As a Vocaloid Producer it's so insane seeing a video from Jaiden about Miku. Like my favorite RUclips personality making a video about my #1 passion in life is so wild. Thank you for making this Jaiden, the Vocaloid community loves you!!!!!!!
Being an adult is just going back and liking all the weird stuff you liked as a middle school kid but being less ashamed of it now. I'm so glad that you got to rediscover something that makes you happy, its always such a great feeling! :)
@@neatoburrito9013Nah, at least not everything. To admit, I won't start collecting snails again when it rains outside, but painting, drawing with chalk on the street or playing cards and old games is still a banger
as a teen now, its gotten a lot better. Theres this kid at my school that coming in anime cosplay every single day. Hes awesome. I like talking about my interests with my theater club mates. Im actually doing a fandom swap with a friend where im going to read some SCP stuff and he'll read some marvel fanfics. With the acceptance of queer people came the acceptance of other nerdy stuff. Tons of people wear awesome punk clothing and have funky hair or make up. Its a norm to have a spiderman or bluey backpack. Its really great seeing all the different styles, not to mention all the body positive stuff.
@@Alexander_Luv1 that sounds amazing. Keep those moments good in memory and hopefully you'll be able to keep the contact as well. Cosplay is awesome, in general having contact with people who enjoy the same stuff as you
@Alexander_Luv1 your school sounds amazing. In my school, people got pissed off cause i looked at them. For like half a second. They'd ruin my life if i was actually myself at school.
On a The Rose concert the girls around us where so nice, we shared snacks and water and someone printed the color scheme for each song so everyone followed, it was a magical place.. it felt like that first summer of Pokemon Go where world peace was achived
My favorite Hatsune Miku related story is the time I was looking at a miku figure at a con and a hatsune miku cosplay came up to me, put their hand on my shoulder, and then told me "that miku figures is a b tier. Its not very good and super over priced. You only want that for about 15-20 dollars." Then they told me about how they only get certain figure for a certain price because they research what their worth. Where ever you are hatsune miku cosplayer, you are my hero!
As a Bassist myself, I genuinely appreciate the little part in video supporting the Bass. We don't really ever get much attention, unless we're the lead instrument or something like that. So seeing you go out of your way to cheer on that Bassist really warmed my heart. And if you were wondering, you cheering him on was probably the highlight of the concert for him. Great video as always! And thank you again!
I love when it's clear the "popular" girl was likely popular because she was nice to and took an interest in lots of other people. Like, that's the right definition for that, right?
ME TOO! And I don't really feel comfortable saying "Oh, I want to be a musician and I just love all music" or something, because there are very specific genres I _don't_ love, like non-melodic rap.
I went to a smaller Miku concert (called Thunderbolt) in Tokyo. At that concert I didn’t get a glow stick but the guy next to me saw I was alone and without one and lent me one of his so I could cheer with everyone. It was one of the kindest moments I had in Japan.
Love the way Jaiden has progressed for being a shell of herself a couple years ago, to being happy with herself and confident. Genuinely one of the coolest transformations ever.
Hey, I've just come home from Miku Expo London after becoming a fan from this video. I've ended up listening to vocaloid music almost everday since, and really resonated with it, making new friends and overall being hyperfixated on this! My mum and sister were watching a show the day before so I was able to get a ticket for Miku Expo the day after since we'd already be at London. The concert was so amazing, seeing everyone with glowsticks and cheering, and the amount of cosplayers was awesome to be reminded that vocaloid is about the fans who make music, art and cosplays. Kinda feeling post-concert blues but really want to visit again next year, and I'm so glad I found this video
I love how for a second, when Jaiden was talking about her college days, the artstyle changed for a sec to mimic her old style from when she was actually in college!
Hearing you so excited about seeing Miku made me cry even BEFORE you described the actual concert (and once that started, i was bawling), it’s just. It’s so nice to hear someone be as into your hyperfixation as you are.
I'm a music teacher, and I just wanted to say your joy and passion for Miku is exactly what I wanna instill in my students. I don't want them to like violin or piano, I don't want them to like the artists I also like. I👏🏼want👏🏼them👏🏼to like👏🏼MUSIC👏🏼. Through whatever outlet they can. I want them to enjoy whatever organized wiggly air they encounter and understand how important and wonderful music is in our lives. Hearing you say how you weren't too into it in the beginning, then developing into the "I get it now" feeling you experienced at the concert made me very happy. Because that's what I hope my students and anyone experiences as well. Also I loved your shout-out to bass players, very wholesome.
I wish that had been my experience learning music - being given the opportunity to find out what my music was, as opposed to just "and now for grade 5, you can choose between these three arbitrary classical pieces." Music education I think suffers from the same problem as English studies, which is that the people who design curriculae are obsessed with the socially acceptable historical greats - your Shakespeares and your Mozarts. And so every kid gets taught pretty much exclusively these people's works, even though in real-taste terms they're very niche and not relevant at all to modern audiences until you already know enough about the subject to understand what makes them good.
