Thank you. My son is a janitor. He's legally blind, but he doesn't want to go on disability. He doesn't tell anyone, just does his job. He's respected, because he works hard, but being a janitor, isn't a glamorous job. He's my hero.
I'm a long haul trucker. I see public restrooms all the time. No one says anything when they're clean - but bitch to the moon if they aren't. I try to thank every janitor I see for doing a thankless job; surprising to see how it lifts their face and spirit!
Thank your son for me. He's a hero, too..
Janitors are heroes to me. I definitely notice at my job when we don't have one or it's his day off. Public restrooms can get pretty disgusting, and I've cleaned quite a few myself in jobs where there wasn't a janitor. It's always so nice to be able to use the restroom without having to worry about brushing up against some mess on the door or the floor etc that should have been in the trash can or flushed down the toilet. Not to mention all the trash that has to be emptied every day, cleaning the breakroom, making sure there's not nasty old food in the fridge etc. Janitors make everyone's life so much more pleasant. God bless you and your son.
@@TexJester-no8th Thank you for all you do! The pandemic made a lot of us realize how we've been taking you all for granted. We depend on truckers for so many things that we literally can't survive without. You endure long hours and long stretches away from your families. And thank you for taking the time to appreciate janitors. They really do make things a lot better for the rest of us. And you're so right about how a little appreciation can brighten someone's day.

@@TexJester-no8th my Son works at a middle school, way dirtier than a public bathroom😊😊 he works for the Government, so he has perks, health insurance. I always want to thank Truckers, they have saved my life, been kind when I needed it, and made me feel safe on the roads. Much respect, for you.
Marine Corps Veteran and Truck Driver. We were worthless, then priceless, and now worthless again. Heros only when needed, hated when not. Song hits hard.
Us blue collar folks think you’re a hero and I stand my ass up tall for the national anthem because of heros like you. Thank you brother.
True America Patriots will always appreciate you all for the sacrifices you made. You all are loved and prayed for. Thank you for our freedom. We all owe you all so much. God bless 🇺🇲🥺
I'm sorry y'all are made to feel that way. It's so, so wrong. I know there are Americans like me out there that would never disparage our veterans. You are all heroes. even when you're old, bent over and can't remember the dogs name you are a hero. You were willing to fight for our freedoms and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Everyday, everyday, thank you. God bless you and your family.
You will always be priceless! Thank you for stepping up to protect us!❤️
You're still a hero, bro! Never forget that!
Thank you to the paramedic who tried to save my daughter and cried with me when she passed away. He truly tried and truly cared.

Thanks for your service mister. I don’t like rap/hip hop but this is a good song because it has a good message people actually relate to. More of this kind of message is what we need.

I am a janitor. People often mock us for not being more. Sometimes it makes me sad that i'm considered a low citizen. But then i remember Lord Jesus Christ was born in a dirty place with animals, he was a mere carpenter, walked the earth as a poor and humble man. I wouldn't want it to be any different for myself.
Thanks for your song man, it means a lot ♥
Thank you for being a honest hardworking individual , we see ya 😎⚡😎
Anyone that look down on others are the one beneath the others. Maybe they have more money then you, but the fact that they look down on you prove that they are lower in the brain department. No good peoples look down on others, because anyone with a good brain know that any jobs no matter how useless it may seem at first glance is important in some shape or form, if it was not, those job would not exist in the first place, since no one would want to spend money for job that is of not use."
He was also homeless. Jesus said, "The foxes have holes, and the birds have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head."
You are not a low citizen! Thanks for all you do for the kids!
Why would anybody knock a janitor. I think anybody that does should have to do your job for 1 day. Thank you for everything you do!!
Thank you Tom 🙏I'm a retired Police Detective (and US Military War Veteran) and am 100% disabled from an on-duty incident. My sudden disability left me unable to work and support my wife and 5 of 7 kids who still live at home...I loved my job and it was hard going from healthy 50 year old to being bed ridden and wracked with pain 24/7...I'm not
Complaining...God is great...I'm still here able to be a husband to my wife, father to my 7 children and now...A Granddather to 4 perfect grandchildren! May God continue to bless you, Nova and all of your loved ones.

