Hi. Thank you for your video, no waffling just clear instructions. I'm 3 months post op and not coping with my stoma. The bags are very uncomfortable to wear. They have a plastic round plate which I don't see the point of. It cakes alot. I like the look of the two piece. I notice you don't measure your stoma and just cut a hole in the flange.

It's not the actual taste, it's the consistency for me, it makes me gag and I have flashbacks of retching drinking this stuff.

I was expecting more pain from the injection, but there was almost none. In fact, I wasn't even sure that I did it correctly until I saw the little pinhole from the injection site. It's four years after you first posted this, and I hope that you are well!

Hey Kayla- You are so GORGEOUS!! And look AMAZING in everything!! I have a question for you,. I have an ileostomy, and you can always see the outline of my bag when I wear any tops. Do you wear a wrap? Or do you have any tips for keeping the bag from sticking out? When I wear jeans the top of my bag always balloons out, or the top of the bag ( above the base plate) sticks out. It won't lay flat against my body. I can't seem to figure out a way to keep this from happening, any ideas? Thank you so much for this video. I have had my ileostomy for over a year, and have been and am struggling to find ways to dress. Like you have that cute tank, and when I wear anything semi tight, you can totally see the bag. I just feel so lost, so thank you for this . Please keep doing this, because it is SO HELPFUL

Hi Kayla, I have had an Ileostomy for about 3 1/2 years now. I've been real lucky so far when it comes to leaks; however, recently my wife and I were at a nice restaurant when my ostomy bag decided to leak. I now do an extra step when it comes to putting on my ostomy bag. Thank you so much for making this video. I've recently had a cancer removed from my bowel and had to have an ileostomy fitted as a result of this 6 weeks ago. I've had a lot of embarrassing leaks especially when I'm driving and I began to think that I need to change my underwear and clothing to accommodate wearing the bag. Your video has made me so happy that I can now shop for different fashion wear and feel confident in going out again. Sending you love from me I'm in England xx

Thanks for sharing your experience. Humira works well for many people but it nearly killed me. I went from sleeping like a baby my whole life to the most extreme insomnia, which is not an uncommon side effect. The drug was very effective for 5 months until it stopped working altogether. The insomnia persisted for another 4 years, which is also not uncommon. I knew I was in big trouble when in desperation one night I took 2 Ambien and was still wide awake 6 hours later. Before Humira, the few times I took Ambien I had to cut the pill in half because it knocked me out so hard I could barely function the next day. Humira did a number on my nervous system. Later I was prescribed 2 generic pills for my Ankylosing Spondylitis, which worked better than the biologic and is still working 7 years later. Everybody is different. You have to do your research and weigh the risks. In my opinion, biologics should only be considered when other less risky options are not appropriate. Newer is not always better unless you are referring to drug company profits. A month's supply of the 2 drugs I take costs about $40 retail (without insurance--$20 with insurance). Humira costs $7000 a month.

I had a bad reaction and threw up so bad they had to cancel my appt it was bad that I was dehydrated had to stay in the hospital to recover...not doing that again.

I was close very close to crohns disease but I went gluten free dairy free and took years but healed my gut . Still healing but vast improvement. Naturopath functional medicine dr saved my life. We knew a family their 7-10 year old years ago , maybe close to 10 years now she had this surgery this kid . And she preferred it over the pain. This kid was bleeding like crazy. I had massive leaky gut and they did a Live Blood cell test and my gut was severely damaged…..I was scheduled by another dr for a endoscopy and my functional dr said cancel it the way your gut is it could perforate it and you would be in worse trouble then what your in now.

Thank you for the video. I have my first colonoscopy next week so I’m watching videos to get some tips. My co worker just had one and said it has the most disgusting taste ever. I’m going to store tomorrow to get the Gatorade to try this trick. The jug looks HUGE. I am a very slow drinker so this is going to be very hard for me but the video helps. I’m getting broth and jello etc to have two nights before so all I eat is broth and jello and water and plain coffee for at least two days before starting this prep . I have read to stay away from certain things like nuts , fruits , veggies , beans and red meats 5 days before colonoscopy. I can’t wait for this to be over

I finally got an appt with the ostomy and wound care nurse. She put me in a colotec ostomy bag with a convex and a silicone paste. Now I also really like colopast products as well. Hollister I had to let go of since when there is gas you have to go in and burp it. I am at the moment seeing how long I can wear this set up. I can't do the one piece I get more leakage with it.

I am one month out and still healing so jeans etc are out at this moment. I developed an infection in the 12 inch incision so at the moment very difficult finding clothing I can do. Looking forward to healing and being able to actually put together clothing again. Oh well one day at a time.

I just received my prescription drug in the mail today to treat psoriasis of the nails. So I’ll begin to administer my first injection soon! Wish you guys better health throughout your journey using Humira! ✌️

Hello Kayla. First time tuning and I am learning so much, thank you so very much. Now, appears that more and more people is having this procedure as more younger like you. Well, kudos to you that you have embraced your condition amazingly well, making you leave normal and perhaps better than those with not visible issues. So, no gloves require, do you keep especial trash can, any issues at bed time, shower, work? Once again, thank you so very much for your openess and great help. My respect and 💙👍