ORGANIZED WIGGLY AIR I LOVE IT Honestly thank you for what you do. My choir teacher DEGRADED her students to the point that anyone NOT her favorite DROPPED. OUT. She treated us to ‘a professional work environment'. She also ruled musicals with an iron fist. My dad had seizures when I was growing up and had a head injury that he had an appointment for during my practice. (My teacher would be apoplectic if you tried to skip for A N Y reason.) I told her I had to leave and when we came back my dad wanted to apologize for taking me away and wanted to explain. I didn't want him to hear my choir teacher but he came in anyways. She was SCREAMING at the students that I shouldn't have left, that no one else can leave, not for work, not for homework, no one else could leave until they had gotten it PERFECT. My dad was pissed. He ripped into her (which she deserved) and she never did it again while I was in school. I still never really sung much after as I thought I sounded horrible, but now I do sound horrible ✌🏻
Gonna change you like a remix, gonna raise you like a phoenix 🐦🔥 how does it feel like your time is running out I’m gonna change you like a remix gonna raise you like a phoenix 🐦🔥
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that! I wonder if she drew those parts herself or if somebody on the team had to study her old style for that bit lol
I was watching this with my bf, and he's a bass player . As soon as she said, "appreciate your bass players," he looked at me and went "yeah what she said." We love your videos 😊♥️
No matter how much time has passed, Hatsune Miku is the first virtual idol that has made a memorable impression on everyone, and that has never changed, she is a legend
@SkibiditoiIetyesyes_UTTP SHUT UP NO ONE ASKED, I WISH YOU DIDNT EXIS, JUST SHUT UP NO ONE CARES, YOU DONT HAVE ANY CONTENT SO YOU CANT SAY MUCH, JUST SHUT UP
Jaiden talking about how she didn’t realize how much she loved Hatsune Miku *until* that moment when the concert was starting is exactly how I felt when I went to my first Miku Expo. Seeing the crowd fill up with the teal glow of everyone’s glowsticks, being surrounded by other fans just as excited as you - it made me almost tear up when Miku showed up and I found myself aggressively waving my glowstick along with everyone else while screaming the lyrics of the song. I didn’t realize how much I truly loved Miku and the other vocaloids till I went to Miku Expo, it was just amazing!
This made me cry, because just. Finding the sounds that works for you and suddenly gaining some understanding of an entire art form? That's a really sweet thing to discover.
Hatsune Miku first debuted one month and 11 days after I was born which is insane because that means Miku is 17 years old as of 2024 😅 also I just recently learned that her name is derived from the Japanese words for, first (初, hatsu), sound (音, ne), and future (ミク, miku) meaning her name Hatsune Miku translates to The First Sound Of The Future.
I love it when people are passionate about something, and I also love it when people come together to celebrate their passion. It doesn't matter what that passion is (assuming it's not hurting anyone), whether it be robot vocalists or stamps or some sports team, finding happiness and something to be passionate about is what we all strive to do. I'm glad you have this passion and I'm glad you got to experience that event and be a part of the community that shares your passion!
@@coastaku1954 descuida, todos somos fans de algo en menor o mayor medida, soy igualmente fan de hatsune miku pero no a grandes niveles y eso esta bien ^^
the only problem is saying "i listen to vocaloid" gets you the same odd stares from normal people as "i listen to video game music" or " i listen to anime music". or even closer... "i listen to nightcore"
if you start getting the stares, just turn all hipster on them. "don't worry, you wouldn't know about it, it's pretty new, it doesn't really appeal to average people" ... and then see how many of them are into it deep the next week xD
THE GLOWSTICK ARM PAIN IS SO REAL OMG. I was at MikuEXPO in Newark and I was constantly switching arms I legit did not put down one of my arms the entire show holy fart. It’s so hype!!
I also went to the Newark show and my wrists were sore the next day 😭😭 (it did not help that I passed out stickers beforehand so I constantly had my arms stretched out)
"My world was changing and it was all hers" is such a raw line as someone who has gone down the miku rabbit hole for the first time 2 years ago and never went back
I don't know anything about hatsune miku but i can't tell you how insanely happy it mkes me to hear someone gush about their hyperfixation with so much passion like you are now.Actually crying
i feel you with the dreaded “what kind of music do you like” question-listening to my liked songs on spotify is absolute whiplash bc i don’t have a specific genre i like, i just save everything that i think is a banger-so you’ll get an old song from 2012 and then the opening theme from the fnaf movie right after
I feel this except I don’t even save the music…at best I make a new pandora station and yeet it to the shuffle …and I’m a musician!! Listen. (hah.) I like performing music, and playing music. Listening…uh…notsomuch. Not to the extent Everyone Else Does. It’s not that I don’t appreciate a good live or studio performance but…people who actually collect music and listen as a hobby vs to have pleasant background sound just…kinda baffle me.
I feel that, I could be jamming to my playlist, where is the nice, calming piano of Beneath the Mask from Persona 5 (the evening song in the overworld)… and then immediately into Silhouette of Catastrophe from Genshin (the Abyss Whale boss fight), then back to Oh It’s You from A Hat in Time (Snatcher’s theme after you fall into his trap to make u sign a contract) & then it’s Death Approaches from Honkai Star Rail (Blade’s trailer theme)