Thank you, sir, for serving both our great country and your community.
My father was a cop. And because of him I have mad respect for LEO’s all around our country. And for our military ( he was in the Navy and Army - in the Army he was in Korean War) .
What goes on around our country with the leftists crapping on LEO’s makes me so disgusted.
Thank you for your outstanding service to our country and our community thank you 🙏🏻

Crane Operator here, Tom!
I work sometimes 84 hours a week from my family. This song made me tear up man. THANK YOU!
My grandfather was a crane operator in California. He left an incredible legacy of hard work, and loving his family and God. You matter everyday.
I wanted to say thank you for this song, Mr. Macdonald.
I was in a near fatal car accident back in 2015 & a firefighter EMT saved me & pulled me the sunroof. Then handed me off to the medical EMTs & I was in a coma for a month.
Doctors, nurses & certified nurse assistants care for me & kept me alive.
Also had a cop help escorted the EMTs to a different hospital.
I will always support the first responders, I am still alive & safe because of them.
Thank you, to the first responders out there & to the fire fighter who got to me just in time.
Professional truck driver for 39 years. 3.5 million accident and ticket free miles and was always glad to get back home to my wife. Thanks, Tom.
WOW, I take my hat off to you and all truck drivers. That is a lot of hours spent behind the wheel.
People take trucking for granted. You guys are literally the blood the courses through the veins of this country. Without you guys, we'd have empty shelves, unsupplied restaurants, useless online stores, etc. Never forget that!
My ex GF does OTR and I can't thank her enough.

Fellow trucker here.
I was on and off since 1994, in between having and raising 8 children. When my husband passed in 2013. I had to solo it the best I could.
Thank you for your time and the miles brother. I'm still out here turning the wheels and paying the bills.

Thank you to the unknown man who prayed with me while my grandson was dying in the hospital and hugged me tight when he found out he died. Thank you to the construction worker who stopped working by the side of the road to take off his hat and pay his respects when our funeral procession passed by. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for him while he was in the hospital and gave us so much compassion while we took him off life support. They will never know how much they touched my heart and how they were a little light in the sea of darkness. Heroes indeed.
Wow - thank you for sharing your thoughts. Those could easily be part of the song 🙏
I'm sorry for your loss. And I'm glad you had those heroes around you when you needed them most.

Sorry for your loss but I'm sure your grandson is in a better place rest assure I may not know you or your family but just because we are strangers doesn't mean we don't all go through the same struggles may god bless you and your family and live in your Grandsons honor may god let you see them again when our time on earth is done.

I'm a school bus driver for special needs ❤ I'm truly blessed to be a part of these children's lives❤❤
@@dianejiminez1229 HERO🙏
I commend you for all you do for those children. YOU make a difference.
My mom used to drive the school bus for the handicapped and special education students in the county school. I used to ride her bus to school if I wanted to sleep late, because the high school I attended was right across from the Middle School where the handicapped and special education students had their own school, a separate building from the Middle School, but on the same campus. She’d drop her students off at their school on the Middle School campus, and then take me across the road and let me off at the High School. I remember being picked on by some of my school mates hanging around outside the High School before the bell rang to head to your home room class. They were just joking around, of course, not trying to be mean, but still saying something about me riding the “short bus”. That was almost 40 years ago, and I still remember those children on mom’s bus, and how sweet and loving they were. One girl was in a wheelchair, and couldn’t speak, but she could understand everything you said to her. Her parents dressed her so pretty every day, and she would just grin from ear to ear when you told her how pretty she was. She had been left handicapped because of a school bus accident when she was younger, I believe. I remember one girl who was so funny because she called everyone “fart head”, and she would laugh so hard. That was my mom’s favorite bus route. She later took a bus route driving for the students in the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, because I think the special needs school on the Middle School campus was torn down, and and those students were relocated. It was a long time ago, and my memory isn’t as sharp as it once was. But I am thankful that I got to spend some time with those students, because they made a lasting impression on me, and I have a special affection towards people like them, because they are precious. It’s why I believe that all human life has tremendous value, and it should not matter if a babe in the womb has what this world calls a “defect” when it comes to them being “worthy” of life. All human life is important to God, made in His image, and that alone makes every human life “worthy” of being born. It’s not for us to decide which human life has value, and which doesn’t, and to even think that we should have that power to decide the value of another human life, or when it should end, is man trying to usurp God’s authority, and it’s wrong.
Bless you 🙏❤

