  • The go-to scripture that critics use to supposedly "prove" the Seventh-day Sabbath was done away with. But what does Colossians 2:16 really mean in its context and when compared to the rest of scripture? Can we gather help from where, perhaps, Paul is quoting from? #sabbath #sda #adventistchurch #seventhdayadventist #ellengwhite #christianity #christ #jesus #god #adventist #sdachurch #apologetics #lordsday

    People will say many things to fit their lifestyle. That includes keeping the sabbath or not, what animals are ok to eat (many "christians" eat pork), what type of music is ok to listen to, etc... I keep the sabbath and feel that GOD made it holy for a reason. I can't force anyone to do what I do, that's between them and GOD. If one has ears, let them hear.

    • @OurSavior-xr3yc
      @OurSavior-xr3yc 11 дней назад

      That is correct. We're not supposed to judge in those things. However, we're instructed to still bring the truth to people and then like you say that their ears here are not, but that also means if we know the truth we are to keep it. There's a lot of people who hear the truth and choose not to keep it. So it's still a commandment, but we just don't force it down. Their throats like they're trying to do now. In the public spectrum like we predicted through prophecy that they would.

    If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on *my holy day* and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
    {Isaiah 58:13}
    Is God's holy day no longer honorable?
    Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that *I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah*
    {Jeremiah 31:31}
    No covenant was made with the Gentiles. The Gentiles are grafted in to the Holy One Of Israel, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

    The sabbaths is in plural because it is referring to the 7 ceremonial sabbaths the jews celebreted throughout the year. Each of them lasted like seven straight days and included offering of meat, drink and burnt offering. It doesn't refer to the 7th day sabbath

    All of Colossians has been grossly misinterpreted . These are all about the ceremonial laws, Sacrifices of Lambs for sin, Feast Days, meat and drink offerings, ceremonial sabbath days which were yearly, on different days of the week, because they were controlled by the New Moon. The seventh day Sabbath were never call Handwritings of Ordinances, never said to be against us nor contrary to us, never nailed to the Cross.
    Jesus fulfilled all the ceremonial laws at the Cross. The Ten Commandments are still in tact, including the seventh day Sabbath.
    Many misinterpret text to make them say what they want them to say, not what they actually are saying to their own destruction. 2 Peter 3 15-17

    One thing I noticed, when you are showing that all the “shadows” or ceremonial “Sabbaths” have a references to : meats, drinks, bread and made by fire etc… .
    The Sabbath of the fourth commandment ( the moral law) even in Leviticus 23:3 it doesn’t have any references to drinks, meats or sacrifices made by fire….. Why??
    Because this Sabbath commandment it is NOT A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME.
    In other words the Sabbath is a sinless institution.

    So lets ask:-
    The claim of ancient Meaddes/Persians, the Popes and the Almighty is that they do not change or rescind laws, why do people insist God changed His?
    God gave the death penalty for breaking His Seventh Day Sabbath and people did die, is it then fair and just not to do the same for new covenant era?
    When God made the new covenant with Man, He says He'll write His Laws upon our hearts, what are they?
    When God made the new agreement with Man, did He change the substance of the old covenant?
    Did God make any other day special?
    Isn't it disrespectful and disobedient to willfully go against God when He says for us to "remember"?
    God calls us to come and reason.
    Jesus goes to the Synagogue on the seventh day sabbath as a Christ follower, don't let Him go alone, follow Him.
    Don't be deceived.

      @AdventDefenseLeague I understand that the Sabbath is not a feast("chag"). I understand that leviticus 23 sets the Sabbath apart from all other appointed times "moed".
      My question, I guess, would be how do we explain the additional sacrifices that were to be made on the Sabbath referred to in Numbers 28:9,10? You had the daily sacrifices that were to be offered on the Sabbath like any other day, but God also found it important to add two additional sacrifices on the Sabbath day. How do we reconcile the need for these, and what answers do we give when individuals say that the weekly Sabbath is ceremonial and include these ceremonial rites and Bible passage for their justification??
      Although it doesn't say out right that these additional sacrifices make atonement for sin. The additional sacrifices to that of the daily seem infer to me at least that the Sabbath in some way had a propitiatory component to it.
      So how do we draw the line when it comes to this passage when we say that the weekly Sabbath was not ceremonial or used as a shadow of the forgiveness of sin. I hope that made sense.

