street Glide Special. I rented a Road King before I bought the Street Glide Special. In my opinion, they are the same bike. One just has a faring and the other has a windscreen but they ride the same. I enjoyed the Road King very much but went with the Street Glide Special because of the nice stuff it had.
Have had a bunch of bikes over the years...just stepped down from an ultra to a nice 2000 Road King. Still need to do foot control extensions for my bigger frame but I'm looking forward to burning up some FL country roads!
DYNA maybe got the 6speed bc ppl ride those hard as hell and are going fast so the 6th gear helps there. When you’re at 80 on a softail with a 5speed that thjng will be buzzing like crazy .. it does with the 6speed (guess it’s the nature of a hard mounted motor
I liked my 2001 R FLHRCI Road king. It was the only fuel injected bike I ever had. It was wrecked when i bought it so I repaired it and ended up selling it along with my 02 FLSTC. I may track down another Road King later it is one on Harley's very best bikes they ever made.
Man I've been wanting a road king ever since I watched shawn smoak's barn find video. Before that I never had any desire at all to ever ride a touring bike.
Adam Ziolkowski the only negativeness is coming from trump.his way of deviding people.his time will end soon.all evil people fall hard.i meen come on all of his kids are half breeds.ther mother's are all from foreign country's right?I love my 2006 Harley Davidson dyna wide glide. I drive to Mexico and always meet riders on harleys.keep on riding
Love the road king it’s between that and the heritage classic I will be picking up once I’m ready and settled in a warmer place than NYS which I’m moving to this spring either NC or TX probably
I have an 02' Road King with the TC88 Motor. I just had the cam chest service done on it, (fixes the plastic cam chain tensioner design flaw). I did no other upgrades or service. The cost was $1,513.94 at Mikes Famous in New London, CT. That is the cheapest of the three dealers I priced. It's not an "easy $600 fix", the parts were more than that. It's an expensive design flaw that HD wont admit to and you risk granading your TC88 motor if you dont get it done by 30k miles. That said, It's a great bike! Just keep this expense in mind when looking to buy a bike with that motor.
The toggle accessory switch on the left triple tree clamp activates the accessory plug located under the seat near the battery. The one on the right side is for the light bat/driving lights.
I've got 58,000 miles on my Blue 09 Road King! Very enjoyable! I named it Elvis! It was love at first sight as I said to myself if Elvis were alive this is what he would ride!
@@stevewhite791 I traded Elvis in September for a 2020 Road King. Very pleased, more power, better handling, ABS brakes, counter balancer on engine so less vibration!
@@jamesleadabrand7986 the EVO is nice but definitely a bit of a beast. My clutch needs adjustment it won’t go into neutral now when running. Pain in the neck at stoplights.
If the final drive ratio is the same, then a 6 speed seems like more of a chore than 4 or 5. I prefer less shifting over more, unless that 6th gear is going to be really high.
I bought an Indian Cruiser bar Hopper I'm never going to sell it but that road king is going to be my next bike I've always loved that bike just didn't need it for a first bike and your boots are dope and thanks for showing that iron off I hate when guys take a GoPro and just jump on the bike and start talkin good video

