      Oh my gosh!!! I'm so sorry I missed your comment for a whole year. Thank you! I would say it probably took me the full 6 weeks to really get rid of the pains. I now can do any physical activity I want! Jetski, swim, run, jump, exercise like I did before, it's amazing!
      I had an ileostomy surgery, so they removed my large intestine, but kept my rectum in place in case I ever want to do the j-pouch surgery in the future, but I am not sure I want to do that! At least not anytime soon.

      Thank you! He is my best little buddy! I'm not sure exactly what he is, I just call him a "tuxedo" haha but all I do know that he doesn't have long enough hair to be the rag doll breed!

    How long does it take to recover ?

    • @OstomyLifeUnfiltered
      @OstomyLifeUnfiltered  2 года назад +1

      I actually felt good enough to do light chores around the house after a week! Fully recovered - I would definitely say the 6 weeks. I started working out again, lightly, probably 2 and a half months after surgery and then started lifting weights again 6 months after surgery!

      Hmm that's a good question, are you wearing a tight waist band that makes your output only go to the top of your bag?

      @OstomyLifeUnfiltered  3 года назад

      Yes! I try to eat frequent small meals throughout the day. I find that I can't just do 3 big meals a day. Smaller is better and every few hours!
