If not Adam then who does he think that God bless the sabbath day for?

@@valeriejohnson4204: Adam and Eve are presented as non-ethnic and non-national because they represent all people of all ethnicities.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27. *[Does this verse say God created Israelites/Jews?]* *No ethnic groups are mentioned.*
The original Hebrew *always* uses the word ‘Adam’ [אָדָם] to describe ‘man’. But after the woman was created - the Hebrew Bible uses the word ‘Ish’ [איש] which is ‘man’, and this goes together with the Hebrew word for a ‘woman’ ‘ishshah’ [אישה].
The Greek word for man is anthropos, which literally means “a person,” being a generic term that includes men, women, and children. The word “mankind” would more accurately reflect the meaning of anthropos.

When Adventists teach that Adam kept the Sabbath there are many objections *but there are Sunday-keeping coalition groups that do say God gave the commandments to Adam and Even. *Surely if it's given then it is meant to be obeyed.* Below find extracts from a Devotional by Ligon Duncan.
The First paragraph reads, "The law of God helps us to know God, know ourselves, know our need...It helps us to know God because it specifically reveals his character and his attributes, his holy will, what he’s like."
The Second paragraph reads, "Paul tells us in Romans 1 that everyone knows right and wrong. *But the law of God very specifically reveals to us God’s character and his own moral qualities. Morality is not arbitrary.... God does not require us to do things that he is not prepared to do himself. So all morality is rooted in God’s character."*
    *Here is the punchline:*
*"When God originally gave his commands to Adam and Eve in the garden, he gave those commands to them as blessings."*
**Did you get that?* read the above line again.
Ligon further says, *"They weren’t things upon which his love was contingent. He loved them and blessed them in the garden. And their obedience to the commands was the very sphere in which they enjoyed that blessedness."*
*He continues,* - *"And when we are saved by Christ, when we are united to Christ, we are able to walk in a manner that is worthy of the gospel. We are to live in a manner that is like the Lord Jesus Christ. And he delighted in obeying God. And so the law of God shows us what that life of peace and blessedness is like. It shows us what it’s like to live a life worthy of the gospel once we’ve trusted in Jesus Christ."*

So, God is the originator of the Sabbath at creation, and He never told anyone to keep it until He gave the Sabbath to only the Jews when He gave the Ten Commandments at Sinai. So, then for 930 years Adam never celebrated the Sabbath.
*This claim that God never told Adam and Eve to keep the Sabbath and never intended for them or anyone else [Christians] except the Jews, is absurd.*
    *Consider the following:*
*1,* Why are we only hearing of it now 6000 years after creation?
*2.* If the Sabbath was never given to Adam and Eve and was only intended for the Jews up until the cross, then why did Constantine think to change the Sabbath to Sunday in March of 321?
*3.* How does one change something that no longer exists?
*4.* If the Sabbath was only for the Jews and was abolished, why was this not common knowledge to the Catholic universal church 300 years after the cross?
God declared the seventh day Holy at creation, which means He set the day apart from secular use. When you declare something, *you do not declare it to yourself.*
*A declaration is an explicit public statement or announcement. Adam and Eve surely were aware of this declaration.*
*The Sabbath was made at creation. Therefore, God created the Sabbath for mankind.* Mark 2:27 says the Sabbath was made for man. *The purpose of the New Covenant is to restore things to their original setting before sin.* -- *With the New Covenant the law is written in our hearts.* -- *And I believe it was written on Adam and Eve’s hearts.* The Sabbath was then given more as a gift than a command.
*While the commandment to not commit murder was yet to be written in stone it was to be written in the heart in the beginning.* When Cain killed Abel, God called it sin, which is breaking the law. See Genesis 4:17. *In Genesis 26:5 God says Abraham regarded His laws and commandments. In Genesis 39:9 while there was no commandment written on stone saying not to commit adultery and Joseph was not living in the land of the Jews, he still recognized even in Egypt sleeping with another man’s wife was a sin [Premarital Sex is fornication Heb. 13:4; also read Matthew 15:19; Mark 7:21. [1 John 3:4 Sin is lawlessness]. In Exodus 16 God tests the Jews to see if they would keep his Sabbath and His commandments even though they were not written on stone yet.
The Hebrew word "shâbath” H7673" translated rest in Genesis 2:2 is the same word in Exodus 5:5 where Pharaoh accuses Moses of making the people ""shâbath” H7673". Had Moses reminded the people to rest from their work on the Sabbath?
    Genesis 2:2 *”And on the *seventh H7637* - *day H3117* - *God H430* - *ended H3615* - *his work H4399* - *which H834* he had *made; H6213* and he *rested H7673* on the *seventh H7637* - *day H3117* from - *all H4480 H3605* - *his work H4399* - *which H834* - he had *made H6213.”* KJV
    Exodus 5:5 “And *Pharaoh H6547* - *said H559* - *Behold H2005* - the *people H5971* of the *land H776* - *now H6258* are *many H7227* and ye make them *rest H7673* [H853] from their *burdens H4480 H5450.”* KJV
*Furthermore,* “Adam, was the son of God.” [Luke 3:38], wasn’t he?
*It is written that,* - *“You shall teach them [diligently] to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths], speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.”* Deuteronomy 11:19 AMP
*Dr. Twisse quotes Martin Luther thus:* - *"And Martin Luther professeth as much (tome vi, in Gen.2:3). `It follows from hence,' saith he, `that, if Adam had stood in his innocency, yet he should have kept the seventh day holy, that is, on that day he should have taught his children, and children's children, what was the will of God, and wherein his worship did consist; he should have praised God, given thanks,....'"*

What would be the point of giving the Sabbath in the beginning if it was not meant for Adam to keep it ? If that were true we could conclude that Adam was never married also.

The Sabbath while made for man still belongs to the Lord. On the first Sabbath Adam and Eve entered into God's rest.

A better response would include the following.
    Since according to
    Luke 3:38b
"...Adam was the son of God.?
God iin instructing His people Israel said in:
    Deuteronomy 11:19
“And you shall teach them (His commandments) to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.
The Most High would not have instructed His people to teach His ways their sons (children), morning noon and night, and not do that Himself. He would not have on that first Sabbath left Adam and his wife, abandoning them, who were not even TWO DAYS OLD, wandering in the Garden, alone while He went to the other side of the universe and rested! So obviously He as their loving Creator and Father, met with them, continuing to tell them about His ways, as we also do for and with our families/children on Sabbath.

When you said, God will create a new heaven and new earth, we will worship him from one Sabbath to another. What about when it says one new moon to another. Is God going to create a new moon too?

    • @thatnicekid04
      @thatnicekid04 6 месяцев назад +4

According to the concordance, New Moon means New Month.
Every month we will eat with God from the Tree of Life.
      Revelation 22:2
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Where do you guys find these dudes??? 😂😂😂
Adam kept every day as a Sabbath??? What??? 😂😂😂
    He can't possibly believe that.
Now, if he said that Adam remembered the Sabbath day every day, that would be correct. But keeping every day as a Sabbath is preposterous....
