Okay, so now you've solved the water going in (hydration) issue for LD rides. How do you manage the water going out problem? I've got to stop and pee once an hour and that slows me down considerably. I have an iron butt but, at age 61, do not have an iron bladder. 😞
well I know of 2 ways. 1. Exit the interstate and utilize the side of the road, my option. or 2. use an external catheter, not going down this road...Dave
I just installed my motojug/rtic today and can see why you went in another direction than stock. Ill give it some test runs before deciding what to do.
I had exactly the same issue with MotoJug. I just couldn't get it to sit right on my 2011 GS. Like you I was looking to bolt a plate to the passenger peg when I saw Seals offering this for sale on the GS Facebook page. I have one on the way. I haven't looked yet, but how easy is it to remove the rubber from the existing footpeg? Thanks for the videos.
I have done that millions of time, if its 1 day ride its okay, but if its multiple, like the Iron Butt Rally , its starting to hurt my shoulders from the weight, and this jug fills up faster holds more water and keeps it substantially colder...Dave

The rubber piece comes off super easy, I didn't even struggle, just lift the putter end and it pulled right off. Thanks for watching...Dave
If you fall off the bike there is no risk of forcing your leg against the water rack?
Of course there is that possibility, or the under the pannier, there are inherent risks to all of these things...Dave
Why didnt you just use a hydration bag in a back pack or as on a klim jacket mine works fine
Ive done many hot day rides in 110deg F range
