Hi Jessica! To do this ride, you do indeed need some preparation. I'd say when I did it a few years ago, I wasn't very well prepared, but we had no problems at all making it. We had a lot of fun, the weather was perfect and there were no incidents with the car or with us. And we had decided to do the tour in 6 days. Maybe we drove too much on the last day because we wanted to arrive in time. I'd say that 6-7 days is a good amount of time. The question is also which road to choose. There is one that is more straight. But we wanted to drive along the coast and went through Pemberton - Albany, Esperance, Caiguna. We loved the nature and especially the beach at Esperance which was so stunningly beautiful, like out of another world, a must see especially in warm weather in the summer season. And then when you finally arrive in the middle of your trip. Then you have to know that for hundreds of kilometers there is practically nothing, just a few gas stations and very small places where you can find a bed. So, from Caiguna to almost Port Augusta. There's not much there. I looked on the map and expected that before Port Augusta, these small towns are also some small villages where you can find a small restaurant or a hotel. Nope, there was nothing, just empty fields and a few gas stations. You have to be prepared for that :) But even in these small places we got something to bite in the gas station restaurant and we also had the possibility to get a small room with bed and shower. And then Port Augusta is already a nice little town, there are stores and hotels, and the coastline is very nice. And from there to Melbourne, everything is beautiful. Especially if you choose the Great Ocean Road to reach Melbourne. What I did before the trip: - I changed the tires on the car to make sure they weren't too apartment. - I also did the complete service for the car. And explained that I was going to make the trip so there were no leaks or weak spots. - Take plenty of water and some basic food. - I also took the advice to only drive during the day and avoid driving in the dark when animals are more active or you can't see the road as well. - Be prepared to see as little traffic as possible. Especially in the Nullarbor region. You can drive a hundred miles and see no cars at all. And if you do see one, it's customary to wave to each other. So imagine if something happened on the road ... you'd have to wait forever. - Make a list of landmarks all along the way. That way you know where to go and what to see so it's not boring the whole way. It's not just about the destination, it's about the journey. And there are some interesting sights to see. But it's more about the nature. - Also, make a little plan of how much you want to drive per day and where exactly you want to stay overnight. And research in advance what options there are to stay overnight. - When you cross the border between Western Australia and Australia, there is a road check. To prevent us from bringing in diseases, they took all our fruit (apples, pears, plums). But we didn't have much. But that's what they do.

Hi there. It depends on the region I guess. For us it was mostly well. Although, couple of days in Havana it got really windy and stormy, so the Malecon was totally flooded and the traffic was closed. Waves just bursted over 4 lines of traffic. Otherwise, we enjoyed sun every day.

Hey. It's Plage de Mala, just on the left side of Cap Mala. What is cool about this place, it's small and isolated with nice restaurant and small pedestrian path goes right by the sea to Monaco. It's about 1 hour walk with beautiful sights. Or you can easily take the train if you don't have a car.

Hi there Mirza! Thanks! GoPro is small and really easy to use, besides smartphone, and it has that wide angle which shows you pretty much the image your eyes see. It eas AirBNB, don’t remember the cost exactly, but Santorini is rather expensive. We stayd for a week.

Hi John. The waterfall is located in Vegas Grande national park. But I have to warn you that getting there is quite a hike. At least 45 minutes pretty rough decent to that pretty, hidden place. But it's absolutely worth it if you decide to go there. Local guide would be necessary though. Otherwise you would get lost. Not a place for regular tourists : ) Let me know if you get there!

Üsna levinud väljakutse on inimestel teha 3-päevane ehk 72h veepaastumine, mis on juba saavutus omaette. 7 päeva on loomulikult ekstreemsem ettevõtmine ja selleks peab valmis olema. Aga, mis mulle tundub, siis kõige olulisem seejuures on kuulata lihtsalt oma keha, ja mitte endale liiga teha. Kui kõrvalnähud (peavalu, liigne nõrkus jms) kujunevad liiga väljakannatamatuks, siis ei ole mõtet pikka perioodi teha. Kannatama kindlasti ei peaks. See peaks ikkagi olema meeldiv kogemus. Tühjakõhu tunne on loomulikult, see on tavaline. Kui tegin 7 päevast, siis huvitav oligi just minu puhul see, et 3 esimest päeva oli ikka korralik söögiisu, aga sealt edasi see mulle endalegi üllatuseks kadus.

Same as other places actually. We didn't plan our stay at Casa Particular in front. Luckily our driver which we hired for our whole trip helped us to find us proper stay each night. We just described our demands and price range and he called and booked us proper stay. There are many Casas available in each region, so I believe you will find a proper one. But I suggest that you book your stay with some local's (your driver for example, or the owner of the Casa you currently stay) help, to book the next stay. I don't remember the Casas name, not even sure they had a name, just an apartment number. It's almost like AirBnB there, but you will find very few casas on AirBnB. Most of the Cubans don't have access to internet, so they are not listed online, but that doesn't mean there are few Casas. There are actually quite a lot options. What we did for our 2 weeks stay, we only booked a hotel for 3 first nights in Havana. Everything else we looked while being there. Luckily our driver was very friendly and much help finding appropriate casas. I wish you a very nice trip!

I traveled in Cuba about a year ago, I stayed in casa particulars the whole time and I highly recommend them! Especially if you want to support local people over government run hotels and resorts.

Hi there Julio. It's a great place to visit, so just go plan ahead and make your stay memorable. The restaurants were actually quite random. What I did... I bought a Lonely Planet book about Cuba and we started to follow the suggestions about the restaurants. Because, if you go somewhere just by the looks, it's very easy to pay more than the quality of cooking is worth. In Vinales, I remember our favourite was restaurant called "Olive" or something like that and the next day we visited restaurant close to that. On the main street of Vinales town, there are many. In other places (Havana, Trinidad etc) we also followed the book suggestions, because all the time when we got somewhere by accident, the foot was really poorly prepared. Cooking in Cuba is still in their baby steps. Casa particular was suggested to us by our driver, which we hired for the whole trip. In Vinales there are many of Casas and sorry, I don't remember where we stayed exactly, but there are so many of those in town, just have to ask around and compare which suits best for you. Our driver always called 1 day ahead, before we got somewhere and showed us some options for us to decide. Well, if you go on a round trip, you need a driver anyway and luckily our driver helped us around pretty good. Remember, when going to Cuba, you just have to relax, everything is much much slower there and they think a bit differently than us. Most important is to stay calm and enjoy the ride.

The cave was really random. We went to that "restaurant" and one guy recommended to visit a cave that "he only knows". We thought about this idea for a while and okay, let's go. As you see on the video, we never ever expected it would be so wild. If you ask me where that cave was or what was it's name. I don't know. And only the local knows. To reach that cave we had to make about 1 hour hike. And it was really spooky. But after all, really really exciting. Cheers! :)

Unfortunately we had time to explore only the western half of the Cuba (Havana, Vinales, Trinidad, Cayo Santa Maria).
