Some people use that scripture as actual grounds to ignore God's holy 7th day Sabbath (thinking that Jesus broke the Sabbath, so the Sabbath no longer matters), while forgetting that the Sabbath is still the 4th Commandment. Had Jesus truly broken the Sabbath, then He would've sinned before Father God, we all would have no Savior, and all of humanity would've been destroyed.💯

The NEW COMMANDMENTS SPOKEN BY JESUS CHRIST
MATTHEW 5:21-48 “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: but I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: but I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: but I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

There are no Biblical grounds to ignore God's holy 7th day Sabbath. God is not the author of confusion; He says what He means and He means what He says. Jesus was without sin (sin is the transgression of the law), and therefore, He kept God's commandments.

I believe that given time many critics who are honest will recognize the inconsistency in their positions. The dishonest ones may not, but as they try to defend inconsistency, others will see how fallacious their positions are. Just a little advice, let the critic talk more and you will see what I mean. It is safe to say that there are two accusations being made by the Pharisees in verse 18, that John was simply recording (as a narrator or commentator would), and that by accepting the first accusation (breaking the Sabbath) you'd also have to accept the second accusation. Namely (as the 2nd accusation implies in the narrative), that God wasn't His Father, and therefore Jesus wouldn't be equal with God (see something similar in John 10:30-33).
It's a double accusation. Not an either or accusation!
Therefore, for the Sabbath breaking charge to be valid, critics would have to take the accusation in both its parts-they'd have to say that Jesus broke the Sabbath AND that Jesus wasn't equal with God, because in the narrative BOTH accusations are linked together, since they come from the same event!
Critics really need to think through their arguments carefully!

Why don’t you learn from these incidents ADL… wake up!
….don’t go live with these people. Do an interview with them first in private discussing as you have here on the video, then do a video addressing the topic in a q and a format so that Satan doesn’t have any opportunity to get a foothold in the videos you post as he did today again through you and mr Peterson.
Let the words that are spoken in your videos only be edifying for the listener… arguments such as these made between you and mr Peterson mainly him exerting his selfishness tear he as a guest should be given what he is not entitled to since it is not a debate where each debater receives his allotted time, are not edifying for the listener, they are down right passive aggressive and not of God.
Remember to allow the Bible itself to do the cutting for 1 John 2:3-6 is clear that
Anyone who says that they know God but break His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in them! So if Jesus broke the Sabbath then He is a liar and the truth is not in Him WHY?
because God goes on to tell us that we are to “walk as Jesus walked”, so now how is mr Peterson going to explain that we must walk as Jesus Who is the Son walked, if Jesus broke the Sabbath?
How about the fact that we TOO are called the sons and daughters of God? Are we not commanded to remember to keep the Sabbath holy? (Exodus 20:8-11) did Jesus not do this very thing according to John 15:10; Luke 4:16 obedient even in death keeping the Sabbath according to the commandment? (Luke 23:54-56)
You need to be able to think on your feet ADL if you are going to engage in debate (which you ought not to do since Jesus never debated),
    He asked questions and said
it is written opening the truth to His attackers.
Remember also that mr Peterson uses ONE scripture to try to build his counterfeit teaching on, which we all know is not supported by God’s word which requires a minimum of two witnesses to establish a matter, (Matthew 18:16; John 8:17; 2 Corinthians 13:1) two or three different persons all saying the same thing, correctly divided scripture btw (2 Timothy 2:16)
mr Peterson pits scripture against itself, which is not correctly dividing scripture to establish its truth (2 Timothy 2:15)
Another thing is that mr Peterson is not interested in understanding truth, (Psalm 119:151,160) he is only interested in pushing his point, cherry-picking John 5:18 as support for sin… forgetting that to break the Sabbath is sin, God has never broken the Sabbath for He does no servile work on it, perhaps mr Peterson is unaware if the fact that Jesus is the creator God (John 1:3) and that the Ten Commandments are a transcript of His character (Philippians 2:5) thus is my Peterson saying that God has no understanding of how He made His Sabbath to be kept? Has mr Peterson ever read 1 John 5:2,3 which declares that the commandments of God are not burdensome?
Mr Peterson by contrast thinks he is doing a good thing by trying to find ways to let God off the hook, and thinks that giving God permission to sin is the way to do so thus showing his Total lack of comprehension of the history being recorded by John, NOT JOHN SPEAKING BTW (2 Peter 1:19-21) forgetting perhaps that sin which equals darkness but that in God there is only LIGHT! Light chases away darkness (Genesis 1:1-5; John 1:1-5).
Each time you do these types of punch up videos, I believe it grieves the Holy Spirit because if we walk as Jesus walked, we will see that He never invited conflict.. be mindful of this. He never went out looking for trouble saying ask Me, I’ll throw the book at you! no, Jesus was mild, a gentle Man who opened the law and the prophets to expose error by speaking truth (Luke 24:27)… He only answered to defend truth when others came to Him and attacked Him, otherwise He went about minding His own business setting an example by His practise.
Mr Peterson forgets that the weekly Sabbath exists for ONE REASON ONLY, to identify Christ as the only life giver at creation (Genesis 2:1-3) and redemption (Deuteronomy 5:15) and debunking satans counterfeit theory of evolution, in which he teaches that there is no life giving creator God, Christ our Lord and that He cannot resurrect the dead because they belong to him (Jude 9)

I have warned them on other videos that this debating is generally not a good thing to do. I gave SOP quotes from Gospel Workers 1892 that shows that unless a specific point is in view, and the Holy Spirit so directs, we are NOT to debate anyone. We see in the Bible that Jesus himself only debated one time, showing that it is not a sin to debate, but it is generally not the best way to go.

