Kayla !Thanks for sharing your great story and that is pretty cool you look so healthy , how long did it take that you got red of pains and what physical activities can you do now ? I know there are several ostomy surgery , what was for you ? sorry many questions
Oh my gosh!!! I'm so sorry I missed your comment for a whole year. Thank you! I would say it probably took me the full 6 weeks to really get rid of the pains. I now can do any physical activity I want! Jetski, swim, run, jump, exercise like I did before, it's amazing! I had an ileostomy surgery, so they removed my large intestine, but kept my rectum in place in case I ever want to do the j-pouch surgery in the future, but I am not sure I want to do that! At least not anytime soon.
Thank you! He is my best little buddy! I'm not sure exactly what he is, I just call him a "tuxedo" haha but all I do know that he doesn't have long enough hair to be the rag doll breed!
I actually felt good enough to do light chores around the house after a week! Fully recovered - I would definitely say the 6 weeks. I started working out again, lightly, probably 2 and a half months after surgery and then started lifting weights again 6 months after surgery!
Why is it my bag keeps splitting at the top of it it goes all wrinkled and waxes then it shows holes that’s it’s coming of slowly why can anybody help me pls does this happen to them or did it ?
@@OstomyLifeUnfiltered hi since I left you that message my stoma nurse has gave me a thin belt to wear that clips on my stoma bag and it hasn’t leaked once so the belt is working and also I can wear a pair of pants they give you to stop you getting a hernia as well

Hmm that's a good question, are you wearing a tight waist band that makes your output only go to the top of your bag?

@@Michelle-qd9gm Oh brilliant!! I'm so happy that has worked for you!
@@OstomyLifeUnfiltered thank you 😊
Can I ask you do you feel hungry a lot even an hour after dinner ?
Yes! I try to eat frequent small meals throughout the day. I find that I can't just do 3 big meals a day. Smaller is better and every few hours!