    • @AdventDefenseLeague
      @AdventDefenseLeague  3 месяца назад +1

      @ballenparks1231 That's a great question. I'll share some thoughts, and you let me know what you think.
      The sacrifices, no matter the quantity, would not make the seventh day Sabbath ceremonial any more than it would make the first day, or second day, or third day ceremonial. If sacrifices makes the day ceremonial, why aren't the other days ceremonial since sacrifices were done on those days also? As I see it, the day remains just a day whether or not ceremonial sacrifices are performed on it. Likewise, the Sabbath remains the Sabbath, with its moral aspect, no matter the sacrifices done upon it. This is mainly because the Sabbath can exist apart from those sacrifices since it has been a weekly institution since creation.
      Similarly, the feast days are ceremonial, not because the day is ceremonial, but because the significance placed upon the day with its rituals are ceremonial. Note that under certian circumstances, Passover can be observed on the fourteenth day of the second month instead of the fourteenth day of the first month (Num. 9:1-14). Not that this changes the Passover day, but that the exception at least implies its ceremonial, changeable nature. But this is never the case for the Sabbath. The Sabbath is never observed on any other day under any circumstance. It has been the seventh day from creation. I think this evinces its moral nature.
      Moreover, sacrifices were attached in some fashion to all of God's laws, including the moral ones. Weren't the Israelites supposed to bring sacrifices when they broke any of the other nine commandments as well? And yet, that would not make those nine commandments ceremonial. No, only the offerings were ceremonial. The nine remained moral. Just like how on the seventh day, the sacrifices were ceremonial while the sacred day itself remained moral.
      Why sacrifices on the Sabbath though? And why double on the Sabbath? I don't really know, and the context of Num. 28 doesn't tell us. So, what follows is only what makes sense in my mind. You are welcomed to take it with a grain of salt.
      Why on the Sabbath? Perhaps because if the sacrifices represent Jesus, we need to walk with Him every day, including on the seventh day. Every day His blood should be available to wash away the sins of anyone who decides to come to Him. And why double the sacrifices on the Sabbath? Maybe because of the Sabbaths special significance. It represents both creation (Gen. 2:2-3, Exo. 20:11) and redemption (Deut. 5:15), two qualities of Jesus who is both the creator and the redeemer. The seventh day is especially special due to these biblical motifs. Bringing in more sacrifices on that day, I am sure, gave it greater importance to the minds of the Israelites. Everyday I rest, but I rest more on the Sabbath. Everyday I witness, but I witness more on the Sabbath. It's a special day, so it gets better treatment. And in those days, sacrifices were very important.
      I'm not sure if this helped you but it helped me as I thought about lol. Blessings.

    No, it doesn't say you do not have to keep the sabbath, it says what day. Specifically. I was taught as SDA Saturday the 7th day in Leviticus. But I've always had the question how do I defend this against those who say Sunday we know was because of festivals on Sunday. But we follow the day Jesus rested when killed. But Jews followed Saturday before Christ came and died. Paul said we will not be judged by the RULES we follow. He incl Sabbath dayS as in what day referring back to Levitucus. So by God, are we 'required' to keep 'Saturday' as the day of rest?

