Now that you say it, yes it is harder to cut, thought it was the sword I needed to push into the cut harder...need a higher target area, but it works well, love bamboo...thankyou brother B.

the problems of words of northshire is that their menuki is ALWAYS on the wrong side of the tsuka. If you're right handed then your right hand finger tip should be touching the menuki, not your palm. As is now the menuki on your sword is for left handed user. SON has never fixed this problem. For many users, the menuki in palm grip causes tear after prolong use.

There has been a split in the market of people's preference both ways, but if you want the Minuki placed historically correct, you can request it on a custom build
