Some of these questions are so condescending it hurts. HRM is so full of elitism it’s amazing they can’t see it. I have friends that are deep in, but thankfully can call them brothers/sisters in Christ. For people that are so legalistic it’s also amazing how much they lack in grace/and joy in freedom.

God only made a covenant with the nation of Isreal. He never made a any covenant with any Gentiles. The New Testament was fulfilled by His obedience by the death on the cross. We enter into this covenant by faith in His blood. So Jesus filled the requirement with the Father by His sacrifice obtaining the forgiveness of sin. It is our faith in His blood that we are now declared righteous. It is not our responsibility to live the Christian life it is our response to His ability. It is not a law relationship but life relationship. Paul said I pray that you would know my mystery in Christ. Crist in you the hope of glory.

The Bible includes 8 Covenants: Edenic, Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Land, Davidic, and New. The first three were made with all nations to come, i.e. Gentiles, as they were made before Israel existed. It could even be argued that the Abrahamic Covenant was made with a Gentile, as the nation of Israel (Jacob's descendants) came two generations later. Thus, it is inaccurate to say God never made any covenant with Gentiles.

All the above (re: dancingzollins) plus:
      Testament MEANS Covenant.
      Old Testament = Old Covenant.
      New Testament = New Covenant.
      Marriage is also a covenant.
God considered Himself in a marriage covenant with faithless Israel who cheated on Him, i.e. they broke the marriage covenant, forcing Him to divorce.

The answer to 10:53 where the young man asks: "Why did Peter still not eat anything unclean even though Jesus said all foods are clean?" is that Jesus did not declare all foods clean. Eating meat sacrificed to idols is still unclean. Eating rats and swine flesh is still physically, health-wise, unclean. He was talking about spiritual uncleanness. And the scope of what he was discussing was limited to a certain context. Why do I say it was limited? Because he declares later in Revelation that eating meat sacrificed to idols is sin.
So does eating swine flesh and rats make you spiritually unclean according to Jesus? No. Does it make you unhealthy and your body physically unclean? Yes. Were those laws given for more reasons than just separating the Israelites from the nations that surrounded them? Were those health laws given out of concern for the health of the people he was guiding? Yes. Do those health laws support our health in this modern age even as Gentile Christians? Yes.
So there is a difference between spiritual uncleanness with regard to food and physical uncleanness with regard to food.
The bottom line is: if you want optimal health, follow the dietary laws. And if you wish to not sin with regard to food, do not be gluttonous and do not eat meat sacrificed to idols or consume blood or meat with blood in it (the red juice that comes out of red meat is not blood, by the way.

The Way so misrepresents biblical Christianity. I have the dvd and I have seen what they post on church doors on reformation day. I read part of their book and honestly the author has little knowledge of basic Christianity, basic principals of heremenutics. He claims his book is apologetic book for the doctrines of the torah movement. Very poor arguments. I do not think he has any understanding of true apologetics at all. If I was still part of the torah movement I would be embarrased by his book (that I could not even finish) that claims to be an apologetic for the torah movement.

Romans 14:5, Someone considers a day above another and is justified if observed with the Lord in mind. Spoken to the Romans, where I think the feast of Saturnalia originated. Could that day be any better than the Wiccan? Yet it is now Christmas. So I think the passage allows observing any day, and apparently the early church agreed, so long as you understand that it is to the Lord.

Good effort answering these "questions." And I use quotations because oftentimes HR folks put forth loaded or rhetorical questions much like "have you stopped beating your wife?" to get you to admit that you're somehow "anti-law." They know for a fact that no genuine and sincere Christian is opposed to following the Lord's commandments. In fact that's what affirms whether you are a genuine follower of Christ and are being sanctified by the Spirit. The problem is they conflate moral laws and civil laws and ceremonial laws. Moral laws are eternal; ceremonial/civil laws aren't.

  • @user-be4qz5uy6b

HR followers conveniently point to Scripture and take a specific passage at face value (e.g. "See! Jesus and the Apostles kept the Sabbath!") when it suits their narrative but when a verse seems to go against their narrative (e.g. "Don't let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink or regarding new moon or sabbaths) they say "Oh no, that's not what that verse is saying!" and they come up with all these mental gymnastics to jam their own meaning into a verse. I find this tactic very effective because it doesn't require the listener to think and analyze: Jesus kept kosher laws > We are to be like Jesus > Therefore we are to keep kosher. It's a very simplistic approach and at face value makes sense that's why people get sucked into it.

