Mauritius 3-Week Vacation December 2022

This is a short video about our super duper 3 week vacation in Mauritius. We split this time into 3 different parts to explore the island.
First, we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment (120 square meters) in the Black River area (west side of the island), right on the ocean with a beautiful pool. It was called "Sunset Apartments." I loved the view from our balcony at all times, both in the morning and in the evening when the sun was setting.
From Black River we explored all the beaches as well as the beauty of Black River Gorges National Park, Rhumerie de Chamarel, Casela Park, the coast in general and the wider area.
The second week we booked an Oasis Villa in the heart of Grand Baie (in the north of the island), which was a very cool experience. Grand Baie is basically the heart of Mauritius, this is where most tourists come. For us, it was a good place to take catamaran rides and just enjoy the atmosphere. Of course we also explored the surrounding area and it was a great area with some very nice beaches.
The third and last week we spent at the 5 star resort The Residence (on Belle Mare beach). So that was the last week we spent on the east side of the island. This was perhaps the most beautiful part of the island for me. Less tourists, more quiet, very clean and natural beaches with even clearer water.
We learned that you can book first class restaurants at any resort. And we had very nice restaurant experiences. One of the best was the INTI restaurant, located at LUX Grand Gaube Resort.
In general, the weather has been great. The sun has been shining. There were 3 days when it was quite cloudy and rained lightly, but that was actually a relief and we spent those days both in the Casela Animal Park and for sightseeing in the capital.
It's funny how quickly the weather can change in Mauritius, nothing is certain. For example, one day we were just roasting on the beach, it was so hot and then that same afternoon we went to a volcano crater and it just got so cloudy and rainy and we got all wet. And then after 30 minutes the sun came out again like nothing happened.
I heard from my friends that sometimes their whole vacation in Mauritius was ruined because of the weather. You can't be sure of anything. So you just have to pick a time when it's not raining. When you travel to this paradise island, you should just choose the right time to make the most of it and really enjoy it.
It's also called the paradise island. Just make sure you go to the right places, the beautiful places. Do some research and enjoy. Otherwise, if you just drive around haphazardly, you might be disappointed. There are a lot of easy places that you should definitely visit.
I was also amazed at how clean the island was. Well, compared to most islands in Asia, like the Philippines, Bali, Thailand, etc. I don't know why people call Bali a paradise island. I've been there twice and it's super dirty. There is nothing like that in Mauritius. I was amazed by the natural beauty and clean coasts and streets.

Wow, you covered a lot of tours in 3 weeks! Beautifully filmed, but I would have liked to hear some nature sounds when you were at the look outs at Black River Gorges, Grande Riviere Sud Est, Catamaran Tours, your Hotel Resorts etc.
