    Thanks for the video. It will be very helpful to me in the spring. I will be taking my tires off myself for the first time. I have never done it before, always taken to dealer. But I want to do more things myself. Nice video. 👍

    Kyle this is so helpful! My big question is how you are supporting the rear with the Jack Stands? I need to take the front and rear wheels off to have the tires replaced, but not sure how to safely secure the bike in the rear while working on the front.

    Great video, thank you! Does it matter which way the grooves on the spacer face (left side if your looking at the bike). It looked like before disassembly, they were closer to the fork side but on reassembly they were closer to the tire side.

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад +1

      Yes, sorry I’m just replying. The rings should be closest to the fork. I messed that up, I caught it a day or so later. A+ for noticing!

      @@MotoHeadKylewhat happens if t Jr e spaced is on with the grooves to the inside, versus facing the fork?

      i''m not sure if its grooved differently or not, but I would make sure the lines on the spacer is re-installed the same way it was beforehand. I wouldn't take a chance. Maybe someone can chime in, if they know a little bit more about that

    • @bthph88
      @bthph88 Год назад

      @@bthph88 @vincethrill457 From looking at it with a naked eye I couldn't see a noticeable difference. However just looked it up in the service manual it says "See Figure 3-3. Install outer spacers (2) with grooves on
      the outboard side." So according to that id install it as such

  • @MadMexism

    Great video! question. Did you have to lubricate the axel shaft before installing it, or did you just dry dock it? Some say to greaser it up with some axel grease of your choice, and others just say dry is just fine.

    He left out one very important thing....the front tire wouldn't clear the fender....so how did he stabilize the bike while loosing the wheel clamp & jacking up the scissor jack under the frame...I don't see any ratchet straps stabilizing the bike. That scissor jack would have to be positioned perfectly in the frame for good balance. That would be hard to do with the front wheel tightened in the clamp....be careful out there guys if you loosen that wheel clamp & it's not balanced perfectly & not secured down properly, it's going to fall!