Thank God for your knowledge and passion in this area Brother Solberg. I have been in the trenches in opposing the erroneous doctrines that form the core of the HRM for over five years. You are a source of inspiration and a wealth of information. To use a biblical saying, you truly have shown the patience of Job.
I have to say I have been personally affected by the HRM. My will is starting to fade and my energy low. I find the entrenched position of a lot of the followers of this Torah-keeping sect and their anger against those who don't share their beliefs kind of scary. I've been constantly verbally abused and had direct violence threatened toward me. They have their 12-15 talking points and really won't engage in any real debate.
A couple of bible verses are starting to come to mind:
Titus 3:9 (NIV) But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.
Matthew 7:6 (NIV) Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Gal 3 can really solve a lot of these back and forth arguments. It is very important when Paul mentions the word Law to ask yourself and understand from the context what laws, or what part of the Law he is referring to. In Gal 3 he explains that a covenant, once ratified, no one adds to it. Why then the Law - it was added because of transgressions he says. This is the nugget, the sentence that makes a distinction in the Law, in other words there was law that was being transgressed, and then there was Law that was added because of the transgressions. If we examine Exo 24 carefully, the book of the covenant is read , the people (mixed multitude) all agree to all God's instructions and then there is blood ratification and the covenant confirming meal - the covenant is now ratified!
Straight after this God calls Moses back up the mountain, and now Moses gets the Law and commandments to "teach them" (schoolmaster). This is where the Law of the Tabernacle, Earthly high priest and associated reconcilliatory ministry is given , which includes all the sacrifices, offerings etc. God himself makes this same distinction when He says "obedience is better than sacrifice". Again He says "sacrifice and offering I DID NOT require, but a contrite heart". This is the Law that was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, and now that Christ has arrived and completed His first visitation and ministry, we are no longer under the schoolmaster. If we long to stay under that system, and rely on that system for forgiveness of sin, then we are rejecting the grace that was offered through Christ.
A mistake is being made on both sides of the argument by seeing the word Law and assuming it always refers to everything in the first 5 books. So just like in secular law, there is the obligatory part of the law, and then there is the penal code. The penal code has no effect or power over us if we keep the obligatory part of the Law. If we examine the covenant - the instructions for feasts and Sabbaths were part of the covenant, given before the blood ratification in Exo 24. Noah even knew the distinction between clean and unclean animals. As for using Col 2:16,17 as proof against feast keeping, it is based on an assumption that the people in Colossae were not observing those things, and that assumption comes because of repeated sayings and teachings that circulate through the mainstream church, like oh those Jewish feasts, we Christians don't keep those Jewish feasts, we have our own holy days etc. Once this is a foundational thought and belief, it is easy to read into Paul's writings what we already believe. I will put it out there that the new believers in Colossae were observing Sabbath, feasts etc, and they were being judged by religious Jews who had added hundreds of additional do's and don'ts to these events. Compare this with the time when Jesus and His disciples were also judged according to traditions of men for breaking Sabbath because they crushed grain in their hands, and not washing hands properly according to the 👉traditions of men👈before eating bread. Verse 16 of Col 2, contains the word therefore, indicating we have to gain gain context from the surrounding text. Straight away we see Paul is speaking against "traditions of men" before and after verse 16.

Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of the Sabbath, offering a spiritual rest that transcends the physical observance of one day a week.
    Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
This passage highlights the rest that Jesus offers to those who come to Him, implying a rest from the labour of trying to keep and observe the Law. If keeping the law could save us, then animal sacrifices would remain sufficient, and Christ's death and resurrection would be in vain.
    Hebrews 4:9-10
"So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his."
Here, the author of Hebrews explains that believers enter an eternal spiritual rest through faith in Jesus, paralleling God’s rest after creation. Those who did not believe did not enter the promised land. God's rest is also in continues state, and so is our redemption and salvation, which is a continuous state every day. The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of purchase, God's stamp of approval and sign of the covenant, replacing physical circumcision or esteeming one day over another. Although rest and circumcision might have physical benefits, keeping them is allowed but no longer required under God's new covenant.
    2 Corinthians 1:21-22
"Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
    Ephesians 1:13-14
"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory."
    2 Corinthians 5:5
"Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
These passages affirm that the Holy Spirit is given to believers as a guarantee or a deposit, signifying God's promise, ensuring our future inheritance and eternal rest in Christ under the new covenant.
    Colossians 2:16-17
"Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ."
This passage teaches that the Sabbath and other ceremonial laws were a shadow pointing to Christ, who fulfils their true meaning.
    Romans 10:4
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."
Christ's death, burial, and resurrection established the end of the Law and the old covenant as a means of attaining righteousness, which includes the Sabbath laws and establishes a new priesthood under a new covenant of grace and faith called God’s Israel (Galatians 6:15-16). Therefore, the old law remains applicable to anyone outside of the new covenant through Christ Jesus, including the unsaved and those who have no part in the body of Christ!
    1 Timothy 1:8-11
"Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted."
This passage emphasizes that the law is good when used lawfully, with the purpose to point out our sinful condition, making our sin exceedingly sinful in God’s sight, declaring everyone punishable by God. The Law is meant to guide our behaviour and to convict us of sin, highlighting the need for grace and a redeemer.
    Galatians 3:24-25
"So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian."
The Law, including the Sabbath, pointed us to Christ Jesus and the new covenant, but now believers are justified by faith and not by the works of the Law or their own abilities. There is no more place for the old covenant for those who were purchased and brought under the new covenant.
    John 15:1-5
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
This passage teaches that Christ is the true vine into which believers are grafted, signifying their union with Him and their dependence on Him for spiritual life, fruitfulness, and salvation. Furthermore, the concept of being grafted into Christ, the true vine, underscores the intimate relationship, continues rest and unity believers have with Him, highlighting their complete dependence on Him for spiritual sustenance, growth, righteousness, and eternal rest. Believers in Christ will bear good fruit and good works because they are saved and changed. Christ also keeps us, not the other way around, where we do good works in order to gain favour or keep our salvation. If we could lose our salvation, we would, and God, who loves us, knows this. Therefore, He kept it very simple yet amazing, He is the author and the keeper of our faith.
To rest, to be circumcised, and to worship God on a specific day might be beneficial since the Sabbath was made for man unto a sign of promise. However, these things are no longer required under the new covenant where Christ Jesus is our high priest, the manifested promise, and the Holy Spirit is our sign of covenant.
We are saved by our faith, through grace; it is the gift from God, not of our works, so that no man can boast in his own ability or his own doing. Our best efforts are as filthy rags before our Holy and Just God. Attempting to bribe God with our works of self-righteousness is not scriptural, and our God is not bribed by men.
    Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

If Jesus is our sabbath why does He tell us to pray our flight is not on Sabbath, during the great tribulation??
Matthew 24:20 “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
Matthew 24:21 “For then there shall be great distress, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Hebrews 4:11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

However, if we diligently pay attention to what Jesus was commanding us in Matthew 24:20 about “pray that your flight is not on the sabbath”
If we read the next verse,
The very next verse after Matthew 24:20, which would be Matthew 24:21
-it’s says “For then there shall be great distress, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
So that being said, that has yet to happen
-So if we listen to Jesus and what he commands us we should still at this very moment, be praying our flight is not on the sabbath or in winter
-like he told us to in the verse above
THUS, Jesus was implying the Sabbath day is still in effect. And it is for everyone, not just Jews. Maybe that’s why the 4th command is “remember” the sabbath day
-cause He knew we would forget it
Shalom and I pray our flight does not take place on the Sabbath or in Winter.

It is as follows: Contractually, YHWH was bound to bless anyone who obeyed all the commandments. How then, is Jesus cursed? Does the cursing of a perfect practitioner of torah nullify the terms of the contract? And if Jesus, being perfectly observant, was cursed, what makes us think we could be blessed by our (admittedly imperfect) observance?

