Vewlix VLX Day 3 - Sides and Feet
***WHOOPS! I posted this video on November 24th, but it was marked private! Derp.***
** Also, check my website at www.donovanmyers.com/old/2013/12/vewlix-vlx-plans/ because I've posted the plans for the base and will continue to update that page. **
Day 3 (again, months later sadly): cutting the feet and sides. It's cold out!!!
This video was delayed because my phone that I shot it on was stolen before I had a chance to dump the video, however iCloud is awesome and when I received my replacement phone, my videos were restored! Pfew.
Please let me know any questions that you may have in the comments and I will try to answer them and take them into consideration for future videos. Thanks for wa...

Yo dude is it really ok to bend the pins? 😭

Thank you!
Murió?
Do you still have these plans somewhere. Your website doesn’t list them anymore
any chance you have a copy of the finished plans somewhere on the net?
Thanks. To the point and informative.
RIP
Tnx
I know this video is old but I hope you can answer me because it would be very helpful. I have the brook universal fighting board. and i have joytron revolution. and I would like to know the layouts for the Turbo, Back, Home, and Start buttons because I want to use the usb cable but I tried to find which cable corresponds to each button (the red, black, green, white etc). I would appreciate. Thanks
I assume the turbo light does not work anymore, when the new pcb is in? Is there a pcb that would allow to keep using the turbo lights? I would really like if they would still work, once I changed the pcb.
Hello question? I got a (mayflash arcade stick F300 ) can a crown be modded with it ( change it )
Yes, the Crown joystick without the large collar will fit inside the MayFlash F300. If you go to Focus Attack to buy parts, get four of the zero delay .187 wires to connect the Korean joystick to the F300.
@@cajunmanpunk THANKS
bro what did u buy for your mayflash and it works ?
Soes the joystick spring and all that wear out overtime
the worst tutorial ive seen in my life. not clear instructions by using the word "here" very often. i ended up switching sides a lot and having to switch to another video to figure out focusattack has a picture on their site which is far less confusing and way more helpful than this video. feedback: instead of using here there use words like top left bottom right and very important and missing in this video "FACING YOU"
Links are broken anyone has backups?
Hi, I'm from Argentina, good videos, can you upload the plans please? fallen link
Hi, I'm from Argentina, good videos, can you upload the plans please? fallen link
Very good tutorial.
What software did you use to sketch these up?
I used SketchUp to Sketch these Up. sketchup.com
My preference is Sanwa sticks and buttons. Especially on myself made arcade stick for Super Famicom - works and sounds great.

I watched this video trying to find a solution to why my inputs where reversed. Turns out I had the stick the wrong way around.
Put Bose speakers 🔊
Does it Work with May flash 500
where can i get that key chian
Ever G Salas considering MadCatz is out of the stick business and Markman has moved on, I think it’s pretty close to impossible. Maybe eBay or the Shoryken forum’s trading area.
Donovan Myers thanks man.

Awesome video.. Is there a video for a Hori Rap4 ? Greetings from Switzerland !

1) SPRING LOAD : With the Link installed, my Hayabusa joystick now feels a bit stiffer than originally. It feels like if I had installed a stiffer spring inside. I have noticed that the Link's total length is a bit shorter than the Hayabusa original rod so the Link is increasing the spring load. Not a big difference, but a noticeable one. So it's better you know that fact before buying a Link. 2) BATTOP : With the Focus Attack aluminum Battop, it's a real PITA to disconnect the Link. The treads to screw the rod are few millimeters inside the bottom of the battop, so the space between the bottom of the battop and your joystick enclosure is shorter than with a balltop. I don't have big hands, but because the space is very tight it's rendering difficult the disconnect operation of the Link.
SECOND DUST WASHER : The main issue with leaving the inside second dust washer is that after taking out your balltop or battop that washer moves a bit inside the enclosure around the Link's lower rod, so when you want to reconnect your Link you have to recenter manually that second washer for the Link's upper rod to be able to reach and reconnect with the Link's lower rod. Other than that I don't see any other issue.
is the SANWA LB-35-N Battop compatible to The Link?
Yes, the link has the correct thread pattern for standard Sanwa and Seimitsu ball tops.
so the Battop doesn't block the release switch of the link?
津田エース whoops. I misread battop as balltop. But, yeah, the battop still works. It doesn’t go down the shaft far enough to get in the way. The Focus Attack website’s product page for the link confirms balltop AND battop compatibility.
thank you Sir. (Y)
Day 4?
Can this be used on a qanba obsidian?
yea dude, i use it on my obsidian.
Hey there, are your plans for the Vewlix still available anywhere? thanks.
Hi Thomas, I abandoned this VLX-based cab due to #life. But I am trying to get my old, original Vewlix TE worklogs/plans back online. I never realized so many people were still accessing them when I took my old site down. You can find some stuff here. All the links/files should work but a few of the images aren't linked up properly: www.donovanmyers.com/post/173027626318/vewlix-te-complete-guide
Yeah, #Life will do that to ya. Thanks though, i'll try the link.
Could this stick be installed in a Razer Panthera or Razer Atrox?
you have the plans?
No plans. I couldn't finish this project due to life changes. You can grab the SketchUp file from this post though: www.donovanmyers.com/post/173027626888/vewlix-vlx-plans
Thank you so much, I was about to destroy the stick my Qanba Carbon came with when replacing it with a JLF. Due to this video I realized I just needed to remove the horse shoe in order to remove the stick.
Will this work with the PS360+?
I got the Xbox360 model and the home board looks different I just want to make the home button work with my brooks ufb can you give some tips
One of the best innovations on sticks ever.
This is a superb stick
you're a good man
Looks like Paulo Victor - Grêmio goalkeeper. Good video, man.
hi working on ps4 ???
How is that mounted to the fightstick? Screws? Glue?
Nvm...derp
Thanks so much for this video, now I can make a hybrid fightstick.
Does this also apply with the new crown 309mj?
very helpful. thank you! what would be a good bang for the buck arcade stick to mod to korean stick?
