@@KendallAdventureandTravel Nice job! Congrats!!
Good video Dave
Thank you
What you going to do? Get another one
HAHA I did! Dave
The blue in contrast with the surroundings would be a distraction to me. Great review.
It could be a distraction, but until I have some good miles on other I won't know...Thanks for watching...Dave
Our Humphries is 16 months old. What you described, all true, every word. But it's love at first sight!
Good from 7 Jurock too recognize you are the guy that gives good feedback. However im from EU so the shipping and import costs give me a doubt. I also see there is a windscreen from Wunderlich. Do you have any experience with that? Im so tempted to get the blue 7 jurock. Think it will match very good with my white K1600GT-P
I also considered the Wunderlich windshield, but after comparing the price points I went with the 7 Jurock....Dave
BMWs are great bikes, but BMW stands for Bring More Wallet. I have owned 5 BMWs, (K75s, R1150RT, K1200s, K1600GT and K1600GTL) all bikes were very comfortable, but apart from the K75s all were expensive to own. I know ride a K1600GTL and enjoy the power and comfort and extras. I also owned a FJR which was a great and reliable bike, but needed a different seat. I think that you made a great choice with the GT, I hope that it brings you lots of smiles. Stay Upright and enjoy
Thank you...Dave
Feel sorry for us. Those furry dogs were total loyal babies that loves hard
Loved my The 7Jurock lite tinted windscreen on my GTL was, but the blue tint is bitchen
Thanks for watching...Dave
Very helpful video, Dave. Thank you! By the way, how useful (or not) is the K's own navigation feature - the 'new' BMW system? Also, when you can, could you please share your experience and opinion about the GSA vs. the K1600GT, how the bikes compare in riding, rallying, etc. (I'm considering a similar change.) Thanks again for this great channel. Avi.
The BMW Nav system isn't very good, it may work ok, but when it loses connection, and it does often, you loose incite of upcoming turns. When the system does work, map mode, it ties up your phone completely. If you need to send a text or email or anything it disrupts map mode....As far as a bike comparison. Let me see what I can do. Thanks for watching...Dave
@@KendallAdventureandTravel Thank you. (A friend who rides a K1600 told me the navigation system improved somewhat after the dealer run a software update recently.) Looking forward to your thoughts on the GT vs. the GSA. Love your channel!
@@avrahamazrieli5762 Thanks again...
Also purchased a windshield from Jurock a year ago and found it to be a great product & great service. Not blue. Will be interested to hear how you found it for night riding.
Ill do an update after I get some good miles on it...Dave
Had a Klock Werks on a Roadglide and loved it. Tried one on my GTL. Went back to the stock screen. I’m not sure about flairs on adjustable screens.
I also had a Klock Werks, but I can say so far this has worked great for me...
Hi there Dave, can you tell me what rear tyre pressure you have and do you change the tyre pressure if you have a pillion? Personally I found that 38psi is smooth. But is that safe?!!
I started with much lower pressure, around 32, but have gradually increased to 38 and I like it. I have another friend that rides 2 up all the time at the same pressure..Dave
@ FMI, so what is the reason for you choosing lower pressure? And why not stick to 42?
@@Saltani129 So my thought was the 42 rated PSI is for th motorcycle tire, this is an actual car tire, most passenger car tire PSI are 32-35 range....If I run 32 the TPMS went off, at 36 and up no lights Dave
That’s a great price. Fast forward, our pup cost $160 in WA State.
I too was excited to find out the 2025 Rally will be happening. Although I will not be applying I will be at the start location to see the action (riding from Indiana). Hope ya get in, Dave.
Look me up, hoping that im there...Dave
Hope you get selected!
Thanks....
great video just retired thought i was going to have it easy but found a puppy mill rescue dog you are right they are the best ever my follows me everywhere but i SURE LOVE THIS DOG would not trade her in for all the money in the world
This is great, im glad they are having it, i really hope you get in Dave i really enjoy your videos, and im looking forward to seeing how the K1600 does compared to the GS.
Thank you Sir....
Seeing that you are a previous finisher, and you continue to do rallies and long distance rides you should be fine. That Snafu rally finish might help also.
I hope so but there are no guarantees in life...Dave
Small update, the 11L click bag works perfect for me.
Interesting.....Ill have to take a look...Dave
@KendallAdventureandTravel however, i have a 2016 model without a reverse button. I predict the reverse button will hit the bag