Hi professsor Solberg ,i have the answer for you to it all of the "why"
    It is in Ezekiel 20:13-26
The law given to the Jewish, who were led out of Egypt, and they didnt obey it.
    *they didnt follow his decrees
    *they desecrated the Sabbaths
    They lusted after idols .
    (GOLDEN CALF MOMENT)
God had all their lives ended .
God kept their children alive and told them not to do as their parents done giving them a chance .
The children didnt obey the law
    *they didnt follow the decrees
    *they desecrated the Sabbaths
    *they lusted after idols .
God held up his hand and swore he would destroy them all.
But the save his name being profaned he kept them alive.
Then this is what God says take careful notice
So I gave them other statutes that were not good and laws through which they could not live; 26 I defiled them through their gifts-the sacrifice of every firstborn-that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the Lord.’
This is why horror after horror keeps coming upon israel . (Because of the law), it is bringing these horrors like the holocaust upon them and now october 7th and this war ,and many others .
This is also why Jesus died, it was to save people following the law from these horrors ,( it's on anyone who follows the law), and Jesus himself took all the horrors and punishment onto himself , that is why Jesus went through such a terrible ending .
And that is why he layed down his life.
To save us all from the horrors coming upon us that we may have life and have it abundantly.
God also says in Ezekiel 20:15 that they are not in the land that was destined for them , (they are meant to be in the land of milk and honey . Which they claim israel to be but it is not .
Anyone under the law is in a very bad position .
The horrors right across the world would end tomorrow (if everyone made a sealed confession tomorrow) ,confessing their sins in Jesus name.

I have a question (it's a simple question, but it does require some foundations be laid down first):
If there is no sin apart from the law, and the earlier offspring of Adam who went on to form the kingdom's leading up to Noah's flood were incredibly sinful from our perspective and God's perspective, and given the fact that yes, angelic beings had sex with human women and produced monstrous giant offspring called the Nephilim which corrupted both the genetic makeup of humankind and then went on to corrupt the genetic makeup of the animal kingdom by creating monstrous chimera creations thereby requiring the flood to wipe it all out and reset, why then, simultaneously, was mankind wiped out also because of the violence everywhere and the fact that every inclination of people's hearts was evil continually, given the fact there was no law of Moses that they were under?
Because remember, Paul says that apart from the law there is no sin. Those people were apart from the law of Moses which wouldn't be given for a long time. So then why were they judged for transgressing a law that was not made explicit to them given the fact that they were not under a law yet and there is no sin apart from the law?
Or alternatively, is the answer simply that though there was violence and though the hearts of humankind were thinking about evil acts continually, was the flood sent simply because the Nephilim had corrupted the earth? Because why would God wipe out the earth for transgressing laws that they've never even been given, considering the fact that apart from the law there is no sin? Because remember, not only were they not under the law, but they had been committing these acts for something like 1,500 years a no flood had been sent.

I see the law as at least two parts, the commandments and the curses. Jesus removed the curse of the law by his sacrifice, leaving the commandments, which if they would have had the faith of Abraham, they would have kept.
Sometimes when Paul mentions the law I believe that he is referring to the commandments, the law is spiritual. Other times he is obviously referring to the curse of the law.
The old covenant was the law of sin and death.(the law of breaking the commandment, and receiving the curse). The new covenant is the law of sin and forgiveness. (the law of breaking the commandment, and not receiving the curse, but forgiveness).
So I agree that the commandments are not required for salvation, but I do believe that it is still his will that we keep them.
This is an example of how I understand it.
He gives us instructions, because we love and trust him we endeavor to follow his instructions. But when we mess up, he'll forgive us, we're no longer under the curse of the law. On the other hand if we refuse to follow his instructions, we're non of his because we have no faith.
Just the way I see it.

The comment you made about Peter eating with the gentiles did not prove that he was eating anything unclean. Didn’t Jesus eat with the gentiles? . That wasn’t a very good example. We are approaching a time when we will rule and reign with Christ and his Kingdoms instructions look much like they did from the very beginning. It seems like learning about and being trained for these things that we clearly will be keeping, Isaiah 66:23 and Zechariah 14 would help in that process don’t you? How long do you think we should keep pushing back, or think it is permitted but not required? I might have spoken prematurely, as you may not even believe these scriptures to be referring to the time when we rule and reign with Christ. I am sincerely wanting to walk on this earth and be a good ambassador for our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that just as the reformation lead back to a closer understanding of what it meant to be a God fearer, so has this awakening. If we understand also that many of these beliefs that we are now understanding to be truth, were banned about 300 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus, it becomes even more clear that as Jesus is about to return, we should rethink and be very diligent with God’s Word. He is coming back for the people who are found with the testimony of Jesus and keep his commandments. Oh! Happy Day! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!!!!