WANT TO BLESS ALL THE BROTHERS & SISTERS WITH THIS POWERFUL QUOTE FROM PATRIARCHS AND PROPHETS.
    Psalms 85:10
“MERCY AND TRUTH are met TOGETHER; RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE have KISSED EACH OTHER.”
"If the LAW could be CHANGED, man might have been saved WITHOUT the sacrifice of CHRIST; but the fact that it was necessary for CHRIST to give HIS LIFE for the fallen race, PROVES that the LAW OF GOD will not release the sinner from its claims upon him. It is demonstrated that the wages of sin is death. When CHRIST died, the destruction of Satan was made certain. But if the LAW was abolished at the cross, as many claim, then the agony and death of GOD'S DEAR SON were endured only to give to Satan just what he asked; then the prince of evil triumphed, his charges against the divine government were sustained. The very fact that CHRIST bore the penalty of man's transgression is a mighty argument to all created intelligences that the LAW IS CHANGELESS; that GOD IS RIGHTEOUS, MERCIFUL, and SELF-DENYING; and that INFINITE JUSTICE AND MERCY UNITE in the administration of HIS GOVERNMENT." Those who hold that Christ abolished the law teach that He broke the Sabbath and justified His disciples in doing the same. Thus they are really taking the same ground as did the caviling Jews. In this they contradict the testimony of Christ Himself, who declared, "I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love." John 15:10. Neither the Saviour nor His followers broke the law of the Sabbath. Christ was a living representative of the law. No violation of its holy precepts was found in His life. Looking upon a nation of witnesses who were seeking occasion to condemn Him, He could say unchallenged, "Which of you convicteth Me of sin?" John 8:46

Peter, speaking of Paul's writings, mentioned that some of his writings were hard to understand, and some wrested (came up with false conclusions) and they did so to their own destruction.

Yahshua never sinned from the account of the Bible 1 Peter 2: 22, so if you believe the accusations of the Pharasies, then Yahshua couldn't have qualified for sin offering. He was also accused of using evil spirits to heal the blind man in John 9. His own family said one time that he Jesus was mad. Do you believe all these accusations? 1 John 3:4 says, " Sin is the transgression of the law, so if Jesus broke the SABBATH, the he Jesus is a sinner and therefore does not fit for a SAVOUR.

I got a response asking if the Sabbath is for Christians? According to all of the new testament and James 2:10 the Sabbath is for all Christians for all time. But if you know of a new denomination that will get me to heaven abrogating the law of God, sign me up. For I'm not too averse to fornication, adultery, stealing etc. coveting my neighbors wife just like king David. lying, bearing false witness. You get the point. But really it doesn't take many sins to keep you from heaven, it only takes one sin to make you a law breaker (rebellion) in God's eyes to keep you out of the kingdom.

