I think she just gave up, it is extremely common for anime/manga industry that people just quit. Grinding the drawing tablet each day year after year with little to no tangible success (moderate small success usually does the opposite effect for your motivation on most people, it can demoralize you). It is hard, i think for art as a profession you should think it like a marathon run. COnsistency is more important than small short time bursts of creativity which just burns you down. Making manga your career requires secific kind of mentality, 3 volumes is not much within that time span.

This was such a weird review, you describe the series as having no sorta clear goal/ world yet it’s very clear. You also compare the series to ruthless render but whilst I’ve heard good things about it let’s be real it looks like a fan manga that isn’t official where as no ame has art that looks like a true manga, I stumbled on it by chance and when I read that first chapter I was hooked, I wanted to know more, I looked at every detail it had and understood what kind of story it would be, so the fact your saying you have no clue what’s happening means you’ve clearly glazed it. It’s very obvious it’s a typical modern day world with detective based plots and mystery with a spice of action, the power system is fully fleshed out too Honestly I don’t get why you think it shouldn’t have won cuz even if it was from connections the story itself is absolutely amazing

Tbh is quite realistic that he didn’t get what he wanted, not everyone gets what they want out of life.