    For Christ is the end [objective] of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
    {Romans 10:4}
    That the righteousness of the law *might be fulfilled in us* who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
    For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but *they that are after the Spirit* the things of the Spirit.
    For to be carnally minded is death; but *to be spiritually minded is life and peace*
    Because *the carnal mind is enmity against God* for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
    {Romans 8:4-7}
    I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then *with the mind I myself serve the law of God* but with the flesh the law of sin.
    {Romans 7:25}
    Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or *of obedience* unto righteousness?
    {Romans 6:16}
    For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
    So speak ye, and so do, *as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty*
    {James 2:11-12}
    Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole *duty* of man.
    {The Preacher 12:13}

      It’s funny that most Christians don’t have a problem with the other 9 commandments. It’s always the Sabbath that’s under attack. If the law could be changed this easy then Jesus death on the cross was in vain. He died to uphold the law and to pay the penalty for us transgressing it. The text is obviously referring to what food or drink is consumed on a Festival New Moon or Sabbath day. Not what day the Festival New Moon or Sabbath is honored. You would be more intellectually honest applying the verse as you can eat leavened bread on the feast of unleavened bread. Or you can eat an animal that died of itself. Or that you can consume an unclean animal. Or you can consume meat that was strangled. Or that you can drink blood. Rather than following Popery with a Sun god sabbath. The Jewish Jerusalem Church Elders answered gentile Christians concerns to abstain from strangled meat & blood. And that the4y will hear Moses preached in every Synagogue. Therefore gentile Christians were expected to attend Synagogue to learn what Yehovah commanded through His Prophet Moses. Such logic would interpret Peter's vision as all animals are good to eat. But the message was that all men are acceptable to GOD.

    What does Peter have to say on the matter?
    Acts 15:6-11, 'The apostles and elders met to consider this question. After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles (those without the covenant of the law) might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He did not discriminate between us (who were under the law, through Moses) and them (who were not), for he purified their hearts by faith. Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles A YOKE (the law given through Moses) that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? NO! WE BELIEVE IT IS THROUGH GRACE WE ARE SAVED THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, JUST AS THEY ARE.'

    • @thatnicekid04
      @thatnicekid04 5 месяцев назад

      The yoke was circumcision in the context. The issue was not the 10 Commandments. They were supposed to learn more about the will of God every Sabbath.
      Acts 15:
      1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, 👉Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.👈
      5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to 👉circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.👈
      10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put 👉a yoke👈 upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
      Acts 15:21

      @@thatnicekid04 Thanks for your comment. I appreciate the discussion. You are partly correct that the original question was about circumcison. However, it became a wider issue, to be also including the observance of the law of Moses, as Acts 15:5 says, 'But some from the religious party of the Pharisees who had believed stood up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise the Gentiles AND TO ORDER THEM TO OBSERVE THE LAW OF MOSES.”
      So, circumcision, if that was merely the context, doesn't seem to me to be much of a 'yoke upon the neck, which we or our forefathers were able to bear'. Or, looking at it another way; juxtaposing circumcision with faith through the grace, hardly seems to be the appropriate comparison they would have been making.
      Verse 21 is interesting, though, as to why James felt the need to make it. And it could be infered, as you are doing, that James is saying, the Gentiles can learn these things later.
      However, I believe Peter's statement, 'But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they', is not just speaking about circumcision
      Someone once, similarly, made the comment that Romans 2 was merely about circumcision. However Roms 2:20, says, 'Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.' Paul is not speaking of circumcision because circumcision doesn't make anyone conscious of their sin. Paul goes on in verse 21, 'But now a righteousness of God APART FROM THE LAW has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.' Cheers

    That verse was a general reference but also written by Paul. Paul himself held the sabbath but taught others not to. Paul was not known for being honest and upright and even took his message in the opposite direction geographically than the actual companions of Jesus because they could easily refute him. Paul never met Jesus and merely claimed to have a vision of Jesus, which is the exact same claim that Joseph smith made who founded moralism. Those who actually knew Jesus did not believe in what Paul spoke of. The Bible itself is full of fabrications and known errors. Firstly, Paul did not write all that is claimed to be from him. There are so many verses found throughout the New Testament that aren’t original. 1 John 5:7 is the only reference to a trinity and the verse is fabricated. It was not found in any early manuscript and was added into the Latin vulgate. We even know who added and why. The entire story of the adulterous woman is 100% fabricated. Again, scholars know and speak of this. Sunday was never a day singled out by Jesus or any of his followers for religious service. Also, Christmas, Easter, etc all are deeply rooted in paganism and have nothing to do with the Bible at all. Scholars know this and talk about it.

