Thank you for sharing all of this, it's so good to hear. I have had an ileostomy due to my colonic inertia. My colon stopped, although it was devastating to me and my husband. I wouldn't be here, if I didn't get the surgery. I have learned so much from your videos, I hope you feel better, you inspire me. Congrats on your new hubby, and beautiful baby girl.
Thank you for breaking it down. Ive gone back and forth about the barbie butt surgery. Ive had UC for over 10 years and then had to do an emergency surgery for an ileostomy last year. I 'poop' out from my rectum daily mucus and usually some blood. Im basically 98% leaning to keep keeping my bag, life is just so much better! I am afraid of doing the barbie surgery, as you said recovery can vary so Im pushing it out as far as I can until.
As someone who had been originally diagnosed with UC at age 20 and then recently rediagnosed with Crohn’s in my 50s a lot of my mom memories are tinged with so much fatigue and just “pushing “ myself to keep up. I don’t know what the answer is for you, but don’t put off feeling your best until after the kids are older. Whatever you think will be right later might be ok whenever you’re ready for it - even if it’s now. But I have no idea about what’s best just giving you another perspective. I hope your scope goes well. I will pray for you and wisdom for your doctor. Good luck.
@@juliae.8237 I totally feel this where I’m pushing myself to not let her see that mommy is “sick.” I know how much more energy I felt after having my large intestine removed for ileostomy surgery so I’m holding onto that as encouragement to get through another surgery. I wanna feel healthy and full of energy for my girl! I appreciate you sharing your story!! Thank you!
Dear Kayla I wish you luck and the best decision for that ultimative surgery. My opinion about inflammations has become quite more psychological (inflammation means anger, rage) so I try to change the disposition of myself to get angry. Atm it is working... All the best, feel healthy❤
Ooh yes I can see that way of thinking! Stress really affects my flaring as well which can be so frustrating because you can’t always avoid it. Just learning to manage it better 🥰 I’m happy it’s working for you!!
I understand your thinking. I went straight to the BB surgery 9 months after my ostomy surgery. It took about 6 months to close up. You might be quicker since you will have more time since your ostomy surgery.❤
i hope you get your rectum sorted asap i had massive abscess up there in my stump they took it out but i could not be sewn up i had to have mine packed to heal from the top to the bottom so it could drain only thing with that it took a long time to heal but i kept getting small pockets of infection So i really hope yours goes well ❤❤xx
@@johnc6838 how was your recovery after making it permanent? I had a couple friends who had the j pouch and ended up back with the bag! That was enough for me to decide I didn’t want to go through an extra surgery if I can help it.

This was very informative, I’ve learned about how having temporary or temporary ileostomy works.

Ooh 6 months! Yes I wonder how long it will be for me!

A great explanation, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you ❤
I opted for a permanent iliostomy. I heard too many horror stories about J pouches.
@@johnc6838 how was your recovery after making it permanent?
I had a couple friends who had the j pouch and ended up back with the bag! That was enough for me to decide I didn’t want to go through an extra surgery if I can help it.
Bless you and good luck with what ever choice you make 🙏
