Eulogy for Vasey, the Beloved Grandma Dear friends and family, Today we gather with heavy hearts to honor the life of Vasey, the beloved grandmother who radiated grace and warmth in every room she entered. Vasey wasn’t just a vase-she was the matriarch of the shelf, the guardian of generations, and a nurturer of both flowers and souls. Her life came to an abrupt and unexpected end due to a tragic accident. Her grandson, Brickothy, full of energy and ambition, attempted a daring backflip-a move fueled by youthful excitement and perhaps a bit of overconfidence. In his innocent enthusiasm, he toppled his dear Grandma Vasey. Though the accident was devastating, we know that Vasey, in her infinite love and wisdom, would not want us to hold blame. She adored Brickothy’s adventurous spirit and would likely smile, saying, “At least he was trying something new!” Vasey was a figure of encouragement, always urging those around her to reach higher, even if the shelf seemed precarious. Vasey leaves behind a legacy of beauty, strength, and compassion. She taught us to embrace life fully and to always forgive-because love, like the flowers she held, grows best when nurtured. Let us remember Vasey not for how her life ended, but for the countless ways she enriched ours. May she rest in peace on the highest, most beautiful mantelpiece in the great beyond. Rest easy, Grandma Vasey. Your spirit remains with us, forever in bloom. Yes i used ChatGPT to write this i cant write a eulogy

We live in a society
it's somehow horrible and genuinely amazing at the same time. thank you, i think
But can make my money 💵 jiggle jiggle not fold 😂
I'm really enjoying these kind of educational content, especially for animation. Thank you for the efforts, and please keep it up!
15:56 love the inclusion of the Money for Nothing music video
17:20 little known fun tidbit, VeggieTales was one of _the first_ CGI series ever made, around 1993

JAMES THANK YOU FOR RECOGNIZING PARANORMAN! PARANORMAN IS AMAZING AND MORE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE IT. IF YOU LIKE CORALINE AND WANT MORE KIND OF LIKE IT FROM THE SAME STUDIO WATCH PARANORMAN!
I haven't watched paranorman since I was a kid so probably like ten years. I watched Coraline on Halloween this year cause it's awesome so thanks for the recommendation. I will watch paranorman. I love animation.
I love that movie!
I will stand by that Paranorman is better than Coraline
Also the first ever openly gay animated feature lol

12:25 Seeing the insanely high quality of the modern animation for demon slayer alongside the classic anime animation is so jarring but I love it.

"For the last time Graystripe, I DON'T KNOW WHAT A WAFFLE IS!"
I was shocked when i saw that.
"FIRESTAR DOESNT LIKE WAFFLES :("
My mouth literally dropped when I saw that!!! If I had anickle every time a story time animator made a wc reference I would have 2 (also jaiden made one in her video about books I think)
I WAS FLABBERGASTED
I literally audibly gasped when I saw that
The way James' animation style evolved in 10 years is character development
The way you’re a stupid bot
I thought you were gone
it technically isn't his animation, though. he has a team who animates, he mostly just does the writing.
Coincidence:
Just when I was doing a disney movie marathon, starting with snow white, I mention how animation was different, and DING DONG this video comes out
This literally happened to me as well. I’m doing a Disney marathon as well from Snow White to Moana 2 (I’m on Strange World)
Yes, "coincidence". We totally didn't watch you at all ...
James is in ur walls
POV The best form of animation so far: YOUR ANIMATIONS!😆
21:06 Never did I think I would see the day that James would put ROTTMNT in one of his videos, yet here it is! Absolutely amazing 😃👍
Also Rise has beautiful animation so I’m glad he used it as an example 🥰👍
OMFG I LOVE THAT SHOW DONNIE IS THE BEST CHARACTER
@ AGREED 😃👍
RIGHT?? Favourite iteration by far
@SilverTheHedgehog-n4graph* in my opinion
@ also same
I feel like Studio Ghibli deserved a mention but we won't talk about it 😔
I love it when a video is so good I don't even notice how it was a classroom history lesson in disguise ❤
So genuinely informative and included so many (criminally) underrated shows!! In particular, Tangled the Series and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles have such beautiful animation it takes me forever to get through any of their episodes. I just keep rewinding like “WOAHHH”
Another excellent video on animation. Delighted that these are up to the standard that animation deserves.
James I cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH for calling attention to the goddess of spring animation. It is literally one of the turning points in film/animation and it always gets looked over because of Snow White!!! Everyone should know about this silly symphony!!!!
Wow this dropped THE SAME DAY as an Alan Becker masterpiece

As a 7 year old animator, (I’m not joking about being a 7 year old), I can confirm there is a lot more animation styles than I thought.
Your to young to be on youtube
@ComikaGD No, that’s not true! My parents let me go on RUclips. I don’t know why, but they do. And I appreciate that. There is better content on RUclips than RUclips kids. So there’s your proof.
22:54 james knows people well, too well....
Well who doesn't like those assets. Well I mean I don't because I'm gay, but most people do
@@Noahfinnce_worshiptbh when animation just portrays it like that, it’s honestly really gross. like idk abt other people but thinking about someone putting sm effort into just drawing that is like insanely odd and unrealistic to the point where it’s soo uncomfortable 🤷♀️
@@princeizuku oh yeah. I was online and found like the most AI generated or Photoshopped lady you can imagine. Definitely playing into the straight guy fantasy with big bewbys. It was so uncanny that I just felt extremely uncomfortable by it. But I grew up on Rayman origins which had very s3xualized animated girls so I guess I'm just desensitized to it and feel nothing for it
You guys don't understand the meaning of this.
20:17 the fact that i started using this software 3 years ago, and still use it to this day to make fun, goofy animations is just to show how great this software is

As a 2D animator it’s nice to see someone so well known on the internet create a love letter for the art form. I’m in college for animation, and of course i’m still learning, But the excitement when you see your drawings move is incomparable. I hope people realize that AI generated animation removes all the joy of the process and the actual human craft within the art form.
You are awesome James, i'm so happy to see the direction you took with your art, much respect ♡

Eulogy for Vasey, the Beloved Grandma
Dear friends and family,
Today we gather with heavy hearts to honor the life of Vasey, the beloved grandmother who radiated grace and warmth in every room she entered.

Love the real-world info blast of animation love!! Endlessly interesting to watch, and something that's bound to inspire much needed appreciation into what all goes into art! Great work!!
Pivot was what got me into animation, but never into art. I was 6 when my mom showed me pivot animator, I used it a lot. I still have some projects saved on my old laptop, most are corrupted but some are still saved. I am happy you highlighted a piece of tehnology that defined my childhood. Btw I suck at art and I only use my animation skill for video-games