My go to gas station was in Leakey (Stripes). It's just a little south of 337 in Leakey. Bent Rim and Mill Creek Cafe were delicious. Anyone know the scoop on the house a little north of Campwood? It's got an adobe looking wall with broken bottles sitting along the top. You can't see the house from the road but from satellite it's a fancy looking place. I'm thinking a house of a Hollywood star or drug cartel lol. Oh, and watch out for nails and screws on the road in Campwood. 😡 I enjoyed that little memorial tree at the intersection of 335 and 41. It uh, it was a good place to empty the bladder too 🤫.
So the house you reference with the broken bottles...No true idea but its a cool way of deterring guests...
We tried it one night. He whimpered and I took him (Standard Golden Doodle) to bed with us….never in the crate again.
Yeah I cant have my fur babies crying, they don't live long enough as it is, let them live their best life...Dave
Quick question, does it matter which direction you take? I was told to take 336 north and come back around.
It doesn't matter, the views and the ride will be the same, but it seems most people go, 337/3335/336, but again it doesn't change anything other than you will see more riders going the other way...Dave
I've gone both ways and my preference was clockwise. For some reason it just made for a more enjoyable ride, especially 336.
@@AceGoodheart I prefer clockwise myself, oddly I cant say why? I guess ive ridden it in that direction more?
The 3 Twisted Sisters. All are endowed with exquisite curves. The younger sister (335) will give you a roller-coaster ride with her many ups and downs. The middle sister (336) will give you great views of her valley and mountains. The older sister with her longer legs let's you enjoy her bushy valley as you work up to her mountains. Occasionally one of the sisters will complain and put a ro k in your path as you Ride 'Em Hard and Put "Em Away Wet!! From Bandera to Vanderpool I prefer 470/187 through Tarpley. The section of 337 from Vanderpool to Leakey is the best part of 337..
Kind of related what do you do with your old rally flags? Do you have them mounted?
For now mine are folded and stored in a desk drawer, but I want to hang them in my garage...Dave
And who said you’re not an engineer? If you want an even a smaller or lighter unit, just give me a holler. It looks good - Jim

We just rescued a 5-month-old GD, we are 72 and he changed our lives. We now walk 3 to 5 miles a day, we lost weight and my doctor had to cut my blood pressure med because I no longer need it. The local Humane Society we got him from didn't know if he was a mini, petite, or standard. Now at almost eight months he weighs about 30 pounds, so we know he's not a STANDARD. Yea. But everything g you said is exactly our experience.

I don't use Google Maps for the same reason. So far, MyRoute-App is my favorite route planning tool. Is your ipad rugged enough mounted on your bike?
Curious, which POI viewer did you use? Thanks!
I am an apple guy, in the App Store it doesn't have a name, but it comes up first when I searched...Look for the symbol that I show when I open it....Wish I had a better answer....Dave
@@KendallAdventureandTravelDave: Thanks for all your videos. A few questions about the iPad. What size iPad do you use? For it to work while you’re riding, do you use your phone as a hot spot? Or does it have built in cell service? Any issues with it overheating? Which mount do you use? What case do you use? Sorry for the long list.
@@waltermitty7452 Great questions: So I started with the IPAD case, and wanted to use a quad lock to mount it, so at the time the only case quad lock sold was for the IPAD mini version 6, so I started there. The iPad came next, it does have its own cell service, and I think that cost me like $20 a month?. When it came time to mount it, I had started this on my GSA and used it there, I built a mount from quadlocck parts that went on my tank bag. Now on the K1600 GT, I use a BCD designs mount, it's made for the quad lock. I didn't know at the time, but IPADS do not have the metal back to allow for wireless charging. If you look at my channel I did a video on the mount when I installed it on my K1600. Hope this helps...Dave

Hi Dave, im a little worried now. Just ordered a 11L click bag for my K bike. Thanks for the good review.

Thanks Dave! I bought a Wunderlich seat from your suggestion and now I think I'm going to need a click 6. You need an affiliates link 🙂 If you ever have the time, I'd love to see a demonstration of "how you use your ipad (in conjunction with your GPS)" during a rally. Cheers, Ed
Thanks for watching, sorry that I seem to be spending your money, but you won't be disappointed with that bag....Ill get a video on how I use the IPAD, ive been thinking about it....Dave
I've been looking at both of these tents for quite a while so it's good to see them side by side in the same video. However, there are a number of flaws with this review. You mention a number of times that you never use the guy lines but then also complain about how the tent sets up, the ground sheet for example. The only reason those hooks are coming undone is because the tent isn't set up with enough tension to stretch it out correctly. 12:20 shows just how poorly you set tents up as the base of the Redverz is loose as hell. You spend several minutes stating that the GS doesn't fit in the LR but does in the much larger Redverz but when you actually do it, it seems to stick out even further. Either way, take the damn top box off and problem solved. As for all that 'extra space'... good luck getting to it from the sleeping area with the door closed and the bike inside so while it may have a small amount of extra vestibule space it simply isn't usable wit the bike inside. The Redverz is also far more expensive and has less features such as the pockets that many will use even if you personally don't, the front door that can be used with the awning kit... All in all, it's a really poor comparison as you don't even mention any of the tech spec of either tent regarding hydro-static head and a number of other things but you certainly have a biased, personal preference, probably due to the longer ownership and that is evident.
Thanks for the feed back, I do appreciate it...Dave