God NEVER told Peter (or anyone) to eat an unclean animal. Lets 👓 read 📖
    Acts 10
"9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained ALL KINDS of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything COMMON or UNCLEAN.”
15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything COMMON that God has made CLEAN.”
16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven."
First, all kinds of four footed animals 🦌 🐄 🐑 were on that sheet, including 🐦 birds.
So there was a mix of clean and unclean together on the sheet.
God instructed Peter to kill and eat, implying he make food. LEVITICUS 11 is clear what types of animals are food, and which are not.
Therefore we know that God was telling Peter to "Kill and eat" a clean animal to satisfy his hunger.
Second, Peter says he has never eaten anything common or unclean. We know unclean animals are ones not meant to be eaten by man, what are "common" animals? You will not find an explanation for this term in scripture, because it does not come from scripture.
Common is a designation of Talmudic Rabbinic Judaism.
It refers to any item that is usually acceptable for human use, but has come in contact with an unclean item, thus (according to them) is now tainted and unable to be touched or used by a righteous person on threat of becoming unclean themselves.
So Peter seeing clean and unclean animals mixing together, and applying his talmudic teaching sees only Common and Unclean, nothing he can eat.
This is why God repremands him.
"Do not call common that which I have made clean"
God was calling out the entire practice of designating animals, locations and People as common. God describes what is clean and unclean, the doctrine of men was keeping Peter from eating "common" food and preaching to "common" people.
This vision was Gods way of removing that false doctrine and pushing Peter to mingle with gentiles who needed to hear truth. ♥️
Peter explains this later in the chapter,
"28 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean."
    -Bonus-
Acts 10 is recording something that happened months or years after the Life, teaching, death & resurection of Yeshua...
So why was Peter still refusing to eat "unclean" animals?
He was there during the Mark 7:19 teaching.
Therefore Yeshua NEVER declared unclean animals to be food, Otherwise Peter would have no problem digging in to a pork sandwich in Acts 10.

Your thoughts fall short. Peter didnt understand many things JESUS was saying until way later. Like how JESUS kept saying to Peter that He had to go to the cross, Peter tried to spot him and JESUS said get behind me Satan. So to say well Peter was there and would of understood exactly what JESUS was saying regarding food falls shirt on many levels. Also later in acts 15:10 Peter says why do you test God by trying to put a yoke upon the gentile disciples that our fathers nor we could bear. This yoke includes many things about the old covenant including food laws. And also Paul had to rebuke Peter for playing a hypocrite and it says hes was living as a gentile until some Jews came around. That would of also implied he was eating with them, gentiles didnt have these food laws so eating some unclean animals would of not been a problem for them or Peter at that time. The vision was both for food and people

Q #1: Yes, Jesus was born under the Law (Gal 4:4) but that does not somehow indicate we are not. Most likely it is indicating 2 of the context clues of prophecy about Jesus - #1 born of a woman and #2 born under the law/He is a Hebrew. It doesn't somehow mean "Jesus was born under the law and now no believers are born under the Law"
Romans is a beautiful letter that after reading it for the past few weeks really seems to be leaning more towards keeping the Law. Many verses in Romans, when taken in isolation, can be skewed to either side. Romans 7:14, Romans 7:16, Romans 7:22 all seem to support a Law abiding life and equating the Law with righteousness and holiness. So I think we can agree that the book of Romans should probably be taken as a whole. When you look at it as a whole, Paul seems to be saying that sin took an opportunity when the Law came and was able to work more sin in a human life - kind of like if someone tells you not to think of a pink elephant, it's going to be near impossible to not think of a pink elephant. But I bet you were not thinking about that pink elephant until someone told you not to, it wasn't even really a temptation. He seems to be talking about how because we are unable to keep the law perfectly we are under the law's penalty - which is to suffer the second death (everyone, even perfect Jesus, suffers the first, only a righteous person can escape the second death...ehem only Jesus and God gave Jesus the authority to resurrect those who are His). But now that we are under grace!!!! (the definition of grace is, according to merriam webster: unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification) we are no longer under the law. The opposite of grace is not law. The opposite of grace is getting what we deserve which is the second death. The context here is allowing us to see that Paul is saying we are no longer under the penalty of the law, death, we are under grace, life. He even continues to constantly uphold the Law in Romans - just because you no longer have to suffer the second death, don't take that generosity and then heap up more sin! Romans states the Law is righteous and holy and good AND spiritual but that our sinful bodies are carnal and unclean. I think of what Paul is saying as this: You live in a state that has a specific code of law. You break the law. You have the choice between two judges: one who will use the law to make sure you reap every consequence that he can enforce using the law, or a judge who you know will try to show you grace at every opportunity - but expect that you will not take advantage of that but instead live according to the law from here on out.