someone NEEDS to tell jaiden about the project diva games, theyre rhythm games with miku and her songs in it, and in the older games (AKA not megamix or future tone) you can hang out with the vocaloids in their rooms, give them presents, pat them on the head (i think that one started in project diva F?) etc., and on top of that you can make your own music videos with the models and see other people’s MVs too!!! dont even get me started on the spinoff project mirai on the 3ds, a miku rhythm game with optional touchscreen controls where you can give your vocaloid food and money and furniture like ur own virtual pet?? i think its right up her alley!!! EDIT: i forgot project sekai/colorful stage exists too, its a free mobile game with a bunch of human characters in bands along with the vocaloids, i haven’t played it but that game seems fun too!!
Ey i was at the Miku Expo 2024 Europe, it was my first ever concert, and i never have been around so many people that were just as crazy as me. It was a wonderful event, i was literally not able to sleep after that, being sad that it was over. I now got the glow stick, the callbook and some posters on Display in my room, framed my ticket and hung it on the wall, to never forget that day. I met really cool people, and if you see this, cool people, i cant wait to see you next time👋🏻✌🏻
As a musician, who cannot get music out of his head, geats earworms easily, and likes to pick music apart into minute details, this was interesting to watch. Jaiden you're an interesting person, please continue.
@CowDudeTheBestistAwesome ok. but there's a reason why you're on her channel trying to sell yourself. Probably have the personality of a wet paper towel.
Jaiden's interest in Miku and insecurities in high school about it really reminds me of my interest in Sonic, especially Shadow. Of course, now, I'm one of the happiest Shadow fanboys with no shame for my happiness, but it's always fascinating to hear other people's return to something that they used to love as kids/teens.
"my world was changing, aand it was all hers" i'm crying that was genius. I once emailed the maker of Happy Synthesizer if I could use it on a milestone stream, and they said yes 😭❤ Vocaloid creators are the best, fr
Because of this video, in the last 7 days I went from not even knowing who Hatsune Miku is to now binge listening to Vocaloid music 24/7 while animating Thank you... I think 😂😂
Yesterday I went to Hatsune Miku expo- it was my first concert. When I tell you, I have never sobbed of joy in my life until that moment. Ohhh my god I had the most amazing time I will forever cherish my time there ahhhhh I love you Miku ❤
I’m such a big vocaloid fan because I got into vocaloid at my worst stage of life and Miku literally told me “Girl, don’t die I’m not in hell” and I’m pretty sure I’ll DEFINETLY go to at least one vocaloid concert in my life because IT SAVED ME
Legit getting emotional right now. Being around your people, doing a thing, loving what you love. It doesn't matter how dorky....it feels so nice. Thanks for sharing!
This happened to me with the guts tour (Olivia Rodrigo)- I spent my life savings on merch and it was so much fun to scream songs along with people that you don’t even know but connect with so well!
I can't lie, I teared up when you were talking about how great coming together as a community sharing a common interest or passion is, and I'M NOT EVEN A MIKU FAN! But I think seeing people being passionate about something and unite around it is so so so beautiful :') I share that admiration about kpop groups and I just love the energy and happiness these concerts give me
I'm a huge music lover and I also hate the "What music do you listen to" question, because I never have any idea how to answer it and always think of a better answer afterwards 😭
Same. I'm firmly convinced that that question only works for people who listen specifically to one of the broad and easily recognizable genres. Whether you don't have a favorite because you don't really listen to music or because you listen to three different genres and four weird categories that defy genres but are somehow etched in your soul, the question can't be answered. One of my worst carpooling experiences was when it was my turn to pick the music for the ride and I spent forever scrutinizing the horrible gremlin amalgamations that are my spotify playlists before deciding that "game soundtracks" probably was normal enough. (it was not)
@@helenanilsson5666 Omg that puts it into words perfectly! I've also been in a similar situation recently in the car with a new friend, and I had no idea what to do... A lot of my music is so personal to me so I really struggled to find anything that I felt represented my taste well, and also wasn't super personal/emotional. I ended up shuffling some random song from my Spotify, and immediately thought of 10+ other songs I wished I would have shown them. 😂😭
Especially because people will begin talking about music they like and then move to shit-talking a different type of music and then if they ask me wheat I like and it’s the one they hate the what do you do? Lie? Say the truth and be shunned forever?
Jaden the bit at the start about not listening to music and tweaking out whenever anybody asks is so relatable... and I'm a musician myself so that makes it even more akward. "You don't listen to anything? But you make music!" Pain.
That was exactly me up until about age 15. In multiple orchestras, but not a music fan. Then when I discovered vocaloid, I became a music fan and stopped being a musician, because I was suddenly presented with the fact that the music I value is completely disconnected from the music I was able to play. Trying to get back into it now though, downloaded Miku's V4 voice bank and going to learn how to use it this weekend.
If you ask me what kind of music I listen to, my brain will eject knowledge of every song I've ever heard. I'll even be struggling to remember the tune of "Pop Goes The Weasel".
Rather than just moving the figurines so that Jaiden doesn’t have to upskirt miku, and instead choosing just to never ever look up is THE MOST Jaiden thing I’ve ever heard