My Brother is a cop in Chicago. My best friend is a firemen in Chicago. I did 15 months in Adhamiyah Baghdad with 1/26 infantry. I'm a cabbie in London now. Love my job. Good song. Thank you.
Retired Law enforcement. 25 yrs. Thank you Tom!
Beautiful. Navy War Vet here, always appreciating your verbal artistry. Fight hard, our nation is in trouble... your voice moves masses. Keep your head in your craft... and be sure Nova gets the adoration she deserves as well. God Bless you Tom.

If your reading this, or watching this video, you are a hero.
You are my hero!
As an Army veteran and former trucker, i wasn't expecting this song to hit me so hard on an emotional level like this. This actually made me tear up. The whimsical and irresponsible nature of society going back and forth between treating us like villians, to heroes, back to villians again takes a toll over time, especially anyone who has a remotely caring heart. Thank you for this respectful and appreciative recognition for the everyday heroes. Its the song i never realized i needed to hear.
Wish I could “like” this as many times as I’ve listened to it. It’s been on repeat. This is my favorite Tom Macdonald song yet. Goosebumps. Thank you to everyone he mentioned, and thank you to the mommas (and daddy’s) who are staying home, and raising up our future generation of heroes. It takes a special person to work 24/7 for free. But, it’s the most important job raising up good humans. Praying we all leave this world better off than we found it. Thank you Tom for being a hero! 🫶🏻
Thank you Tom for this , I’m a trucker and we never get thanks for what we do !! I appreciate you more than you know sir
My fiancee is a trucker also. It's nice to know that they are still seen and appreciated
My husband is too! Some people have no clue the dedication is takes to do that job. Many hours away from home, many celebrations missed, etc...Thanks for keeping America going!
Without out you Sir we have nothing🙏🏻 Thank you
Without out you Sir we have nothing🙏🏻 Thank you
I thank you and always give truckers right of way. 😊
Cop, Sheriff, Firefighter, Medic and trucker here here...thank you. I catch hate all the time. Gave my whole life to service and got nothing in return but a small paycheck. But I did it all and would do it again. Peace.
Thank you for keeping us safe
Damn bro you did everything lol
Thank you
qualified immunity isnt anything in return? please

I work with IBEW Distribution and Transmission Linemen. Men I respect as much as I respect my father. Blue collar workers, trades people are what keeps this nation keep going. Any blue collar worker deserves extra doses of respect for their contributions to society. Working alongside Linemen, and my contribution is something I am so very passionate about. I work a lot of hours. When the lights are out, I'm right there helping get those men to those locations. My kids have lost a lot of time with me. As a mother that is extremely hard. But what makes it better is coming home and having your youngest tell you about their school day and it was about what their parents do and she chose to speak about me, "my mom helps people get their lights back". To some, what I do may be nothing. But without the blue collar and their support systems at work and at home, this county would be on its knees. Thank you to every single one of you out there doing your part - no matter how unglamorous.
I'd much rather have a man with dirt under his nails and calloused hands over a 3-piece suit any day of the week.
Stag safe in your endeavors and may life give you everything you deserve 10-fold. ❤
As a carpenter for 30 years, thank you Tom.
My dads an engineer. My mom is a mother.
This video brought me to the brink of tears. God Bless Yall.
This one hits home, my hubby retires in a couple weeks after 30 years as a carpenter, his body is wrecked, arthritis, back surgery, knee injections...the list goes on. He busted his ass for his family, he is our hero. Thank you for this tribute, they all deserve their flowers.
This is my HERO too.
As a carpenter myself

I will pray for you and your family.

As a disabled veteran I say this. This song.... Well it it says what needs to be said, I have been saved myself by some of these folks, and always appreciated everyone who enables everything we all take advantage of. Thank you Tom... And my thanks to those who make life move forward for everyone else and ask for nothing but work hard in silence to make our lives better. Kudos bro and to all my peeps.....