    • @travisambers6307
      @travisambers6307 Месяц назад

Q#2: I also agree that Scripture does not forbid the celebrating of the feasts (in fact I think it commands it, no, I don't think all mainstream Christians are going to hell for celebrating Christmas and Easter). However, your response seems inconsistent with other times (it is so difficult to type and not speak as you cannot hear my tone, but I am saying all of this respectfully) you have stated things like "we aren't able to follow the Gospel and the Law at the same time" or "In other words, if Christians were to try to keep both the Torah and the law of Christ, we would be committing spiritual adultery!" It seems you vacillate between law keeping as neutral (as long as you don't believe it is the standard for all believers) and it being wrong (spiritual adultery).
Colossians 2:16 is a fun verse as it is so ambiguous - it seems you can use it for law keeping (let no one judge you for keeping the law) and law breaking (let no one judge you for not keeping the law). But again, if you read the whole book, Paul describes these opposers: they use philosophy and empty deceit, follow/teach traditions of men, follow the basic principles of this world, were judging the colossian believers, cheating the colossians of their reward, took delight in false humility, worshiped angels, intruded on things they hadn't seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, didn't hold fast to the head(Christ), their regulations were "do not touch, do not taste, do not handle" (commandments and doctrines of men), appearance of wisdom in self imposed religion, false humility, and they neglected their body (which had no value against he indulgence of the flesh). These people were not worshiping God, they were worshiping angels. They were not following God's commandments but the doctrines of men. They were not ok with feasting/celebrating but depriving the body. With that context, verse 16 seems to indicate that the Colossians were being judged for celebrating and feasting and keeping the Holy Days.
There is more with that verse however. I enjoy using Blue Letter Bible and if you use the LXX version and type in Colossians 2:16 you'll see that one word was changed from the original greek - from the original greek word και (meaning and) to the greek word ή (meaning or). This change happens here: between food & drink. However, again if you use BLB, food & drink are maybe more accurately translated as "eating and drinking". So you have: Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to eating AND drinking...now comes the more interesting part! The next greek word is ή which can be translated or/either. If you use either here (which some eng-greek lexicons say that a list of ή ...ή ...ή ... the first one would be translated "either" and the rest would be translated "or") it would read thus: Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to eating and drinking either in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. This fits with the context of who the opposers were (angel worshippers who followed doctrines of men who dealth harshly with their physical bodies) and fits the context of feasts and sabbaths were celebrations - lots of good food and drink.

The Way documentary was originally going to be ALL about circumcision! Literally promoting it! They were advised against it and instead, just included a segment where this guy talks about how he circumcised HIMSELF in his bath tub! Well, he ended up in the ER and the psych unit🤦‍♀️ He was laughing as he told the story.
I had bought the download version of the documentary as soon as it was released and watched it right away, however, when I watched it months later at a gathering, it did not notice that segment. I believe they edited it out when it came out on DVD.
Incredibly dangerous and irresponsible of them to have included that segment and a blatant disregard of scripture in general regarding the topic of circumcision!

He taught lots of Torah truth, Smurf, but it didn't make up 100% of Messiah's teachings. Jesus also taught some new commandments that weren't in the Torah. For example, the series of "You have heard it said...but I say to you" statements in Matthew 5 are new. And the many times He commands us to "Follow me" don't come from the Torah. And there's also, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matt. 28:19-20)
And interestingly, if we were to teach people "all that Jesus have commanded," it would not include the whole Law of Moses. For example, he never commanded anyone to make animal sacrifices for sin, keep the feasts, eat kosher, or even keep the seventh day Sabbath.