That whole "not into music until you found one specific niche genre that you love" is me. To the letter. But my "awakening" came not with vocaloid, but with Eurobeat. I am now obsessed and have been obsessed for over 5 years, I can't get enough of it.
Same here! Mine was Sparks. Once I heard their first song I was hooked and finally started listening to music outside of instrumental and movie/video game scores. I ended up listening to all of their albums which ended up being a lot since they have been playing since the 60s lol
@jaidenanimations As someone who mainly got into miku because of this video, and the whole reason i went to miku expo 2024 yesterday as im writing this, i cant thank you enough for getting hooked on the miku craze, because i have never felt so happy in my life, i finally understand the joy of her concerts now, LET ME JUST SAY I CAN WAIT FOR THE NEXT EXPO. and again Thank you so much for getting me addicted to this i had no idea what i was missing out on :]
everyone taking about the topic of the video relating to Jaiden, and here I am just being stunned at the marked increase in the animation quality. SOOOOO much energy, so many more dynamic shots with more complex cuts and composition. Jaiden and her team went REALLY hard for this episode.
When I was younger I was ashamed to love vocaloid because people said it was weird and that it wasn't real music. But now that I am an adult, I really love the years I spent enjoying vocaloid and I keep doing it without being ashamed. I really love vocaloid. I' m happy to see someone so passionate about Hatsune Miku
Same here, My mom always talked to me about her music, but when I tried talking to her about MY music, she'd always say, "Oh, that's not real talent. People spend so much time voice training and yadayada" And she doesn't even think about the amount of talent it takes to tune Vocaloids.
Thanks for this comment. I’m pretty insecure about this stuff, mainly because I’m a dude, and we aren’t “supposed” to like these things. There are some pretty judgmental people at my school, but I have a strong friend group and they understand. We’re the weird kids. I think I’ll start being more open about the things I like and not be so ashamed anymore. Thank you, random commenter.
When someone has an obsession with a type of music they cannot listen to anything else of stop listening to it at all but Jaiden, you have to listen to Madilyn may cuz she hits hard
i love vocaloid so much - when i was younger i listened to a lot of english covers without even realising it then years later found the originals totally reshaped my music taste
10:57 This is what it’s like to be into music I remember going to my first concert for half alive. They are one of the greatest bands I’ve ever heard, because their music, from day 1, has resonated with me. I remember they actually played a cover of “strangers like me,” and I tested up multiple times that concert. Because I felt heard and welcomed.
oh my god a wild half alive mention!! Their lives are soooo cool with the music, writing, and choreography of the performances. I remember seeing them at one of their early shows at this tiny little bar venue in Chi and even then it was incredible! Definitely not just a concert, it's an ~experience~