    The Old Testament is a history book to me (being a Christian) and not doctrine at all. My Doctrine starts at Acts. I go by what Jesus says and only Jesus for he is the one that died for my sins and the only reason why I am making it into Heaven. IMO - The Devil got busy when Jesus died and the first line on business is to move the Sabath to Sunday and get everyone thinking Jesus is God. That way it will be easier for everyone to worship him like God if everyone already things the Messiah is actually really God. and it is working big time. Remember, we will all be gone when the final stages take place.

    Sabbath is a law of the old. When Christ came, many have changed, the priesthood and even the law (law of Moses) Heb. 7:12. In fact, the old law and prophets have limitations Luke 16:16. What everybody should do now is to follow the laws of Jesus Galatians 6:2. Jesus even reminded all to observe all that He commanded for all that He commanded where from the the Father John 7:16 and John 12:49-50. Now, if you wish to keep the sabbath, then you subject/enbrace yourself under the law of Moses. My 2 cents.

      1 John 3:4 tells us that sin is transgression of the Law of God.

    This verse is twisted to rebuke the Sabbath and to honor the Sunday created by the Catholic Pope, when it is defending the traditions of the Jewish people which still keep the Sabbath and festivals of their faith. When you change the things God instructs then twist the scripture to defend your changes. Sunday is still not the Sabbath but the majority of many Christians follow it but take this verse to criticize the Bible Sabbath and defend the Pope’s Sunday. If you can’t deny something than twist the meaning to confuse the people.

    I think the SDA needs to start considering the possibility that Paul was a false apostle, and disregard everything he says. There are many examples where Paul says things that conflict with the words of Peter, James, and Jesus himself. He uses torturous interpretations of scripture, quotes it out of context, and in some cases, quotes only parts of scriptures, which changes the meaning when you leave out the parts that he omits, while still retaining an air of legitimacy. I do not believe that Paul had an experience on the Damascus road, or if he did, it was not Jesus that he encountered. He says that he encountered a voice emanating from a blinding, white light, and who does the Bible tell us appears as an angel of light? Satan. Paul persecuted Christians, but despite his persecutions, Christianity continued to grow. If he couldn't stop it from growing, I believe he (possibly in partnership with Satan), decided to introduce confusion and falsehoods into early Christianity, to lure Christians away from Jesus. The way to prove if a prophet is true, or false, is to compare what they say to scripture, and when you compare Paul's words to scripture, he fails the test more often than he passes it.

    What I dont understand that how anyone, clergy or congregation, could believe for even one second that Yahweh or Jesus would do away with the Ten Commandments which include the Sabbath rest day. Does God say things, and latter say oooops I made a mistake? There are 2 reasons they CHOOSE to believe this lie.
    1/ Because the one suggesting this is not sent by Jesus
    2/ Because it is the easy and wide path that suits people.
    Very few are sincere with their faith in God Yahweh. If they were, they would keep His commandments.
    Edit: BTW... is the coming of Paul mentioned by God, or by Jesus, or by any prophet from the OT? Think about this.... the only reference anywhere in the whole bible that God sent Paul is by his own testimony. Strange right? And yet every man and his dog chooses to follow Paul while relegating Yahweh and Jesus to the rear. Very sad, and is why not all who say Lord Lord will enter heaven.