Also, a fulfilled contract can still be everlasting: 1) it exists as Active while it is being executed and 2) it exists as Inactive when all terms have been fulfilled. For example, my past mortgage contracts still exist as a matter of record but since i've paid off the balance (fulfilled it) i am NOT continuing to make those mortgage payment, that would be silly, the bank would send my payments back with a reminder that that contract has been fulfilled.

And rather than argue, I’ll suggest that those with ears to hear and eyes to see will find the path. It is a narrow path. FEW find it. FEW. Not many. So keep seeking and knocking dear ones. Don’t underestimate the depths of Paul’s writings. Study the old testament . Yourself. With your own eyes. Finally, a clue for you. How many people make up “ a few?” How many would represent “many”?

No law, no transgression - Romans 4:15, in order for Adam to have transgressed - Romans 5:14, there had to have been a regulation in place, was it okay for Adam to worship other Gods back then? Is incest okay now as long as you're married?
The whole idea of people not wanting to keep God's law is ridiculous! The righteousness of the law can be fulfilled in us if we keep it through the Spirit - Romans 8:4, if you're not keeping what still applies (food, sabbath, sexual morality etc...) his Spirit isn't in you because you're not obedient.
The law isn't required for SALVATION, but it is required for righteous living, Christ only gave one new commandment - John 13:34 and it's a renewed commandment of brotherly love.

!. WHAT LAW WAS JESUS BORN UNDER ?
You must understand that there is more than one law ; In the bible three type of laws are talked about :
      1. The laws/commandments/instructions of the Father ; which includes all the covenants ; these are instructions to righteousness ; that is why when the man asked Jesus , what good things shall I do , that I may have eternal life ? Jesus said , " KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS " .
      2. The law of the mediators ( law of Moses and the law of Christ ) , which are sin sacrifices through a priesthood , to recover you when you transgress the laws of the Father ; remember , the covenants are between the Father and the covenant people ( children of Israel ; believing Gentiles are grafted into the covenant through faith in Jesus ) .
The mediators intercedes for the people ; they do not change the covenants .
Israel is the only nation to have made a covenant with the Father .
The Gentiles are not under the Father's law , but under Christ law ; which is the mediator of the covenant ; which also recover the Israelites from their transgressions against the Father's law .
The law through the mediator Moses ( sometimes called the law of Moses , because it came through the husband/protector Moses ) was the blood of the animals and oblations ; which was carried out by the Leviticus priesthood . This law was the law of works , not of faith ( Romans 3:27-28 , " Where is boasting then ? It is excluded . By what law ? of works ? Nay: but by the law of faith . Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law " ) .
The law of faith ( sometimes called the law of Christ , because it came under the husband/protector Jesus Christ ) is the blood of Jesus Christ through faith ; Which means that you must repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart ( mind ) , like king David did , and believe by obedience ; that means keeping your mediator ( Jesus Christ ) commandments ; which are the same laws/instructions/ commandments of the Father .
MATTHEW 8:1-4 , 1.When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
      THIS IS THAT GIFT :
LEVITICUS 14:1-32 , 1.And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:
      3And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;
4Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
5And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:
6As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
7And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.
8And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
9But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
10And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.
11And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
12And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
13And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:
14And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
15And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:
16And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:
17And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:
18And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.
19And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:
20And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
      21And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
22And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.
23And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD.
24And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
25And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
26And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand:
27And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD:
28And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:
29And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD.
      30And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get;
31Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before the LORD.
32This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.
JESUS WAS BORN UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES , OR THE LAW OF ANIMAL SACRIFICE & OBLATIONS .
THE GOD OF ISRAEL LAWS LAST FOREVER ( PSALM 111:1-8 ) ; THE LAW OF WORKS HE GAVE THROUGH THE MEDIATOR MOSES , WAS REPLACED BY THE LAW OF FAITH THROUGH THE MEDIATOR JESUS CHRIST .