@@thesoftwarenerd9055 The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
getting hella excited sorrounded by people just as excited about it as you are and no one having to feel ashamed for theyre love is AMAZING and so just mentaly idk healing? refreshing???
As a metalhead fully hooked on live music, your description of the crowds, the energy of the live performance, the excitement and the joy, is all spot on. It’s what keeps me going back again and again and again. Doesn’t matter what the genre is, live music is something special. Happy you found your niche! Love the content!
As somebody with a playlist where 98% of the songs are purely vocaloid songs, I must admit, this may have, perhaps, been maybe just a wee, teensy-weensy little smidge relatable. Maybe. Possibly. (In all honesty, glad you made a video like this. Made me feel a bit less weird about my playlist of vocaloid, which is nice! Time to go blast my definitely normal music now-)
I checked out hatsune Miku after first time seeing this video and I think you created a Miku fan because I’m not gonna lie her music sounded pretty good
There's a special feeling the first time you really feel like you belong, the moment you find "your people" in a huge crowd of people you don't know but share a passion for an interest. The more niche your interests or the more unusual you are by default, those moments can happen much later in life, but by then you're much more aware when it happens. The feeling of community does fade over time, but the bigger the event, the longer the feeling lasts. I imagine for some people it's sport, or concerts which generate that comfortable feeling, going to see their local sport team or just hanging out the front. I'm glad you found your people, Jaiden, those who share a passion who meet you as equals to celebrate an ideal. In this case, Hatsune.
One thing that has always stood out to me about the Vocaloid fandom is it's so dang inviting and non-judgmental compared to others. Everyone just likes their favorite singer, their favorite song, their favorite artist, and is happy to share. I've never once heard or seen "Yuck, you like THAT?" about anything within it its fanbase. Here's to hoping for many years more of it, and many concerts for you to win a seat at.
totally different experience with the fandom honestly you bring up just once its kinda worrying that a company completely takes the human element out of a fundamental human experience so they can perfectly curate a parasocial relationship with their customers and squeeze out as much money as possible that goes directly to the company and BOOM im a heretic that should be burned at the stake.
Hyper Reality Show by Utsu-p (feat Miku ofc) has a metal vibe i guess, its one of my fav songs! I went to the Miku Expo this year and hearing it live made me feel happy

