That Tire was abnormally thick, plus it's not a heavy big knife was tough, w all that pressure DC-53 held up...

Still a viable good steel for sword craft and know really came down in price and can be found on budget models. That being said compared to sx105v tool steel...not as tough or versatile and T10 has more tendency to take a set on misaligned cuts, SX 105 is just a better, upgrade in Steel...S5 is by far toughest of the 2 and is called a shock resistance steel. Along with some others S5 is the toughest steel today....in all respects....I have hit the spine onto stone, and blade is still in tact

And excellent ones at that...batoning is a method of testing how solid the build is, how resilient the steel is, heat temper quality and edge retention, all works into my whole review of knives, in my videos, and hey in a situation you would need your knife if it's all you have to warm make a fire, cook some food...not everyone can carry an axe all the time
