I started watching you after I got my ostomy back in May this year 2022 I had to have emergency surgery and when I came out I had an ostomy being 56 years old and waking up with an ostomy was an adjustment but Fred (my ostomy) saved my life!! Can I ask. Why did you need a illestomy. Asking because I might need one ecssue of s paralyzed ileus, never got better. So happy that you're better.
I had ulcerative colitis that suddenly turned severe and could not get under control with medications! Prednisone was the only thing keeping me out of a flare, but I couldn't stand to be on it long-term. If you end up getting one, I hope you have a good experience with it like I have so far!
How do you deal with the embarrassing ostomy noises while dating ?
That’s a great question!! I make a joke out of it and his response helps me determine if the guy is right for me 😂 if they can roll with it and are accepting of it, they are going to be a great support for you if you were to ever get sick and need their help.

That’s a good perspective actually! Sometimes I think of it as, maybe there’s not some”one” for everyone but as long as we can find companionship- could be from a pet- or even within our own selves, life feels a little more special!