I have an 04 88ci and yes the police can 16' U turn. They can ride like you wouldn't imagine. The way it is possible to lean and grind off the crash bars is a thing of beauty. My bike is in the shop getting the hydraulic cam chain tensioner and it is is now about $2300 for that and I am getting the 12" bars which is $2500. I can't wait to get it back even though it is a lot of money. When it is done maybe I will comment further.
My buddies Dad bought one 10 years ago and I thought it was pretty cool but power was not the best. We popped the baffles out of the exhaust and put some bigger jets in her and She ran pretty good. He bought a Gold wing a couple years later and was much happier. I drove the Gold Wing and thought it had a better all around engine but it was not as nice to look at.
I ride a 2005 road king and it's right up my alley but it has alot of up grades including a 2007 heritage streetglide raked 2.5 it turned this bike into a 750 lb. Dirt bike add a stage 3 upgrade and this bike will will out run most any bike around with an experienced rider, yes your going to scrape in high speed corners, road kings are one of the best touring bikes.
I have the exact Electric blue 09 road king classic tour pack same windshield and I love it. Take tour pack off and windshield off and that's the money shot. Looks awesome.
I feel like I’m too young (30) to ride a road king but I keep seeing them and I start salivating. I don’t like the bars and windshield or floorboards but I guess that’d be easy to swap out to make it a little more my style.
The extra gear was for fuel economy, not speed necessarily, but for better fuel economy for long trips. Less stopping for fuel. That is why some of our big rigs today can do triple digit speeds up hill and down without a problem, for better fuel economy when driving long distance, when one keeps their foot out of it. Or it eats the fuel milage.
The Road King, aka FLHR, is a popular model with a proud history. Introduced in 1994, the Road King has roots going all the way back to the first FL model in 1941. The very first Harley-Davidsons crafted in 1903 resemble motorized bicycles. so how did some people ride a 1984 road king??

My 2nd was a 2005 Road King Custom trade in the dealer didn't want so I got it with 112,000 miles on it, cheap, it was bought new there and also previous owner gave me 100% of the maintenance records, it's still going and never been apart except for the addition of gear drive cams at 77,000 miles when the tensioners went bad. I've owned every H-D model and keep going back to the King.
I have a 2008 road king classic...bought it new... great bike. The only thing i changed was the handle bars.
Always liked the quick release windshield and bags on the Road King .
And at 180 pounds if it had any issues hauling you around then it wouldn't deserve the name ;)
Have fun riding, and ride safe
@@jerlaine1638 God bless EFI at 12,000 above sea level ! No power loss.
@@jeromeclemons9312 Depends how much your wife weighs to be honest. Bit these bikes are known to carry some pretty heavy loads.
1994
For the model year Harley-Davidson replaced the FLHS Electra Glide Sport with the FLHR Harley-Davidson Road King.
The problem is that you don't know when you will be down to metal. Why risk your engine?
I bought my Road King in 94, 1st year. Only changes I ever made aside from adding some chrome, was to open the jet cause it seemed like it was always starving for gas, and make the bags quick release instead of bolt on. Less than 18k miles original and up for sale on Craig's list this week.
I bought a 2011 RK with 1900 miles on it. Seems as if most are buying Road glide or street glide these days. I love the fact that I can tour with the shield or cruise locally without it. Thanks for the great review.
I took a 2017 Road King 107 around California 6 months back with my good lady. It's a gorgeous looking bike, really nice to ride as well.
Great video
with the EVO 😉
Im Jealous...
I also have a 2004 road king and the ride is smooth. The best part is it's not over complicated with the multiple guages, speakers, and huge fairing.
I, too, have an 04 Road King but mine is a Police. And...only 39k miles! Now that I'm only working 1 job, I have more time to ride.
I've got a 2005 custom FLHRSI with the 88 motor - super relaxing back road and highway cruiser
I bought a 2018 Road King Vivid Black with a 107 cu. in. Milwaukee 8 engine LOVE IT! Very Nice Touring bike!
I'm a Triumph Bonneville fan from youth, but I do really love the Road King; will eventually buy one when I retire in a few years.
I have a 2002 CVO FLHRSEI (Road King) and I love it. Like riding down the road in a comfy chair.
Exactly!
Most b a doggie style bike rider
You are right...but stay cool too.
+Aaron James that sounds like an awesome color
I have had six Harley’s over the years and currently ride an Electra Glide. I will be moving back to a Road King soon. The FLHR is my favorite Harley.
All the flh baggers and flts are same frame. Flh sport was pre road king. I love my 09. Ditch the dunlaps and cure handling problems.
It was the hottest bike that year, they only made about 2200 units that year cause they were not sure it was going to fly, but it did,,,,now it’s still being made to this day,
That six speed Cruise Drive was a improvement, smooth gearchanges and 6th gear confirmation light. I liked it.
I always figured the gear ratios were:
1st: 0-25mph
2nd: 25-35mph
3rd: 35-50mph
4th: 50-60mph
5th: 60-70mph
6th: 70+mph
I usually upshift after cresting 3K RPMs.
Came out in 94..
I thoroughly enjoy my 04 Road King. I added a Eurowing reverse on mine, and now it is perfect for me.
Great Video. This is the bike I want. I don’t need the radio, but I would prefer the hard bags....And keep up the Words of Wisdom!
I have a 2005 she really pretty am selling
I used to have a 10 road king 8 years ago, I'd LOVE another one!! I love that blue! It would look great next to my 02 Honda VTX 1800C in blue!!
Great video, I am searching for a Road King to add to the stable for cruising days. I had an FLHS back in the day and always regretted selling it.
Still have my '95 FLHR I bought new. 84,000 miles with no major engine maintenance. No need for a later model for me. Good bikes and easy to maintain.
I agree on no faring. I can see more road, especially low. It is cool with no windshield.
Man I've been wanting a road king ever since I watched shawn smoak's barn find video. Before that I never had any desire at all to ever ride a touring bike.
Keep up the positives! Sick of hearing negatives lately from the bike world of others... I'm a new rider and want to hear inspiring stuff....