Paul put on a big act in front of the Jewish hierarchy in obedience to the law, and as soon as they saw he was "acting" like a true man of God, they gave him permission to preach the "Gospel of Jesus" which Paul did not. Paul then left Jerusalem and preached the opposite to what the Jews and Peter and co witnessed of Paul. Suppose I wanted a gun license to purchase a gun and kill someone I did not like, but to get that gun license I had to display a good character and pass a test. God will judge these men for their dishonesty. Why didn't you point your audience to read how the princes part was fulfilled in Ezekiel. So they can see that the sabbath of chapter 45:17 was the seventh day of the week. And since you agree that it is the same list in Colossians 2, it is also the seventh day sabbath. Also why don't you use the same lexicon to show the meaning of the word translated as feasts in Leviticus. Show them that this word is moedim in Hebrew, and it means appointed times. The basic meaning of this word is appointment ,and the context will determine whether it is appointed times, appointed places or the appointment itself. No it is abundantly clear that the seventh day was an appointed time, as were the others which were yearly occurrences. So there is no rationality in arguing that the seventh day sabbath was not a feast day like the others listed. That argument boils down to you saying that, that appointed time is not an appointed time, but the other appointed times are appointed times.

    Christians need not keep Sabbaths? A biblical approach:
    In Acts 15, a conflict emerges when Jewish Converts insist that the Gentiles must be circumcised or they cannot be saved. Acts 15:1
    Paul and Barnabus go to Jerusalem to meet with the Apostles and Elders to settle the matter. Acts 15:2
    Once they arrive in Jerusalem with the Apostles and Elders, the Pharisees demand that to be saved the Gentiles must be circumcised, and keep the Law of Moses. Acts 15:3
    There is great discussion and argumentation over the matter, and James expresses their answer: Acts 15:20 “but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.” That is their decision.
    And so, they decide to write a letter to the Gentiles to tell them what they are expected to observe. Acts 15:22
    Luke quotes the letter, and it contains this: Acts 15:24 “Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law”-to whom we gave no such commandment-“ Notice! Here there is no commandment to observe any Law of Moses instructions.
    And then in Acts 15:28,29 they are given their instructions: “ For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.” Notice! These are the required things. But no burden of keeping the Law of Moses.
    This subject pops up again in Acts 21. Paul again goes to Jerusalem and visits James and the Elders. He is accused of not keeping the Law, which Jews must do. And for the THIRD time the instructions for Gentiles is plainly expressed most clearly:
    Acts 21:24,25 “you yourself (Paul) also walk orderly and keep the law. 25 But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.”
    And there, for the third and final time, the Pillars of the Church had determined, that as a good Jew, Paul was to observe the Law. And that the Gentiles were absolutely not to observe those things! Which included Sabbaths. They had their instructions from the Apostles that did not include the Law of Moses! There is no Sabbath observance apart from the Law of Moses.

    In the King James Bible, Colossians 2:16, the word 'days' is in italics, which means it was added at the discretion of the translator and not present in the original text. So it's not the sabbath day, or the sabbath days, it's simply the sabbath. The following verse, v)17 explains by the phrase, "Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is [of] Christ." All the things listed in v)16, meat, drink, holyday, new moon, sabbath, are all shadows. Shadows of what? Shadows of Christ. Christ is our sabbath. As Christians, Christ is our all in all. How? Because we are no longer worshiping in flesh, we worship The Lord in spirit and in truth. The Old Covenant saints worshiped through their flesh, keeping rituals, ordinances, holy days, etc. In the New Covenant,, we worship not through our flesh, but by The Holy Spirit. In essence, we are celebrating sabbath/Christ always, hence there is no specific day.