I went to a smaller Miku concert (called Thunderbolt) in Tokyo. At that concert I didn’t get a glow stick but the guy next to me saw I was alone and without one and lent me one of his so I could cheer with everyone. It was one of the kindest moments I had in Japan.

Also I loved your shout-out to bass players, very wholesome.
you're healing this world for this
thank you Sweaty9263
I wish that had been my experience learning music - being given the opportunity to find out what my music was, as opposed to just "and now for grade 5, you can choose between these three arbitrary classical pieces." Music education I think suffers from the same problem as English studies, which is that the people who design curriculae are obsessed with the socially acceptable historical greats - your Shakespeares and your Mozarts. And so every kid gets taught pretty much exclusively these people's works, even though in real-taste terms they're very niche and not relevant at all to modern audiences until you already know enough about the subject to understand what makes them good.

That was exactly me up until about age 15. In multiple orchestras, but not a music fan. Trying to get back into it now though, downloaded Miku's V4 voice bank and going to learn how to use it this weekend.

Jaiden: I don't "get" music. I've never been a big music person.
Also Jaiden: *Made at least one song that is a certified banger.*

She also made "Rise Above" a few years later.

This is what it’s like to be into music
I remember going to my first concert for half alive. They are one of the greatest bands I’ve ever heard, because their music, from day 1, has resonated with me. I remember they actually played a cover of “strangers like me,” and I tested up multiple times that concert. Because I felt heard and welcomed.
Holy shit fellow half alive fan in the comments section hell yeah
oh my god a wild half alive mention!! Their lives are soooo cool with the music, writing, and choreography of the performances. I remember seeing them at one of their early shows at this tiny little bar venue in Chi and even then it was incredible! Definitely not just a concert, it's an ~experience~
@@achicken21 i want to see them live so badly but i missed the CoaP tour because i discovered them in December 2023. They are currently my top artist of all time on Spotify.

This perfectly describes how my hyper fixation with planes works except "planes" is replaced with "Hatsune Miku" and "airshows" is replaced with "concerts"

CAUTION ALERT MISSILE MISSILE MISSILE PULL UP BINGO
GO UP *weeoo weeoo* GO UP

Time to go blast my definitely normal music now-)
I relate to this comment on a personal level.
Mood
So real
The fact that rolling girl is on the playlist so many times is such a MOOD and it gives me so much joy cause it's one of my favorite songs of all time
One thing that has always stood out to me about the Vocaloid fandom is it's so dang inviting and non-judgmental compared to others. Everyone just likes their favorite singer, their favorite song, their favorite artist, and is happy to share. I've never once heard or seen "Yuck, you like THAT?" about anything within it its fanbase.
Here's to hoping for many years more of it, and many concerts for you to win a seat at.

The irony.

totally different experience with the fandom honestly you bring up just once its kinda worrying that a company completely takes the human element out of a fundamental human experience so they can perfectly curate a parasocial relationship with their customers and squeeze out as much money as possible that goes directly to the company and BOOM im a heretic that should be burned at the stake.
I get it, I don’t get art, just like a few weeks earlier I started to understand a bit, still understand a bit
Metalhead here - no idea how your videos ended up in my youtube suggestions but yeah now i am sitting here vibing to hatsune miku🤟✌️
Hyper Reality Show by Utsu-p (feat Miku ofc) has a metal vibe i guess, its one of my fav songs! I went to the Miku Expo this year and hearing it live made me feel happy
@@ThEnigma666 I'm a metalhead as well, I don't enjoy this kind of music, but I get the emotions she feels from it, because they're the same ones I get when I go to see my favourite bands live