7th day Sabbath was given to Israel as part of the previous covernant and was never change. Jews continue to observe the 7th day Sabbath, so nothing has change.
Jesus also kept the 7th day Sabbath because he is a Jew born under the law, and as his Jewish custom was, that is correct thing for him to do.
However, under the new covernant, which we gentiles comes in, there is no 7th day Sabbath and Jesus never teach the keeping of 7th day Sabbath. In fact, his disciples broke the 7th day sabbath law according to the Jews, and he defended them, because he is the Lord of the Sabbath.
The apostles and the early christians began to break bread and sharing the Word of God on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). Breaking of bread is the same as our worship service today. In 321AD, Emperor Constantine only endorse what was already practice by early christians.
And the Jews continue to keep the 7th day Sabbath as this was part of a covernant made between them and God. We gentiles were not part of that covernant.
Gentiles enjoy the same blessings but under a new covernant by Jesus Christ. We continue to obey God but not through the law written on a stone tablet, which was part of the old covernant. We obey God through Jesus Christ who put his laws in our heart, the substance of the stone tablet.
Just as the animal sacrifice is the shadow of Christ as sacrifice, animal's blood is the shadow of the blood of Jesus, the 7th day Sabbath is the shadow of God's Sabbath rest made available to us in Christ. (Mathew 11:28-29), a rest for our soul.
God rested on the 7th day after creation, and remain in his Sabbath rest to this day. He never kept it every 7th day of the week, the way he commanded Israel to keep, because that was the shadow (Colossians 2:16-17) of his true rest made available in Christ. The 7th day in Genesis only begins with evening but no morning which means, we are still in the 7th day today and God is still in his rest.
So the Jews were commanded to keep the Sabbath day (Shadow), but more importantly, they were expected of God to enter the land of Canaan (type of God's Sabbath Rest, Hebrew 4:8) and remain in it. Unfortunately, They didn't because of unbelief.
So under Christ, we still keep the Sabbath, but not the way Israel kept it. We keep it the way God kept it since creation. It must be a dwelling place for our soul to rest from worries, stress and all anxieties of life that suppress our soul and not a one day church service in week.
With regards to the day, let no one judge you (Colossians 2:16-17) as we now have access to the Sabbath rest (substance), Sabbath day(Shadow) no longer matters.
Hebrew 4:7, We have a new Sabbath day called "TODAY". Today we must enter into the Sabbath Rest of God and remain in it For God entered into his rest after creation and he remain in it to this day.
That is the way we should keep the Sabbath under Christ and his covernant. This is not disobedience to the law, it's fulfilling the Sabbath law under the new covernant. (Matthew 5:17). Even the Jews or the Adventist who observe the 7th Sabbath day must also enter into the Sabbath Rest of God. It is possible for you to keep the shadow(Day) and miss out on the substance (Rest).
Worship shall be a daily lifestyle.
Isaiah 66:23 From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me," says the Lord. That means, worship must be your daily life style, not an activity you perform one day in a week
When Jesus returns, we will enter into his Sabbath rest and remain in it for the entire millennium just as God enter and remain in his sabbath rest since creation. We will not keep it the way he commanded Israel to keep under the previous covernant which was only the shadow. God never change, but the way he relates to man and man relates to him change under the new covernant in Christ.

Hebrews 4:7 was quoting Psalm 95. This means that the rest being referred to was not a new rest, but a rest the was available in David's day. David still kept the Sabbath Holy while being in that rest.

Wrong. Not only did the Sabbath exist many centuries before Israel became a nation, Exo. 31:16 shows God clearly stating that the Sabbath is an eternal covenant that is _independent_ of the Sinai Covenant. Furthermore, Christ's physical ethnicity was NOT the reason He observed it. He observed it because it is permanently enshrined in the Decalogue as law. Rejecting or profaning the Sabbath is sin(1 Jhn 3:4), regardless of the person's ethnicity.

We both agree on Sabbath, there's no question on that.
However, you emphasize on Sabbath day (Shadow), I emphasize on Sabbath Rest (Substance).
That's the problem with Israel. They keep the shadow well, but miss out on the Sabbath Rest.
Since Sabbath Rest is made available in Christ, we gentiles enter into it and remain in it, as God enter into his Sabbath Rest since creation and remain in to this day. You cannot find the Sabbath Rest on the 7th day because that's just the shadow. You only find it in Christ. Jews can keep the 7th day Sabbath since it is part of their covernant with God. But they are required to enter into the Sabbath Rest of God as emphasize by Hebrew 4. And the day to enter God's rest is today, which means everyday.

Afterwards, you went on to monopolize the conversation by expressing what YOU believe John meant vs what he said in that verse, and I was not given time to continue my thoughts, as I kept asking for, and as you’re probably aware monopolizing a conversation may cause the other person to lose their train of thought and/or questions. I showed you respect by not interrupting you: although you kept interrupting me when it was my time to speak. My silence while you spoke was not because I agreed or disagreed with anything you said, it was me honestly listening and showing the respect that I give to all and expect in return. You should really work on this. 🙏 If you take a closer listen, I even verbally expressed my agreement with certain things you went on to express (freeing the sabbath day) even if we may have different takes on what that meant, and you would have heard mine-as I did yours-if you would have chosen to allow me to speak. Go back to the original video @58:12 @1:07:00 and you’ll see that I was given the floor, but you guys monopolized and you (mostly Cotto) interrupted without allowing me to freely continue on to lay out my thoughts which caused the conversation to pivot to John 5:18 off of your interruption and question Cotto.
Again, since you also agreed that John said that Christ broke the sabbath, I am asking that you change the title of the video to include yourselves or to take the clip down. Why do you all create such a false dichotomy? Either A) Jesus broke the Sabbath or B) Jesus loosened the Sabbath?
Jesus said He was working like His Father is also working (the Sabbath commandment expressly forbids work on the Sabbath), John said Jesus broke the Sabbath, the Pharisees said Jesus broke the Sabbath, so why can't it be C) Jesus both broke and loosened the Sabbath? He also instructed others to do so as well (e.g. the disciples were given permission to pick grain and the healed paralytic was told to take his bed)
This is evidence that the Sabbath is a ceremonial law. Jesus broke all kinds of ceremonial laws and yet didn't sin - He touched lepers, dead bodies etc, and wasn't ceremonially unclean. Why are you twisting scripture to suit your beliefs? Let the Word speak for itself.