      *@kiimahndonah:* “Ceremonial” originally described a purely religious ritual, from the Latin caerimonia, "holiness or sacredness.
      The Etymology Dictionary defines Ceremonial as, "belonging to (religious) ritual," also as a noun, "a ceremonial practice," from Late Latin caerimonialis "pertaining to ceremony," from caerimonia. Ceremonial means connected with or constituting or consisting of or fit for a ceremony [i.e. a piece of ritual or formality] or ceremonies .... Ceremonious means full of or resulting from ceremony i.e. attention to forms.
      *The ceremonial laws are called hukkim or chuqqâh in Hebrew Strong’s ref H2708, which literally means “custom of the nation” or ordinance.* They include instructions on regaining right standing with God [e.g., sacrifices and other ceremonies regarding “uncleanness”], remembrances of God’s work in Israel [e.g., feasts and festivals], specific regulations meant to distinguish Israelites from their pagan neighbors (e.g., dietary and clothing restrictions), and signs that point to the coming Messiah [e.g., Circumcision, Passover etc,.].
      Deuteronomy refers to the Jewish laws as, *"Law in a book"* [Deuteronomy 31:24-26]. This "Law in a book was kept, *"in the side of the ark"*
      *Pivotal Point:* The ten commandments were placed *INSIDE the ark of the testimony [ark of the covenant] See Exodus 40:20.*
      *The 'book of the law' which contained the handwriting of ordinances [ceremonial laws] was placed BESIDE the ark,* NOT inside, and notice the last few words of the above scripture ..... 'for a witness against thee.' ..... *Paul confirmed in Colossians, that it was the handwriting of ordinances THAT WERE AGAINST US, which were taken out of the way and nailed to the cross.* -- *The truth is, it was the 'book of the law' written by Moses, containing the 'handwriting of ordinances' that was against us and nailed to the cross, NOT the Ten commandments.* -- *And the fact that the ten commandments and the 'book of the law' were placed separately apart, shows a clear distinction between the two.*
      *This law centered around the sanctuary and its services, all of which, of course, were designed to teach the children of Israel the plan of salvation and point them to the coming Messiah.*
      Paul utilizes the key word 'ordinances' to describe ceremonial laws that were related to the sanctuary. From Colossians 2:14-17, we read the following:"2:14-17 *Blotting out the HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.* 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of *an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:* 17 *Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."*
      *Read the commentary by John Wesley:* - *‘This handwriting of ordinances our Lord did blot out, take away and nail to the cross (Colossians 2:14). But the moral law contained in the Ten Commandments, and enforced by the prophets, He did not take away..... The moral law stands on an entirely different foundation from the ceremonial or ritual law ... Every part of this law (Ten Commandments) must remain in force upon all mankind and in all ages.’* - John Wesley, Sermons on Several Occasions, 2-Vol. Edition, Vol I, pages 221-222.
      Colossians 2:16 does not refer to everyday food or drinks that we use to satisfy our hunger *but rather sanctuary service ordinances.* Thus, it is clear that the passage of Colossians 2:16 cannot be used to justify the eating of everything, especially unclean food. The 'meats' or 'drinks', as we can see from Scripture, it denotes sanctuary service ordinances that came to an end at the death of Christ. Moreover, according to Paul's words in Colossians 2:16, it is clear that the celebration of the monthly new moon festivals [see 1 Chronicles 23:31; 2 Chronicles 2:4; Nehemiah 10:33], which were also related to the sanctuary came to an end when Christ died on the cross.
      In the passage above, *Paul utilizes the term 'the handwriting of ordinances' to describe the kind of law he is describing in the passage.* This key expression helps us to quickly recognise that Paul is referring to the ceremonial laws of the sanctuary. According to Paul, the ceremonial laws of the sanctuary were nailed to the cross at the death of Christ [review Matthew 27:50-51]. As a result, sanctuary service ordinances such as meats, drinks, holidays, new moons, and the *ANNUAL SABBATH DAYS* were no longer binding upon God's people. As Paul rightly put them, they were all a shadow of things to come [compare Colossians 2:15-16 with Hebrews 9:9-10].
      From the book of Hebrews, Paul uses similar expressions in relation to the sanctuary service ordinances. From Hebrews 9:9-10, we read the following from the apostle Paul in relation to the sanctuary ordinances: "9:9 Which was a *FIGURE* for the time then present, in which were offered both *GIFTS AND SACRIFICES,* that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 9:10 Which stood only in *MEATS and DRINKS, and DIVERS WASHINGS, and CARNAL ORDINANCES,* imposed on them until the time of reformation."
      Can you see the similarities between the expressions used in Colossians 2:16-17 and Hebrews 9:9-10? I know you can't miss the clear similarities. You see beloved, for us to appreciate the sanctuary service terminologies that Paul utilized in His epistles to the Colossians and Hebrews, we have to go back to the Old Testament and get some clues about the sanctuary service ordinances.
      From Leviticus 23:37, we read the following in relation to some of the ordinances of the sanctuary: "These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a *MEAT OFFERING, a sacrifice, and DRINK OFFERINGS,* every thing upon his day" [see also Leviticus 23:18].
      *These ceremonial laws were practised long before the cross and is not part of the Moral Law/Ten Commandments of God.* - *The Sabbath days in Col. **2:16** are Ceremonial Sabbaths such as:* the Passover and the Day of Atonements and four others. [Read about the Ceremonial Sabbath: *One* Ex.12:15; Lev.23:5-7; Num.28;17-18; *Two* Ex.12:16; Num.28:24-25; *Three* Lev.23:24-25; Num. 29:1; *Four* Lev. 16:29-31; 23:27-32; Num.29:7. *Five* Lev.23:23,35; Num. 29:12. *Six* Lev.23:39; *Seven* Lev. 23:15-16,21; Deut. 16:9-10]. *As you can clearly see, these annual sabbaths fell on a different day of the week every year.*
      *Ceremonial Sabbaths:*
      *1.* - *Spoken by Moses* [Exodus 24:3]
      *2.* - *Written by Moses hand on paper* [Exodus 24:4]
      *3.* - *Stored on the outside of the Ark* [Deuteronomy 31:26]
      *4.* - *These were kept because of sin* [See Leviticus]
      *5.* - *They were not love* [Colossians 2:14, Galatians 4:9-10]
      *6.* - *They were bondage* [Galatians 4:9-10, Colossians 2:14]
      *7.* - *Were established after sin* [Exodus 20:24]
      *8.* - *Were made after Sinai* [Exodus 20:24]
      *9.* - *Only for the children of Israel - Jews* [Read Old Testament
      *10.* - *God calls it HER sabbaths* [Hosea 2:11, Lamentations 1:7]
      *11.* - *Were nailed to the cross* [Colossians 2:14, Ephesians 2:15]

