- Thank you for watching! I hope this is helpful. I mention in the video that my skin is allergic to the adhesive on ostomy bags and using the skin protective sheet has really helped. If you notice your skin getting red bumps and feeling SUPER itchy when you wear bags, this might be a solution for you too.
Of note... if you start to feel itchy right around your stoma, that could be a sign that your output is starting to leak onto your skin and that means it's time to change your bag!

I'm 6 weeks post op.
Colostomy.
I haven't used a skin protector sheet, stoma powder, or the spray. I have skin prep wipes.
I didn't know cloroplast made a one-piece! Looks great.!
Thank you for all of your wonderful knowledge! It makes a difference for so many people dealing with these issues 🙏🏻⭐️❤️
Thank you so much for helping me with my new Ostomy you are an angel 😇.
Your video is very touching. My Mum wears an ostorma bag. So I know what it feels like
Very helpful; thank you! It's hard to find information on the protective sheets. They seem like they would be helpful in allowing my skin to heal a bit.
The protective sheet is good to know about if my skin starts reacting negatively. I tried both the one piece and two piece. I found, for me the two piece works best (i.e. if I eat something before I go to bed that gives me a lot of gas I can just set up in bed, burb the bag (not have to go to the rest room) lie back down and I'm back to sleep.
How come you don't use bags with filters so you don't have to burp the bag
@@Lekter I do use bags with a filter; however, at times the bag still fills up like a balloon. I burp it and I am back to sleep before I know it.
Hi Kayla, could you list all your products you used? I'm so new to this and so appreciate your positivity and videos ❤

Wow I just found your channel and thank you thank you thank you thank you I wish I had known about these years ago because I Have a ostomy for 14 years and It is hard to get information when you don't know anyone with it
Ty!❤
Intimate times 🤣👍
In regards to using skin protector sheet, what would be the idea?. A Skin .Protective Sheet is something I've never used
My skin is allergic to the adhesive on ostomy bags - it had extremely irritated redness, itchy, painful bumps, . I've found that the adhesive on the skin protective sheet does not bother my skin :)
👍❤❤
Hey Kayla what size is the protection sheet U use. Was looking into getting some for myself and my illeostmy
I use the 6 inch by 6 inch!
So is it better to use the barrier sheet versus the eakin ring?
For me, I need the barrier sheet for my skin since it is so allergic to the adhesive of the bags I've tried! So it's not only protecting the skin right around my stoma, but the rest of my skin as well!
I got a rash around the edge of the barrier sheet. So this doesn't work for everyone. I had high hope that this was the answer. But sadly it was not
Awe man! That stinks! If you find something that works, please share!
Wish I could find these curved scissors. Takes me forever to cut my wafer
Amazon!! I'll link the ones that I use!

hey Kayla, i have one question please, is your appendix inside or is it out with your surgery ? thanks for answer Mike
Hey Mike! I actually had my appendix removed a couple years prior to surgery. I'm not positive, but I imagine with the location of the appendix, it would probably come out with ileostomy surgery!
@@OstomyLifeUnfiltered thank you and i wish you the very best