Exodus 31:14 “Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3], holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.“ (NASB)
Exodus 35:1 Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do: 2 “For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3]; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.“ (NASB)
Numbers 15:32 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness [Heb. midbar], they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3]. 33 And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation; 34 and they placed him in custody, because it had not been decided what should be done to him. 35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must be put to death [Exodus 31:14-15; Exodus 35:1-2; Deuteronomy 27:26; Matthew 5:18]; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 So all the congregation [Heb. edah] brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. (NASB)
Matthew 5:18 “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!“ (NASB)

The bible says sabbath was a sign between Israel and God under the Mosaic covenant. We are under a covenant. The sabbath was only given to ancient Israel under the temporary Mosaic covenant. Context is king.

Jesus Christ is the complete fulfillment of the Sabbath, offering a spiritual rest that transcends the physical observance of one day a week.
      1. Matthew 11:28-30
      - Jesus says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
      - This passage highlights the rest that Jesus offers to those who come to Him, implying a rest from the labor of trying to Jewish rites and keeping of the Law. If it was possible for man to keep the law perfectly sacrifices were not necessary and Christ did not need to die or establish a new covenant for that matter.
      2. Hebrews 4:9-10:
      - "So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works (keeping the law = self-righteousness) as God rested from his work (in continuous sense)"
      - Here, the author of Hebrews explains that believers enter into a spiritual rest through faith in Jesus, paralleling God’s rest after creation. You are resting in salvation and in His redemption and new covenant everyday nonstop! There for Sabbath observance is allowed, and physical rest beneficial, but no longer required unto salvation and right standing with God.
      3.Colossians 2:16-17:
      - "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ."
      - This passage teaches that the Sabbath and other ceremonial laws were a shadow pointing to Christ, who fulfills their true meaning. The law can only chase a man to calvary, and no further.
      4. Romans 10:4:
      - "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."
      - Christ's coming brings an end to the Law as a means of attaining righteousness, which includes the Sabbath laws. We are saved by faith and by faith alone, not of our works so that no man can boast in his own ability, that is self-righteous. Good works and good fruit is not unto salvation, but is a result of our salvation, being filled and led by the Holy Spirit, grafted into Jesus Christ.
      5. Galatians 3:24-25:
      - "So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian."
      - The Law, including the Sabbath (sign of covenant with the tribes of Israel), served as a guide until Christ, but now everyone from all nations (pas ethnos) who comes to faith in Christ are justified by faith and not by the works of the Law.
These scriptures collectively teach that Jesus fulfills the Sabbath by offering a deeper, spiritual rest and freedom from the works of the Law, inviting believers to rest in His finished work on the cross.

@@rayray4192I think iits a dangerous road into legalism when a gentile christian tries to live like an ancient Israelite under an old covenant. I believe it will inevitably lead people to think they are getting closer to God by observing those rituals , eating kosher and they will in turn look down upon christians that don't

Isaiah 24 and Malachi 4. Either both are false prophets or we are supposed to follow the instructions of YAHUAH aka Torah or be on the receiving end of Judgement for being lawless. Yahushua didn't come to start a new religion with 1000s of denominations he came to point us back to the way which has always been the same for everybody. Obey the instructions of TMH. Rev 14:12 it says the commandments of YAHUAH and the testimony of Yahushua not just the testimony. Do we believe man or do we believe scripture? That's a prophecy btw and a message from an angel to John and after the Ascension of the Messiah so the commandments being done away with at the cross doesn't work.
A wolf in sheep's clothing Rob , repent didn't suddenly mean apologise and stay sinning it meant to turn from our ways and obey the instructions of YAHUAH.
Matthew 7:21-23 iniquity = lawlessness. What do we think Moses accusing is to the father means too? People disregard the words of Yahushua because they aren't his sheep.
John 14 says we need to obey the commandments to receive the Holy Spirit too, how does one receive the Spirit if they don't do what the Messiah told us to do?
Not 1 person that worships on Sunday and disregards the Sabbath has the Holy Spirit and the fact you don't do what Ezekiel and Jeremiah says we'd do when we receive it goes to show it's not the correct one.
Do better Rob stop leading people astray from obeying TMH.

You seem to be avoiding the very definition of sin found in the new testament. 1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
You correctly say that disobeying God is sin but His commandments are his express will. The only reason paul can seemingly contradict himself by saying things like romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
and then concluding a few verses later with verse 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Is because he is refering to two different laws. The penalty or sacrifices that can never make us clean have been done away with. But the commandments are eternal. Which is why hebrews 10 says if we continue transgressing the law after we have knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins but a looking forward to judgment.