    It is not proven that Paul is a Apostle. I'll give $10,000 to anyone who can name at least 2 witnesses/companions of Paul from Acts 9, 22, or 26. Let alone explain why his story changes each time. In fact, he is the False Apostle Christ points out in Revelation 2:2. There are only 12 Apostles ; Revelation 21:14. I could go on and on. James letter is railing against the lies of Paul. The Fulfillment of the Law
    17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. :: Follow Christ , The Way, Truth, Life...

      Luke is a witness to Paul's many travels as he wrote in Acts. Luke also says Barnabas was his companion, another witness. And Peter speaks approvingly of Paul, even calling him "brother" (2 Peter 3:15). Please Zelle the payment to: adl.qanda@gmail.com.

      Son, Second Peter was pseudo-authored in the 4th century to justify Paul. Name any witnesses along the road with Paul???? That's the question. Peter and James hated Paul and Christ condemns him in Revelation 2:2. The Sabbath is the 7th day as described 116 times in the Old Testament over 50 times in the NT, counting the Tares/Weeds if Paul's letters as planted overnight by Satan. Paul burn in Hell...... Take that to bank you arrogant putz/

      @@benadam3284why are you so against Paul? Has Paul written something that you believe is false?
      Historically Paul is a major reason that the Gospel has spread around the world.

      @@benadam3284Peter thought that Paul was legit. Do you disagree with Peter?
      2 Peter 3:
      15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
      16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