I’m currently looking for an early/mid 2000s Heritage or Softail Deluxe. Hopefully by this summer I can get one.
Hi guys. I live in Brazil and I own a Dyna. My next bike will be a Road King. Thank you for the video.
First year road king was in 1994; I had the first year; black and silver
The toggle accessory switch on the left triple tree clamp activates the accessory plug located under the seat near the battery. The one on the right side is for the light bat/driving lights.
Another nice vid...don’t know if you upgraded your camera but the resolution is awesome. God be with you always. Keep riding and sharing.
I've got 58,000 miles on my Blue 09 Road King! Very enjoyable! I named it Elvis! It was love at first sight as I said to myself if Elvis were alive this is what he would ride!
Haha. I call my 1998 Road King (blue) Elvis too.
@@stevewhite791 I traded Elvis in September for a 2020 Road King. Very pleased, more power, better handling, ABS brakes, counter balancer on engine so less vibration!

Love my 2018 RK...I'm a minimalist when it comes Harley's.
Same here
6 GEAR IS FOR CRUISING AND FUEL SAVING
6th gear is the same as 4th gear in a 4 speed, 1 to 1
If the final drive ratio is the same, then a 6 speed seems like more of a chore than 4 or 5.

HD technology wins hands down , right up with the times , the others are just lost in their 'wake' . GOD BLESS HARLEY DAVIDSON .
1994 was the year it switched to the Road King designation.
Did you own an FLHS model? I think it was an early version of a Road King. Stripped down bagger.
23 year old but for some reason Cruiser bikes fascinate me a lot more than sport bikes
I feel like I’m too young (30) to ride a road king but I keep seeing them and I start salivating. I don’t like the bars and windshield or floorboards but I guess that’d be easy to swap out to make it a little more my style.
I liked my 2000 Road King better than my 2011 Road King. I want some ape hangers on mine. They look awesome with ape hangers..
had an 04, miss it....gonna get another 04. made 105 hp 107tq on stock cams.....no bull shit, great running bike
You got anymore of them 2003 Road King Anniversary Editions that were so abundantly rare??
The Road King, aka FLHR, is a popular model with a proud history. Introduced in 1994, the Road King has roots going all the way back to the first FL model in 1941. The very first Harley-Davidsons crafted in 1903 resemble motorized bicycles. so how did some people ride a 1984 road king??
Awesome vid. Keep up the good work!
I love my 2012 FLHR Road King!

Lmao, that would be pretty damn hilarious to drive by and see that.
