We’ve talked a few times on instagram. I also fail entyvio. I’m so glad I had mine. Watching your videos helped make my decision also. 7 weeks now and getting better everyday

I'm so happy that we connected on instagram! My whole goal was to help others feel more confident about their decision before surgery, so that makes me so fulfilled to hear!

Thanks for your video! Glad you are doing well! I watched your Humira video back when I was going on that. Now I am scheduled for surgery in March! All the best with your business and living with an ostomy. I would love videos on anything ostomy related, or even work appropriate fashion with an ostomy. I will be working in an office 2 days/ week. We are business casual.

Great update (I think it's fine to plug your new business also). I have only had my ileostomy bag for about five months now so I'm extra cautious about what I eat. I had mentioned to you about a friend that has had an ileostomy bag for 40 years. I asked him about blockage and he told me it only happened to him once.

Oh GOOD! That's such great news. I have one friend who has experienced a few blockages in her first year and now that she has a j pouch - it is still happening, I wonder if it is just narrower "plumbing" ... anyways I'm happy that your friend only had one in his 40 years, that's my hope for my own journey!

Great video. I've had a colostomy for almost 18 years (4th one since brith) up until this past Wednesday. I am actually still in the hospital, but doing well. I am and have been watching and reading so much and I love the videos you've posted. So inspirational and motivational. I do have experience with a stoma, but ileostomy is going to be somewhat different for me, I believe, in a good way. Thank you!

Thank you Robert! I'm thinking of you! I hope you heal up quick and can get back home soon! I bet your transition from a colostomy to an ileostomy will be an easy one! I feel like the one thing you might notice is having to empty your bag more often with an ileostomy than you did with a colostomy- less intestine to hold the output! You'll have to let me know if my theory is right!

This is 100% me right now. 2 year flare and have failed 4 biologics, prednisone dependency. It’s awful and I’m mentally ready for surgery. Which is where we are at now. I miss entyvio so much because it worked for 3.5 years and I was “normal” again. So sad I failed it.

That is so frustrating when a medication suddenly stops working - I remember feeling like I was just in “survival mode.” It’s soooo good that you are researching and prepping your mind before surgery!! I totally believe that’s what helped me have a great experience and quick healing !!

You're very wise to have taken it head on. Pain is no fun.

I have questions. What about nutrition. What do you eat and what about vitamins. What do you take. Share the names. And meals. What meals do you make.

I am scared of the outcome. Since my diagnosis I've had my gallbladder removed 2 kidney stones and skin rashes, and my husbands not very supportive.

I don't have an ostomy but I do wear a bag connected to a catheter. I enjoy wearing leggings and leotards but with a catheter it makes it hard to hide the bag. I know that sometimes an ostimate will let their bag show. Would it be okay to let a urine bag show. I do know that our journeys have similarities that we have to overcome.

So far, I’ve been able to have all fruits and vegetables! People warned me against eating pineapple at first, so I haven’t tried that yet still!
