@@KendallAdventureandTravel Have you ever had any issues with the Quad Lock scrambling your phone camera? Or scrambling the iPad camera. I used to run an iPhone 6s via an X-Grip on my dual sport and never had an issue due to the 6s being so old that the camera didn’t have the Image Stabilization. However, I had a buddy who scrambled two iPhone cameras via an X-Grip on his KLR. Now we both very gun shy about ever using our phones on our bars….we just stick to running our Garmin only. I liked have two things going at once…The Garmin zoomed in and the phone zoomed out, or vice versa. But I’m not willing to risk it right now. Having said that, I’ve not used the Quad Lock….which I’d told can be bought with some sort of damper.
Glad you found a solution - only worry is the weight & vibration on iPad with attachment to plastic. Did you back up the inside with washers or an additional metal strap to help support the weight? Just a thought. Got my IBA 50CC certificate - yea! Jim
Congrats again on a great ride, You bring up a valid point. The back is supported by washers and the plastic is designed with support in mind, but we will see how much the IPAD moves around as it vibrates and I can decide if more is needed. Dave
Looks slick.
Yeah man I am super happy with it...Dave