Love the shout to the welders... welder here, father of 3 girls and my wife is a stay at home mom. The struggle is real, the hours can be long... thanks for the shout out!😊
Work in a steel mill in Pittsburgh, PA. Love the respect you have given all of us. You're a true Patriot. 👍
Thank you Tom... Former fire fighter and deputy sheriff left with only functioning arm now doing without just so I can pay my bills. This song really helped.. Stay strong and God bless.
Thank you, brother from a former volunteer firefighter and LEO!
@@David-e4o6w Thank you, Brother for your time fighting the same fight.
@@malgus78starkiller93 we have to stay in the fight. If not for us, for those that made it to the other side!
@@David-e4o6w You are 100% correct. We are never out of the fight against the evil that is everywhere.
Tom thank you for this song. Brought me to tears to hear this song. Tears of joy to see someone thanking the hero’s that no one ever sees but if they were not there you and I both would not have food on the shelves or have clean floors to walk on. Just imagine if someone was not cleaning the floors of your grocery store. I also want to take all the farmers that produce the food we eat. I am from a small town of 200 people. And that is what I grew up knowing. I would love to do a remix with a verse about farmers in it. But you got so many good ones for sure. Thank you Tom for all this amazing song. American flags fly high. Always remember freedom is never free.
Nurse here with a firefighter/paramedic husband who used to be a mechanic.
You're awesome, Tom. May God bless you and your family.
Thank you both for what you do.Your heroes in my book
Mechanic here, typing this with grease stained hands. Thank you Tom for throwing a bit of love and respect our way.
This American appreciates your hard work💕
It's nice to be acknowledged! Cheers brotha!
Tom, from the bottom of my heart thank you. I'm one of the first you mentioned and this made me feel better as I've felt unappreciated. God bless you. I cried.
Thank you Tom MacDonald! I own a cleaning company and I employ a fair amount of people. We often are overlooked and asked to clean up messes up that so many people would refuse to do. Often the people in this industry are looked down upon so sharing a line in your song with how they feel and what they do placed a smile on my face. As we can't say what we feel to clients.
Husband, father, truck driver here, we appreciate you more than you will ever understand Tom, praying for you always much love.
Thank you for keeping america moving
Thank you because people forget everything we eat, everything we wear and most things that we do are provided by truck drivers. Thank you 😊
Thank you for helping us to keep on going! You be safe out there! You’re very much needed in so many lives! 🙏💜
Thank you 👏
Please go to the doctor and get checked out if you can. My dad drove truck for 20 years, and he died unexpectedly from a blood clot that traveled from his leg to his heart, and doctors think it was related to sitting for so long
This American appreciates your hard work💕
My husband has painted at least 50 of the fire escapes in downtown Portland, Oregon, and paints many apartment buildings, as well as apartment units. He does all of it solo because we can't find anyone who wants to work. He is 57 yrs old and busting his ass just to take care of our family! Thank you again for drawing attention to the people who are VITAL to keeping this country moving!❤❤❤
This is a real hero.
Hardworking man, killing himself daily to take care of his family.
I am also a painter and know the struggle of not being able find someone to work with same passion and care as myself so I take care of my customers alone! Much love and support to your husband and he is not alone. There are others out here like him, like me, heroes!
God bless him and your family
Portlander here, thank you for your contribution to restoring our city!
I'm an artist. I just sketch, and that's hard enough. I don't wanna know how hard it is to paint. 😬 Tell him he and his work are much appreciated.
I want to believe that you also see the hero you continue to be for millions. It's hard to go from an everyday person to Mr. Tom MacDonald.... thank you for all you do and especially for this. I pray that your loved ones tell you the same thing you are telling us. The fires we both endure will save people's lives in different ways.
Heroes is what we are. If you are reading this you are a hero. Thank you Tom and Nova😊
Mechanic here! Dads a military combat vet! Moms a nurse. Appreciate people like you tom!
Thank you and your family for your Service. Without you we would be at a standstill 🙏🏻🫡🇺🇸

Thank you to whoever reads this for being you. Thank you Tom! We needed this.
Thank you for being you and doing what you do stranger.
Thank you for loving enough to say it! I love you all! I appreciate all!
I know I needed this :(
It's sad that these people hardly get represented or shown because they're not seen as cool or important, when in reality they're some of the coolest people on the planet.
Thank you Tom! (Trucker here)
That brings tears to my eyes, God bless our great American heroes 🇺🇸
