- One of the most well known SDA critics @AcademyApologia asserts that the SDA church places the writings of Ellen White above the Bible. He used our own source documentation to prove this. However, did he read them in context? Lets find out...

The critics like to attack the SDA church by twisting EGW's writtings and because most people haven't read all of her writings, they get doubts, so thank you ADL for researching and correcting the false accusations. And just to emphasize, ALL sda's beliefs are 100% from the Bible, EGW's writtings just emphasize the truths found in the Bible. That's why we need to keep studying God's word for ourselves, so that noone can shake us...God bless you all, maranatha! ❤

That means our whole "Fundamental Doctrines" idea is not good, as it has become our SDA creed.
The Fundamental Doctrines are just as they are stated to be, unique doctrines of the of the Seventh Day Adventist Bible based church. The church does not have a creed.
It became necessary to establish fundamental beliefs to clarify our position to the world, but that doesn't make it a creed because it is not the final word on our doctrines. Hence why every few years the church by votes update it (as the introduction to the beliefs say).
How can it be a creed if wording has been changed and additions have been made? The statements describing each belief are not inspired and therefore are subject to change. The Biblical texts underneath each statement ARE inspired and unchangeable. And so the Biblical belief ITSELF is inspired and is ultimately revealed in the Bible itself.
So why do you change the interpretation of practically every Prophecy in the Bible
and who Jesus is!.

The guy in the video did tell the truth, I never said or implied that he lied about anything. Not at all. What I said was he made a “sad attempt”. Show me where i said he lied. I didn’t. This is a perfect example of you not reading what is said and making a fool of yourself.
But he didn’t tell the whole truth tho. He cited a change in one part of one book but did not take into account what the rest of the book or other book say. If you watched the video, you would have seen the questions at the end that show this. But as usual, you only listen to what suits you.

Interesting that Jim Baber focus was on the removal of the words “contain an all-sufficient revelation of His will to men, and are the only unerring rule of faith and practice. “ from Fundamental Belief 1. All-sufficient revelation - sufficient meaning -enough to meet the needs of a situation or a proposed end. Unerring-committing no error: faultless, unfailing. With that definition the Holy Scriptures(Bible) is enough. Fundamental Belief 18 seems to be applying 2 Timothy 3:16 to EGW as the wording is very similar.

I did address it. I showed how the church added the introduction which says the fundamental beliefs can be updated or changed during votes because it's not a creed. Maybe watch the entire stream. This was just a clip.

Since Adam was expelled from the garden of Eden and God blocked the access to the "Tree of Life" which is symbolically the "Life giving Spirit of God" and God put a cherubim guarding the access to it since then until Jesus's second coming when God removes the Cherubim with the flashing sword(Zechariah 12:10), Adam's family as a whole is blocked from God's Spirit except for the Christ's bride of first harvest of 144000 redeemed men as John beholds in Rev 14:1.
Under these circumstances and SDA teaching is based on EG White's writings, it is irrelevant to preach a "saving gospel" denied to Adam's family who have lost access to God's Spirit and is just a laughing matter as all humans at present by and large are a lump of mud without God's Spirit.
They all die and turn into dust as it is happening right now as what Eve believed contrary to Satan's lie in Genesis 3:4
Hope you agree that Mrs. White's writings need to be destroyed for sake of integrity and honesty in the scriptures in the Holy Bible!

Ellen White herself changed the words of the Bible in the Great Controversy in chapter 41, page 570.
Quote: That the expression “bottomless pit” represents the earth in a state of confusion and darkness is evident from other scriptures. She went on to quote Genesis 1:2 and Jeremiah 4:23-26.
“Here is to be the home of Satan with his evil angels for a thousand years. Limited to the earth, he will not have access to other worlds to tempt and annoy those who have never fallen. It is in this sense he is bound. He is wholly cut off from the work of deception and ruin which for centuries has been his sole delight”.
What Ellen White has written here, is in contradiction to what Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into ‘the’ bottomless pit and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loose a little season.
Verse 6-8. Blessed and holy is he that had part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of his Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Now my question is:. Who will Satan go out to deceive if everyone on earth has been dead for a thousand years? 2. How can the earth be a “bottomless pit”? It is obvious Ellen White was not inspired, or she would have realized ‘the’ bottomless pit can only be outer space which has no bottom or top for that matter.
Read Revelation 20 carefully. The wicked awake from the dead after 1,000 years. That is when Satan goes out to deceive them.
The world will be as a wilderness during the 1,000 years because the righteous will be with Jesus, and the wicked will be dead.

yes many do put her above the bible. Every pastor we hear preaching HAS to bring in her teaching at some point, They can't seem to ever just teach from the bible without putting the words of God through an ellen g white spin. And I am saying this not to be mean, but it's a fact that I notice, at the SDA services, sabbath schools and every teacher on T.V. or social media. I think it's being dishonest with yourselves to say the SDA church doesn't do that, it genuinely pushes ellen's writings every chance they get, because it almost seems they are afraid to leave her out of their sermons.
I haven't noticed any SDA ever putting her above the Bible. Some may emphasize her more than they should, but that's not putting her "above" the Bible. Haven't seen that in over 30 years traveling to preach in dozens of churches.

Not true, I think they want to have an open debate but sda have been told from a young age to not defend or debate thats why there's very few channels that answer critics or questions.
